[[folder:Johnny Test]]
!!Jonathan Xavier "Johnny" Test
[[quoteright:294:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/johnny_large.png]]
[[caption-width-right:294:"Woah! [[{{DidntSeeThatComing}} Didn't see that coming.]]"]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/JamesArnoldTaylor

The show's protagonist and youngest member of the Test family. Johnny creates many of the show's plots through his willingness to abuse his sister's inventions or [[LoopholeAbuse cut some corner in life]]. His best friend is Dukey, his (talking) dog. Occasionally Johnny fights crime using superpowers gained from his sisters under the name Johnny X.
----
* AesopAmnesia: Johnny learns lessons. He just never ''remembers'' those lessons.
* AmbiguouslyBi: Johnny does display interest in girls including Sissy and Jillian Vegan but he gets into [[HoYay questionable moments]] with both Dukey and Gil. While it can be argued that Johnny loves Dukey in the same way that a typical boy loves his dog, Johnny's interactions with Gil are somewhat chummy as Johnny is not repulsed at all by Gil's comments towards him and he even accepted Gil's offer to go on a date with him, which involved a candlelit dinner.
* AnnoyingYoungerSibling: And apparently, he's holding back. He once got his sisters to agree to do something by threatening to somehow be 100 times more annoying… It worked!
* AttractiveBentGender: Whenever he dresses like a girl. He briefly turned into a beautiful teenage girl during the pilot after using 'Mega Hottie Body Flakes'.
* {{Blackmail}}: In the early seasons, around how Johnny convinces his sisters for a favor, the blackmail usually being 'unapproved' experiments.
* BlahBlahBlah: What Johnny always says whenever Susan and Mary try to tell him how their invention works or warn him about overusing it.
* BookDumb: Clever and manipulative, but a poor academic performer.
* BrattyHalfPint: Sometimes, Johnny just can't take "no" for an answer, leading him to use PuppyDogEyes and {{blackmail}} to manipulate his parents, dog, sisters, and authority figures.
* BrilliantButLazy: He only ''seems'' stupid; he's just too dang lazy to apply it to school or much else. However, if it's something that has to be done or he really wants to do, he can come up with plans even his sisters find downright amazing. Basically, it's surmised that while his sisters got all the smarts, he got all of the creativity.
* ButtMonkey: [[UnsympatheticComedyProtagonist Not that he doesn't bring a lot of his downfalls onto himself]], but many episodes revolve around making Johnny suffer some sort of fatal predicament and make sure things don't end in his favor.
* CantGetAwayWithNuthin: If Johnny uses some advantage for personal benefit, it will almost certainly backfire on him by the end of the episode. In a few instances, he has to use the advantage for the greater good, costing him his benefit. A good example is where he obtained x-ray vision to win at a game show, the prize being enough money to be set for life. Before he can actually select the suitcase and get the money, Dukey convinces him to go and save the [[ItMakesSenseInContext library from being taken by the mole people]].
* CatchPhrase:
** "Whoa, [[{{DidntSeeThatComing}} didn't see that coming]]!"
** "Say, wha-?"
** "You don't love me!"
** "Now where have I seen this before?"
* CharacterTitle: The show's title refers to him.
* CosmicPlaything: More or less. A majority of the plots center around many obstacles getting in the way of Johnny's goals and ruthlessly tormenting him. How terrible his day is [[DependingOnTheWriter depends on the writer]].
* CrossDresser: Johnny does not like having to do this often as a result of either his sister's experiments on him or missions that Mr. Black and Mr. White puts him on.
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: The kid's got a dunce streak in him. But he ''always'' saves the day.
* DeadpanSnarker: He can deliver witty, snarky lines every now and then.
* DumbBlonde: He's BookDumb and blond.
* GirlsHaveCooties: [[ZigZaggedTrope Zig-zagged]] [[DependingOnTheWriter depending on the episode]]. Sometimes he shows interest in girls, while in one episode he's disgusted to have been kissed by a girl.
* HamToHamCombat: Against many of his villains, particularly Bling-Bling Boy.
* TheHero:
** He is declared TheChosenOne in one episode, where he helps a pair of [[Franchise/StarWars "Ribeye Knights"]] save their planet with nothing to gain for himself.
** He has also been called in by the government numerous times to help with any problems currently in need of fixing.
%%* HotBlooded: Quite excitable.
* IdenticalStranger: Johnny looks exactly like Princess Mirabelle, so the SSGA gets [[{{Crossdresser}} him to take her place]] when the princess goes missing.
* IdiotHero: In general, the mayhem caused in a good number of episodes could have been avoided entirely if Johnny hadn't tried using the girls' science to get out of chores, school, or [[TheSlacker anything else involving effort]]. Justified though in that he's only 11.
* ItsAllAboutMe: On some occasions, he can tend to be a bit selfish.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Despite being an UnsympatheticComedyProtagonist, he's a kid who still has a lot of growing up to do. He does deep down love his family and tries to be genuinely helpful occasionally. He's also the one who always saves the day even if he has nothing to gain.
* KidAnova: He had a few girls crush over him.
* KidHero: He saves the day from supervillains, invaders, and sometimes, his own mistakes.
* LargeHam: Johnny can get pretty dramatic and raise his excitable emotions to the roof.
* LaserGuidedKarma: Usually Johnny's immoral actions will come back to bite him in the ass.
* ManipulativeBastard: Johnny knows how to grift his parents and sisters to get his way.
* MySisterIsOffLimits: PlayedWith. While Johnny usually helps Susan avoid Bling-Bling Boy's affections to have her do his homework, he too is also disgusted by the idea of her going out with someone like him.
* {{Narcissist}}: He's a very self-centered individual.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: Many of the episodes' main threat is his fault in some way. Though in his defense, he always tries to fix it in the end.
* NoIndoorVoice: He doesn't have an indoor voice, especially in the house. He frequently yells.
* PlayingWithFire: His signature power is his '[[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin Flaming Power Poots]]'. He was also given the ability to engulf himself in flames to defeat the Brain Freezer in one episode.
* PuppyDogEyes: Sometimes Johnny will use puppy dog eyes to manipulate others.
%% * SensitiveGuyAndManlyMan: The Manly Man to Dukey's Sensitive Guy.
* SmallNameBigEgo: He thinks he's so cool. But to be fair, he has many accomplishments under his belt. Though he can't always walk his talk.
* TheSlacker: Johnny hates hard work and would rather lie, cheat and use his sisters' experimental and often highly dangerous science than actually do the work. This will often lead to him doing more work when he fixes his mistakes.
* SpoiledBrat: Subverted. While he has to resort to blackmail or begging to get what he wants from his sisters, they more or less often experiment on him as frequently and could be seen as a form of 'payment.' However, he does play this straight by being quite selfish and bratty.
* UnsympatheticComedyProtagonist: It can be hard to root for him in some episodes. He can be selfish, rude, and disrespectful. But this is mostly towards the people in his family. He behaves kindly enough towards friends and strangers for the most part. And even then if his family is in danger, he'll usually come to their aid in a heartbeat.
* VocalEvolution: His voice was deeper in season one, but season two onwards gives him more of a falsetto voice.
* VoiceChangeSurprise: One episode ends with him, in the aftermath of the episode hijinks, replying to a question from his parents by saying "Woof, woof" and then covering his mouth in surprise. Cue Dukey talking fluidly.
* WeaponizedStench: In "Stinkin' Johnny", Johnny enters a wrestling contest to win prize money. His main attack is a foul smell that he obtains after spraying himself with a perfume created by the girls that don't smell as intended.

[[folder:Dukey]]
!!Dukeson Leonard "Dukey" Test
[[quoteright:174:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/image3_1.jpeg]]
[[caption-width-right:174:"I'm a kid with a rare hair disorder".]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Louis Chirillo (season 1-4), Creator/TrevorDevall (season 5 onward, including revival series)
Johnny's talking dog who was genetically enhanced by Susan and Mary some time before the series. Dukey's main job is to act as Johnny's voice of reason even if he's prone to being ignored. That said, he's more than capable of doing the wrong thing himself if properly motivated (such as with steaks). On more than one occasion he acts as a crimefighter alongside Johnny under the monikers Super Pooch, X Pooch or Super Dukey, though after the earliest incidents he expresses a dislike for doing so.
----
* ActionPet: He ''is'' a black-belt in Kung-Fu.
%%* BadassBookworm
* BerserkButton: Harming, trying to kill and/or being responsible for Johnny's mortality in front of Dukey.
%% * BewareTheNiceOnes: You don't want to get on his bad side.
* BigFriendlyDog: Nearly Johnny's size, and has a sweet nature.
* BroughtToYouByTheLetterS: On his Super Pooch costume, although the letter is D which appears nowhere in his Super Pooch name.
** The letter in this case is a holdover from when his alter ego was called "Super Dukey". The writers have since flip-flopped on exactly what his superhero handle is between "Super Dukey", "Super Pooch" and "X Pooch".
* ButtMonkey: Gets lots of bodily harm.
* CatchPhrase: "I'm a kid with a rare hair disorder".
* TheChewToy: Dukey often suffers a lot of injuries as a result of Johnny's shenanigans. One such example was when Johnny tried to break a record and win money by participating in a stunt created by an eccentric billionaire, Dukey tried to stop Johnny from doing the stunt but ended up doing the stunt himself by accident, which resulted in him getting injured and put in a full body cast.
* CowardlyLion: Dukey will never miss an opportunity to complain and cower, but he comes through in the end.
* DeadpanSnarker: When you hang around with a troublemaker like Johnny, it comes naturally.
* TheDragAlong: Most of the time unless the situation calls for it.
* FunnyAnimal: An anthropomorphic dog, with emphasis on "funny".
* FunTShirt: In the earlier seasons, he sometimes wears a T-shirt with "Not A Dog" written on it when he pretends to be a human with a hair disorder.
* {{Gasshole}}: And he's not too shy about it either...
* HypercompetentSidekick: Borderline BeleagueredAssistant. However, his reason of doing matters is only out of being forced to go or Johnny's safety, being BrilliantButLazy
* IntellectualAnimal: Thanks to Susan and Mary's experimentation, Dukey is every bit as smart as a human [[OnlySaneMan and even sometimes more sensible]] than a lot of the human characters.
* LargeHam: While he usually tries to present himself as more down-to-earth, Dukey does enjoy hamming it up from time to time. Most often when there's an incentive or when he can't help but get engrossed in Johnny's over-the-top shenanigans.
* MansBestFriend: Or should we say Boy's Best Friend. Johnny is his human companion.
* MartialPacifist: Susan and Mary included the DNA of Kung Fu masters in his genetic code, making him a skilled martial artist...however, he doesn't like using it and more often would just prefer to stay at home and goof off than fight supervillains. He also refuses to teach it to Johnny since he knows Johnny doesn't have enough self control not to use it.
* MasterOfDisguise: Works due to most people in their world being stupid. He normally just says he's a 'kid with a rare hair disorder' and they believe him. He also sometimes wears a t-shirt that says "[[BlatantLies Not A Dog]]". Or, when he's trying to pass himself as a regular dog, he'll just say the word "woof" instead of actually barking.
* MoralityPet: Played with in the fact that although he tried to convince Johnny something is wrong (or right) to do, he often fails at changing Johnny's mind unless it has to do with his family. Also tries to convince the Sisters that treating Johnny like a guinea pig is wrong. Fails in that as well.
* OnlySaneMan: Though almost anyone looks sane next to Johnny. Dukey is probably the most believable voice of reason in this show.
* PhraseCatcher: More so in the earlier seasons; a RunningGag was that people would refer to him as "the/that ugly dog" or some variation there of, usually prompting him to retort, "I'm not that ugly!"
* PlotAllergy: In "Lil Johnny", Dukey starts sneezing constantly after he and Johnny get shrunk. Dukey says that he is sneezing because of his allergies but never states what he is allergic to. However, several dust mites appear on screen to attack Johnny and Dukey moments after Dukey states that he is allergic, which implies that Dukey is allergic to either dust or dust mites.
* ScreamsLikeALittleGirl: When he's scared.
%% * SensitiveGuyAndManlyMan: Sensitive Guy to Johnny's Manly Man.
* ShrinkingViolet: Shy, has feminine mannerisms, and a nice dog.
* SleepMask: Dukey sometimes wears a pink one in his sleep despite being a dog. Its most prominent in " Green Johnny"
* TrademarkFavoriteFood:
** Dukey would do anything for a steak. Or bacon.
** Also enjoys coffee.
* UndyingLoyalty: He may have doubts about Johnny's schemes but he is his loyal dog.
* UpliftedAnimal: He was originally a (comparatively) normal mutt before Susan and Mary gave him the abilities of a human.

[[folder:Susan and Mary Test]]
!!Susannah Felicity "Susan" Test and Mary Louise Test
[[quoteright:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/image2_1_2.jpeg]]
[[caption-width-right:300:"We're such geniuses."]]
->'''Susan voiced by:''' Creator/MarykeHendrikse
->'''Mary voiced by:''' Brittney Wilson (season 1, 5); Creator/AshleighBall (season 2-4, 6); Creator/EmilyTennant (revival series)
Johnny's older twin sisters who attend the Mega Institute of Technology. Both are geniuses capable of devising whatever machine the plot demands and most episodes relate at least partially to one of their experiments. Both Susan and Mary have a crush on local boy Gil that can work against them. Susan is also the object of affection of resident villain Bling-Bling Boy. Both sisters look identical except for their fashion choices (Susan wears squared glasses, a skirt and knee socks and has straight hair; Mary has curved lenses, wears jeans and has curled hair).
----
* AbhorrentAdmirer: To Gil, even though the guy is so oblivious to their advances that he cannot even remember their names.
* ATeamFiring: Once. Mary attempted to hit a transformed Dukey with the needle containing a serum that will turn him back to normal and [[EpicFail every shot hits somewhere on the wall around him.]]
-->'''Mary''': ''Man'' I am a lousy shot.
* AgentMulder and AgentScully: Mary and Susan, respectively; they even have the same first letter initial.
%%* {{Badass Bookworm}}s
* BalloonBelly: Not as often as Johnny or Dukey, but they will gorge themselves on occasion. One time they fattened themselves up with candy, and another they got bloated from eating too much ice cream.
* ButtMonkey: Susan has a lot of slapstick.
* CaptainErsatz: They look pretty much like a pair of older female [[WesternAnimation/DextersLaboratory Dexters]].
* CatchPhrase:
** "We're such geniuses." Well, in the first seasons anyway.
** And "*sighs* Gil, next door".
* ClingyJealousGirl: They tried to take out Jillian Vegan when Gil has a crush on her.
* CutLexLuthorACheck: A non-evil example. The ''only'' reason they bother inventing things is to get Gil to notice them. When he says that he's moving away, they immediately shut down the lab forever, and Johnny takes it upon himself to try and stop Gil from moving.
* DoggedNiceGuy: They try their best to win Gil's affections though he doesn't seem to notice them. Admittedly, they do go to some creepy lengths.
* FailureIsTheOnlyOption: Their attempts to attract Gil attention always end in failure.
* FieryRedhead: Susan tends to be more irritable than Mary is, which often leads to her downfall.
%%* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Susan.
%%* LabcoatOfScienceAndMedicine: And they wear them ''everywhere''.
%%* LethalChef
* LoveMakesYouCrazy: Their attempts to get Gil to notice them always backfires or screws up. Not to mention fighting one another over who will marry Gil, ending up with them becoming a couple of messes, which derives Gil's attention to Johnny.
%%* MadScientist: On their worse days.
* MagicSkirt: No matter what she does, Susan's skirt doesn't seem to ever move. Not even if she's sliding, falling, or doing cartwheels.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: They end up causing the disaster-of-the-week as often as Johnny, and more often than not end up needing Johnny's help to fix it.
* OurVampiresAreDifferent: When the twins turn themselves into vampires in "Fangs a Lot Johnny", they wear black gothic dresses, their eyes turn a cat-like green, and, in Mary's words, "Hip teen vampires glitter in the sun now". This counts as a TakeThat towards the Twilight Saga, as the episode was based on it.
* RedOniBlueOni: It's subtle but it's there. Susan is the red: more rational minded, always tries to see if there's logical explanation for everything and can be rather stubborn. Mary is the blue, willing to believe more in the unnatural and is usually the voice of reason between the pair. Ironically, Susan wears a blue shirt while Mary wears a yellow one. There's also a dash of TomboyAndGirlyGirl with their way of dress (Susan wearing a skirt and Mary Janes while Mary wears jeans and sneakers).
%%* SiblingTeam
%%* SignificantGreenEyedRedhead: Mary.
%%* SingleMindedTwins: Only when it comes to Gil.
* SingleTargetSexuality: They are only interested in Gil even though he's a DumbBlonde who clearly has no interest in them or even awareness that they exist, no matter how hard they try to get his attention. Zizrar at one point questions what do they even see in him.
* SmittenTeenageGirl: They both have a crush on Gil.
* StalkerWithACrush: To Gil. They pull off often very disturbing lengths to go out on a date with him.
* SweetTooth: One episode showed they have a stash of sugary junk food hidden in their lab.
* TeenGenius: 13-year-old brainiacs who have all the science smarts.
* ThemeTwinNaming: Averted because their names are Susan and Mary, which don't rhyme and are not thematic
* TwinThreesomeFantasy: Somewhat averted DependingOnTheWriter. Sometimes the twins are shown to be open at the idea of sharing Gil, but there are episodes when they fight each other to be the only girl he has eyes for. Marriage seems to be the touchiest point; [[ValuesDissonance dating and making out]] not so much.
%%* IWarnedYou: Fond of saying this on the right occasions.

[[folder:Hugh Test]]
!!Hubert "Hugh" Test
[[quoteright:339:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/image0_2_4.jpeg]]
[[caption-width-right:339:"Meatloaf!"]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/IanJamesCorlett

He is the patriarch of the Test household and the father of Johnny, Susan, and Mary Test. He is a stay at home dad who does all the housework and is known for declaring that his kids be home on time or else they are grounded. He obsessively loves to cook meatloaf for dinner, which the rest of the Test family hates.
----
* AbusiveParent: Several episodes have him stating what kind of punishment he plans to give Johnny, many of which are rather cruel for the smallest of reasons. Its generally PlayedForLaughs.
* DeadpanSnarker: Often shows shades of this on occasion.
* DependingOnTheWriter: Some episodes he can tend to be a strict but reasonable parent. But others tends to blur the line in how he parents Johnny and his punishments for his actions.
* FantasyForbiddingFather: There are many experiments and hi-jinks he forbids his children from doing. He nearly grounds them all after Johnny shows his parents that Dukey can talk in one episode (Hugh explicitly told them to never experiment on the dog). While they do warm up on Dukey, a jealous Johnny made them forget the whole thing.
* HonorBeforeReason: This combined with SkewedPriorities makes up most of his more unreasonable behavior. The best example is "Johnny Get Yer Gum" where he wants to ground Johnny for two weeks because he [[FelonyMisdemeanor chewed gum]] even though it was to [[ItMakesSenseInContext save kids from a deadly trap]].
* HouseHusband: He is literally a "house husband".
* JerkassHasAPoint: Sure he's stricter on Johnny than he is on Susan and Mary, but given the amount of havoc Johnny causes on a daily basis it's easy to see why he's so strict.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: For all his faults, and the fact he tends to punish Johnny quite severely, more than often a lot of his behavior is a case of CruelToBeKind. Plus, half the time his kids do tend to get in over their heads with their shenanigans.
* LargeHam: Courtesy of Ian James Corlett.
* LethalChef: By how much is by RuleOfFunny. He is capable of making good food, but he loves making meatloaves and somewhat treats it like an art form though that doesn't mean the meatloaf will be tasty (least to anyone but him). In one episode, he attempts to make healthy cookies and Johnny taste it. Johnny replies it tastes like dirt. [[AbusiveParents He then has Johnny eat dirt]] as a comparison. Johnny then apologizes... citing that ''dirt tastes [[InsultToRocks better.]]''
* LikeFatherLikeSon: As much as he would like to think it's his super genius daughters that take after him, it's Johnny that shares the most in common with his dad. Johnny is able to cook (he took home EC for an easy A), he inherited his dad's knack for cleaning (which translated into brush skills in curling) and as much as Hugh would hate to confess, Johnny's love of [[spoiler: video games]] comes from him.
* NeatFreak: Hugh is shown to hate germs a lot and likes the house to be extremely clean. One of the heroes he idolizes inspired him to be this. The theme song of this show even directly quotes him as this trope
* PapaWolf: Despite having effeminate hobbies, Hugh still maintains a solid iron grip on being the man of the house and does love his children.
* RealMenWearPink: Hugh is the man of the house and runs the Test household in a very strict manner but he likes to do chores that are typically that of a housewife's.
* SkewedPriorities:
** In "Johnny's Extreme Game Controller", he is more concerned about his meat loaf burning than Susan cutting her leg or a rabid Lolo attacking his daughters with a spoon, despite actually falling for their lies.
** In an episode where Johnny breaks his foot, Hugh is more concerned about the family's insurance premiums going up.
* TheScrooge: An interesting example of this despite not being the breadwinner of the family and lacking the usual reason a dad would have for this.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Meatloaf. Hugh rarely ever cooks anything ''but'' meatloaf, and will go to great lengths to not cook anything else but meatloaf. He clearly chooses to ignore the glaringly obvious fact that no one but him likes it, even when his family wretch with horror at the sight of it and Johnny openly states no one else likes it.
* YouAreGrounded: He threatens to ground his kids for life constantly even though in one episode, Susan and Mary state that he can't ground children when they are 18, which makes him change his threat to grounding them until they turn 18.

[[folder:Lila Test]]
!!Lila Test (née Little)
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/image1_5_5.jpeg]]
[[caption-width-right:200:Lila Test]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/KathleenBarr

She is the mother of Johnny, Susan, and Mary Test. She is a strict businesswoman who makes the money for the Test household. She, like the other Test family members openly despises Hugh's meatloaf obsession.
----
* ActionMom: If push comes to shove, she'll be willing to jump into the fray if she must.
* LethalChef: She is shown to have worse cooking skills than her husband.
* MamaBear: She wouldn't let anyone hurt her kids, that goes for Johnny, the Girls and Dukey.
* {{Workaholic}}: She is obsessed with her job. The theme song even describes her as a "super busy mom".

!Recurring characters

[[folder:Gil Nexdor]]
!!Gil Nexdor
->'''Voiced by:''' Andrew Francis
A pleasant local boy who's friends with Johnny. He's the romantic target of both Susan and Mary, though he can never seem to remember their names.
----
* AmbiguouslyBi: Shown to clearly crush on girls, but seems oddly fixated on Johnny over his twin sisters. He's even infatuated with Speed [=McCool=], so much he agrees to a picnic with him.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: When Gil's life is threatened by the boy robots created by Susan and Mary, the Test siblings put him in a metal box, and once he's out, he takes back Susan and Mary's invitation to his pool party.
* BrainlessBeauty: The boys head is hollow as a coconut, despite his preference for wearing a helmet (a.k.a. Brain Bucket) when he goes skiing.
* CatchPhrase: "Hey, Johnny!", or "Tell Johnny I said hi!" whenever Johnny's not around.
* TheDitz: He's not very bright as he often forgets people such as Susan and Mary. Its revealed that he acts this way because Susan and Mary have frequently erased his memory, damaging his brain in the process.
* DumbBlonde: Even more than Johnny. Implied to have once possessed at least average intelligence; repeated memory wipes by Susan and Mary to cover their bungled attempts to woo him, have left Gil with severe brain damage, to the point he can't even write his own name.
* LaserGuidedAmnesia: A rare naturally occurring case. He pretty much never remembers Susan and Mary's names even though he knows their younger brother. Later, it was explained that the twins always wipe Gil's mind after their botched attempts to woo him.
* MeaningfulName: It's a play on "Girl Next Door", because he is the object of affection for people who live next door to him; and gender-flipped for added up-to-dateness.
* NiceGuy: Stupidity aside, Gil seems like an overall decent guy who likes hanging out with Johnny.
* ObliviousToLove: Like you wouldn't believe...
* PrehensileHair: As a member of the Johnny Saving Six.
* PrettyBoy: His looks constantly swoon Susan and Mary Test.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Upon being released from the metal box after the defeat of the boy robots, his eyes glow red with rage.
* SatelliteLoveInterest: Most of his role in the show is being the object of Susan and Mary's affections and their trying to woo him. Other times involve hanging out with Johnny.
* SurferDude: Blonde, tanned, and frequently spouting surfer lingo like "Cha."
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Eugene "Bling-Bling Boy" Hamilton]]
!!Eugene "Bling-Bling Boy" Hamilton
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/LeeTockar
A rich kid who lives with his mother on a remote island. He is one of the main antagonists of the series yet is sometimes an anti hero. He is very rich and is obsessed with bling and shiny things as his nickname implies. His evil schemes are mostly attempts to flirt with Susan Test, who he has a one sided crush on.
----
* AbhorrentAdmirer: He loves Susan Test but she wants nothing to do with him due to his repulsive appearance and overbearing personality. In one episode, Eugene was given a formula that made him stop loving Susan. He started loving Mary instead (it only lasted that one episode).
* BigBadWannabe: He is close to being a main villain, but is outclassed by most of the other villains.
* BigEater: The episode "Lakeside Johnny" is the first time this trope is shown as Bling-Bling Boy effortlessly stuffs his face with bacon.
* BodyguardBabes: Initially had some red-haired female designed androids that acted as his enforcers and they appeared infrequently through the first two seasons before they were never seen again for the rest of the series.
* CasanovaWannabe: Try as he might, the kid ain't a ladies man.
* CatchPhrase: "SUSAN TEST! GO ON A DATE WITH ME!"
* CutLexLuthorACheck: Is just as guilty of this as Susan and Mary, with most of the stuff he makes being geared towards futilely trying to get Susan to fall in love with him. His assistants are very understandably frustrated with him about it.
* DisappearedDad: Never been seen or mentioned once, which suggests that his mother is either divorced or a widow.
* DitzyGenius: His obsession with Susan and reliance on hired scientists can make you forget he's as much a super-genius as Susan and Mary.
%%* DreadfulMusician: Big time.
%%* EvilCounterpart: To Mary and Susan
%%* FatBastard: On his worse days.
* FriendlyEnemy: Even though he and Johnny are enemies, Bling-Bling actually admits that he enjoys their little scuffles. When the super-villains capture Johnny, he admits Johnny is the only one who can stand his temper tantrums and goes to rescue him.
%%* HamToHamCombat: With Johnny, usually.
%%* HeelFaceTurn: Whenever Susan is in danger. Later became more permanent in later seasons after more dangerous villains appeared.
* InsistentTerminology: He hates being called by his real name, Eugene.
** As of now, he doesn't even bother correcting people anymore, suggesting he's [[CharacterDevelopment accepted that no one will ever call him Bling-Bling Boy]].
* IslandBase: The aptly named Bling-Bling Island which he operates out of. It's implied it's his mothers though.
* LargeHam: He tends to shout a lot and tries to act grandiose when he can.
%%* MadScientist
* MurderTheHypotenuse: Bling-Bling plotted to get rid of Gil so Susan would focus her attention on Bling-Bling Boy.
* NotSoHarmlessVillain: While his attacks normally revolve around getting Susan to be his girlfriend, when he snaps on occasion, he is extremely dangerous. Never underestimate a genius with infinite funds and a huge army at his disposal.
* OnlyFriend: Johnny may be his ArchEnemy, but he also doubles as Eugene's only friend. As it's pointed out above, Johnny is the only person who can stand him.
* PrefersProperNames: Bling-Bling has a tendency to sometimes call Johnny "Johnathan." A few other characters do it rarely throughout the series, but the former does it the most often.
* StalkerWithACrush: Has a huge crush on Susan.
* VillainDecay: As the seasons went on, Eugene became less and less evil until he became the TokenEvilTeammate.

[[folder:Sissy Blakley]]
!!Elisabeth Olivia "Sissy" Blakley
->'''Voiced by:''' Brittney Wilson (seasons 1 and 5); Creator/AshleighBall (seasons 2-4, 6)

The next door neighbor of Johnny Test. She is a stubborn and gruff girl who has a love-hate relationship with Johnny. She owns a dog named Missy (later named Poochy), who Dukey has a crush on.
----
%%* ActionGirl
* BelligerentSexualTension: With Johnny. They are often rivals towards each other yet still show that they do admire each other.
* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: Rarely shows up in later seasons. She's outright missing in the reboot.
* DistaffCounterpart: Her design and attitude is essentially a female Johnny, though she's presented as more mature.
* {{Expy}}: Of [[ComicStrip/CalvinAndHobbes Susie Derkins]].
%%* HartmanHips
* LightningFireJuxtaposition: With Johnny, which serves to emphasize Sissy as a DistaffCounterpart to him. Whereas Johnny possesses hair shaped like flames, Sissy's hair features a distinctive zigzag shape resembling a lightning bolt.
* ShipTease: With Johnny, with it repeatedly made clear the two do have feelings for each other.
* {{Tsundere}}: Sissy tends to hide her crush very well through bullying Johnny and asserting superiority over him.

He is Johnny Test's bully from school. He likes bullying Johnny a lot, making Johnny use his sister's experiments to try to stand up to him.
----
* TheBully: He is basically a stereotypical bully.
* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: He's mostly prominent in the early seasons, and shows up less and less in later ones.
* HiddenDepths: [[spoiler: Apparently likes caring for roses.]]
* RealMenWearPink: Despite being a huge bully, he likes to take care of roses.
* TakenForGranite: His power as a member of the Johnny Saving Six.
* WouldHitAGirl: In the episode "Johnny Fu", he hits girls without a second thought.

* DemotedToExtra: She was only seen for the past few episodes in Season 1 before she was demoted to a background character in later episodes.
* LovableAlphaBitch: She's shallow, mean, and stuck up, but still adored by everyone.
* ShipTease: With Johnny, she was his main love interest for most of the first season before she was replaced by Sissy and demoted to a background character in season 2 onwards.

[[folder:Mr. Black and Mr. White]]
!!Mr. Black and Mr. White
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/BillMondy (Mr. Black), Creator/ScottMcNeil (Mr. White, seasons 1-6), Creator/DevenMack (Mr. White, revival series)

They are two bumbling and washed up federal agents who are often seen together. They first appeared as villains in the second episode of the first season but have lost their edge and have become friends with the Test family. They are very incompetent at their job and rely on the Test family to get them out of any messes that they themselves caused. Their ultimate dream is to have a vacation in Fiji together.
----
* AmbiguouslyHuman: Mr. Black and Mr. White are suggested in their first appearance that they are not humans, despite looking such. This is because they were able to shoot webs out of their wrists in their first appearance, which heavily implies them to be mutants of some sort. They even try to cover up their powers from the public. This is weird because they have never used their web slinging power in all their future appearances after their début.
* CatchPhrase: What's their favorite vacation spot? "We are going to Fiji! We are going to Fiji!"
* CoolShades: They are never seen without their sunglasses on.
* CrossDresser: Mr. Black and Mr. White once cross dressed as Susan and Mary Test for a Halloween Party but Susan and Mary dressed up as them
* {{Expy}}: They are similar to and are parodies of [[Film/MenInBlack Agent J and Agent K]].
* HeterosexualLifePartners: Although the "Heterosexual" part [[HoYay drops dangerously low at times.]]
* IronicName: Despite their names, Mr. Black is the white agent and Mr. White is the black agent. It should be the other way around.
* ManChild: Both Mr. Black and Mr. White as they are both federal agents who appear to be in their early 30's yet the rely too much on the Test family to help them and are shown to be very irresponsible, Mr. Black in particular cries a lot like a baby in some episodes.
* TheMenInBlack: Kinda. They don't exactly do much good when they even appear. Usually they end up coming to Johnny, Dukey, Susan, and Mary for help.
* RealMenWearPink: They are both federal agents who look intimidating through their agent outfits and shades but they both love cooking and admitted that they once worked as salesmen who sold perfume.
* ShoutOut: [[Film/MenInBlack You could probably guess this one from two miles away.]]
* SweetTooth: Mr. Black as in one episode, his stomach shown to be digesting a lot of junk food.
* ThemeTwinNaming: They are not brothers and they are not twins. Their first names are unknown and their last names don't rhyme but their last names are directly named after the colors of black and white.
* ThoseTwoGuys: They are sometimes seen in episodes that don't involve them doing any missions as they try to protect a hotel under thereat of demolition because they appreciated its architecture and they also showed up at a Halloween party.

!!The General
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/LeeTockar

He is Mr. Black and Mr. White's boss and is the one in charge of maintaining national security in the areas around Porkbelly city. However, he can be sometimes bumbling.
----
* CoolShades: He frequently wears sunglasses in his screen time. He is seen taking them off once.
* GeneralRipper: His obsession for war has earned him this title well enough.
** One example in "Johnny Meets the Pork-Ness Monster", he sunders a whole Platoon of Rocket Artillery Trucks and a couple Squadrons of Attack Helicopters, just for them to pull off a fireworks show over Lake Pork Ness.

* CardCarryingVillain: He is well aware he was evil, though sometimes wishes he wasn't.
%%* DickDastardlyStopsToCheat
* ElementalHairComposition: {{Invoked|Trope}}. After turning to villainy, Brain Freezer shoots himself with a blast of his own ice cannon, turning his skin blue and freezing his hair into a mess of icicles.
* HeelFaceTurn: Brain Freezer seems to have dropped his evil ways since taking a level in handsomeness. In his next appearance, though, he was back to being evil in one of the most egregious examples of StatusQuoIsGod.
%%* LargeHam
%%* MadScientist
* PungeonMaster: Enjoys making bad cold-related puns.
* ShoutOut: An Ice themed Villain who makes the worst kind of ice related puns? [[Film/BatmanAndRobin Where have we heard that before?]]
* TrademarkFavoriteDrink: He loves iced coffee.
* YouNeedToGetLaid: A recent episode shows that after acquiring good looks and a new coffee shop, he is much less interested in taking over the world and revenge.

[[folder:Doc Beebles]]
!!'''Doc Beebles/The Beekeeper'''
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/JamesArnoldTaylor
He is one of the villains that Johnny Test has to deal with. He is obsessed with bees and beekeeping and has the tendency to exaggerate words like "be" by putting references to bees in it. Unlike other villains of the show, Doc Beebles did not want to cause harm to the world and its citizens as his only desire was for kids to eat healthier and exercise more, but he often go to highly extreme and unorthodox methods on order to achieve this goal.
----
* AntiVillain: He does not desire world conquest or total annihilation. He only became a villain with good intentions as he just wanted kids to eat healthy and live long lives.
* BeeBeeGun: The Beekeeper has set himself as the artificial queen of his swarms of bees and is able to command them to carry out tasks life theft and attack.
* EvilSoundsDeep: Via his bee suit when he has the helmet on.
* HeelFaceTurn: His only goal was just getting kids to eat healthier via his granola bars which Johnny eventually admitted didn't taste so bad. When Johnny attempt to do a improptu candy-giving holiday during the summer season failed for various reasons ( lack of a good mascot, being sued by the Easter Bunny etc), Beebles had the resources to do the holiday without any of the flaws (has a recognizable name, bees that could help him give away free granola bars and get kids to eat healthier in the bargain). Once he was able to achieve that, he no longer had a grudge against the Test siblings. And as a result, beyond a single mention in the third season finale, he [[ChuckCunninghamSyndrome never appeared again]].
%%* LargeHam
* VerbalTic: Puts an emphasis on any instance of "be" that comes up when he talks.
* WellIntentionedExtremist: In his first appearance, one of his main motives was to get kids to start eating healthier by stealing all of the sweets in town. What he doesn't seem to realize is that not only is he hurting the candy industry, his use of presumably genetically-modified bees makes him an eco-terrorist.

[[folder:Dark Vegan]]
!!Dark Vegan
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/JamesArnoldTaylor

An alien from a planet called Vegandon whose species are vegetarians. He was initially the planet's ruler who destroyed other planets to sustain his own until Johnny Test came along and caused him to be marooned on Earth. Since then, he has been obsessed with destroying Johnny but always fails to do so. He also has an unhealthy obsession with eating toast.
----
* AliensLoveHumanFood: After he was stranded on Earth, he developped a love for toast to the point where he chose to stay on the planet since they don't have toast on Vegandon.
* AliensSpeakingEnglish: He and his species speak the same language as Johnny.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: His one main redeeming trait is that he does genuinely care about his wife and daughter.
%%* FourEyesZeroSoul
* HumanAliens: He and his species, the Vegans, bear a striking resemblance to the humans on Earth. The only difference is that they are all vegetarians.
* JediMindTrick: Since he’s a parody of Darth Vader, he can use a Vegan Mind Wipe to make someone highly suggestible. The only catch is that it only works on dumb people. Notable victims are Hugh Test and [[BrainlessBeauty Gil]].
%%* LargeHam
* LaserBlade: What do you expect? He's a parody of [[Franchise/StarWars Darth Vader]] or maybe [[Film/{{Spaceballs}} Dark Helmet]].
* PlanetLooters: He kept Vegandon pristine by stealing the natural resources of other planets, leaving them to become lifeless deserts. After meeting Johnny and Dukey, he sets his sights on Earth as his next target.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: TOAST! (Note that he only learns about toast later in the series.)
* VillainDecay: Justified as the result of living on Earth, as he can't replace his weapons which are from his own planet.
* WellIntentionedExtremist: In his original appearance, he only destroys other planets to sustain his own planet (though apparently, this isn't really needed). After that, he's more in it for revenge.

!!Mr. Whack-O
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/LeeTockar

He is a selfish and greedy executive of a toy company who constantly disregards the happiness and well-being of children.
----
%%* ChildHater: See below.
* CorruptCorporateExecutive: He's the head of a toy company named after him, but devotes all his time to finding ways to get rid of kids.
* CutLexLuthorACheck: Averted, sorta. His board of directors asked him if they'd go out of business if his plan succeeded. Turns out he'd already thought of that and programmed his robots to offer to 'babysit' the kids for free to keep their parents happy. Still, he's a brilliant enough man that his smarts could be better spent elsewhere.
* DevilInPlainSight: His company is still afloat despite him being obviously psychotic and his company producing extremely dangerous toys with the intent to maim or 'get rid of' kids. Handwaved in that his legal team is apparently extremely good.
* DisproportionateRetribution: He built an army of extremely powerful robots to imprison kids in their own houses just for annoying him.
* LegionOfDoom: He's the leader and founder of the 'Johnny Stopping Evil Force Five'.
%% * WouldHurtAChild: His entire character is this.

[[folder:King Zizrar]]
!!Zizrar, The Mole King
He is the ruler of the mole people and lives underneath the Earth's crust. He desires to invade and conquer Earth but is often prevented from doing so because the eyes of his species are very sensitive to sunlight.
----
* AmbiguouslyGay: Zizrar and his entire race are all male and most of his minions wear biker leather. Also, Zizrar is flamboyant and is dressed up like a CampGay. The only thing putting him in the ambiguous category is that he never flirted with anyone.
* BlindedByTheLight: Zizrar's eyes, like those of his entire species, are very sensitive to light as any kind of light temporarily blinds him. Some examples include sunlight and lights from a flashing camera as Johnny used the latter to defeat Zizrar in their first encounter.
* ButtMonkey: In the snow day episode, Zizrar gets unintentionally beaten up by Johnny an some other people as his eyes got blinded by sunlight and he gets run over by snowboarders.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: DependingOnTheWriter. While some of his ploys would logically cause lots of harm, in at least one instance - where he plans to cave in a library to deprive humans of knowledge and make them stupid & easily beaten - he insists on telling said humans about his plan ahead of time to make sure nobody is inside the building when he destroys it.
-->'''Zizrar''': I want to make the humans stupid, but I don't wanna ''hurt'' anybody! We're mole people, not monsters.
* SissyVillain: He is the first villain of the series but his flamboyance and campy attitude are what make him fit as one.
* StarterVillain: As seen with SissyVillain above, Zizrar is the show's first villain.
