! Josuke Higashikata (Stand: Crazy Diamond)
[[caption-width-right:250:Click [[labelnote:here]]http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/josuke_higashikata.png[[/labelnote]] to see Josuke as he appears in the anime]]
->Voiced by: Creator/YukiOno (TV anime), Creator/WataruHatano (''All-Star Battle'' and ''Eyes of Heaven'')
->Played by: Kento Yamazaki (live-action film)

The illegitimate son of Joseph Joestar. Josuke is known for his unique hairstyle and fierce temper regarding said hair. His adventures started when Jotaro tracked him down and informed him that he was Joseph's son and warned him about the deadly Stand user Angelo, who killed his grandfather shortly after the start of the story. Following that, he is pulled into the search for the serial killer that threatens Morioh-cho.

His Stand is Crazy Diamond, which allows Josuke to repair objects as he sees fit. This can be applied in several ways, including healing wounds, breaking two objects and combining them into one, and reducing something to its original components.

Note that going with the ThemeNaming of [=JoJo=], the second kanji in his first name, can also be read as "jo," as well as that his proper name would be Josuke Joestar.

His stand is named after the Music/PinkFloyd composition [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8UXircX3VdM "Shine on you Crazy Diamond."]]
* {{Adorkable}}: Much like his father in his younger days, [[http://www.batoto.net/read/_/148147/jojos-bizarre-adventure-part-4-diamond-is-unbreakable_v41_ch388_by_the-invincible-trio/4 he's a big dork]].
* AndIMustScream: Josuke doesn't kill his opponents, but what he does to enemies he ''doesn't'' befriend is often far worse than death.
* AnimeHair: His epic pompadour. Whenever its insulted in the manga, it spikes upwards, but in the anime, not so much.
* ApologizesALot: Part of his EstablishingCharacterMoment involves apologizing for how he's dressed to a bunch of thugs, and then he apologizes for how his presence in the Joestar family (and the affair that resulted in his existing) has caused a lot of uproar in the family.
* BadassBaritone: He has a rather deep voice in ''All-Star Battle''.
* BadassFamily: With his "nephew" Jotaro and his father Joseph.
* BashBrothers: With Koichi and Okuyasu.
* BerserkButton: Never make fun of his hair, unless you want your face to literally be rearranged.
** TheBerserker: This gets to the point of Josuke being driven literally ''blind with rage'', preventing Heaven's Door from affecting him.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: He will not, under any circumstance, kill you. But he will hurt you ''a lot'' if you piss him off.
* ButNotTooForeign: Half-Japanese, half-British.
* {{Catchphrase}}: Has a tendency to say 'GREAT'. Also, [[LikeFatherLikeSon just like his dad]], he says so in [[GratuitousEnglish Engrish]].
* CelibateHero: He does not flirt relentlessly and is not perverted like Joseph, but when the girls near him express interest in him, he is flattered and was shown in the first episode to get along quite well with his female classmates and admirers. While he does express interest in women, it is not his main priority.
* ChickMagnet: He is very popular with the girls.
* ContrastingSequelMainCharacter: Even more prominent when you actually have the protagonist of the last part in the new one as well. From their first meeting alone, Josuke is a visibly far more relaxed and friendlier individual than Jotaro ever will be. As a result, Josuke [[DefeatMeansFriendship befriends]] and gets along with people that Jotaro never could, like people with rotten personalities and his own silly mother. Josuke is also flightier and more prone to getting involved in silly antics and convoluted schemes than his StraightMan nephew. On the other hand...
** NotSoDifferent: Josuke also has a ''lot'' of the traits that Jotaro had when he was a delinquent himself; Same attachment to their favorite head ornaments ([[DelinquentHair hair]] and [[NiceHat hat]] respectively), same disregard for rules that inconvenience them, same lack of father figure in their lives, same intense sense of justice and loyalty to their friends, and same explosive attitude. This also extends to Josuke and his father Joseph, despite Josuke's initial hangups. Both of them are the goofiest and most personable Joestars to date.
* CombatMedic: His Stand, Crazy Diamond, is almost on par with Jotaro's Star Platinum when it comes to melee combat; it's also one of the rare instances where the healing power itself doubles as an offensive measure.
** When Josuke faces Yuuya Fungami, a bed-ridden villain, he pathetically beg "you wouldn't bully a weak and helpless cripple now, would you?". So, Josuke ''healed him back to pristine health'' with Crazy Diamond and THEN:
--> '''Josuke''': [[HarmfulHealing The way I see it, if I make you well again,]] [[InsaneTrollLogic and]] [[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown [=THEN=] kick your ass, I won't be "bullying the weak" then,]] '''''[[ToThePain now will I?]]''''' [[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown DORA!! Dorararararararararara! DORAAAAA!!!]]
* CustomUniform: He is seen always with his school uniforms customized with Bling symbols.
* DefeatMeansFriendship: To a ridiculous extent. Almost everyone he faces ends up becoming his ally.
* DubNameChange: The English release of ''All Star Battle'' renames his Stand to "Shining Diamond" to avoid copyright problems with Music/PinkFloyd (The reference is still there but more subtle).
* EstablishingCharacterMoment
** His first example of his BewareTheNiceOnes personality comes after a bunch of seniors give him shit over how he's dressed, for which he immediately apologizes. However, after one of them [[BerserkButton talks shit about his hair]] and [[KickTheDog gravely injures an innocent turtle]], he proceeds to let Crazy Diamond ''literally'' rearrange his face (specifically, his nose) before healing the turtle and carrying it back to its pond (and given that he's [[WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes really afraid of turtles]], this took some gumption on his part).
** His first real character moment that shows his HonorBeforeReason comes when he vehemently apologizes to Jotaro for how his presence in the Joestar family tree (and the affair that caused it) has thrown the family into disarray, and he refutes Jotaro's offer of one third of Joseph's inheritance money on the grounds that he and his mom are doing just fine without it.
** Also, the moment when he helps an old, senile Joseph walk, rather than, as Okuyasu suggests, and as the audience was likely expecting him to, fix Joseph's cane with Crazy Diamond.
* FaceOfAThug: Before Araki changed his art style to look less like ''Manga/FistOfTheNorthStar'' he looks very big, scary and menacing, especially in his debut arc. Koichi was very scared of him before they became friends. This doesn't reflect his ([[BewareTheNiceOnes normally]]) goofy and friendly personality though.
* FightingSpirit[=/=]WeirdnessMagnet: Crazy Diamond.
* TheGamblingAddict: Ask the pachinko owner. He also demonstrates this when trying to get extra money for the summer from Rohan.
* GenreBlind: Joseph tells Josuke that a Stand is suddenly turning the immediate area around a baby they found invisible. Josuke assumes he's senile. However, this is the only time Josuke acts this way, and only because he was under the, mostly correct, impression that Joseph was senile.
* GoodThingYouCanHeal: Crazy Diamond is capable of restoring almost anything, including living beings, to their original state. This eventually gets used for healing some [[MadeOfPlasticine seriously messy injuries]]. However...
** NoSelfBuffs: ...to prevent him from becoming NighInvulnerable, Josuke is incapable of using Crazy Diamond's healing powers on himself.
* HeartIsAnAwesomePower: In terms of secondary abilities among stands, Crazy Diamond's healing is seemingly one of the weakest of any main protagonist, especially given the significant limitations placed on it. However, Josuke is able to make extensive and creative use of Crazy Diamond, turning it into one of the strongest abilities in the series.
* HeroicBastard: Joseph's illegitimate son. Joseph was sixty-five at the time, meaning Josuke is actually ''younger'' than his nephew, Jotaro.
* HonorBeforeReason: Good heart be blamed, as he took this trait to absurd levels! And it backfired on him on several occasions, [[spoiler:but his positive LaserGuidedKarma always triggered during those moments.]]
* InSeriesNickname: [=JoJo=], though as is the case with every protagonist after Part 2, it isn't used much.
* JapaneseDelinquents: Subverted. He looks like one thanks to his [[SchoolUniformsAreTheNewBlack perpetual uniform]] and his characteristic pompadour, but personality-wise is mostly the opposite [[BerserkButton provided said pompadour is not even remotely insulted]].
** Taken UpToEleven in ''All Star Battle'', where Crazy Diamond's VA sounds like he is outright ''screaming'' into the microphone.
* LeftTheBackgroundMusicOn: The anime's ED has him lip-synching and posing along to Savage Garden.
* MadeOfPlasticine: JJBA is an extravagantly gory manga, and this is the norm for it, but Josuke deserves special mention for having this trope as his explicit superpower - right the way up to ''resculpting'' the plasticine.
* NiceGuy: He ''is'' one of the nicer [=JoJos=] in the series. Josuke's primary trait is his overall kindness, reflected in his Stand which repairs and heals. Upon meeting someone in not particularly antagonistic circumstances, Josuke will generally be polite and friendly.
* OddNameOut: The "[=JoJo=]" ThemeNaming isn't as obvious in Josuke's name as it is in the others.
* PerpetualPoverty: Due to a mixture of reckless spending on frivolous luxuries and his mother taking away access to whatever large quantities of money he comes across to prevent said reckless spending, Josuke is less poor and more barred from spending as much cash as he'd like. Even Araki commented on how it's kind of inappropriate for a teenager to have access to over a million yen.
* PersonalityPowers: As Jotaro discovered, the nature of Josuke's stand is a reflection of his good heart and desire to help those around him.
-->'''Jotaro:''' ''Humans thrive on the destruction of others. But among them, there's you, and your power is the kindest, most generous ability one could ever have.''
* PopCulturalOsmosisFailure: Josuke doesn't get any reference to pop-culture apart from the most famous one like Mickey, but Superman is beyond his knowledge.
* PowerIncontinence: If Josuke is distracted or angry, things tend to look really weird when he repairs them.
* RedOniBlueOni: Blue to Okuyasu's Red.
* SpannerInTheWorks: [[spoiler: Of sorts. While Kira manages to kill him and the rest of the group with Bites The Dust, Josuke manages to avoid it in the next time loop, and thus save the others just by oversleeping and not getting to Kira's house on-time (though Hayato calling him so that he shows up before the GroundhogDayLoop kicks in plays a part as well.)]]
* StrongFamilyResemblance: Resembles Jotaro and Joseph.
* SwissArmySuperpower: His ingenuity allows him to use his power to repair (and rearrange) things in plenty of creative ways.
** The most triumphant example of this is in his fight against Highway Star. He can't slow down the motorcycle he's riding, or Highway Star will catch up to him, but there's a baby carriage in the way. So what does he do? [[spoiler:Crazy Diamond breaks the motorcycle, Josuke ''flies through the air'', and Crazy Diamond ''reassembles the bike'' before he hits the ground]].
** Overlaps with a significant amount of LoopholeAbuse; Josuke often gets around Crazy Diamond's short physical range with creative long range attacks. [[spoiler: During the finale, he's even able to use his own dried blood on shards of glass as homing projectiles]].
* SymbolMotifClothing: Hearts and Peace symbols.
* ThouShallNotKill: Notable for being one of the only [=JoJo=] [[spoiler:of the original timeline]] who doesn't kill a single person (except some Stand-using rats). He even went to great lengths to save the life of some of his foes.
** However, he does inflict many a FateWorseThanDeath on the more evil foes, multiple times going into AndIMustScream territory.
* [[WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes Why Did It Have To Be Turtles?]]: Averted. He is first seen confronting his fear by trying to touch a turtle; this is the only time he ever encounters one, it poses no obstacle to him whatsoever, and he even heals it after its shell gets shattered by some local thugs. Not that this stops him from getting spooked again by it shortly afterwards.
* [[YouKilledMyFather You Killed My Grandfather]]: He eventually gets to punish Angelo for what he did.
* YoureNotMyFather: He was initially cold and indifferent to Joseph's attempts to be a father to him, and angrily tells the old man to not even bother trying after being absent all his life. In Joseph's defence, he was never told about the boy's existence; and when Josuke saw just ''how'' sincere he was about wanting to be a loving and strong father-figure, he finally comes to respect and love him in return.
* YourSizeMayVary: Given the ArtEvolution away from giant musclebound men that occurred during part 4, it's very easy to forget that Josuke is supposed to be almost as big as Jotaro. By the end of his time in the manga, he's drawn roughly the same size as Giorno, while the anime and games consistently depict him as somewhere in between.
* ZanyScheme: He managed to pull a couple of ingenious and successful money-making ploys... [[HilarityEnsues but not without incidents.]]

! Jotaro Kujo (Stand: Star Platinum: The World)

See [[Characters/JoJosBizarreAdventurePart3 part 3]]

! Koichi Hirose (Stand: Echoes)
->Voiced by: Creator/YuukiKaji (TV anime), Creator/RomiPark (''All-Star Battle'' and ''Eyes of Heaven''), Creator/RioNatsuki (''Vento Aureo'' video game)
->Played by: Ryunosuke Kamiki (live-action movie)

A schoolmate of Josuke's. He led a perfectly normal, boring life until he was pierced by the Stand Arrow. While he was too weak for it to work and was fatally wounded, Josuke healed him with Crazy Diamond, allowing him to eventually use the Stand granted to him by the Arrow.

Koichi uses a sound-based Stand named Echoes which comes in several "Acts", each with a different power set. He can only use one version of Echoes at a time.

Echoes is named after a PinkFloyd song of the same name.

* AdaptationDyeJob: In the manga he is blonde, in ''[[VideoGame/JoJosBizarreAdventureAllStarBattle All Star-Battle]]'' his hair is light-blue, and in the anime it's grey.
* AmazonChaser: Koichi ultimately falls in love with Yukako due to her forceful personality.
* AnimeHair: Starts off with long slicked back hair, then cuts his hair into a flat top to get rid of Yukako's hair. Whenever he gets excited, angry or determined, his hair forms pointed clumps and stands up like a [[Manga/DragonBall Super Saiyan]].
* BadassAdorable: He's cute and rather short for his age, but you still don't want to mess with him.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: Much like Josuke, Koichi is nice up to a point. But mess with his friends or family, and he will ''ensure'' that you regret ever doing it. The change from "nice to badass" is more pronounced than Josuke, however, in that Koichi's normally soft features become much harsher-edged (and he grows a [[{{Manga/DragonBall}} Super Saiyan-like]] aura) when he's pissed.
* CharacterDevelopment: He starts off as a weak and shy youth, but as the series progresses, he began to be more confident and even gained the respect of Jotaro Kujo. Even his Stand symbolizes his change.
* CovertPervert: Cares very much for Reimi because of the murder mystery but can't help but blush when Rohan talks about her breasts and sex life.
* CowardlyLion: Heaven's Door describes him as cowardly but courageous when push come to shove.
* DeathGlare: The first indication of when he is going to get serious.
* DefiantToTheEnd[=/=]TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: A non lethal example. He was ready to die and clearly said to [[spoiler:Kira]] that he sucked:
--> ''"Your stupidity has exposed you! I will wait for you in the other world!"''
* DubNameChange: As with Crazy Diamond becoming Shining Diamond, Echoes became [[PunnyName Reverb]] in the videogames and crunchyroll subtitles order to keep Pink Floyd from suing.
* EvolutionPowerUp[=/=]MultiformBalance: Echoes has three forms. Each successive form has more powerful combat abilities, but drastically reduced movement range compared to the previous form.
** Act 1 can plant a written sound on something, which will repeat and increase in volume; it remains relevant despite Acts 2 and 3 due to its excellent movement range making it a useful scout.
** Act 2 can also plant written sounds, but these will instead ''become real''; for example, if it plants the sound "whoosh", a strong gust of wind will appear; if it plants "cracklecrackle", flames will appear; etc.
** Act 3 has Act 2's sound powers along with the ability to generate a gravity well under anything it punches. It's the strongest form.
* ExpositoryHairstyleChange: His hair follow his CharacterDevelopment. During his confrontation with Tamami, it gains the tendency to rise into spikes when he is excited. Towards the end of his confrontation with Yukako he suddenly cuts his hair, producing a flat-top, which spontaneously grows out again into spikes during his battle with Yoshikage Kira.
* {{Expy}}:
** Shares the same name and a similar appearance and personality to a character from Araki's first serialized manga series, ''Magic Boy B.T.''
** He is also an expy of Gohan from ''Manga/DragonBall'', especially when his hair becomes spiky when he is excited.
* FightingSpirit[=/=]WeirdnessMagnet
* HeartIsAnAwesomePower: Echoes' power to attach a sound to a person may be easy to dismiss in a fight, but in its first appearance ever, it defeated a villain by driving him nearly insane from [[BrownNote extremely loud, painful sounds ripping into his ears constantly]]. This is rendered irrelevant later when Echoes Act 2 and 3 gain much more useful abilities.
* HowDoIShotWeb: Unlike other characters, Koichi visibly struggles early on with learning how to summon or control his Stand, because he would have been one of the people that doesn't survive the Arrow, yet being healed by Josuke allowed him to cheat death and get a Stand when he normally wouldn't be capable of getting it.
* MagneticHero: Several characters praise Koichi's virtuousness and state their pride at his friendship, including Josuke Higashikata, Rohan Kishibe and Jotaro Kujo. Others tentatively brought from deficit into moral equilibrium by his influence include Toshikazu Hazamada, Tamami Kobayashi, and Yukako Yamagishi; [[spoiler:his eventual girlfriend]].
* MrFanservice: For the audience and the actual characters in the show. [[spoiler: He's the only one to get a girlfriend at the end of Part 4]] and is the first one [[ShirtlessScene to be shown only in his boxers]]. It's also shown that's he's quite buff despite his size.
* NiceGuy: He expresses love for his family, holds his friends in esteem, and tends to presume innocence on the part of strangers. Rohan's stand "Heaven's Door" exposes Koichi as honest and courageous.
* NoGuyWantsToBeChased: Koichi clearly finds Yukako an attractive woman, but is terrified of her {{Yandere}} and ClingyJealousGirl traits. [[spoiler: Once she dials it down a notch, he starts to return her feelings]].
* OddFriendship: With Rohan. While Koichi is often perturbed by Rohan's near-obsessive behavior over him, he also has attempted to help Rohan in return.
* OfficialCouple: He ends up being [[spoiler:Yukako]]'s boyfriend.
* OlderThanTheyLook: He starts out at 16 years old, but one could easily mistake him for an elementary schooler due to his short height.
* OrdinaryHighSchoolStudent
* [[SensitiveGuyAndManlyMan Sensitive Guy]]: To Josuke and Okuyasu's Manly Men.
* ShamelessFanserviceGuy: Downplayed example. He doesn't mind being [[WalkingShirtlessScene half naked]] around his family but he usually keeps his clothes on.
* ShirtlessScene: Gets one in Episode 14 around the end. [[MrFanservice He's the only one to get this treatment]].
* ShoutOut: Echoes Act 1 and 2 bears similarities to the ''Manga/DragonBall'' villain Cell, in that both take three forms, with the first two forms having a long tail and the second and third having progressively more humanoid shapes. Act 3 may also be likened to the villain Frieza.
* SirSwearsALot: Echoes Act 3 is very foul-mouthed, even in the Japanese original.
* SupportingProtagonist: To Josuke. Koichi get more screentime in the story, almost as much as Josuke. He is the first new character that appear in Part 4 and his popularity got himself an appearance at the beginning of Part 5.
* TinyGuyHugeGirl: The tiny guy to Yukako's huge girl.
* TinySchoolboy: He's a first-year high school student like Josuke and Okuyasu, but he's a great deal shorter than his friends are.
* TookALevelInBadass: Several times, actually. The first time he did, his Stand was created, the other times his Stand leveled up with him.
* UnsoundEffect: Echoes's first ability.
* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: Has light blue hair in ''[[VideoGame/JoJosBizarreAdventureAllStarBattle All Star-Battle]]''.

! Okuyasu Nijimura (Stand: The Hand)
->Voiced by: Creator/WataruTakagi (TV anime, ''All-Star Battle'' and ''Eyes of Heaven'')
->Played by: Mackenyu (live-action movie)

Josuke's schoolmate. At first, he antagonizes Josuke at the behest of his elder brother, but the two later become friends. [[IdiotHero He's a bit slow on the uptake.]]

Okuyasu's stand is The Hand. When he swings his right hand, anything along the arc's path will vanish, and the resulting gap will close; for example, if Okuyasu erases the middle section of a sign, the two ends will join in the middle. Okuyasu commonly uses this ability to teleport by erasing the air in front of him and zooming in to replace it. Despite the incredible potential of this ability, Okuyasu is too stupid to consider its implications and is poor in a fight. [[BewareTheSillyOnes Well, most of the time.]]

Okuyasu stand, The Hand, is named after Music/TheBand.

* AdaptationalBadass: In the original manga, Josuke caused Okuyasu to get knocked out by his stand pretty much immediately after Okuyasu explained his stand. In the anime, he gets several hits in on Josuke before this happens.
* AvengingTheVillain: His determination to stop [[spoiler:Akira]] stems from his desire to avenge [[spoiler:his brother]], even though he acknowledges that he probably got what was coming to him.
* BashBrothers: He develop a strong brother-relathionship with Josuke.
* TheBigGuy: The Hand is essentially pure strength in Stand form.
* ButtMonkey: Like Polnareff and Narancia, he is usually the first person to get subjected to enemy Stands.
* ContrastingSequelMainCharacter: Both Okuyasu and Kakyoin were influenced by Dio (Okuyasu through his father, Kakyoin being directly brainwashed) to fight and later befriend their respective [=JoJo=], but whereas Kakyoin was reserved and intelligent, Okuyasu is a HotBlooded IdiotHero. They also both join the hero's side when their respective [=JoJo=] tells them, "I don't know why I saved your life." Kakyoin accepts this and doesn't press Jotaro for an elaboration, while Okukasu does, and gets the response, "Because you didn't have to die." Most notably, both of them [[spoiler:have their sides destroyed]] during the final battle, but [[spoiler:Okuyasu manages to survive the ordeal]]. The anime also adds a scene where Okuyasu comments on how hot Josuke's mom is, just like Kakyoin did with Holly.
* CustomUniform: Like Josuke, he is seen always with his school uniforms customized.
* DefeatMeansFriendship: Expect to see this a ''lot'' where Josuke is concerned.
* DumbMuscle: His catchphrase is even some version of "Shut up! I ain't that smart!"
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: Okuyasu's very first fight has Keicho reminding him how powerful his Stand is and that he better not screw up. Later in the fight, he showcases his Stand's ability to pull things towards him by doing it to Josuke...and accidentally pulling a nearby potted plant forward in the process, which hits him right in the head and knocks him out. Josuke then remarks that he'd be a lot more dangerous if he wasn't such an idiot.
* {{Expy}}: Shares a lot of similarities with [[Characters/JoJosBizarreAdventurePart3 Jean-Pierre Polnareff]]. Both are impulsive, a bit dim, and are usually the first guys to be affected by enemy Stands. But at the same time, they are determined, and more loyal to their TrueCompanions than anyone else.
* FaceOfAThug: After his defeat to Josuke he becomes goofier and more amiable, despite his looks.
* FacialMarkings: His face has an odd set of lines best described as )(, circling around his eyes and not quite touching.
* FightingSpirit[=/=]WeirdnessMagnet
* FoolishSiblingResponsibleSibling: The foolish to Keicho's responsible.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: With Josuke. They are almost always seen hanging out together.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: How he's initially defeated. Josuke doesn't even need to lay a finger on him, because he accidentally KO's himself with his own powers.
* HotBlooded
* IdiotHero: And well aware of it. Notice that he tends to attach himself to people who actually think before they act.
* TheLancer: Shares this with Koichi to Josuke.
* LethalJokeCharacter: The Hand ''erases from existence anything it swipes''. This would be one of the single most dangerous stands in the franchise if it was being used by... well, anyone smarter than Okuyasu.
** One of the most dramatic examples of the power of The Hand comes during [[spoiler: the final fight against Kira. After Kira loses the element of surprise, Okuyasu is able to completely NoSell Kira's air bombs.]]
** The Anime sound effect for The Hand erasing things is either the same as, or very similar to, ''The World's time stop.'' That probably says something about The Hand's power.
* LikesOlderWomen: Has stated that Josuke's mom and Shigechi's mom are hot.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: With two notable examples:
** First time when he defeat ''Red Hot Chili Pepper'', but it tricked by him in attack creating an hole near to an electric cable, so recharge the enemy that escape.
** Another occasion when, again tricked, release Kira's dad that had been trapped by Jotaro allowing him to escape with the Arrow.
* NotQuiteDead: In the final battle, Okuyasu comes back from [[spoiler:getting ''a large chunk of his abdomen blown to smithereens'']]. Just in time to save [[spoiler:Josuke, too!]]
* OutOfFocus: After the defeat of Akira, Okuyasu gets less screentime than Josuke, Koichi and even Rohan. He has never won a single fight alone and all his appearances are to support Josuke.
* PortalCut: Okuyasu personally believes that this is how The Hand's ability works, but claims that he has no idea ''where'' the portal leads.
* {{Power Palm|s}}: There's a reason his stand is called ''The Hand'', after all.
* RedOniBlueOni: Red to Josuke's Blue.
* SimplemindedWisdom: When Okuyasu has to determine which of two SWF workers is really Akira, his solution is to punch both of them because he doesn't have time to figure it out. Luckily for the real SWF worker, he gets it right on the first try.
** It takes Okuyasu a bit of prompting to warm up to the various dishes at Antonio's restaurant and how best to eat them (i.e. eating the cheese and tomatoes together, trusting the spiciness of the pasta to be a non-issue once eaten properly) but once he does he's describing his culinary experiences in a level of detail fit for a professional gourmand.
* YoungerThanTheyLook: Looks even less of a teenager than Josuke despite being the same age as him.
* YouWillNotEvadeMe: The Hand's power can be used to "erase" the space between himself and his opponent, allowing him to pull Josuke towards him whenever he tried to keep his distance.

! Rohan Kishibe (Stand: Heaven's Door)
->Voiced by: Creator/TakahiroSakurai (TV anime), Creator/HiroshiKamiya (''All-Star Battle'' and ''Eyes of Heaven'')

A mangaka noted for his incredible success at just 20 years old and his ''extremely'' eccentric personality. His stand is Heaven's Door, which makes anyone who sees his artwork (tracing his finger in the air is adequate) into an "open book" that he can freely read and write notes in. With these notes, he can alter people's personalities with phrases like "I cannot attack Rohan Kishibe" or "I speak fluent Italian"; even things like "I will fly backward 10 meters" will have an effect.
* AntiHero: Mostly a NominalHero since he tends to be rude, callous, and sociopathic. Though it should be noted that when the situation's dire enough, he's capable of sacrificing himself for others.
* AnimeHair: What the ''hell'' is that jagged bit on his head? A headband? Part of his scalp? It's never explained or even mentioned by anyone. His actual hair counts as well, resembling a paintbrush which is fitting due to his profession.
** Although, some translations count that jagged bit as a headband. Which is more and more likely considering how it changes color in the anime episodes.
* AuthorAvatar: Subverted. Although he shares many traits with Araki, the latter has mentioned in interviews that his personality is nothing like Rohan's despite the superficial similarities. For one thing, although Araki likes Josuke, Rohan can't stand him.
* BareYourMidriff: Most of his outfits.
* BreakoutCharacter: After his introduction in the story, he became a sort of "bonus" protagonist. Very popular among the fans, he is also the main protagonist in several {{Spinoff}} stories such as the "Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe" one-shots.
* BrutalHonesty: Really, really brutal.
* BunnyEarsLawyer: He's a very capable mangaka, but he has a lot of quirks.
* CallForward: According to ''Episode 16: At A Confesssional'', in the time of his recuperation after the battle against Josuke, he went to Italy to do researching for Pink Dark Boy. The next arc, Vento Aureo, is set in Italy.
* TheCameo: He's briefly namedropped in ''Stone Ocean'' as one of the few mangaka who are still making their deadlines after Made in Heaven takes effect. Keep in mind, that means he's [[BeyondTheImpossible drawing entire chapters of manga in a couple minutes each when time is going so fast that the ink on his pen should be drying out before he can touch paper]].
** CerebusRetcon: According to the ''Jorge Joestar'' novel, this incident wasn't a joke. Rohan was so utterly absorbed in his work that Made in Heaven simply didn't affect him and he carried over into the next universe ''unchanged''. Of course said novel is a non-canon CrackFic written by the author, so take that as you will.
* CharacterizationMarchesOn: Initially, he's portrayed as being reclusive, extremely rude, and possibly even mentally unstable. As time went on, those traits got toned down considerably to where he seemed more eccentric than anything else. He almost seems like a different character in the one-shots compared to how he seemed at his first appearance.
* DefeatMeansFriendship: Only partially. Rohan gets along very well with Hazamada and Koichi, but not Josuke. He was defeated by the latter, mind you.
* {{Fiction 500}}: The wealth gained from the popularity of his manga allows him to buy Gucci, Armani and ''mountain ranges'' with enough money to make [[WesternAnimation/DuckTales Scrooge McDuck]] green with envy. The last of those temporarily bankrupted him, mind.
* FreudianExcuse: His proclivities toward the horror genre, mystery-solving, and general unpleasantness can all be traced back to a very repressed and very traumatic childhood experience involving a serial killer attacking his home when he was a child and murdering his babysitter.
* {{God Mode|rs}}: His Stand amounts to this, especially once it becomes clear in ''Rohan au Louvre'' that he can even use it on himself. He can make it impossible for others to attack him, and if he had just a little more motivation, he could have been one of the most fearsome characters in the series with it.
* FightingSpirit[=/=]WeirdnessMagnet: And not limited to people with Stands.
* {{Haunted Hero|ine}}: From the manga to the one-shots, every story about Rohan involves him encountering ghosts.
* HeroOfAnotherStory: Is this in ''Rohan at the Louvre'', a graphic novel written by Araki where he investigates a supposedly cursed painting at the Louvre in Paris.
* HiddenHeartOfGold: He tends to cover up his true feelings with his arrogance, although he is not without his sincere moments, as seen when bidding farewell to the ghost of Reimi Sugimoto.
* IJustWantToBeSpecial: Rohan's expressed desire not to be bothered hides his true wish to experience an extraordinary adventure.
* ItsAllAboutMe: And he's right to a degree. Just not in the manner he expected or wanted.
* ItsPersonal: He's even more motivated to bring down Kira when he learns that one of Kira's victims once babysat him at her home on the same night Kira chose her as his newest [[ALoveToDismember "girlfriend" donor]]. She [[HeroicSacrifice neglected her own safety so she could ensure that Rohan would not be killed as well]]. Suffice to say that Rohan becomes determined to repay her sacrifice.
* LackOfEmpathy: Caused by a combination of his inborn eccentricity and his pride in his skills as an artist, Rohan believes that normal people are a waste of his precious time, and will ONLY show his ''barely'' kind and caring side to those who earn his respect. He ''does'' slowly gain some after befriending Koichi.
* LaserGuidedAmnesia: By turning people's flesh into pages, he can rip the pages out, taking their memories and weight.
* MadArtist: He is eccentric, arrogant, reclusive, and initially comes across as sociopathic, though he shows his nicer side later.
* AManOfWealthAndTaste: Wealthy, yes. Buys top classy brands, oh definitely. Taste? Well... His are as "different" as his personality.
* MeaningfulName: In ''Rohan au Louvre'', he explains that his parents combined the characters for "tied to" and "the ephemeral" to give him the name "Rohan". This explains why he seems to always attract wandering spirits.
* MundaneMadeAwesome: He has, without a doubt, the '''MOST EPIC''' ''drawing skills'' '''EVER'''.
* NiceHat: Heavens's Door has one.
* NoExportForYou: Invoked. His comics have Taiwanese and French translations, but no English. According to Rohan, [[TakeThat the American industry has no taste and won't publish him]].
* NoSenseOfPersonalSpace
* OddFriendship: With Koichi Hirose. He is the one person Rohan does consider his friend.
* OneLiner: From the Highway Star arc:
--> ''"However, I refuse."''
* PersonalityPowers: Heaven's Door is perfect for someone with writer's block.
* ProgressivelyPrettier: In his debut arc, he started out very plain-looking with some tendency to make creepy expressions. After Araki's drastic style change in the middle of the story, he becomes one of the most well-known {{Bishonen}}s of Part 4.
* PsychicAssistedSuicide: Heaven's Door is fully capable of inflicting this on others. [[spoiler:He threatens to force Okuyasu Nijimura to burn himself to death with a lighter in order to force Josuke to face him head on, as opposed to running away and getting help.]]
* RealLifeWritesThePlot: Invoked InUniverse. Rohan is obsessed to gain every possible type of data from real world for his research to make his work feel as "realistic" as possible.
** Its also another point to bring up in the whole AuthorAvatar thing. In the author's note section of volume 35, Araki wrote that he's against environmental destruction, and brings up that he recently visited his hometown, and a mountain that was there has been bulldozed to make room for a housing complex. Pretty much the same thing happened to Rohan in ''Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe - Mutsukabekaza'', but Rohan just bought the entire mountain range instead of letting it get bulldozed, going bankrupt in the process. So, it's pretty obvious that Araki didn't take this lying down.
* ReclusiveArtist: An InUniverse example, and he's somewhat infamous for it.
* RewritingReality: His stand, Heaven's Door, has the ability to alter a target's thoughts, memories, and even their physical space. It even makes them capable of doing physically impossible things if he wishes - he saves Koichi from the hands of the dead by writing "Koichi flies backwards at 70 KPH" in him. As of ''Rohan au Louvre'', he can even use the ability on himself.
* ScrewTheRulesIHaveMoney: He bought a few mountains in order to stop construction so he could proceed with research for his manga in an undisturbed environment. He went bankrupt in the process, but money is never an object to him anyway.
* ScrewTheMoneyIHaveRules: When Josuke attempts to trick him into betting enormous amounts of money in a gambling game [[spoiler:involving an alien disguised as dice]], Rohan becomes so focused on figuring out how Josuke cheats that he fails to notice that his ''very'' expensive home is '''on fire'''. He then proceeds to '''''[[{{Determinator}} ignore the fire entirely]]''''', still hell-bent on figuring out Josuke's scheme. Later on, it is shown that he was quick to pay for the extremely high housing repair costs incurred due to the fire without so much as batting an eyelash.
* {{Shonen}}: Apparently Rohan's editors believed that he needed more [[BuxomIsBetter large-breasted female characters]] for his manga to be successful. It seems that his manga, ''Pink Dark Boy'', is an action story full of young men and was able to become [[AuthorAvatar a massive hit]] even without the addition of more female characters. Building upon this, he is particularly drawn to Koichi as the lad exhibits several laudable traits associated with the genre.
* StoryBreakerPower: Though not to the extent of characters in other parts, Rohan is absent or distracted during several critical fights in Part 4, because otherwise his Stand would easily tip the balance in favor of the heroes.
* TheFriendNobodyLikes: While they do appreciate him, nearly everyone agrees that Rohan is an extremely unpleasant individual. Even [[NiceGuy Koichi]] is still unnerved around him from time to time. This suits Rohan just fine, since he has little interest in the rest of them in return, beyond being his allies in uncovering Kira. The only exceptions to this are with Koichi, [[OnlyFriend the only friend he truly respects]], and Josuke, [[WithFriendsLikeThese the only friend he]] '''[[WithFriendsLikeThese really]]''' [[WithFriendsLikeThese hates]].
* WouldHurtAChild: He punches Ken when he become too annoying with his challenge to Rock-Paper-Scissors. Unfortunatly [[HoistByHisOwnPetard a punch count as rock]]..
* WriteWhatYouKnow: Invoked. Like Araki, he believes in researching reality to improve his stories. ''Maybe'' unlike Araki, he does some extreme things for that purpose. Early on, he tortures a spider to see how it reacts to pain, then kills it... but not before '''tasting''' it with a casual lick.
* WriteWhoYouKnow: In-universe example. Being able to literally read people like books comes in handy for when he needs inspiration for new characters...
* TheWorfEffect: Despite having one of the most broken stands in Part 4, Rohan constantly falls for traps set by enemy Stand users. It doesn't help that he's fairly short-sighted outside of his work.

! Reimi Sugimoto
->Voiced by: Sayuri Hara (TV anime), Creator/RyoHirohashi (''All-Star Battle'')

The ghost of Yoshikage Kira's first victim. She clues in Koichi and Rohan to the presence of a serial killer in Morioh.
* AdaptationalDyeJob: While she was a brunette in the manga, her hair is pink in the anime.
* BigFriendlyDog: Her ghostly sidekick, Arnold. He has cut open throat too!
* BigGood: As a ghost, she chooses to stay in Morioh in the hope of meeting someone willing to help her bring Kira, the man who has killed her and other girls, to justice. She introduces her story and the BigBad to the main characters.
* CoolBigSis: Was this to Rohan when he was 4 years old.
* CuteGhostGirl: She is a very cute girl and Okuyasu immediately note this when watch her photo.
* CurtainsMatchTheWindows: Her hair and eye colors are both pink in the anime.
* JacobMarleyApparel: Kira apparently leaves the same scar on everyone he kills, and the scar also appears on their ghosts.
* MeaningfulName: Aside from the ShoutOut below, "Rei" also means "spirit".
* NothingIsScarier: When she shows a person her scar, we never get to see it. One can only wonder how badly Kira used to mutilate people before Killer Queen gave him a cleaner way of handling corpses.
* OurGhostsAreDifferent: After her death, she choose to stay in the space in between Morioh and the afterlife until Kira is stopped from killing again.
* RoseHairedSweetie: She is very much a sweetie and the anime gave her pink hair.
* ShoutOut: She and her dog Arnold are named after two Syd Barrett-era Music/PinkFloyd singles, ''See Emily Play'' ("Reimi" is an anagram of "Emiri") and ''Arnold Layne''.
* {{Troll}}: Told her the tale of her death as a ghost story to screw with Rohan for mocking her nail polish. Besides the actual reason.

! Hayato Kawajiri
-> Voiced by: Creator/RinaSato (TV anime), Creator/YukoSato (''All-Star Battle'')

Kosaku Kawajiri's son.
* BackFromTheDead: [[spoiler: He attempts to blackmail Kira by revealing that he has further evidence that will be found by authorities in the case of his death, but his threats only anger Kira, who uses Killer Queen to dispatch him. Immediately after, Kira begins to panic and is spontaneously pierced by the Arrow. With his new ability, "Bites the Dust", he activates a time loop that restores Hayato to life.]]
* BadassNormal: Has no Stand power. Catches onto the villain first, escapes his elaborate trap, and throws himself in harm's way in a determined attempt to make sure Kira gets what he deserves. As a kid in elementary school, he more than qualifies.
* CreepyChild: Hayato is a quiet boy who spends most of his time in his bedroom. He rarely speaks to his parents, preferring to spy on them with electronic devices he has planted in their room. According to his mother, he has no close friends.
* {{Determinator}}: Despite being a young child, he has one of the most determined and persistent streaks of anyone in the ''series''. During the finale, he even [[spoiler: intentionally sets off one of Kira's bombs, having faith that Josuke would heal him before he could die of catastrophic blood loss]].
* DrivenToSuicide: Tries to kill himself with an Exacto knife when [[spoiler:Bites The Dust is about to trigger and kill Josuke's group]]. Unfortunately for him, [[spoiler:Bites The Dust is designed to keep ''him'' alive]].
* PapaWolf: Inverted; ironic in that, being just a child, he's willing to die and even kill to protect his mother from [[spoiler:Kira in the guise of his father.]]
* ProperlyParanoid: He places hidden cameras around the house and films his father while he is going to work for months, because he suspects that he has been replaced by someone who looks exactly the same.
* WiseBeyondTheirYears: Hayato is very observative and intelligent for a child his age.

! Joseph Joestar (Stand: Hermit Purple)

See [[Characters/JoJosBizarreAdventurePart2 part 2]]

! Tomoko Higashikata
->Voiced by: Creator/MegumiToyoguchi (TV anime)
->Played by: Arisa Mizuki (live-action movie)

Josuke's mother, who is deeply in love with Joseph. She's rather normal, being as good of a parent as she can to Josuke.
* DaddysGirl: Implied. She takes a long time to change Ryohei Higashikata's bedroom, depressed over his death.
* DistractedByTheSexy: Like most females when in Jotaro's company. Even when he's clarified that [[MistakenIdentity he's not Joseph]], she's still spaced out in his presence.
* DistressedDamsel: Gets held hostage several times throughout Part 4.
* ForeheadOfDoom: Has a rather large one in her first manga appearance, particularly when she's pissed off. Later depictions of her toned down her forehead greatly.
* HairTriggerTemper: She slams a guy's head into his car when he tries to flirt with her.
* MayDecemberRomance: She was the mistress of Joseph, who was older than her father.
* YourCheatingHeart: Inverted case. She is still madly in love with Joseph, but it is not known whether she knew he was married during their romance.

! Ryohei Higashikata
->Voiced by: Creator/KatsuhisaHouki (TV anime)
->Played by: Jun Kunimura (live-action movie)

Josuke's grandfather. A police officer who served in Morioh for 35 years. A jokester who is somewhat neglectful of his duties, but genuinely eager to help his community. Gets killed by Anjuro.
* CoolOldGuy
* ContrivedCoincidence: While targeting Josuke, Anjuro recognizes him as the officer who originally arrested him.
* FriendlyTarget
* LetsGetDangerous: Gets a fearsome look in his eyes when he finds out a serial killer's on the loose. [[SubvertedTrope Sadly, since the killer recently gained supernatural powers...]]
* OverprotectiveDad: Looks the other way when Tomoko slams an overly flirtatious man's face into his car.
* SacrificialLamb: He is the first good character killed from a villain.

! Nijimura Family Patriarch (Stand: unnamed)
->Voiced by: NaomiKusumi (TV anime)

The father of the Nijimura brothers. The loss of their mother and the family's descent into poverty made him abusive, but his financial problems were solved by joining Dio's henchmen. However, the flesh bud implant that came with this ran wild upon Dio's death, causing him to mutate into a monstrous form that would impair his intelligence and ability to speak and heal any wounds instantly. Keicho subsequently searches for a means to end his father's miserable life.
* AbusiveParent: He would often beat his sons without a second thought when he was stressed.
* AndIMustScream: Being turned into a blob that can't think or speak properly, it's the fate of anyone who has a seed of Dio inside them. Even worse, despite not being able to speak or otherwise communicate, he remembers who he was -- enough that he's spent ten years trying to reassemble a torn-up photograph of his family and crying for days on end between attempts.
* BodyHorror: Mutated into a massive creature with rough, blistered green skin, no ears, and something resembling a beak for his nose and mouth.
* HealingFactor: His unnamed stand seems to give him this power, allowing him to regrow a severed arm.
* HumanoidAbomination: Mutated into an almost mindless green blob monster with a beakish mouth.
* KarmicTransformation: He became the savage beast he was to his sons.
* NoNameGiven: We never learn his given name, or the name of his Stand.
* ProgressivelyPrettier: Starts off being utterly disgusting before ArtEvolution made him into a cartoony {{Mon}}-like creature.
* SanitySlippage: The seed not only decreased his looks, but his rationality as well, being completely animalistic by the time of the story.

! Tamami Kobayashi (Stand: The Lock)
-> Voiced by: Satoshi Tsuruoka (TV anime), Kazunari Tanaka (''All-Star Battle'')

A local thug who shakes down people for money by using his Stand, The Lock, which places a heavy padlock on a target's heart that amplifies feelings of guilt. After his defeat at the hands of Koichi and his newly awakened Stand, he ceases his criminal activities and helps the party from time to time.
* AdvertisedExtra: Prior to [[BreakoutCharacter Rohan's]] appearance, he often shows up in chapter covers even though he's unimportant compared to the heroes.
* AnimeHair: His pompadour is even bigger than Josuke's.
* ArtEvolution: When he's first introduced, he's a regular sized man with a regular amount of hair. Over the course of a few chapters, his design drastically changes to one in which he's about the same size as the diminutive Koichi and his hair is drawn more pronounced.
* DefeatMeansFriendship: After being defeated, he becomes a follower of Koichi.
* EmotionBomb: The Lock is created from and amplifies the victim's sense of guilt.
* HeelFaceTurn: Brought on by not wanting to have his eardrums explode by Echoes.
* {{Jerkass}}
** JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Becomes this after being humbled by Koichi.
* TheKnightsWhoSaySquee: A Stand user himself, and is a fan of Rohan Kishibe's works. In ''Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe: Mutsukabezaka'', he receives an autograph made of coffee in a paper sheet.
* LoanShark: After his defeat, he starts working taking back loans for casinos and the mafia, apparently by making people feel guilty if they don't pay.
* OlderThanTheyLook: He was an average-sized man until Koichi defeated him, which somehow resulted in him shrinking to midget size.
* PsychicAssistedSuicide: If The Lock becomes heavy enough, its victim ''will'' become so guilt-addled that they'll think suicide the only proper thing to do.
* WeirdnessMagnet
* WoundedGazelleGambit: One of his favourite tricks to spark guilt in his victims is to injure himself and shifting blame to another (such as taking a pratfall after being pushed to purposefully knock out his tooth).

! Toshikazu Hazamada (Stand: Surface)
-> Voiced by: Hiroki Shimowada (TV anime), Creator/TaikiMatsuno (''All-Star Battle'')

A bully at Josuke and Koichi's high school. He uses his stand, Surface, to alter a life-size wooden mannequin into an exact double of someone. If the Surface-doppelganger makes eye contact with whoever its imitating, the real person will be locked into copying the mannequin's movements.
* ArtEvolution: In the same vein as Tamami Kobayashi, he was originally introduced as a regular sized man. However after being discharged from the hospital following his initial encounter, he became much more smaller, being practically just a head taller than the diminutive Koichi.
** Subverted in the anime; he is introduced already slimmed down and short.
* AxCrazy
* DefeatMeansFriendship: After his defeat, he wants to befriend Koichi Hirose as both are fans of mangaka Rohan Kishibe.
* DisproportionateRetribution: How he is introduced; Tamami narrates to Koichi and Josuke how he used his stand to [[EyeScream force someone to rip his eye out]] just because the guy had argued with him. He also tried to stab someone in the mouth with a box cutter for insulting him , but by then Josuke [[BigDamnHeroes had already found him.]]
* DubNameChange: His stand's name is changed to "Show Off" in the Crunchyroll subtitles.
* EyeScream: He attempts to do this to Josuke with his Stand ability. It doesn't work, but it would have if the wound had been just a few millimeters deeper (previously, Hazemada inflict this to his ex-friends as described above).
* FightingSpirit
* GreenEyedMonster: He holds a hatred of popular people; even jealously attacking his own Stand once it adopts Josuke's appearance and is greeted by many school girls.
* HazyFeelTurn
* OlderThanTheyLook: After being beaten up by two bikers and befriending Koichi, Hazamada suddenly looks quite a bit younger than before, partly because he suddenly looks a lot shorter. On the other hand, Koichi ''is'' the primary point of view, so this may be an indication of Hazamada no longer being a threat to him.
* {{Otaku}}: A big fan of Rohan Kishibe's ''Pink Dark Boy'' and nerdy interests in general.
* NoRespectGuy: ''His own Stand'' makes fun of him.
* PeoplePuppets: Surface uses an interesting version of this. Once it begins mimicking a person, it can actually control their actions so long as it maintains eye contact. Specifically, whenever it makes a motion while doing so, the one mimicked will wind up doing the same motion, albeit with the other side of their body, as though they were Surface's mirror reflection.
* ShoutOut: Surface is a reference to Perman's (a work of ''Creator/FujikoFujio'') eponymous copy-robots. In the series, the copy-robot transforms into an identical clone to help the main character keep his secret identity during missions.
** Surface also mentions Perman by name in the anime adaptation. It then gets upset when Josuke expresses his confusion about the subject.
* TheSociopath: Rohan's use of Heaven's Door on him reveals he tortures animals and his younger brother and nearly raped a girl he had a crush on...[[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking and as such, is absolutely terrible writing material for Rohan]]. [[ComicallyMissingThePoint Naturally, he's really crushed by it]].
* WeirdnessMagnet: Hazamada was the one who posits the idea that Stand users invariably attract other Stand users, and he repeats this statement [[spoiler:at the meeting concerning Shigechi's death]]. It may have been why when Koichi finds Rohan suspicious, Hazamada brings up the possibility of him being a Stand user.

! Yukako Yamagishi (Stand: Love Deluxe)
-> Voiced by: Creator/MamikoNoto (TV Anime), Creator/ChinatsuAkasaki (''Eyes of Heaven'')
-> Played by: Nana Komatsu (live-action movie)

A beautiful classmate of Koichi's who falls deeply in love with him due to his pure heart and potential. Her Stand, Love Deluxe, makes her hair prehensile.
* AdvertisedExtra: Araki likes to put her in chapter covers, despite her overall unimportance to the story.
* AlliterativeName
* BlackEyesOfEvil: As a side-effect of Aya's Stand Cinderella after she forgot to apply a lipstick.
* CharacterTic: Her left eye has a tendency to twitch whenever she gets mad or worked up over something.
* ClingyJealousGirl: She jealously attacks a girl that she believes to be a potential rival almost burning her to death.
* CustomUniform: Her SailorFuku is noticeably different from the ones other female students wear at Budagaoka High School, being blue instead of green and having a rose embroidered on one sleeve.
* CuteAndPsycho: Initially she appeared demure shy and sweet around Koichi before quickly showing her temper and obsession. She also tends to live in her own world, which makes her dangerous.
* DefeatMeansFriendship: Being bested by Koichi, then [[spoiler:rescued from a certain death by Echoes, who pasted a "Boing" sound onto a rock that otherwise would have impaled her]] mellows her down.
* {{Determinator}}: She calls it an obsession problem. Once she has her sights set on something, she won't give up until she has it. Unfortunately for Koichi, he becomes her first love. [[spoiler:Never giving up eventually works out for her]]. This trait is also deconstructed to a degree as while her intense drive and focus imbues her Stand with a staggering amount of power and range, they also blind her to traps she would've otherwise seen coming due to the resulting tunnel vision.
* DiseaseBleach: Her hair turn white if she uses her stand too much or if she takes too much damage.
* EarlyBirdCameo: In the anime she appear the episode before her official introduction.
* EarnYourHappyEnding: [[spoiler: During the "Cinderella Arc", she shows an integrity to her desire for Koichi, finally leading him to return her feelings.]]
* {{Expy}}: One of several {{Yandere}} that pioneered its appeal in Japan (she predates the more well-known [[Manga/FutureDiary Yuno Gasai]] by 14 years), WordOfGod commentary has admitted that her character was inspired by Annie Wilkes from ''Literature/{{Misery}}'' and the idea of deconstructing the YamatoNadeshiko. Her hair manipulation abilities and it turning white after combating the person she loves is reminiscent of Lian Nichang from ''Baifa Monu Zhuan'' (origin of the "white haired witch" character in many {{Wuxia}} films).
* FaceOfAThug: When she goes to see Aya Tsuji at her salon, she's described as having face that would repel love. While she is conventionally quite attractive, there's a certain rigidity to her eyebrows and hard set of her eyes and mouth that some would describe as a "resting bitch face", which makes it especially harrowing to see her when she gets pissed.
* HeelFaceTurn: After her defeat Yukako, still lovestruck, seemed to have learned from her mistake in trying to force Koichi.
* OfficialCouple: With [[spoiler:Koichi]].
* OutOfFocus: After the "Yukako Yamagishi wants to be Cinderella" story arc, she is reduced to a very minor role in the RPS Kid arc and completely disappears soon after. She then only appears at the end to salute Reimi.
* PrehensileHair: The power of Love Deluxe. She can use her hair as a weapon to do things like use strands to wrap around someone's tongue so they cannot talk, smash though a window so she doesn't cut herself, put some of her hair on someone else's to drag them into things, and just flat out crush a two story house.
* SacredFirstKiss: [[spoiler:At the end of the Cinderella story arc, she has a HappyEnding with Koichi]].
* StalkerWithACrush: Towards Koichi, although after he successfully defeats her, she greatly tones down her aggression.
* TinyGuyHugeGirl: The huge girl to Koichi's tiny guy.
* TwitchyEye: She also has the tendency for her left eye to twitch when she is stressed.
* YamatoNadeshiko: Deconstructed. She's beautiful, a good cook, initially comes across as sweet and soft-spoken, and is very dedicated to Koichi. The problem is that Koichi doesn't return her feelings [[spoiler:at first]] and her dedication drives her to kidnap him and forcefully mold him into an "admirable man" by such methods as withholding food and ''building an electric chair'' (which she thankfully never gets to use). She also very definitely has an inner steel, but it makes her come across as violently temperamental.
** [[HimeCut Long hair]] was traditionally considered desirable for Japanese women: [[PrehensileHair hers is weaponized]]. Yamato Nadeshiko strive to improve their husband so he can achieve his goals, but she does it against Koichi's will and consent. The prerequisite of UndyingLoyalty is taken to its full extreme as a {{Yandere}}. She is absolutely a {{Determinator}} when it comes to love, but when it's unrequited and you stay behind the scenes like Yukako does, it just makes you a StalkerWithACrush.
* {{Yandere}}: Until Echoes defeats her, anyway. More precisely, she initially loves Koichi, but becoming violent towards any who she feels would hurt her chances of captivating him. She takes an overtly psychopathic turn when she decides to kidnap and brainwash Koichi, before his triumphant escape.

! Antonio Trussardi (Stand: Pearl Jam)
->Voiced by: Tokuyoshi Kawashima (TV anime), Daisuke Matsubara (''All-Star Battle'')

An Italian chef who sets up shop in Morioh. His stand, Pearl Jam, allows his dishes to correct poor health.
* AnimeAccentAbsence: Averted; in the anime he has a distinctive accent when he speaks, indicating that Japanese isn't his first language.
* BerserkButton: Kitchen hygiene is something that Antonio takes very, ''very'' seriously. He does not take ignorance of said hygiene well, as Josuke found out.
* BodyHorror: While his cooking is beneficial, it also has the unfortunate side effect of doing some rather gross things to the person who eats it in the process (like causing Okuyasu's eyes to deflate and a dog to start puking up his intestines.)
* DubNameChange: Pearl Jam is changed to Opal Jam in the English version of ''All-Star Battle'' and Pole Jam in Crunchyroll's subtitles for the anime. His last name also changes from Trussardi to Trendy, presumably to avoid legal trouble from the real life fashion house.
* FaceOfAThug: Pearl Jam looks like a swarm of grimacing, sharp-toothed parasites, but it cures the illnesses and pleases the taste buds of Tonio's customers.
* GoodAllAlong: At first glance, Josuke is rightly suspicious of him for the BodyHorror his food inflicts on those who eat it, and thinks Tonio could have a hidden agenda in serving that kind of food. But as it turns out, he's genuinely trying to make his customers happy and healthy.
* HeKnowsTooMuch: Subverted. It looks like he's flying into a rage when Josuke and Okuyasu see his KickTheDog moment. Turns out he was just pissed that they didn't come in with the proper hygiene.
* KickTheDog: Shockingly subverted, considering this series' track record for the trope. Josuke and Okuyasu witness Antonio feeding some of his food to a sickly dog, and witness said dog [[BodyHorror puke up his intestines]]. Turns out (as Okuyasu finds out the hard way) that it's just Pearl Jam's way of curing people, as they need to expel the damaged body parts. The dog turns out to be perfectly fine and better than before.
* MundaneUtility[=/=]PersonalityPowers: Pearl Jam was awakened by his resolve to perfect his culinary arts, and its ability reflects that -- it quickens the body's digestion and utilization of food to repair any diseases the eater is suffering from.
* NiceGuy: Pretty much the only Stand user the heroes run into that through and through has good intentions, with no DefeatEqualsFriendship required.
* {{Panacea}}: His stand's abilities turns any food he makes into this, though not without some [[BodyHorror weird side effects]].
* RequiredSecondaryPowers: Pearl Jam is not a "cure-all" power that heals everything in one go; each dish Antonio makes is specifically designed to cure ''one'' malady each. To that end, Antonio seems to also have the ability to diagnose a person's ailments at a glance so as not to rely on guesswork when preparing a plate.
* SupremeChef: Tonio is a master of Italian cuisine and only uses the best ingredients.
* VerbalTic: Along with occasionally slipping Italian into his speech, Tonio uses the word "''anata''" a lot, which is a common mistake by non-native speakers of Japanese who are used to second-person pronouns being used more often.
* WhatYouAreInTheDark: ''Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe - Poaching Reef'' gives a bit of background for Tonio's reason to migrate from Italy to Morioh. [[spoiler:He wanted to find a cure for his lover's tumor]].
* WeirdnessMagnet

! Shizuka Joestar (Stand: Achtung Baby)
->Voiced by: Creator/TaekoKawata (TV anime)

An invisible baby found by Josuke Higashikata and Joseph Joestar. Her Stand ability, "Achtung Baby", allows her to turn her and anything at short range invisible.
* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: Despite being adopted by Joseph at the end of part 4, she hasn't appeared since. [[spoiler:And given the cosmic retcon in Stone Ocean, it's possible she never will.]]
* {{Invisibility}}: Her Stand ability, "Achtung Baby", allows her to turn her and anything at short range invisible. Depending on stressful situations for Shizuka, the active strength of the stand can increase making the immediate surroundings of the child invisible as well, be it a person's fingers, her baby carriage or even the ground.
* MeaningfulName: Shizuka means "calm" or "quiet"; both appropriate for someone with a stealth-themed Stand, and something her caretaker is going to hope for, as her ability causes trouble if she gets upset.
** Her first name can also be read as "Jo". Going with the adopted family name, her name can be read as "Jo Joestar".
* PowerIncontinence: Justified. She is just a baby and has no control on her power.
* ShoutOut: The "disguise" that Joseph and Josuke gives her might be a reference to ''{{Literature/The Invisible Man}}''.
* WeirdnessMagnet: Thankfully the magnet has caught Joseph.

! Shigekiyo "Shigechi" Yanguu (Stand: Harvest)
-> Voiced by: Creator/KappeiYamaguchi (TV anime, ''All-Star Battle'', ''Eyes of Heaven'')

A fat middle schooler with a greedy streak. He commands Harvest, a 500-man stand resembling tiny bee men.
* BestFriendManual: He appears socially inept, being overjoyed at the thought of having friends in Josuke and Okuyasu and giving them without second thought a share of the spoils he acquired through Harvest (if too much money isn't concerned Shigechi is always friendly).
* CruelAndUnusualDeath: [[spoiler: His face and body is partially caved in by Killer Queen's first explosion, and stumbles around in pain for a while before being finished off. This is even more pronounced in the anime, where he suffers for half the episode before being put down.]]
* DeathOfAThousandCuts: One application of his Stand.
* DyingClue: [[spoiler: He manages to pull off a button from Kira's suit and manages to get the last of Harvest to deliver it to Josuke and Okuyasu just as Kira finishes him off.]]
* [[EvenBadMenLoveTheirMamas Even Jerkasses Love Their Parents]]: He's a selfish money-grubber, but when [[spoiler:Kira threatens his parents after damaging him heavily]], he spills the beans about Morioh's search for Reimi's killer.
* FatBastard: While he is one of the good guys, Shigechi is also greedy, quick to blame his friends when something goes wrong, and has a tendency to go back on his word. Justified in that he hasn't exactly been treated nicely in the past.
* FightingSpirit[=/=]WeirdnessMagnet
* {{Gonk}}: One of ugliest character of the entire franchise. He's short and fat. Apparently bald, his crown is textured by short spikes, and he has thick, drooping earlobes. He has small, high eyebrows, and youthful features. His teeth are misaligned, and he is missing his left maxillary central incisor.
* {{Greed}}: Shigechi's greediness and possessiveness get the better of him. He couldn't bear the thought of sharing the five million yen he, Josuke and Okuyasu acquired through the lottery with them, and stole the check from them, threatening to kill both if they approached. After his eventual reconciliation, he possessiveness still extends to being unwilling to give money to his friends, but lending it. Is very touchy when someone threatens his lunch. [[spoiler:This in part gets him killed.]]
* HeKnowsTooMuch: One day, he buys an expensive sandwich made in limited quantities. He misplaces it and finds another bag from the same bakery. Unfortunately, [[spoiler:Yoshikage Kira also bought and misplaced the same sandwich and left his current "girlfriend" in the bag. Shigechi finds Kira's sandwich bag and discovers his "girlfriend", so Kira kills him because he cannot leave any witnesses alive]].
* HeartIsAnAwesomePower: One of the best examples in the series. Shigechi's stand seems like nothing special, being just a bunch of tiny creatures with a stinger that has practically nil offensive capability, and with a little compartment in their head in which they can store anything that fits, which is not much. However, multiply that offensive capability by ''five hundred'' and you actually have a potentially pretty dangerous stand, and he can also command his stand to look for things to bring him which manage to fit in their head, such as coins.
* HopeSpot: When he manages to get to Josuke's classroom [[spoiler: after being critically injured by Kira, it turns out Kira got there before him and turned the doorknob into a bomb.]]
* KilledOffForReal: [[spoiler: Killed by Kira]].
* TheMinionMaster: Harvest is one of the few Stands composed of many small units that may act individually. The number of individual units comprising Harvest totals about 500.
* MundaneUtility: He uses his Stand to collect lost coins around town. If he commands them to go find 100 yen coins, it means he'll get back five hundred of those. ''That's roughly $500 American dollars'', which he can ask the stand to bring him pretty much at will. Him getting those five hundred 100 yen coins every day would ''set him for life''.
* RasputinianDeath: Notable due not to how creative and drawn out his death is, but he fact that [[spoiler: he ''survives'' getting blown up by Killer Queen, and it takes a second detonation to finally kill him. Even then, his soul persists just long enough to let his final Harvest provide the clue the sets the heroes on Kira's trail.]]
* SmallRoleBigImpact: He only shows up in two arcs, his introduction and [[spoiler:his fatal meeting with Yoshikage Kira]]. The latter ends up finally giving his friends a lead on the serial killer.
* SpannerInTheWorks: [[spoiler: Kira is so cunning that the cast most likely would've been spinning their wheels for a long time trying to find him if Shigechi hadn't stumbled onto him and gotten himself killed trying to tell the others.]]
* {{Synchronization}}: Much like Keicho, his damage or destruction to one member of his multi-person stand doesn't seem to do anything to Shigechi. However [[spoiler:after his death, his one surviving Harvest Stand arrives in front of Josuke, and explodes in much the same way as Shigechi did]].
* WalkingSpoiler: [[spoiler: His death introduces the BigBad of the series]].
* WeHardlyKnewYe: [[spoiler: He is killed the chapter after his introductive arc]].

! Aya Tsuji (Stand: Cinderella)
-> Voiced by: Creator/SayakaOhara (TV Anime)

The manager and chief beautician of the Cinderella spa. Aya considers herself the fairy godmother of any woman who wanders into her salon, and uses her stand, Cinderella, to temporarily alter these women's appearance in a way that will magically attract luck and love.
* AdaptationExpansion: Downplayed example. Her debut story arc in the manga, Yukako wants to be Cinderella, was after [[WhamEpisode Yoshikage Kira Wants a Quiet Life]], but since those episodes orders were reversed in the anime, Aya appeared with the gang after [[spoiler: Shigechi's death]], with some dialogue foreshadowing future events. Other than that, her role remains the same.
* AmbiguouslyBi: When Yukako comes back for another 30-minute treatment, she acts rather... odd.
-->'''Aya:''' I'll need to touch you in all sorts of places...
** Basically she just feels her lips and lowers Yukako's shirt, which isn't bad, but then out of nowhere, she just grabs Yukako's breasts. It's kinda funny that Yukako doesn't even react, but she does slap her whilst stonefaced.
** It also says something that in response to getting slapped, she just giggles.
* ArtShift: When she appears in the anime, the style shifts to Art Nouveau to mirror how fairy tales (such as her Stand's inspiration) were illustrated.
* DroppedABridgeOnHim: [[spoiler: She gets detonated by Kira so she can't reveal how she altered his features ''and'' so they won't revert. Note that said detonation occurs ''very'' shortly after the heroes find her after Kira's escape from her shop.]]
* FairyGodmother: How she sees and acts herself.
* FightingSpirit[=/=]WeirdnessMagnet
* JackassGenie: While her stand does inflict BodyHorror on Yukako, she notes that it was because she didn't continue to apply the lipstick she was given.
* MagicPlasticSurgery: Done through Cinderella, it pretty much ''is'' magic. The stand can replace some parts of your body by creating a replacement for it from the slots on its hand. It can also remove body parts from existing humans and place them on others.
* MundaneUtility: Cinderella was awakened due to Aya's desire to be like the FairyGodmother from the story. When Cinderella alters a woman's features, it also amplifies her luck while the features are in effect. This includes gaining Mr. Right.
* NoOntologicalInertia: Inverted--the effects of Cinderella will go away in 30 minutes...[[spoiler:unless you kill her]].
* PersonalityPowers: See MundaneUtility.
* SheKnowsTooMuch: [[spoiler: Kira goes to her to change his appearance, and then kills her because she knows what his new face looks like]].
* TemptingFate: The anime has her declaring she will keep an eye on her costumers, even though there is no reason for the killer to go there. [[spoiler: She is wrong.]]
* VerbalTic: Tends to end her sentences with a visible sigh or heavy breathing sound because of her naturally low blood pressure.

! Mikitaka Hazekura / Nu Mikitakazo Nshi (Stand(?): Earth, Wind, and Fire)
-> Voiced by: Creator/YasuyukiKase (TV Anime)

An alien. [[AmbiguouslyHuman ...Maybe]]. His Stand ([[AmbiguouslyHuman ...maybe]]) is Earth, Wind, and Fire, which allows him to shapeshift into anything.
* AmbiguouslyHuman: He claims to be an alien, but it's never confirmed. It's not even clear if his shapeshifting power is actually a Stand -- while it's well within the rather broad definition of a Stand, the Stand arrow ''swerves away from his body'' when fired at him, which... shouldn't happen. He also acts as if he can't see other Stands, an ability every Stand user is supposed to have.
* BerserkButton: Downplayed. Mikitaka doesn't lose his cool composure but when Okuyasu told him he wasn't needed he jumped into the fray without thinking much.
* {{Bishonen}}: After ArtEvolution kicks in; his ears become slimmer and don't stick out as much, his hair gains a lot more volume and flows freely opposed to being pulled back tightly from his face.
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: Even if he really ''is'' an alien he would be a really strange boy.
* DubNameChange: Earth, Wind, and Fire to Terra Ventus in the English version of ''All-Star Battle''.
* FeelNoPain: Even after having his arm bolted to a steel tower he doesn't flinch a bit, just seems a bit confused.
* FriendToAllLivingThings: His hobby is taking care of animals, and even after Josuke didn't believe his identity as an alien and Okuyasu acted hostile towards him [[NiceGuy he still tries to be friendly and help them]]. He willingly accepts his fate as Superfly's prisoner if it meant keeping Josuke safe. Not that Josuke was having any of it, though.
* HealingFactor: He seems to possess regeneration, as Mikitaka transforms part of his hands into ice-creams and separates them from his body, but nothing is missing from his hands later.
* TheMasquerade: He claims that he is maintaining this in front of his mother.
* MundaneUtility: Josuke asks to turn into some rigged dice, and uses him to play dice with Rohan in order to cheat some free cash out of him.
* MysticalWhiteHair: He has [[LongHairedPrettyBoy very long]] and beautiful white hair.
* PointyEars: Serve as an indication that he [[AmbiguouslyHuman may or may not]] be human.
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld: He claims to be 216 years old, despite how he looks to be around the same age as Josuke and Okuyasu.
* VoluntaryShapeshifting: Stand or an alien ability, this allows him to transform into almost anything. He seems to be able to combine his strength with those of other people: when he turned into sneakers for Josuke to wear, he notes that their strength combined is what made them able to move away so fast. Although he can transform into almost any object, he is unable to transform into complex items like machines or something that requires more strength than his own to operate (i.e. dynamite) and copy the appearances of other people (he claims it's because all humans look the same to him).
* WeaksauceWeakness: The sounds of sirens cause him to break out and lose control of his powers, leading to the very memorable scene of him splitting apart into ribbons while wailing for Josuke to take him away from the noise.
* WeirdnessMagnet

! Yuuya Fungami (Stand: Highway Star)
* ChickMagnet: Is continually attended by three girls in love with him.
* DubNameChange: Highway Star to Highway Go Go in the English version of ''All-Star Battle''.
* FightingAShadow: His stand can section itself into many parts as it flies at its extreme speeds, breaking apart in flat horizontal segments and moving, then reassembling piece by piece. This allows Highway Star to do things like slip though narrow passages or do large scale multiangle attacks by striking with all its pieces at once.
* {{Fangirl}}: He has tree girls that love and protect him while he was hospitalized, not letting anyone come closer. Their names are Reiko, Akemi and Yoshie.
* GorgeousGeorge
* HeelFaceTurn: [[spoiler: When Koichi is kidnapped by Terunosuke Miyamoto, Josuke asks him to find Koichi with his heightened sense of smell, but Yuya warns him that this is the only thing he will do. They find Terunosuke and Josuke is turned into a paper by Enigma. Inspired by Josuke´s bravery in his attempt to save Koichi, Yuya thinks about how he would do the same for his admirers and saves Josuke and Koichi.]]
* HiddenDepths: Yuuya is a ''really good'' detective, as evidenced by his deductions with his advanced sense of smell. This is why Josuke enlists him in fighting against Terunosuke.
* JapaneseDelinquents: Part of a biker gang; he got his Stand when Yoshihiro's arrow caused him to end up in a massive auto accident.
* TheNoseKnows: He has a strong sense of smell which he acquired from siphoning energy from others. He can tell if a peach has gone bad from across the room and track a person down by scent.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: [[spoiler: Tries to bail out of the Enigma fight after Josuke is trapped by the Stand's power, though this is immediately averted.]]
* SuperPersistentPredator: His stand is capable of separating into multiple moving shadow footprints and chasing someone for up to 60 km/h.
* VampiricDraining: Highway Star breaks down a person's body by draining the nutrients from their cells; its user Yuuya uses the stolen nutrients to help him recover from grievous wounds suffered in a motorcycle accident.

! Yoshikage Kira (Stand: Killer Queen)
[[caption-width-right:350:Click [[labelnote:here]]http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kosaku.png[[/labelnote]] to see [[spoiler:him as Kosaku]]]]
-> Voiced by: Creator/ToshiyukiMorikawa (TV anime), Creator/RikiyaKoyama (''All-Star Battle'')
-> Sheer Heart Attack voiced by: Creator/ToshiyukiMorikawa (TV anime), Creator/TsutomuKashiwakura (''All-Star Battle'')

A simple businessman and serial killer who has been secretly operating in Morioh for nearly 20 years. He targets beautiful women, and after killing and disposing of their bodies, keeps their hands, which he treats as a girlfriends, including taking them on dinner dates and buying them gifts of jewelry, until they finally rot. He first runs afoul of the heroes when he is forced to kill a student who accidentally discovers Kira's current girlfriend. A chase ensues, but Kira is clever enough to force a makeup worker to alter his face to resemble a local nobody, and gets away. The rest of ''Diamond is Unbreakable'' deals with the [=JoJo=] team searching for him.

His Stand is Killer Queen, who is able to make anything into a touch-activated bomb that leaves absolutely no evidence; this is what kept him off the police's radar. Other abilities include Sheer Heart Attack, an indestructible heat-seeking bomb on tank treads. Killer Queen's largest weakness is, apart from it being a close-range Stand, that only one Bomb can be active at a time.

His Stand and its powers are named after Music/{{Queen}} songs and albums: [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killer_Queen Killer Queen]] and [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sheer_Heart_Attack the album Sheer Heart Attack (which houses the song)]].
* AbusiveParents: [[spoiler:To Hayato, to the point where he ''killed him'', and later [[TykeBomb planted Bites the Dust on him]]. Subverted, as he isn't actually Hayato's father. He's just posing as him.]].
* ADayInTheLimelight: In ''Dead Man's Questions''.
* AdvertisedExtra: Despite being built up as the BigBad, Kira [[spoiler:in his original look only appears in two arcs before he changes faces with Kosaku, to the point where Kosaku is considered the Part 4 BigBad in ''All-Star Battle'', while regular Kira is relegated to DLC]].
* AffablyEvil: Unlike the previous {{Big Bad}}s, while a [[TheSociopath sociopath]], his {{Cloudcuckoolander}} traits are genuine, going out of his way to tell Shigechi his lifestyle and commenting on joining a gym because he saw it. At least at first.
** FauxAffablyEvil: Once he [[spoiler:usurps Kosaku's identity and gets Bites The Dust]], he becomes notably sarcastic and demeaning with a sly wit.
* AmbiguousDisorder: His SuperOCD, {{Cloudcuckoolander}} attitude, and his obsession with his "girlfriends", make it clear something is mentally not right with him.
* AnimalMotif: Cats. Killer Queen has very feline features, can be dangerous when his lifestyle is threatened, and even gets a power boost from a Stand called Stray Cat. Kira's finicky mannerisms and constant need to trim his nails also fit the motif, and later on he ends up living with a pet cat and gains a pet "cat" of his own.
* ArcVillain / BigBad: While he is regarded as ''the'' villain of Part Four, he doesn't show up until about halfway through and is only dealt with intermittently afterward. Before and between these encounters, Josuke's main concern is minor villains like Akira Otoishi and pestering Rohan.
* ArtificialStupidity: Sheer Heart Attack is completely automated (which means it can have the strength of a short-range stand despite technically being a long-range stand), but can be easily fooled if it's would-be-victims are clever enough.
* AxCrazy: A very subdued example. From his debut alone, you should get the hint that there's something horribly wrong with his psyche. Killer Queen also developed out of his desire for murder, and before he gained it, he was especially brutal to his victims.
* BadassInANiceSuit: With a tie patterned with the logos on his Stand.
* BarredFromTheAfterlife: ''Dead Man's Questions'' shows that [[spoiler:after his defeat and posterior death at the hands of the Ghost Alley's victims, he wanders as a revenant in Morioh, having lost Killer Queen, but can't go to either heaven or hell]].
%% Please, don't add BlondGuyrAreEvil. It is no more a trope.
* BlueAndOrangeMorality: Subtle, but it's there. Kira acknowledges that what he's doing is wrong several times in the story... but rather than seeing it as an evil act, he sees it as a bad habit, like being an alcoholic. It's also noteworthy that he legitimately loves his father, and later when [[spoiler: he's disguised as Kosaku, he begins to care for Shinobu and off-the-bat treats her better than Kousaku ever did.]]
* BornLucky: Kira often finds himself on the end of much good fortune and lucky coincidences that help his plans. At one point even boasts of having fate on his side. [[spoiler:Ironically, this plays heavily into his defeat, as it is his boasting of this that alarms Josuke of his true identity, and later he is run over by an ambulance that was called to help him, by chance]]. See also MeaningfulName.
* [[CelibateHero Celibate Villain]]: Played with. Although Kira is actually well-liked, he's almost asexual due to finding dates boring and usually wanting to go home if stuck in one. On one hand (no pun intended), he's only attached to hands. On the other, the very first thing he did when he took over Kosaku's life is ''make dinner'' after ignoring Shinobu's scolding and then continued to ignore her beliefs that something was up because this had never happened before, then manages to somehow ignore Shinobu's obvious crush for the rest of the story until [[spoiler: gaining Bites the Dust]].
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: He saves his nail clippings and only kills during years where his nails grow especially quickly. And he "dates" severed hands... hey, he's a serial killer.
* ContrastingSequelAntagonist: Kira is the black sheep among the villains for many traits that wouldn't be utilized again until [[Characters/JoJosBizarreAdventurePart6 Part 6]]: quiet, subdued, dressed moderately, his voice is almost always flat, and when provoked he still keeps his head for a large part of his appearance. He also holds a job anyone could get, had a relatively normal childhood, and above all really is someone you could meet on the street. He's also the only main villain to not only try and avoid fighting (as his first plans for [[spoiler: Shigechi]] were to completely ignore him and just grab the bag and run) but also lacks any kind of grandiose plan and simply continued the plot by surviving. He appears mid-way through the story and starts the plot himself and, interestingly, [[UnusuallyUninterestingSight never once looked into what Stands were]] [[HowDoIShotWeb and just assumed he had some kind of special power]]. Furthermore, compared to Dio and Kars, Kira had neither any comrades he recruited himself and upon showing even the slightest bit of care for someone he immediately brushed it off as being a result of wanting to seem "normal".
* CreepyChild[=/=]EnfantTerrible: He is a serial killer that started when he was just out of high school, but had urges to kill earlier than that.
* CreepyMonotone: What makes him creepier than Dio is that he's not very hammy, having a normal tone to not stand out.
* DeathByIrony: The man who claimed that luck is always by his side [[spoiler:gets [[DeathByAmbulance run over by an ambulance]] that was called to help him, by chance]].
* DissonantSerenity: The father-son speech with Hayato, especially since he's much calmer than he usually is.
* DramaticIrony: All he wants is to live, in his words, a "Quiet Life", with his "girlfriends". [[spoiler: Once he takes over Kosaku's identity, he gets exactly that with a family and son, but quickly reverts to his old ways. This ends up leading to his defeat.]]
* DubNameChange: ''All-Star Battle'' turns Killer Queen into Deadly Queen, while Sheer Heart Attack is shortened to Heart Attack. Surprisingly, Bites the Dust is unchanged; even though it's only part of a song title, that reasoning didn't stop a number of other name changes.
* EarlyBirdCameo: Make few cameo (most, only his hands) in the anime before his introduction.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: Based on Yoshihiro's protective nature, it can be assumed that Yoshikage's feelings are mutual. He's also surprisingly protective of [[spoiler:Shinobu]], who claims that [[spoiler:he was a better spouse than the original Kosaku]].
* EvilGenius: Even without taking into account his deadly cunning, he's shown himself to be extremely good at performing advanced mathematical equations in his head, [[spoiler:which comes in handy for him when he uses it to weaponize Stray Cat's air bubbles]].
* FaceFramedInShadow: Frequently in the anime, often to highlight his sinister nature.
* FailedASpotCheck: On two occasions. After he is injured and asks [[spoiler: Josuke to fix him despite his supposed ignorance of stands]], and when [[spoiler: Hayato deduces his identity.]]
* FateWorseThanDeath: Heavily implied at the end of Part 4 when he's [[spoiler:grabbed by hellish-looking hands in the border to the afterlife]]. The spinoff ''Dead Man's Question'' shows that [[spoiler:he got away from that, but at the expense of losing Killer Queen]].
* {{Fetish}}: He has an erotic fascination with hands despite being almost completely asexual otherwise, hence why he kills women and keeps their hands as "girlfriends". He reveals that he first discovered his fixation on hands when he saw the painting of the Mona Lisa and her hands aroused him.
* FightingSpirit[=/=]WeirdnessMagnet: Interestingly, despite having Killer Queen for more than decade, his first reaction to seeing Harvest was "What in the world is this!?" because Kira had ''never heard of the concept of Stands before''.
* {{Fingore}}: A rather disgusting character tic of his is whenever he's at his most desperate, he tends to bite his fingernails until they ''bleed''. This tic existed since his childhood.
* ForTheEvulz: Unlike the other {{Big Bad}}s, who had ulterior motives behind their [[KickTheDog dog-kicking]], Kira has no motivation for murder other than him liking it.
* GhostAmnesia: In ''Dead Man's Question''. He can remember his name, but nothing else.
* GroundhogDayLoop: When pierced by [[spoiler:his father's Arrow]], he gains an ability called [[spoiler:"Bites the Dust"]], which allows him to create brief versions of this. [[spoiler:He can even control whether or not they elapse... and even if they DON'T repeat, whomever he killed to start one ''will'' die anyway, as long as he doesn't retract his Stand beforehand...]]
* HavingABlast[=/=] StuffBlowingUp: Killer Queen has the ability to imbue things with explosive energy. Whenever someone touches the imbued thing...'''BOOM'''. Not the object, by the way, but ''the person''. He can also directly make people explode, and because it's a Stand, no one hears it. Plus, his secondary ability, Sheer Heart Attack, allows him to launch an autonomous, indestructible, heatseeking bomb from the Stand's main body.
* HiddenDepths: During his bout with Stray Cat, he protects his "wife" Shinobu and experiences a sense of protectiveness, much to his confusion. While he tries to dismiss his feelings as simply being a desire to protect his identity, this is possibly the closest thing Kira has to a redeeming factor after being portrayed as a completely ruthless serial killer throughout the story.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: Has had his Stand's abilities used against him more than any major villain's. He was forced to turn his Primary Bomb against himself [[spoiler:during his fight against Stray Cat]], had his left hand drastically increase in weight when [[spoiler:Sheer Heart Attack was disabled by Echoes Act 3]], was prevented from punching Hayato by [[spoiler:Bites the Dust]], and accidentally [[spoiler:disintegrated his own father with his remote-controlled air bombs.]]
* IcyBlueEyes: Shown to great effect during his Great Heat Attack in ''[[VideoGame/JojosBizarreAdventureAllStarBattle All-Star Battle]]''.
* IJustWantToBeNormal: Though his definition of "normal" is "live without anything obstructing his rituals". He wants his life to be predictable... by him and Yoshihiro's standards, at least.
* [[IronicHell Ironic Drag To Hell]]: [[spoiler:Kira is dragged off to hell by hundreds of hands.]]
* ImplacableMan: Sheer Heart Attack is completely indestructible and will track the hottest target it can find. That said, it knows when it blows up a human and when it doesn't.
* InTheBlood: There is evidence that he inherited his malignant soul from his father.
* KickTheDog: [[spoiler:Turning Hayato into a literal TykeBomb]] in order to keep his identity secret.
* KnightOfCerebus: While many of the villains in ''Part 4'' were definitely horrible people, they usually had a few humorous quirks. Kira, on the other hand, has an air of creepiness about him starting from his first appearance, and his mannerisms are just downright disturbing. He further cements this trope when [[spoiler:he murders Shigechi after four long chapters of trying to comically steal his "girlfriend" back]], averting the normal standard of the other arcs in Part 4 having a mixture of comedy and seriousness but being mostly harmless in the end.
* {{Leitmotif}}: A chilling, subdued piano piece in the 2016 anime adaptation.
* ALoveToDismember: Erotic fascination with women's hands, absolutely no use for the rest of the woman's body. Take it from there...
* LudicrousGibs: Hard subversion, though, as Killer Queen is made to erase evidence. In fact, Kira's so skilled in this ability, he can cause Killer Queen to erase everything but certain parts of the human body.
* MadBomber: There's definitely something horribly wrong with his thought process.
%%* ManInWhite: Assuming ''All-Star Battle'' is using the canon colors, this trope applies.
* MadeOfExplodium: Killer Queen's primary power is to be able to make anything explode at his command.
* MadeOfIron: Sheer Heart Attack forces Jotaro to go all out, and even he fails to destroy it. Koichi's Echoes, while upgraded, can only slow it down. [[HumiliationConga Kira, on the other hand....]]
* MeaningfulName[=/=]NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast: "Yoshikage" means "lucky shadow", and he's a serial killer named "Kira," predating ''Manga/DeathNote''. Maybe this is part of why Light was unimpressed with his fans' nickname for him -- it was unoriginal.
* MrFanservice: As Kosaku he get a ShowerScene where is totally naked.
* MultiColoredHair: [[spoiler:Gains this along with "Bite The Dust" once he's hit by the Stand Arrow again.]]
* NiceHat: Sports a bowler hat in ''Dead Man's Question''.
* NotSoHarmless: His first interactions with the protagonists is trying to comically get back the hand of his latest victim. [[spoiler:He then kills Shigechi with his Stand effortlessly]].
* PersonalityPowers: Kira's Stand seems to be born out of his will to leave absolutely no evidence behind, hence the fiery explosions, with its gladiator garb and physique reflecting his obsession with physical fitness. [[spoiler: Kira's 3rd manifestation of his stand power Bites the Dust is born from his sheer desperation to not get caught after killing Hayato when he lost his temper. As it not only prevents Hayato from ever telling anybody about Kira in any way; but it also resets time to before Kira killed Hayato.]]
* ProperlyParanoid: Due to his irrational paranoia, Kira is extremely savvy of the kind of mistakes that usually get [[SerialKiller serial killers]] caught. His preparations to counter everything are done so well, that only [[PrideBeforeAFall his arrogance]] manages to undo his plans.
* RealMenCook: He's shown multiple times to be a fairly talented cook, in contrast to [[spoiler: Kosaku Kawajiri]]. The first thing he does after [[spoiler: taking over Kawajiri's life]] is make a delicious dinner, which leaves Shinobu incredulous.
--> '''Shinobu''': "Since when do you cook? Since when '''can''' you cook?!"
* RedRightHand: His fingernails grow unnaturally fast. They seem to be growing faster when he's thinking about killing, too. A more straightforward example is Sheer Heart Attack, a self-operating bomb that's directly attached to Killer Queen's left hand.
* SelfMadeOrphan: Thanks to Josuke's trickery during the final battle.
* SerialKiller: One that kills women for their hands, which he has a strange fetish for (he thinks of the hands as his "girlfriends" and he seems to show no interest in the rest of the body). He is all the more dangerous because his ability leaves no evidence and he tries to keep a low profile (killing anyone who comes in between him and the normal life he wants to live).
* TheSociopath: Despite his AffablyEvil nature, Kira stands out as one of the more depraved villains in the series. The ways he murders his victims are anything but pretty, his paranoia is off the charts, and he proves to be [[spoiler:a [[WouldHurtAChild physically]] ''and'' mentally abusive parent]]. Worst of all, he has no justification for his crimes. He knows murder is bad, but he brushes it off as an [[ForTheEvulz addi]][[ItAmusedMe ction]].
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Official art books and the like commonly list his name as "Yoshikage Kill·A". ''All-Star Battle'' plays with this by naming [[spoiler:Kosaku Kawajiri's]] theme "KILL-A".
* SuperOCD: The reason why he's so obsessed with having a normal, predictable life. He even delays finishing off Koichi after noticing that his sock was inside out, and couldn't concentrate until he put his sock and shoe back on right, despite knowing that Josuke would be arriving to help in less than a minute.
* SuperpowerLottery: Killer Queen winds up having access to [[spoiler:four]] dangerous abilities in addition to its formidable combat prowess. Three of these abilities (Killer Queen, Sheer Heart Attack, and [[spoiler: Bites The Dust]]) are native to him and either are his Stand or could be considered Stands in their own rights, while Stray Cat is a completely separate Stand that he is able to utilize.
* TongueTied: [[spoiler:Bites The Dust]] can turn any {{Muggle}} who knows Kira's secret identity into [[spoiler:a carrier of a miniature Killer Queen]]. If anyone tries to interrogate them about Kira, [[spoiler:Bites the Dust]] will cause an internal explosion that destroys the interrogator, then causes a repeating temporal time loop that only ends when Kira lets time resume normally or retracts [[spoiler:Bites the Dust]] to defend himself.
* UnwantedSpouse: '''Subverted''', believe it or not, and subverted hard. ''Kosaku'' was this, having married Shinobu only because they had a kid and then somehow surviving so many years married to her in a dead-end job. Kira, on the other hand, not only repaired the marriage between Shinobu and Kosaku by taking the latter's position, but he officially starts it by doing something so stupidly illegal in order to save himself, he charms and wins over Shinobu's heart. By the time Stray Cat happens, Shinobu is so completely in love with Kira, she's making up excuses to fling herself at him.
* WouldHurtAChild: Kills [[spoiler:Shigechi and even almost successfully kills his other host body's son]] ... just because they somehow know that he's a murderer.

! Anjuro "Angelo" Katagiri (Stand: Aqua Necklace)
-> Voiced by: Creator/KenjiHamada (TV anime)
-> Played by: Takayuki Yamada (live-action movie)

A serial murderer and the first villain of the story. Carries the Stand Aqua Necklace, who can travel through any liquid body and kill people from their insides.
* AndIMustScream: [[spoiler:His fate after Josuke ''melds him into a boulder.'' Although it's probably more a scream of fury than a scream of agony that's building up in him.]]
* CatchPhrase: Likes to tell his opponents not to get cocky.
* DepravedBisexual: His crimes include raping women and a trio of 14-year old boys (though seeing as they were underage, he could be straight but with pedophilic urges).
* DisproportionateRetribution[=/=]EvilIsPetty: His habit of holding deep grudges over minor transgressions and his extremely good memory makes him a terrifying criminal.
* FateWorseThanDeath: [[spoiler: Deliberately inflicted on him by Josuke. Having been cornered by Jotaro and Josuke he tried to save his skin by saying that [[IfYouKillHimYouWillBeJustLikeHim if Josuke kills him, he will become a murderer like him]]. Josuke answers by pummeling him and the rock behind him with Crazy Diamond before reforming the rock and fusing it to Angelo, transforming him into a living statue and eventual city landmark. Angelo proceeds to make his situation worse by not only trying to take nearby boy hostage with his power, but also [[BerserkButton insulting Josuke's hair]]. This prompts Josuke to beat him even more, reforming him into grotesque statue that only vaguely resembles his face and that can't even talk like his previous state. Given Angelo's track record, that fate is very fitting.]]
* FightingSpirit[=/=]WeirdnessMagnet
* {{Jerkass}}: Angelo is cruel, depraved, and petty. He revels in hurting others and toying with them all while he lines up the killing blow.
* KidsAreCruel: Everything mentioned in his SerialKiller entry started when he was 12.
* MakingASplash: Aqua Necklace's power is a lot like [[Characters/JoJosBizarreAdventurePart3 N'Dour's Geb]]. The main difference is that while Aqua Necklace can't control as much fluid as Geb could at a time, it's a lot more precise, and can even control water vapor.
* PragmaticVillainy: While he's still twisted enough that [[DisproportionateRetribution he doesn't give the appropriate response]], he apparently doesn't tolerate people doing things like carelessly leaving dog poop or cigarette butts on the ground.
* RapeIsASpecialKindOfEvil: Angelo is also a pervert, guilty of raping three young boys and planning to rape Tomoko Higashikata.
* SerialKiller: A very depraved one; his background is that he kills little boys and rapes them. Notably, one of his worst acts is nailing one unlucky victim's body parts to a wall.
* TheSociopath: Arguably even more depraved than ''Dio.''
* StalkerWithoutACrush: He obsessively stalks Josuke for several days, [[EvilIsPetty just because the kid stopped his puppet's robbery]] Having a Stand like him might have something to do with it though.
* StarterVillain: The early antagonist of Josuke. Jotaro's interest and build up of his character makes him seem like a DiscOneFinalBoss, but it turns out he was a PsychoForHire for Keicho.
* TheManTheyCouldntHang: He survives his hanging and leaves prison, probably thanks to his Stand.
* TokenMotivationalNemesis: He kills Josuke's grandfather, who happened to be the same officer that arrested him years ago.
* VillainsWantMercy: When cornered by Josuke and Jotaro he tries to convince them that they don't have the right to kill him despite him both murdering Josuke's grandfather and being an escaped DeathRow inmate, even invoking IfYouKillHimYouWillBeJustLikeHim. [[spoiler: Unfortunately for him, [[FateWorseThanDeath Josuke isn't planning on]] [[AndIMustScream killing him.]]]]

! Keicho Nijimura (Stand: Bad Company)
-> Voiced by: Creator/TomoyukiShimura (TV anime)
-> Played by: Masaki Okada (live-action movie)

Brother of Okuyasu Nijimura and wielder of the Stand Bad Company, an army of miniature soldiers, toy-sized helicopters, and tanks who deal a lot of damage.
* AloofBigBrother: Keicho tends to look down on his brother for his lack of ability to think; but despite this, [[spoiler: he sacrifices himself to save his brother from Red Hot Chili Pepper's attack.]]
* BigBrotherBully: Puts Okuyasu down a lot, like his father used to. To the point where it's unclear whether Okuyasu is really as dumb as he says he is, [[AlternateCharacterInterpretation or if he's belittling himself out of habit, because he's so used to his father and brother doing it]].
* DiscOneFinalBoss: TheManBehindTheMan of Angelo.
* DroppedABridgeOnHim: Keicho was actually doing pretty well even after [[spoiler:Josuke defeated him. Then Red Hot Chili Pepper drags him and his Arrow through a power line. This happens to leave the carried things intact, but still kills living things in the process.]]
* DubNameChange: To Worse Company in the Crunchyroll subs.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: Less evil than typical villains in the series though. And he seems like he wants to [[spoiler:kill his hideously-mutated father]] out of compassion (though it could just be disgust instead).
* FightingSpirit[=/=]WeirdnessMagnet
* FoolishSiblingResponsibleSibling: Compared to his brother Okuyasu, Keicho is more rational and calm.
* GreaterScopeVillain: For the entire first half of Part 4. Aside from two random rats, he was the one that gave Stands to much of Morioh in pursuit of his goals.
* HeroicSacrifice: [[spoiler: Spares Okuyasu a ''brutal'' death at the hands of Red Hot Chili Pepper in similar fashion to Avdol's shoving off Polnareff and Iggy from Cream's path, even if he was a little bit of a dick about it.]]
* KarmicDeath: In his pursuit of creating a Stand user to kill his father, he is killed by [[spoiler:one of the people he turned into a Stand user in the first place. Even his brother Okuyasu knew he had it coming.]]
* LackOfEmpathy: He feels no remorse for injuring people with the Bow and Arrow or the consequences using the Bow and Arrow could have, such as with Angelo.
* MercyKill: His grand plan [[spoiler:is to create a stand user capable of killing his mutated father]]. The man's current state genuinely disturbs Keicho and be it out of compassion or disgust, he feels that killing the man would be an end to the pitiable affair.
* TheMinionMaster: His Stand, Bad Company, is a battalion of toy-sized army men. [[DeathByAThousandCuts All of their projectiles do very real damage.]] [[OhCrap And his army includes tanks and helicopters...]]
* MoralEventHorizon: [[invoked]] Believes he crossed it a long time ago, which is why he refuses to make a HeelFaceTurn.
* RedemptionEqualsDeath: [[spoiler: Whilst his redemption is debated in universe, Keicho spends his last moments faltering on his brutal ideology after being reasoned with by Josuke, and he performs a HeroicSacrifice to save his brother.]] His cameo in the anime's third opening adds to this as he's [[spoiler:alongside Shigechi, Reimi, Arnold, and Dr. Aya, all of whom are heroic characters who've been killed]].
* TheSocialDarwinist: He states that people who don't grow don't deserve to live.
* {{Synchronization}}: Notable for its partial ''aversion'' of the long-time Stand rule that harming a stand will harm the user. In Keicho's case, he only cares about the destruction of a few soldiers because it temporarily screwed up his army's formation.
* StealthPun: His Stand's name was changed to Worse Company in the subbed version of the anime, which means that it went FromBadToWorse.
* NotTooDeadToSaveTheDay: It's implied by Okuyasu, who was previously hit by an air bomb, that his spirit may have saved his life by having him decide where he wanted to go: If he really wanted to be with him or go back to Morioh. Okuyasu decided to go back [[BigDamnHeroes and ended up saving Josuke in the nick of time]].
* UsedToBeASweetKid: The flashbacks to when Keicho was young show him as being much more compassionate and adorable. He reacts angrily toward his father's abuse of Okuyasu, and was a lot more protective of him than in the present.

! Akira Otoishi (Stand: Red Hot Chili Pepper)
-> Voiced by: Creator/ShowtaroMorikubo (TV anime, ''All-Star Battle'', ''Eyes of Heaven'')

A rock guitarist who wants to chase Jotaro out of Morioh and later tries to kill Joseph as he fears that Joseph's Hermit Purple might reveal his identity. He wields the stand Red Hot Chili Pepper, who can travel through (and use) electricity.
* BadassBoast: Said he could beat Josuke with his pinky finger.
* BreakoutVillain: A minor villain in the series who made it into ''VideoGame/JojosBizarreAdventureAllStarBattle'' as a playable character.
* CallBack[=/=]MythologyGag: His Stand is one to [[Characters/JoJosBizarreAdventurePart2 Esidisi]], one of the Pillar Men who utilizes red hot blood as his weapon. Red Hot Chili Pepper uses electrical currents to travel and attack.
* ConfessToALesserCrime: [[spoiler:He gets 3 years for burglary of five million dollars worth of goods, after he murdered Keicho and attempted to murder Joseph. Granted, Keicho wasn't a very good guy either and nobody can actually reveal the details of Keicho's murder without [[BrokenMasquerade having to explain the complicated nature of Stands]]. Akira prefers the jailtime anyways, as he's absolutely terrified of what Jotaro and Okuyasu would do if they caught him again]].
* {{Determinator}}
* DiscOneFinalBoss: In the first third of Part 4, the story focuses on trying to get revenge on Red Hot Chili Pepper for killing Okuyasu's older brother. But he turns out to be far too dim-witted and easily beaten for a [=JoJo=] BigBad.
* DubNameChange: The English version of ''All-Star Battle'' drops the "Red Hot" from his Stand's name to avoid copyright issues.
* FightingSpirit[=/=]WeirdnessMagnet
* GamebreakingInjury: Akira himself makes it out of his fight okay, but [[spoiler:Red Hot Chili Pepper is permamently maimed to such a degree that Jotaro no longer sees him as much of a threat.]]
* GlorySeeker: He is dedicated to his craft as a musician; wishing also for recognition or fame as a Rock star. After he is released from prison, he continues to pursue this goal.
* GoodScarsEvilScars: Has a lightning-bolt-shaped scar crosses the left of his face vertically, from his forehead over his left eye to his jaw.
* ItsAllAboutMe: Akira is highly self-centered.
* {{Jerkass}}
* TheKnightsWhoSaySquee: A Stand user himself, he is a fan of Rohan Kishibe's works. In ''Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe: Mutsukabezaka'', he receives an autograph made of coffee in a paper sheet.
* LargeHam
* LogicalWeakness: Being an electric being, Chili Pepper possess the familiar weaknesses
** Water. After his fight with Josuke & Crazy Diamond, Red Hot Chili Pepper was thrown into the ocean, dispersing its electrical power as well as its body.
** PlayedWith in regards to Rubber. During his fight with Josuke, Chili Pepper is trapped within a rebuilt rubber tire and thus the insulation prevented him from using his electricity. However Chili Pepper is still a physical being with a decent amount of strength so he just punches through it.
* MeaningfulName: "Otoishi" means "sound rock".
* PsychoElectro: His electric stand reflect his psychotic personality.
* SmugSuper
* ShockAndAwe: Red Hot Chili Pepper is capable of absorbing electricity to use as energy for a number of things, including increasing its raw strength, movement, healing its wounds, levitating, and covering itself in an electric coat. We're talking about a Stand that can manipulate ''the entire power grid of Morioh.''
** However, this strength also limits the Stand's range, as it must remain near power to avoid depleting all of its strength.
* TeleportersAndTransporters: Red Hot Chili Pepper can pass through electrical systems, including power wires or batteries, at light speed.
* UnderestimatingBadassery: While Akira fears Jotaro's power, he undestimated both Okuyasu and Josuke. Okuyasu nearly defeated him and Red Hot Chili Pepper escaped only thanks to his manipulation and Okuyasu's impulsiveness. When Akira personally showed up to kill Joseph, he believed Josuke to be an easy match, underestimating the youth, which lead him to his defeat.
* WeaponizedTeleportation: Being dragged through a high-voltage line by Red Hot Chili Pepper is pretty lethal.
* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: Akira has long purple hair.

! "Bug-eaten" and an unnamed rat (Stand: Ratt)

Two rats who were pierced with the Stand arrow, granting them both the stand Ratt. Jotaro nicknames one of them "Bug-eaten" due to one of its ears having a large chunk missing. Ratt resembles a small turret-like robot and fires toxic barbs, which melt anything they hit into a sort of blood gelatin for the rats to eat later.
* AmplifiedAnimalAptitude: They're very skilled tacticians.
* BodyHorror: Ratt can fire off barbed bullets, which will melt anything upon impact for it to be formed like gelatin or clay. This is very painful and would often lead to the death of one who falls victim to the bullets.
* ColdSniper: Despite Ratt being a turret, Bug-Eaten uses it for sniping instead of static defense.
* ExactlyWhatIAimedAt: Bug-Eaten is on both the giving and receiving end:
** When Jotaro begins using Star Platinum to dodge Ratt's fire, Bug-Eaten starts leading his shots, at one point aiming at a rock so that the ricochet hits Jotaro.
** Later, Josuke uses one of the bullets to hit the rock Bug-Eaten was hiding behind to draw him out of cover, setting him up for a kill-shot.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: A ''very'' minor example, but Bug-Eaten uses one of the rat traps Josuke planted earlier against him to expose him for a neck shot.
* MundaneUtility: Ratt's bullets turn whatever creatures they hit into a gelatin-like consistency, typically killing them in the process. What do Bug-Eaten and the other rat use this for? Expanding their territory and collecting food, essentially what they would be doing as normal rats, only now with freaky psychic powers.
* NoNameGiven: Jotaro made up "Bug-eaten"'s name. If it has a real one, it never gets revealed, unlike the Stand-using animals from part three. The other rat is never given a name at all.
* UpliftedAnimal: Like all Stand-using animals in the series, gaining a Stand granted them both human intelligence. In their case, they're skilled tacticians who keep Jotaro and Josuke on their toes during their confrontation.
* WeirdnessMagnet
* YouDirtyRat: Bug-Eaten is aggressive and cunning, being on the offensive against Jotaro and Josuke.

! Yoshihiro Kira (Stand: Atom Heart Father)
-> Voiced by: Creator/ShigeruChiba (TV anime), Creator/BinShimada (''All-Star Battle'')

Yoshikage's father, dead before the story starts but living as a ghost in the Kira estate thanks to his Stand, Atom Heart Father, which also allows him to bind himself to photographs.
* DeathByIrony: In the final battle, [[spoiler:he gets killed (definitively) by one of Killer Queen's air bombs. More specifically, during the fight, Yoshihiro flits about in secret to communicate to Kira how to direct Killer Queen's incendiary bombs. Unfortunately for him, Josuke realizes this, and so is able to bait Kira into detonating a bomb right next to Yoshihiro's photograph, causing him to cease to exist as the photograph burns up.]].
* DotingParent: A villainous example; even after death, he continues to enable his son's criminal lifestyle.
* TheDragon: To his son, Yoshikage. He is extremely devoted to him and takes supporting him and his ambitions to the extreme, even going as far as to protect his son's serial killer lifestyle.
* DubNameChange: Atom Heart Father is shortened to Heart Father in the English version of ''All-Star Battle'' and the Crunchyroll subs.
* EvilCounterpart: Arguably to Reimi. Both of them being ghosts who are the driving forces for their respective sides in deciding his son's fate. Reimi brings the heroes together to help her catch him, while Yoshihiro creates Stand Users with the Arrow to attack the heroes in order to protect him.
* EvilOldFolks: He has the appearance of a lightly-built, balding old man.
* GreaterScopeVillain: For the second half of Part 4, and possibly all of it to a lesser extent. Enya and Dio, who didn't give a Bow and Arrow to just anyone, entrusted ''him'' with the one that gave himself and Yoshikage ([[MyFriendsAndZoidberg and eventually some other characters]]) their Stands. Plus [[BigBad Yoshikage]] is ''his'' son, after all, and with Atom Heart Father, he could be one of the many reasons those murders stayed a secret for so long.
* HeartIsAnAwesomePower: Think Atom Heart Father sounds weak? He came within inches of killing both Jotaro and Josuke. It's because any person in a photo with him in it is bound by the area that the photo covers, and whatever Yoshihiro does to the people in the image will happen to the actual people, without any way to stop it. The only way to defeat this is to [[spoiler:take another photograph that makes him the only feature]]. And even when his stand's main power is defeated, it still allows him an extreme amount of autonomy since he's still able to manipulate the photo itself and interact with the outside world.
* TheHeavy: Nearly every Stand that was introduced after Atom Heart Father was due to Yoshihiro personally shooting their users with the Bow and Arrow. [[spoiler:Including Kira's Bites The Dust.]]
* ManipulativeBastard: It is not difficult for him fool Okuyasu, making him believe that he was escaped from the photo where Jotaro, previously, had trapped him.
* MoralMyopia: He stands fast by the idea that he should support his son's desires. Even when that son, as early as his teens, had an unstoppable need [[ALoveToDismember kill women and take their hands for his own.]]
* OurGhostsAreDifferent: The only reason he's sticking around is because his Stand binds his soul to photographs.
* PapaWolf: He ''will'' kill you horribly if you threaten Yoshikage's peace of mind.
* RealityChangingMiniature: He became bound to a photograph through his Stand after death. Now, courtesy Atom Heart Father, he can manipulate the area depicted in whichever photo he's bound to. Whatever he does in the photo, happens in the actual place, and he can even trap anyone who's there. He came within ''centimeters'' of killing Josuke and Jotaro. All that stopped him was [[spoiler:Jotaro taking another photograph of the photo - making sure to put ''only'' Yoshihiro in it, thus trapping Yoshihiro in an otherwise-empty picture.]]

! Ken Oyanagi (Stand: Boy II Man)
-> Voiced by: Creator/ChikaSakamoto (TV Anime), Miho Hino (''All-Star Battle'')

Also called "the RockPaperScissors kid". A young admirer of Rohan Kishibe who also wants to challenge him to a RPS duel. He wields the Stand Boy II Man, who can drain the energy of another Stand user by playing a Rock Paper Scissors game and winning it.
* AbsurdlyHighStakesGame: Boy II Man creates an insanely one-sided one with an opponent. If they lose, their Stands are forfeit. Oyanagi on the other hand risks nothing when he plays.
* AdaptationDyeJob: Has brown hair in the manga, but the anime gives him white hair instead.
* BetterToDieThanBeKilled: After losing, he throws himself into the way of a truck to avoid having his powers locked by Rohan. Impressed, Rohan jumps along and the truck [[BornLucky misses them both by chance.]]
* BodyHorror: See that noticeable dark spot on his left cheek? That's not a mole, that's actually a ''hole'' (courtesy of Yoshihiro Kira's Bow and Arrow). It can even ''suck in Stands''.
* BrattyHalfPint
* CreepyChild: It's bad enough that this kid stalks Rohan to challenge him to Rock Paper Scissors matches, but then it turns out those matches have Rohan's life energy at stake.
* DubNameChange: Boy II Man is renamed [=BoyManMan=] in the English version of ''All-Star Battle''.
* FightingSpirit[=/=]WeirdnessMagnet
* MagicAIsMagicA: There are some rules to the usage of Boy II Man. It can only play 5 matches, take portions of the energy in thirds, and if it loses, he must return the energy. Perhaps its greatest weakness is that it can neither detect nor punish cheating.
* PeoplePuppets: Boy II Man has limited control over his opponent's Stand, allowing him to control the area corresponding to the energy he drained in the Rock Paper Scissors game, as shown when he makes Rohan punch himself after taking the right arm of Heaven's Door.
* PowerParasite: Boy II Man could drain the energy of another Stand user by playing a Rock Paper Scissors game and winning it allowing the possibility of use his power. However, as explained above, they are strict rules to how this is played.
* RockPaperScissors: Yes, Boy II Man uses that as its modus operandi. He can compel someone to play a 3-of-5 match with him. That's it... until he wins. If he ever gets to finish a match and win, ''he'll permanently hijack the loser's Stand''.
* TheFatalist: Really obsesses over the power of luck until Rohan defeats him.
* WoundThatWillNotHeal: The hole in his cheek from Yoshihiro's arrow, like actual wounds of that nature, doesn't heal naturally.

! Gatta (Stand: Stray Cat)

Once a normal a cat (British Blue) living in the Kawajiri estate who hates Shinobu Kawajiri. He was hit with an Arrow, died, and got reborn with a new Stand, Stray Cat, attached to him. Stray Cat allows him to manipulate air and create air bubbles.
* AttentionDeficitOohShiny: Of the sort that afflicts most cats - Kira is able to distract him by giving him golf balls to play with.
* BerserkButton: Don't try to take away its sunlight. Also, don't be Shinobu Kawajiri (she was responsible for the cat dying).
* BlowYouAway: Stray Cat has the ability to manipulate air, capable of creating air bubbles strong enough to hold a person against a wall or enter their veins, blocking blood passage. This is due to its photosynthesis from being a plant; the stronger the light, the stronger the control Stray Cat has over the air.
* BubbleGun: His ability allows him to make bubbles.
* CatsAreMagic: Though it could be considered a subversion, since at this point in the series, there'd already been a magical orangutan, a magical dog, a magical falcon, and two magical rats, but what ''is'' magical about it is that it's a [[NinjaPirateZombieRobot plant with a cat's mind that can manipulate the air around it]].
* CatsAreMean: Gatta is stubborn, sticking to its territory in the cellar when Shinobu Kawajiri attempts to chase it out. After it is killed, it shows a desire for revenge, and attacks Shinobu when it sees her in the garden.
* CoolPet: Flower. With. A cat's brain. If you don't get why that's cool, ''you're reading the wrong manga''.
* DubNameChange: "Stray" becomes "Feral" for the English version of ''All-Star Battle''.
* EquippableAlly: After the effects of Bites the Dust are deactivated, Kira puts Stray Cat in the gap in Killer Queen's stomach and combines its abilities with his Stand's in order to create bombs from the balls of air manipulated by Stray Cat.
* EyesDoNotBelongThere: Its eyes are on the inside of its petals.
* HeartIsAnAwesomePower: It can manipulate air and make bubbles. Doesn't sound like much, but when those bubbles pop, they put out a ''lot'' of force. [[spoiler:And then it almost killed Kira by ''forcing an air bubble into his veins''. Oh, and Kira can turn those bubbles into bombs...]]
* HeelFaceTurn: [[spoiler:The epilogue of ''Part 4'' states that Okuyasu's dad adopted him as a pet]].
* KillerRabbit: He's a flower with the mind of a cat. ''[[spoiler:He almost killed Kosaku]]''.
* MadeOfExplodium: His bubbles become this after being taken by Kira.
* NotSoHarmlessVillain: He's just a plant with a cat's mind! How dangerous could he be? Answer: '''''Very'''''. And that's before Kira [[spoiler:realises that he can use him to make air bombs...]]
* {{Planimal}}: After being buried in their garden, its dormant Stand ability brings it back to life as a cat-like plant named Stray Cat.
* {{Reincarnation}}: Originally a cat hit with an Arrow; he died and got reborn with a new Stand, Stray Cat, attached to him becoming a living cat-plant.
* WhenTreesAttack

! Toyohiro Kanedaichi (Stand: Superfly)

A hermit living a lonesome life in an old, retired telephone tower. The tower itself wields the Stand Superfly, a completely autonomous Stand which restrains the user's freedom by keeping it within its reach.
* AndIMustScream: Trapped inside a transmission tower for the rest of his life, unless he can get someone else to take his place. [[spoiler:Eventually he becomes okay with his fate, though.]] Attempting to leave the tower may be even more so, as doing so causes Superfly to turn its captive into a part of the tower itself, a humanoid mass of metal.
* AntiVillain: All he wants is to escape from Superfly. Even as he plans to leave Josuke trapped in it, he offers up some advice on how to get out, like getting his friends to help him swap places with a criminal. He doesn't actually try to kill Josuke until he gets too stubborn in trying to force him back in. [[spoiler: In the end, he reveals that he's been stuck for so long that part of him didn't actually ''want'' to leave, and he eventually agrees to stay behind.]]
* BlessedWithSuck: His Stand proves to be more of a hindrance to him than beneficial. Later subverted when he adjusts to living in it.
* CallBack[=/=]MythologyGag: To [[Characters/JoJosBizarreAdventurePart3 Gray Fly]], and old man that uses an insect as a stand named "Tower of Gray". Comparing it to Kanedachi who uses an tower named after an insect...
* CharlesAtlasSuperpower: He's rather athletic because of his unusual living conditions.
* GeniusLoci: His Stand is bound to the telephone tower he lives in. While it's great that it attacks autonomously, [[PossessiveParadise it also really hates when people try to leave it, user included.]]
* {{Gonk}}: [[spoiler: Once it's revealed that he wears a mask, it starts looking more and more like this as the fight goes on, though what he actually looks like under the mask is never revealed.]]
* HeelFaceTurn: [[spoiler:Is convinced by Josuke to let him go, and stays in the tower. He ends up becoming a landmark in Morioh and enjoys a small amount of fame with curious tourists]].
* LatexPerfection
* NotGoodWithPeople
* TheTower: He was actually trapped within his transmission tower by his own stand Superfly.
* WeirdnessMagnet

! Terunosuke Miyamoto (Stand: Enigma)
-> Voiced by: Makoto Naruse (''All-Star Battle'')

A man obsessed with fear. Wields the Stand Enigma, which can turn people and objects into paper sheets by tricking them in order for them to show their CharacterTics.
* AndIMustScream / FateWorseThanDeath: [[spoiler:Josuke binds him into a ''spiral-bound book'' in order to put an end to Enigma's threat. However, a legend develops that the Miyamoto book can be heard whispering, so it might not completely apply. Like Angelo, he now live into an object forever!]]
* DarkSkinnedBlonde: He has skin of medium tone, light eyes and light hair in a criss-cross on his crown.
* DubNameChange: Enigma to Misterioso in the English version of ''All-Star Battle''.
* FightingSpirit[=/=]WeirdnessMagnet
* {{Hammerspace}}: Enigma can give paper this property.
* IKnowWhatYouFear: Enigma can trap a living person inside paper too, as long as Terunosuke knows what CharacterTics to look for in each person.
* IronicEcho: His power to trap people requires him to predict a person's CharacterTics when they're afraid. [[spoiler: Josuke does the exact same thing just before inflicting a FateWorseThanDeath on him.]]
* {{Jerkass}}: Deeply enjoys scaring people, and does so far beyond what he needs to utilize Enigma.

! Masazo Kinoto (Stand: Cheap Trick)

A quiet and timid, yet greedy architect. Wields, although against his wishes, the Stand Cheap Trick, who acts by inflicting fear in its wielder saying that anyone who can see his back is bound to death.
* BodyHorror: Anyone who's had this Stand removed will have their back opened and die, as well as shrink down to a shriveled corpse the size of the palm of your hand.
* CallBack: To [[Characters/JoJosBizarreAdventurePart3 Anubis]] in part 3, as Cheap Trick cannot be controlled by its user and can find a new user to possess.
* DraggedOffToHell: Rohan specifically does this as a command for Cheap Trick.
* EnemyWithin: Kinoto wasn't strong-willed enough to control a Stand, so it manifested as an externalization of his own fears and went along with Yoshihiro Kira's plan to kill Rohan, knowing that it would kill its own User.
* FightingSpirit[=/=]WeirdnessMagnet
* NiceJobFixingItVillain: Overlaps with Yoshihiro Kira for creating Cheap Trick. Cheap Trick tried to get Rohan to burn the photos he had of Hayato following people with a Camcorder, confirming that Kira was one of the crowd people.
* {{Omniglot}}: Cheap Trick's voice can be heard and understood by anyone, even [[AnimalTalk animals]]; it uses this talent to insult anyone it can in order to get people (or dogs and cats) to attack its host.
* {{Synchronization}}: A rather interesting case in this series, as it essentially attaches and becomes a separate Stand to whoever sees the back of the previous person.
* VerbalTic: Cheap Trick tends to repeat or reaffirm everything it says. ("Burn the photos! Do it!")

! Kosaku Kawajiri

An anonymous salaryman.
* EeriePaleSkinnedBrunette
* ExtremeDoormat: From what we hear of him.
* InnocentBystander: He got the bad luck of crossing paths with [[spoiler:Kira]] while in Aya's workplace.
* PosthumousCharacter: [[spoiler: By possibly ''seconds'', but by the time he appears on-panel, he's already dead, and Kira has taken his face and fingerprints.]]

! Shinobu Kawajiri
-> Voiced by: Creator/YuShimamura

Kosaku Kawajiri's wife.
* AdaptationDyeJob: Brunette in the manga, but she becomes a redhead in the anime.
* AllGirlsWantBadBoys: Kira's actions when [[spoiler:disguised as her husband]] ignites romantic feelings in her.
* LockedOutOfTheLoop: She is the only named character who didn't know about [[spoiler:the murder of her husband and posthumous use as a disguise for Kira]].

! Kai Harada
-> Voiced by: Bucky Koba (TV anime)

Morioh's radio DJ. Apparently Okuyasu and Kira are fans, as they've both written into his program.
* CanonForeigner: He's original to the anime, and doesn't appear in the source material or any other adaptations. As a result, it's unclear whether he's friend or foe, or just how much about what's going on he actually knows...
* CozyVoiceForCatastrophes: Provides a calm, relaxing voice against all the sinister things happening in Morioh.
* {{Foreshadowing}}: A lot of what he says hints at future Stand users the heroes will fight.
* TheVoice: While several "Diamond is Unbreakable" episodes have opened with snippets of his program, Harada himself hasn't been seen on camera yet.
