[[folder: Sōten]]

Sister of Manten and Hiten. She challenges Shippo to a duel to avenge her brothers.

->Voiced by: Creator/YukoMizutani (JP), Creator/RebeccaShoichet (EN)

----
* ArchEnemy: To Shippo whom she thinks killed her brothers.
* BrattyHalfPint: She's no older then Shippo.
* CutenessProximity: Kagome has the reaction, twice. First, when she believes that Sōten is a small boy, and then when she learns that Sōten is a girl, stating that this revelation is even cuter.
* EasilyForgiven: While Shippo didn't kill her brothers as she'd thought, Inuyasha ''did.'' This doesn't seem to be a problem once her little spat with Shippo is resolved. Of course this may be due to the fact that she's far too weak to harm Inuyasha.
* HarmlessVillain: Nowhere near the level of her older brothers.
* RevengeByProxy: She knows that Inuyasha and Kagome played a role in her brothers' deaths, but she's aware she's no match for them, and thus settles for Shippo instead.
* SamusIsAGirl: Shippo and the others didn't know this until Kagome started hugging her.
* YouKilledMyFather: She mistakenly believes Shippo killed her brothers.
* VillainousCrush: She apparently develops a crush on Shippo after he gives her the crayons they were fighting over.

[[/folder]]

[[folder: Tōran]]

The leader of the Panther Devas and daughter of the Panther King who was the swore enemy of Inuyasha's father. She sets out to revive her father with her fellow siblings in the hope of conquering the land.

->Voiced by: Creator/YumiTouma (JP), Alison Matthew (EN), Patricia Hannidez (LA SP)

----

* AnIcePerson: Uses ice and freezing attacks
* DarkActionGirl
* DistaffCounterpart: Her personality and attitude are reminiscent of early-series Sesshōmaru.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: She genuinely loves her family and was distraught by their father sacrificing them to revive himself.
* HeelFaceTurn: [[spoiler: After seeing her father sacrifice his own family to revive himself. As well as Sesshōmaru, whom she's been mocking through the story arc, revive her siblings. She decides to call off the feud as there nothing to fight over anymore.]]
* JavelinThrower: Uses a long double-ended lance made of ice as a throwing weapon which covers everything with ice when it strikes.
* PointyEars: As with most human looking demons
* SmugSnake: Pretty much, mostly due to seeing Sesshomaru lacking an arm and Inuyasha and his father being dead while hers is just sealed away.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Panther Devas]]

Shunran, Karan, and Shūran. Tōran's siblings who command the remnants of the Panther Tribe.

->Voiced by: Shunran: Creator/YukiMasuda (JP), Jocelyne Lowen (EN), Gaby Ugarte (LA SP)\\
Karan: Yoko Teppozuka (JP), Maggie Blue O'Hara (EN), Mónica Villaseñor (LA SP)\\
Shuran: Creator/MasayaTakatsuka (JP), Scott Logie (EN), Alfonso Mellado (LA SP)

----

* TheBrute: Shūran is the largest, slowest and clumsiest of the group, his lightning being a merely offensive technique.
* ElementalPowers:
** PlayingWithFire: Karan employs fire and can either shoot fireballs or cover herself in fire.
** ShockAndAwe: Shūran can release powerful lightning from his hands.
* FieryRedhead: Karan has fire powers, red hair and is the most temperamental of the group.
* HairTriggerTemper: Karan has the worse temper of the four.
* HypocriticalHumor: Karan angrily complains when she and her clan members are called "cats" by Hachi and Shippo, only to call the latter "opossum".
* MasterOfIllusion: Shunran's powers over flowers allow her to create illusions.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: The Lord/Panther King]]

Leader of the Panther Tribe, slain by the Great Dog Youkai long ago, brought back as a mummified ghoul by sheer rancor. His servants are trying to resurrect him using the shards of the Shikon Jewel and mass sacrifice.

->Voiced by: Tadahisa Saizen (JP), Creator/ScottMcNeil (EN)

----

* AttackOfThe50FootWhatever: He's huge, though not at the extent of the Inu Daisho.
* BadBoss: When his followers (and relatives) fail to give him a sacrifice of blood and souls in time, he devours the souls of Karan, Shunran and Shuran to turn back into his true form.
* NoNameGiven: In the original dub he's only known as "Oyakata" (the Lord). The English dub gives him the title of Panther King.
* OhCrap: Panics when he realizes that the strength and living form he aquired are about to vanish.
* PantheraAwesome: Takes the form of a gigantic humanoid panther with horns and a samurai regalia.
* ReviveKillsZombie: He's defeated when Sesshoumaru uses Tenseiga to bring the sacrificed Deva back to life, turning him back into his weaker mummified form.
* TheUndead

Ayame is a wolf youkai princess, grandaughter of the well-respected leader of a tribe allied with Koga's. She claims to be Koga's fiancee, though he says he doesn't remember any such thing.

->Voiced by: Creator/YumiKakazu (JP), Natalie Walters (EN), Creator/PatriciaAcevedo (LA SP), Eleonora Leti (IT)
----
* AnimalMotifs: The Wolf
* CanonForeigner: Ayame is a character who only exists in the anime.
* ChildhoodFriendRomance: She has loved Koga since she was a child.
* ChildhoodMarriagePromise: One that Koga gave to her when she was a little girl, but he came to pretty much forget. [[spoiler: It's shown that he does remember sometime later after being reminded of it, but chose to not acknowledge it [[ItsNotYouItsMyEnemies to not have her tag along and put her in danger]].]]
** [[spoiler: Ultimately in the anime, Koga and she do get married when he takes full leadership of the wolf youkai.]]
* CuteBruiser: Small and tough.
* ElementalPowers: Has both BlowYouAway and PetalPower.
* FieryRedhead
* FlowerMotifs: "Ayame" means "iris," and she wears an iris in her hair. [[spoiler: Koga gave her one of these in their first encounter.]]
* GirlishPigtails: Her hair is always tied up in pigtails.
* PluckyGirl: Despite being much weaker than most demons, she's just as resolved as any in the series.
* RescueRomance: Koga saved her life when she was young.
* {{Youkai}}: A wolf one.

-> Voiced by: Creator/YujiUeda (JP), Creator/MattSmith (EN), Creator/BenjaminRivera (LA SP)

----
* AccidentalPervert: Accidentally stumbled upon Kagome and Sango while they were bathing.
* HopelessSuitor: Yet another suitor who's smitten with Kagome (which was even speculated by her when she saw Hojo's family history and noticed someone with the name "Kagome" on it) but notices that she and Inuyasha have feelings for each other. [[spoiler: The Kagome on the family tree was another woman whom Akitoki had fallen for after leaving the group. It wasn't even her real name (it's Suzuka), he had ''requested'' she change it.]]
* TheKlutz: Is undeniably clumsy.
* NakedFirstImpression: His first encounter Kagome and Sango while they're bathing in a hot spring, but neither of them knew he was there.
* PatrickStewartSpeech: Delivers one to Hoshiyomi about human nature and how it makes them strong.
* SixthRanger: Well somewhat, he lacks fighting skills but fits in quite well with the group.

A [[SiblingTeam sibling duo]] of rookie {{miko}}s who are duped by Tsubaki into attacking Inuyasha's group in the anime.

->Voiced by: Creator/ChinamiNishimura (Botan, JP) and Creator/ShihoKikuchi (Momiji, JP), Creator/NicoleBouma (Botan, EN) and Alexandra Carter (Momiji, EN); Creator/MariaFernandaMorales (Botan, LA SP) and Creator/PatriciaAcevedo (Momiji, LA SP)
----
* CurbStompBattle: Given their apprentice status, Inuyasha and co. are more than a match for them.
* CuteBruiser
* CutenessProximity: They're smitten with [[RidiculouslyCuteCritter Shippo and Kirara]] from the minute they lay eyes on them, and as soon as they're convinced that the two aren't evil, they begin fawning over them.
* HeroAntagonist: They ''only'' attacked Inuyasha because Tsubaki tricked them into doing so. When they realize that Tsubaki duped them ''and'' are defeated, they stop.
* HorribleJudgeOfCharacter: They instantly trust Tsubaki of all people after she reveals herself to be a priestess.
* {{Miko}}: They're only rookies, though.
* NoSenseOfPersonalSpace: See CutenessProximity above.
* {{Plucky Girl}}s: Even when it's clear that Inuyasha's group can take them easily, they don't give up until they're K.O.'d by an explosion.
* RedOniBlueOni: Botan wears blue while Momiji wears red. Their hair colors and eyeshadow match their clothing as well.
* SiblingTeam
* SympatheticMagic: They make giant [[AnimateInanimateObject doll replicas]] of Inuyasha and Kagome by getting ahold of locks of their hair.
* SympathyForTheDevil: Even after discovering her true colors, Momiji still expresses pity for Tsubaki.
* UnwittingPawn: Of Tsubaki.

[[folder:Izumo/Gyu Oh]]
[[quoteright:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/300px-Izumo_2083.png]]
An half demon who's cursed to turn into an ox demon every night. He's trying to create artificials Shikon Jewels to cure his status.

->Voiced by: Creator/DaiMatsumoto (JP), Creator/LeeTockar (EN), Alberto Caneva [Izumo] and Roberto Draghetti [Gyu Oh] (IT)
----
* AlasPoorVillain: He dies just as the sun rises due to his human form being unable to handle the miasma from the fake Sacred Jewels. In his last moments he asks Kagome if he can truly die as a human, and she feels pity for him.
* CarryABigStick: As Gyu Oh wields a wooden club embedded with fake Shikon Jewels.
* DeathByIrony: When the sun rises, the Fake Shikon Jewels in his body poison and kill him. His last words were asking Kagome if he's going to die as a human. His body is left with his upper half in human form and his lower half in demon form.
* FantasticRacism: A victim of this, when Orochidayu is slain by Inuyasha he tries to give orders to the surviving demons who refuses to obey a Half Demon like him, forcing him to make an example of their strongest member to make them obey him.
* Foil: To Inuyasha. Both are half-demons and as such, were rejected by both humans and demons. Both also coveted the Jewel for their own desires. However, Inuyasha initially desired the Jewel to become fully demon (prior to his CharacterDevelopment) while Izumo/Gyu Oh wants to use the Jewel to become fully human. Inuyasha was born to a human mother and demon father while Izumo/Gyu Oh was born to a demon mother and human father. And Inuyasha never willingly kills a human (with the exception of Bankotsu), while Izumo/Gyu Oh seems more than willing to severely harm or even kill them to achieve his goal. Even their views are in opposition; while Izumo/Gyu Oh is noticeably pessimistic, hating their existence as a half-demon, Inuyasha accepts how he was born and makes the most of who he is and what he can do.
* FriendToAllLivingThings: As Izumo, birds seems to be naturally attracted by him, while as Gyu Oh only the revolting Shibugarasu approach him, much to his dismay.
* GeniusBruiser: Oxen and bovine creatures are usually portrayed as dumb or stupid, but Gyu Oh is far from this stereotype, as he managed to built several artificial (though weaker) Shikon Jewels, and as Izumo he's an accomplished scholar.
* HalfHumanHybrid: Half-bull demon. Unlike most other half-demons in the series, his father was a human and his mother a demon. His demon side also only manifests at night, and he appears normal during the day.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: He ingests a large quantity of his fake Shikon Jewels to go OneWingedAngel and fight Inuyasha, but the toxic properties of the fakes, which are fatal to humans, end up killing him when he turns back with the sunrise.
* IControlMyMinionsThrough: He controls most of his lesser demon allies by paying them off with the fake Shikon Jewels, and by having a full demon that they respect more to give the direct orders. Once he takes direct control, he's not afraid to use violence to make them follow his orders.
* JekyllAndHyde: A more radical variation; Izumo turns into the monstrous Gyu Oh at night, whom is first introduced as an entirely separate demon that attacks the group. To an extent, Izumo treats his nighttime self as if it's another person, with Kagome having to point out to him that he is still Izumo even when he's in his bull form.
* MeaningfulName: Gyu Oh translates as "Ox King", a nod to the Journey to the West character Ox Demon King.
* OurMinotaursAreDifferent: He's a minotaur-looking demon.
* TragicMonster: Izumo is genuinely a good person and a well-traveled intellectual, but, y'know, turning into a savage bull demon ''every single night'' will probably be bad for your sanity. There's also the fact that, like Inuyasha, he's earned the scorn of humans and gentle creatures with his demon form, while on the opposite end demons despise him for being half human.
* WarriorPoet: Izumo is a very poetic individual who occasionally spouts poems as he talks. He retains this as Gyu Oh.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Orochidayu's gang]]

A group of Youkai lead by a snake demon called Orochidayu, who's using Izumo's skills to create and use fake Shikon Jewels to become stronger. Notable members outside Orochidayu include a Tsukumo Toad named Gamajiro, a nameless monkey Youkai and a duo composed by a spider demon and a one-horned Oni named Tsuchigumo and Ikkaku.

->Orochidayu is voiced by: Creator/DaikiNakamura (JP), Colin Murdock (EN), Alejandro Illescas (LA SP)
->Gamajiro is voiced by: Creator/FumihikoTachiki (JP), Ward Perry (EN)
----
* BaitAndSwitchBoss: Orochidayu is introduced as seemingly the leader of the gang and villain of the episode... but after his death, Gyu Oh takes over.
* TheDragon: Gamajiro to Orochidayu and later Gyu Oh.
* HornAttack: Ikkaku is a demon who can clash against Tessaiga with his single horn.
* ICanStillFight: Tsuchigumo has half of his body destroyed by the Wind Scar, but still moves around before being killed.
* ManiacMonkeys: The nameless macaque demon who tries to take over the gang after Orochidayu's death.
* ReusedCharacterDesign: Orochidayu, Gamajiro and the crows are identical to previously-appeared demons, namely the false Suijin, Tsukumo Toad and the Shibugarasu.
* ScaledUp: Orochidayu turns into a giant green snake to kill Inuyasha, but he's quickly killed by Kagome and him.
* TsuchigumoAndJorogumo: Tsuchigumo resembles a large spider with a barrel body, legs on the sides and a demonic head. He can spit webs from his mouth.
* VillainousGlutton: Gamajiro makes hungry comments over the imprisoned human souls in his eggs, despite being ordered to leave them alone.
* WeHaveReserves: The named ones use the promise of a whole fake Jewel to motivate the lesser members in battle.

[[folder:Garamaru]]
[[quoteright:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/garamaru_full_3051_2.png]]
A moth demon and the brother of Gatenmaru.

->Voiced by: Creator/TomokazuSeki (JP), Creator/MarkOliver (EN)
----
* AvengingTheVillain: Defied: he laughs it off when Inuyasha asks him if he's coming after them to avenge Gatenmaru's death.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: He finds Gatenmaru's tendency to suck human blood abhorrent and generally considers him a poor excuse for a member of the Moth Clan.
* FacialMarkings: Red stripes on his cheeks.
* FateWorseThanDeath: His feeding technique consists in sending people in a coma by implanting his "alter ego" in their bodies and cocoon them: the victim then is forced to live his worst nightmares before having his soul and body consumed by the alter ego and turn into moth youkai.
* MakeUpIsEvil: He wears purple lipstick.
* MasterOfIllusion: When he's gone for good, it's revealed that his entire forest was an illusion.
* NoOntologicalInertia: Averted, when Inuyasha kills him with a Wind Scar, his alter ego keep consuming the rest of the group.
* SissyVillain: While not as girly as Gatenmaru, he's still quite effeminate.
* {{Youkai}}: A moth youkai.

* DoubleWeapon: The two blades of the naginata can actually be removed and reattached.
* EvilWeapon: The naginata is what drove him crazy and evil.
* FacialMarkings: He has purple stripes on his forehead and cheeks.
* FallenHero: Used to a NobleDemon who only wanted to protect his lover, then [[SanitySlippage lost it]]
* HeartbrokenBadass: It's complicated.
* HeelFaceTurn: Did one, thanks to Tsukiyomi. However, it didn't last thanks to the Naginata.
* InterspeciesRomance: He's a demon and his lover Tsukiyomi was human.
* {{Irony}}: [[spoiler:He originally got the naginata that made him go crazy to actually ''help'' his beloved Tsukiyomi, since he didn't want her to work herself to death.]]
* MonsterSlayerRomance: Like Inuyasha and Kikyo, Hoshiyomi is a demon who fell in love with a woman with strong spiritual powers that she used to exterminate evil demons.
* {{Ninja}}
* OmnicidalManiac: When possessed by the naginata, he decides to create a black hole to destroy humanity and possibly all of existence. [[OutsideContextProblem This is especially jarring]], especially since most of the villains just want power, killing and eating.
* OutsideContextProblem: Most villains including the BigBad are merely selfish egotists that want things their way and kill whatever disrupts them. It's jarring to see a villain that [[SuicidalCosmicTemperTantrum wants to destroy everything due to personal tragedy]].
* PointyEars: As many humanlike youkai, he has pointed ears.
* StarCrossedLovers: When he started becoming corrupted by his EvilWeapon, his lover Tsukiyomi betrayed him and sealed him away. [[spoiler:Tsukiyomi wanted to set him free, but breaking the spear in half took all of her life energy and she died before she could release Hoshiyomi.]]
* WoobieDestroyerOfWorlds: He thought Tsukiyomi betrayed him, so he decided to destroy all humanity with a black hole, thanks to the naginata.

* EvilRedhead: Suzaku.
* FeatheredFiend: Suzaku's true form. Not played so seriously, as he's essentially a red rooster who runs after Shippo pecking him.
* FlechetteStorm: Seiryu can throw his own scales like shuriken.
%%* FourIsDeath:
* LargeHam: The Italian dub downplays Suzaku's camp behaviour in favour of giving him moments of hamminess and AntiquatedLinguistics which annoy his companions.

[[folder: Chokyukai]]

A naginata-wielding boar demon who claims to be the descendant of Cho Hakkai, the one and the same from ''Literature/JourneyToTheWest''. Alongside a pathethically weak duo consisting in a monkey demon and a kappa (the descendents of Son Goku and Sa Gojo) he kidnaps girls for his harem, using a magic circlet to make them love him.

-->Voiced by: Ritsuo Sawa (JP), Peter New (EN)

----
* AbhorrentAdmirer: He tries to woo any pretty girl in sight, but he's not exactly a looker... or chivalrous for that matter.
* AscendedExtra: In the manga, a naginata-wielding boar youkai makes a brief appearence before getting stomped on by Entei, with Hakudoshi taking his naginata. In the anime, he took it from a different demon, Rengokuki (Entei's former master).
* ButtMonkey: He gets no respect from his opponents and is considered a joke.
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: That being said, he's able to fight toe to toe with a Tessaiga-wielding Inuyasha, so he's not all talk.
* FullBoarAction: A humanoid boar Yokai claiming to be the descendant of the legendary Cho Hakkai.
* HaremSeeker: He has already kindapped dozens of girls, but he still wants more.
* LovePotion: He carries around certain magical circlets which makes anyone who wear them (even Inuyasha and Miroku) fall in love with Chokyukai. Luckily, they're easy to remove.
* RunningGag: People calling him either Pig Demon or, in Kagome's case, Pork. Every time he angrily specifies that he's a ''boar'' demon.
* ShotInTheAss: Kagome ultimately banish him by pinning the chinese exorcism on her arrow and shooting it right into Cho Kyukai's ass.
* ShoutOut: To the renown Chinese novel ''Literature/JourneyToTheWest''.
* SmallNameBigEgo: In his second appearence he fears that Hakudoshi, who's been beheading powerful demons to see the netherworld, is after his head. The latter doesn't even register his presence and let Entei snort him away.
* SparedByTheAdaptation: In the manga, the demon he's based on is killed pretty soon. In the anime he was alive in his last appearence.

[[folder: Ungai]]

A leader of monks who has a passionate hatred towards demons.
----
* BullyingADragon: While defeating demons is his job, his first encounter with Sesshomaru could have ended messily if he didn't try to attack him first. Sesshomaru wasn't even going to fight him and his group, and used Tokinjin to get the hell out of dodge. The second time, Sesshomaru has shown he's immune to their magic and Sesshommaru was close to transforming into his real form, but uses a shockwave to defeat him and his monks without killing them.
* CurbstompBattle: Kills a demon by luring it in a trap. Sesshomaru would later do this to him at the receiving end. He was ''damn lucky'' [[MoralityPet Rin was present]]. Otherwise, he would've been dead.
* FantasticRacism: He has an intense hatred for demons, regardless if they're good or evil. He happens to find a human Inuyasha, who turned into human during that night due to the new moon.
* GoodIsNotNice: He is a good man, but his FantasticRacism towards demons paints him in this light, especially when the protagonists tells him the demons in their group aren't evil.
* JerkassRealization: He couldn't comprehend why humans would be willing to follow demons, especially with Rin when he tries to persuade her from continuing to follow Sesshomaru. Rin for her part chose to follow Sesshomaru out of loyalty for him, and when he asks Kagome why Inuyasha is with them, he decided to drop his question.
* WarriorMonk: He is a monk who goes by with his group defeating every demon he sees.

[[folder: Menomaru]]
[[quoteright:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/300px-Cap022_8556.jpg]]
The BigBad of the first Movie, a powerful moth demon from Asia, but he and his father were defeated by Inuyasha's father and sealed inside the Tree of Ages. Released by a fragment of the Shikon Jewel, he's now back with revenge.

->Voiced by: Creator/TomokazuSeki (JP), Vincent Gale (EN), Creator/AlessandroQuarta (IT)
----
* BackFromTheDead: Can revive himself at will. At the beginning of the movie, a fragment of the Shikon Jewel allows him to get enough energy to break free from Lord Hyoga's arboreal prison.
* BadassCape: Has one in the form of wings.
* BarrierWarrior: While in Chrisalys mode.
* BigBad: Of the first movie.
* CoolSword: Actually a pretty normal broadsword, though he does use it to deflect Inu Yasha's Wind Scar.
* DanceBattler: His fighting style, not surprisingly since his origins are in China.
* DemonicPossession: [[spoiler: Does this to Kagome in an attempt to kill Inuyasha.]]
* DevourTheDragon: Does this to Hari when she's cut in half by Sango.
* DragonAscendant: Served his father, the former Lord Hyoga, on his conquest until the latter was killed. When revived, Menomaru takes up his father's mantle to continue their war.
* FauxAffablyEvil: Acts politely, except is as [[FantasticRacism racist]] and [[SmugSuper arrogant]] as any other demon.
* GreenThumb: His technique to transform involves growing a tree of a cocoon.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: [[spoiler: Death by Bakuryuha.]]
* LegacyCharacter: His goal is to literally become the same being as his father.
* LightningBruiser: While by no means as fast as Sesshomaru, he was able to outpace Inuyasha in their first bout.
* ManipulativeBastard: In a particularly mean way: [[spoiler: [[ForTheEvulz brainwashes Kagome into killing Inuyasha in the same manner as Kikyo]]]]. More generally, everything in the movie is all part of his plans; he also takes advantage of Inuyasha's LeeroyJenkins tendencies to release his father.
* TheMinionMaster: He releases demons that were under his father's service to fight for him.
* OneWingedAngel: After becoming the New Lord Hyoga, he turns into a colossus with moth wings and antennae. [[ClippedWingAngel It makes him a bigger target and is no where near as fast as he was before.]]
* PoisonousPerson: As a moth, it's obvious.
* SealedEvilInACan: Was sealed in a tree, along with the remains of his father.
* SmugSuper: The reason he doesn't need the Shikon Jewel for a power booster, is that, like Sesshomaru, he already has power to back his claims.
* TheStoic: He's reserved, but is very smug.

[[folder: Ruri and Hari]]
Menomaru's servants who aid in his evil plan.

-->Ruri voiced by: (Ruri) Creator/HekiruShiina (JP), Creator/VenusTerzo (EN), Creator/LauraLenghi (IT)\\
Hari voiced by: Creator/TomokoKawakami (JP), Creator/LalaniaLindjberg (EN), Georgia Lepore (IT)
----
* AssimilationBackfire: Ruri copies Miroku's Wind Tunnel for her own use, and this hits her ''hard'' when she later deliberately expands it with a knife to gain an edge over Miroku, only to quickly lose control of it and be consumed.
* TheBeastmaster: Hari who takes control of Kirara and turns her against Sango.
* DidntThinkThisThrough: Ruri ''really'' should have done more research on the [[PowerOfTheVoid Wind]] [[SuperPowerMeltdown Tunnel]] before she copied it.
* DualWielding: Hari wields a couple of ''dao'' as her weapons.
* HalfTheManHeUsedToBe: Hari ends up getting this via Sango's boomerang. Doesn't quite kill her but her master going OneWingedAngel and sucking in souls at the worst possible time does the trick.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: Ruri who tries to even the deadlock against Miroku's Wind Tunnel by expanding hers. However she winds up losing control and ends up sucked into it.
* MoralMyopia: Hari sees the beasts she commands as her slaves, to be used or disposed of at her whim. When Menomaru takes her soul when ''he'' feels that she is no longer useful, Hari becomes [[VillainousBreakdown heartbroken]], begging her master for a second chance as she dies.
* PowerCopying: Ruri who copies Miroku's Wind Tunnel for her own.
* YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness: Hari sees the beasts under her command as nothing but slaves, to be used or disposed of as she sees fit. If they break her control or are rendered helpless, she kills them without a second thought. Hari herself becomes a victim of this trope when her own master [[LaserGuidedKarma steals her soul to power himself]], apparently having decided that she was no longer useful to ''him''.

[[folder:Princess Kaguya]]
[[quoteright:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/300px-Kaguya_001_6261.png]]
The BigBad of the second movie. The legendary maiden found in a bamboo stalk, this one is actually a powerful demon who devoured the real Princess and disguised as her. Confined inside a mirror, she's freed by Kanna and Kagura and tries to bring forth the "Eternal Night".

->Voiced by: Mieko Harada (JP), Creator/NicoleOliver (EN), Monica Ward (IT)
----
* TwoDVisualsThreeDEffects: Her "smoke blob form" is created through CGI, using 8 polygons.
* BarrierWarrior: Can make barriers capable of repelling attacks.
* BigBadWannabe: Presented as the BigBad of the movie, resurfacing after Naraku's apparent death but in reality [[spoiler:the whole thing is a gambit by the latter to lure her out and have Inuyasha's group eliminate her for him]].
* CoolSword: Makes a giant golden sword out of her hairpin.
* TheCorrupter: She almost manages to permanently transform Inuyasha into his demon form.
* DarkActionGirl: One of the strongest in the series
* DeadPersonImpersonation: It's not the real Princess Kaguya. She's a demon who's long since killed her and just took her name and form.
* EvilCostumeSwitch: When she appears for the first time, she wears the typical YamatoNadeshiko style dress. After revealing her true nature, she dons a skimpier outfit complete with cape and breast bands.
* EvilVersusEvil: The promo materials made it look like she might be yet another one of Naraku's mooks. They most certainly are ''not'' friends, though in the scheme of the movie, she's the bigger threat.
* FantasticRacism: She hates half-demons even more than your typical {{youkai}}.
* FauxAffablyEvil: Kaguya puts on a regal air but she's a vicious elitist and self-centred demon bent on killing all that lives.
* GodGuise: According to Kagura, she was a demon who obtained immortality by devouring the real Princess Kaguya and pretends to be a goddess.
* GreenThumb: She can grow flora like Menomaru, but uses it for more combative uses,
* HairTriggerTemper: During her true form.
* TheHeavy: While the film winds up being [[spoiler:an added arc where Naraku tries to power-grab her and escape]] she functions as the primary antagonist the heroes are faced with for most of the film, having a personal connection to Miroku, whose grandfather she had battled and been sealed by.
* ItsAllAboutMe: Unlike other villains, she's overwhelmingly selfish in her goal (namely, ruling over a world where the time is frozen and nothing is alive.)
* ManipulativeBitch: No Naraku by any means, but is still very manipulative
* NoBodyLeftBehind: [[spoiler: Deprived of the Celestial Robe, she's hit by Inu Yasha's attack and turns into a handful of cherry blossoms.]]
* NoodleIncident: It's implied she had an old score with Naraku in the past, but it is never elaborated upon. All that is known is that they were both enemies of Miroku's grandfather, and whatever grudge they had with each other was serious enough for Naraku to [[spoiler:fake his own death simply to lure her out of hiding.]]
* NotQuiteDead: [[spoiler: After being seemingly vaporized by Inuyasha's Wind Scar, she reappers as a dark cloud to make one last attack on Kagome, but is ultimately sucked in the Wind Tunnel.]]
* OutGambitted: By Naraku at the end, naturally.
* SealedEvilInACan: Was sealed in a mirror. She spend the first part of the movie still inside it.
* TimeStandsStill: The effects of the Eternal Night.
* VainSorceress

[[folder:So'Unga]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/image_557.jpeg]]
The BigBad of the third movie. Literally "Fang of the Gathering Clouds", was a demonic sword owned by Inuyasha's father, and more powerful than Tenseiga or Tessaiga, having the ability to summon 100 dead souls from hell. Is the main villain in the third movie, manipulating the actions of Inuyasha and later Takemaru.

->Voiced by: Creator/FumihikoTachiki (JP), Rino Bolognesi (IT)
----
* BigBad: Of the third movie.
* BodyHorror: When possessing Inuyasha and later a nameless Oni, it sprouts tentacles that pierce his hand and anchor it to the hilt.
* CombatTentacles: Grows some on Inuyasha while trying to possess him.
* DemonicPossession: Inflict this on everyone who holds it with Toga being the only one to resist its influences.
* EvilWeapon: Unlike Tenseiga and Tessaiga, this sword is extremely evil.
* InconsistentSpelling: Becomes "Songa" in the Italian dub.
* ManipulativeBastard: He attempts to manipulate people by playing on their greatest resentments. He succeeds in doing this with Takemaru and uses him as a host.
* NightOfTheLivingMooks: Can raise the corpses of a hundred people and demons.
* OneWingedAngel: [[spoiler: Develops a self-reliant body for itself after Takemaru lets go of his anger and dies in peace when he realizes that Izayoi wanted him to live and that he always loved her.]]
* SealedEvilInACan: It was apparently a demonic weapon which Inuyasha's father took as his own to quell its demonic influence and keep it at bay. He ordered the spirit Saya to seal the sword's power in the scabbard after his death.
* UnholyNuke: Gokuryuuha (Hell Dragon Wave, "Dragon Twister" in the dub). This energy typhoon is so powerful and baleful that not even [[AttackReflector Tessaiga's Bakuryuuha]] can do anything to it.
* ZombieApocalypse: Not only it can bring the dead back to life as revenants, but when going all out it can open an hole between the netherworld and the world of the living, which would result in the living dead roaming the land.

Secondary antagonist of the third movie, he was a samurai lord who was in love with Izayoi, Inuyasha's mother, and tried to kill her out of jealousy because she loved Inuyasha's father, the Great Dog Demon. He's resurrected as a wraith by So'unga, so that the sword may have a wielder.

->Voiced by: Creator/YasunoriMatsumoto (JP), Jonathan Holmes (EN), Cristian Iasante (IT)
----
* AlasPoorVillain: In his final moments, he realizes his hatred toward Izayoi was misplaced and that he always loved her.
* CameBackWrong: Resurrected as a revenant zombie.
* TheDragon: To So'Unga.
* EmpoweredBadassNormal: He was a highly skilled samurai before being brought back as a NighInvulnerable zombie.
* EvilWeapon: The source of his powers to boot.
* HealingFactor: Thanks to his new form he can regenerate at will.
* HeartBrokenBadass: He was in love with Izayoi but she instead fell in love with the Inu no Taisho.
* HeelRealization: He always loved Izayoi dearly and never resented her. He is able to die in peace when he realizes this.
* HoistByTheirOwnPetard: Ends up being killed finally by Inuyasha, who he had attempted to kill before birth.
* HopelessSuitor: In love with Izayoi but couldn't have her as she was in love with the Inu no Taisho.
* HornedHumanoid: After bonding with Sesshomaru's severed arm he grows a single horn on the right side of his head.
* IfICantHaveYou: He kills Izayoi after he realizes that she will never love him. Also probably to kill the child she is giving birth to. He looks back when he realizes he failed in killing the child when he hears his first cries but doesn't have time to finish the job after the father storms in.
* LoveMakesYouEvil: Seriously, he nearly killed Inuyasha's mother just because she loved a demon.
* MasterSwordsman: Capable of taking on Sesshomaru in a fair fight.
* MeaningfulName: His name means "In the heat of the moment" This suits him perfectly.
* NoodleIncident: We don't know the precise nature of his relationship with Izayoi. It's possible they were more than just associates since she seems to have cared enough about him to try and save him from the wrath of the Inu no Taisho (her own husband), who she knows Takemaru is no match against.
* OneManArmy: He wipes out an entire army of samurai before taking their keep as his own.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Upon his resurrection, his eyes are blood red.
* VillainousValour: Even as he's dying, he fights the great dog demon to the death in a burning house. He was probably powered by his jealousy over Izayoi's feelings for her husband.
* WouldHurtAChild: He attempts to kill Izayoi probably also in an effort to kill her child before it can be born. On top of that, he is willing to kill Rin and Kagome since they remind him of Izayoi.

[[folder:The Shitoshin]]
[[quoteright:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/250px-Shitoshin_full_6699.png]]
The main villains of the Fourth Movie. The Shitoshin (Four War Gods) were four powerful great demon lords that invaded Horaijima but got their power source removed, forcing them to stay on the island. The four members are (again) based on the Four Guardian Gods and are named Ryuura (Dragon), Kyora (Phoenix), Jura (Tiger) and Goura (Turtle).

->Voiced by: Creator/NobutoshiCanna [Ryuura], Creator/TakeshiKusao [Jura], Creator/NobuoTobita [Kyora], Tadahisa Saizen [Goura] (JP), Kristian Ayre [Ryuura], Jason Simpson [Jura], Ted Cole [Kyora], Ward Perry [Goura] (EN), Creator/FabrizioVidale [Ryuura], Creator/LauraBoccanera [Kyora], Massimo Bitossi [Jura], Emiliano Ragno [Goura] (IT)
----
* AchillesHeel: Goura is seemingly invincible, but when Kagome aims the sacred arrow at his true face (located on the forehead of the turtle-dragon head) the barrier dissipates, allowing Inuyasha to inflict him a fatal wound.
* AnimalMotifs: See above in the description.
* AttackOfThe50FootWhatever: Goura is a colossal turtle-dragon demon.
* AxCrazy: All of them, though Jura is the worst.
* BadassNormal: Jura is the only member who does not use any kind of energy or magic for his attacks.
* {{BFG}}: Jura's Thunder Cannon. Like with Kyora, it's implied he took it from Kujaku's companion.
* {{BFS}}: Ryuura's Fujinga and Raijinga swords.
* BigBadDuumvirate: The four share a combined blood lust and though Goura seems the least involved thanks to the lack of dialogue, they're all together on the plot to sacrifice half-demon children to allow their island to appear to the outside world so they can go forth and fight.
* BloodMagic: Goura uses a blood sample extracted from Kikyo 50 years ago to create a clone of her.
* CallingYourAttacks: Aside from Goura, we have Jura's ''Seitenhou'' (Azure Heaven Cannon), Kyora's ''Ennetsucho'' (Scorching Fire Birds) and ''Kujakusen'' (Peacock's Fan) and Ryuura's two attacks, ''Chiryo Fuuin'' (Earthly Spirit's Wind Seal) and ''Tenryo Kinrai'' (Heavenly Spirit's Golden Lightning).
* DualWielding: Ryuura wields two huge scimitars in battle. The one with the silver engravings controls [[BlowYouAway wind]], the one with the golden engravings has power over [[ShockAndAwe thunder]].
* DudeLooksLikeALady: Kyora. He even [[ShesAManInJapan becomes a woman in the Italian dub]].
* {{Expy}}: They all look like previous villains of the series: Ryuura resembles Bankotsu, Jura resembles a recolored Suikotsu with Renkotsu's weapon, Kyora is a pastiche of Jakotsu and Abihime while Goura has a humanoid face on his monster head like Ryuukotsusei.
* FriendlyFireproof: Aversion, Jura is defeated when Miroku uses his Wind Tunnel to drag some of Goura's bullets on Jura's back, allowing Sango to slay him while he was blocked by the attack.
* TheFourGods: Unlike the filler Shinobi Youkai, they look more the part.
* AGodAmI: They claim to be gods. Both Inuyasha and Sesshomaru call them deluded.
* {{Guyliner}}: Kyora's lipstick.
* {{Kaiju}}: Goura, an island-sized turtle.
* OneWingedAngel: They all get a power up after retrieving their power orbs, while Jura transform into a bigger and feral humanoid with spiked shoulders after losing his Seitenhou. [[spoiler: They also merge in a grotesque, asura-like monster with the bodies of the three members and Goura's shell.]]
* OverlyLongTongue: Goura has one in his real mouth which he uses to ensnare Kikyou and suck her blood.
* PaperFanOfDoom: Kyora's weapon, which he took from Kujaku a former vassal of the Inu no Taisho who tried to stop them.
* PlayingWithFire: Kyora and Goura to some extent. The former can unleash fireblasts and summon birds made of fire, the latter breathes fire and shoots fiery meteors from the shell.
* SealedEvilInACan: They're confined to the island, and while they're dangerous, they cannot fully reform and get their power as long as their respective four orbs are kept sealed inside the island's sacred furnace. Unfortunately, the furnace requires the sacrifice of an Han'yo child to stay sealed.
* TheSpeechless: Aside from some EvilLaugh, Goura doesn't speak.
* TheWorfEffect: Subverted with Goura, who's the first to face the heroes and dies fighting Kagome and Inuyasha, but is then revived by his orb and is the last Shitoshin to die.
* WorthyOpponent: Sesshomaru for Kyora. At least, this is what the latter think.

* DroppedABridgeOnHim: [[spoiler: She's foreshadowed throughout most of the movie but killed very quickly and effortlessly by Kikyo.]]
* EmotionlessGirl: She has no will of her own and wears a blank expression on her face.
* IKnowYoureInThereSomewhereFight: Inuyasha initially tries this on her, but gives it up when he realizes it's not the real Kikyo.
* InnocentFanserviceGirl: She's completely naked for most of the movie. There's a few camera pans showing off her butt and legs.
* LightningBruiser: Unlike the real Kikyo, she wields a sword and is fast and strong enough to physically fight Inuyasha on an even footing.
* NakedOnArrival
* ShapeshifterGuiltTrip: Inuyasha manages to overpower her, but can't bring himself to finish her off; the real Kikyo shows up at that moment and kills her before berating Inuyasha for letting himself be tricked by the fake.
* TheSpeechless: Not once does she speak, however, don't know if she's this trope or TheVoiceless.
* SurprisinglyCreepyMoment: In her last moments, she suddenly opened her mouth revealing FANGS! [[spoiler: Had the real Kikyo not shown up and killed her right then and there, Inuyasha's idiocy at that moment would have most certainly gotten him killed.]]

->Voiced by: Creator/TakashiKondo (Male, JP), Sean Broadhurst (Male, EN), Ryōko Nagata (JP, Female), Creator/CarolAnneDay (EN, Female)
----
* AudienceSurrogate: Oh ''heck'' yes, and a rather awesome example, at that. He/she quickly becomes very useful thanks to the Shikigami powers and is integral in solving some of the major problems that come up (for example, one of his/her powers is essential to taking away enemy barriers so attacks will actually damage them). He/she's the "player character". Not to mention that given that Kururugi can "hook up" with one of the members of the group, he/she's also a "fanboy/fangirl surrogate". [[spoiler: Although that last part's kind of spoiled during the ending when Kururugi is sent back to the modern era...unless it's Kagome's ending, since of course Kagome lives in the modern era as well, so they can meet up pretty quickly.]]
* ButNowIMustGo: [[spoiler: How his/her story arc ends.]]
* CallingYourAttacks: Since Kururugi must rely on the powers of Shikigami in order to use any of his/her moves, every attack gets its own phrase.
* CanonName: The default names of the male and female Kururugi are Michiru and Kaname respectively.
* CharacterDevelopment: When Kururugi is first sent to the Feudal era, he/she's a fish out of water and is upset that there are no supermarkets around and his/her cell phone doesn't work. Then he/she is granted "Shikigami" powers, and eventually develops into a brave warrior in his/her own right. Also, in another example albeit a more minor case, Kururugi eventually learns (through his/her optional "romance" arc should the player choose to become especially close to a specific member of the group) to be more true to his/her feelings.
* GuideDangIt: It's possible for Kaname (and not Michiru, since he isn't gay or bisexual) to end up with ''Sesshomaru'' of all people... but that requires a convoluted effort to not only not build up much affection with the other group members but also to do all the Sesshomaru events in the right order when you get them so you don't miss any. '''And''' at one point you have to choose to worry about Rin instead of your friends, but the impact of the choice isn't apparent right away. You'll only know you're on the right track if the "profile picture" on your save file suddenly has Sesshomaru's picture on it instead of one of the group members' pictures.
** On the other hand, it can be surprisingly easy to get the Sesshomaru ending, even if you wanted to get a different ending. All that's required is to worry about Rin and trigger the random event on the road to Castle Town when it's available towards the end of the game; seeing the other random events involving Sesshomaru is not necessary.
* HelloInsertNameHere: Because the player can change Kururugi's first name, said first name is never uttered during audible dialogue. As shown in the opening cutscene, s/he's apparently on a LastNameBasis with his/her friends.
* LevelUpAtIntimacy5: Michiru/Kaname Kururugi can learn more "team-up" techniques depending on which member of the group Kururugi chooses to spend his/her days off with. (This is also indirectly how the others learn different "team-up" techniques, since if Kururugi pairs up with one of the group, the rest of the group must then pair up with different people for ''their'' days off).
* NiceGuy
* SchrodingersPlayerCharacter: Some plot details change slightly depending on whether you pick Michiru, the boy, or Kaname, the girl. For example, the senior citizen "Kakuju" whom you meet early in the game is an old ''woman'' if you pick Michiru, and an old ''man'' if you pick Kaname, so Kakuju is always the ''opposite'' sex of whomever you pick as the player character. Likewise, [[spoiler: if you pick Michiru, the antagonist "Utsugi" turns out to be a man, and it's a fake person who looks like your identical ancestor. Utsugi is also your identical ancestor (not really) if you pick Kaname, but Utsugi is female instead. So unlike Kakuju, Utsugi is always the ''same'' sex as whomever you pick as the player character. This is a major plot point; you find out near the end of the game that Kakuju and the real Utsugi were ''lovers'', but Utsugi died and Kakuju created fake versions instead. And since the real Utsugi is your identical ancestor, this is why both Kakuju and Utsugi are each a different sex depending on whom you pick.]]
