!Merchant Convoy

A band of travelling merchants whom Ilyana is part of, and the Greil Mercenaries bump into as both parties flee Crimea. They hook up and supply the mercs with all sorts of goods and handy services for the duration. Three years later, they're stuck in Daein during the occupation, and end up helping the Dawn Brigade in the same manner. When that conflict ends, they go to work for Ike and co. again in the Laguz Alliance.

[[ThoseTwoGuys Twin brothers]], Daniel in red and Jorge in green. The former is a blacksmith who can forge custom weapons for you, the latter an antiques dealer (read: buys your unwanted items from you). Jorge, in turn, gives the scrap weapons to Daniel to be smelted into more forged weapons.

->'''Jorge voiced by:''' Hiroshi Watanabe (Japanese, ''VideoGame/FireEmblemHeroes''), Creator/AleksLe (English, ''VideoGame/FireEmblemHeroes'')
----
* CallBack: Jorge's Grand Hero Battle map in ''Heroes'' has him fight alongside allies. However, said allies are all haphazardly built (both Jorge and a foe having Bond and Oath skills that grant them more stats but only when they're next to another unit which either isn't close to, a Bowknight with Spendthrift Bow+ with an area-of-effect Special which they will NEVER trigger due to Spendthrift's Special cooldown penalty making it outright impossible to trigger elemental Specials, a Firesweep Sword+ flier who has Iote's Shield which doesn't go well with their kit, a staff unit with high Atk but doesn't have Wrathful Staff to help them hit hard, and the ninja with The Cleaner+ and a Ruse skill they will never exploit because the debuffs don't last long enough for them to exploit and said debuffs don't help their weapon deal more damage since it punishes buffs). The whole questionable setup isn't weird because Jorge (and Daniel) is bad at strategy games.
* TheCameo: While Daniel isn't directly controllable in ''Heroes'', he does pop up in Jorge's special artwork and he is credited as the one who made the personal bow Jorge is using.
* ChekhovsGunman: On a couple of occasions in ''Path of Radiance'', one of the two pesters Ike for military strategy tips, to help them beat their brother at some pen-and-paper war game they're playing. Those tips just so happen to [[LeaningOnTheFourthWall come in handy for you in the next chapter.]]
* PromotedToPlayable: Jorge makes his playable debut in ''Heroes''.
%%* ThoseTwoGuys
* YouRequireMoreVespeneGas: Weapon forging in ''Radiant Dawn'' had a new wrinkle attached: in addition to gold, you required 50 Forge Points (accumulated by selling off stuff to Jorge) for every weapon made. Key word being "had"; this was mysteriously removed from the international versions of the game, which left nothing stopping you from forging as many weapons as you could afford (besides common sense). [[BlindIdiotTranslation Dialogue was still translated and left in about the now nonexistent Forge Points]], though this might suggest that they were cut at the eleventh hour.

->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/JunjiMajima (Japanese, ''Radiant Dawn'' and ''VideoGame/FireEmblemHeroes''), Dave White (English, ''Radiant Dawn''), Robert Clotworthy (English, ''Fire Emblem Heroes'')
----
* AntiVillain: He's fighting for the corrupt Begnion senate, but he's an honorable general, best shown when he agrees to withdraw after Elincia flies into the middle of a warzone to beg everyone to stop fighting on Crimean soil. And when Sanaki escapes the senate's clutches, he sides with her in a heartbeat.

!!Almedha ''(Amrita)''

[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/almedha_artwork_fe10.png]]

The consort of King Ashnard and queen dowager of Daein in ''Radiant Dawn.'' Revealed to be the daughter of King Dheginsea of Goldoa and the sister of Rajaion and Kurthnaga. Although she is a [[OurDragonsAreDifferent dragon laguz]], the birth of her branded child has left her unable to transform into a dragon, and so she passes herself off as a beorc woman.
----
* BloodKnight: Implied to have been in the past. She left Goldoa because she disagreed with her father's policy of strict military neutrality, and she had an attraction to Ashnard until she got pregnant from him.
* BrokenBird: Her life was extremely depressing. She left Goldoa because she objected to her father's isolationism and became Ashnard's mistress until she became pregnant and lost her shapeshifting. Afterward, Ashnard abandoned her and their son when he learned that both are completely useless to his plan, but not before using her son as a hostage to lure Rajaion. She was totally in grief that when Izuka showed her Pelleas, she immediately consider him her son when he's not because it was a total crutch to her sanity. If Pelleas dies, she completely lose her mind and lash at Micaiah for "killing" her son.
* DeliverUsFromEvil: Either the conception or the birth of her son ([[UnreliableNarrator depending on whom you ask]]) robbed her of her shapeshifting ability, meaning that she ''couldn't'' be the BloodKnight that she used to be. Twenty-odd years later, she is much more interested in doting on her son than fighting.
* GodSaveUsFromTheQueen: She was willing to sacrifice the entire kingdom of Daein [[KnightTemplarParent to save her beloved Pelleas.]]
* LoveMakesYouCrazy: In the expanded script, if Pelleas dies and his mark is transferred to Micaiah, she contemplated killing Micaiah to break the Blood Pact even though it wouldn't work because she was completely in grief and madness from his death.
* LoveRuinsTheRealm: Her affair with Ashnard resulted in Rajaion, Ena, and ten other red dragons leaving Goldoa and violating its strict military neutrality, which nearly resulted in Yune being awakened in ''Path of Radiance''. Possibly subverted in that [[spoiler:her son, who obviously wouldn't have been born otherwise, was directly involved in preventing the "dark god's" awakening]].
* MumLooksLikeASister: While she appears to be a beorc woman in her mid-thirties (if that) and is alleged to be the mother of Pelleas, a beorc man in his early twenties, [[spoiler:she is, in fact, neither]]. [[spoiler:Played with later. While she isn't Pelleas' mother, she does have a son in his early twenties. However, she's also Really700YearsOld.]]

* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: Almedha carries a great deal of guilt over what happened to Rajaion, because it was her departure from Goldoa that ultimately caused it.
* ParentsKnowTheirChildren: [[spoiler: Knows Soren is her son after their first interaction despite not seeing him since his birth.]]
* PoorCommunicationKills: [[spoiler:It is possible for her to be responsible for the death of Pelleas because she refuses to elaborate more about the Blood Pact, out of fear that Micaiah might murder Pelleas. This leads to Pelleas wrongly concluding that killing himself would break the curse]].
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld: Due to her being a Dragon Laguz, and a black dragon no less. Her exact age is never specified, but given that she's the older sister of Kurthnaga, [[OlderThanTheyLook who himself is just over a century old]], she's probably a few centuries old at a minimum.
%%* RedEyesTakeWarning
* UnholyMatrimony: With Ashnard (seeing as she was his former concubine), albeit one-sided. She was attracted to Ashnard, but outside of bearing his child, he felt nothing for her or their child (especially when he discovered that his half-Dragon Branded of a son possessed no special powers to exploit) and used them to lure Rajaion to Daein.
* {{Unperson}}: [[spoiler:Her father, Dheginsea, made sure she never existed to hide the truth that she lost her powers as a result of becoming pregnant with a Branded child.]]
* WidowsWeeds: As Ashnard's widow and former concubine, she wears black as well as a veil. She is also a tragic person as she wish to see her son again, [[spoiler:which can be taken away from her if Pelleas sacrifices himself.]]

* BigBrotherInstinct: He attempted to save his sister from her crazy lover, and spent almost twenty years suffering for it.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: Due to the feral drug.
* DubInducedPlotHole: A very minor one — his translated death scene was worded slightly ambiguously, not making it quite as clear that he had in fact died and suggesting that he may be still alive and accompanying Ena back to Goldoa. This was rectified with ''Radiant Dawn'' specifically mentioning his dead status.
* DyingAsYourself: Thanks to Reyson and Leanne, he transformed into his humanoid form just in time to...
* ImAHumanitarian: Implied; Ashnard threatened to feed incompetent generals to Rajaion.
* PapaWolf: Or Uncle Wolf in this case. Rajaion cared just as strongly about saving his nephew as he did about his sister.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Subverted; his eyes glow yellow when he is drugged and insane, and return to their natural red color after he is cured.
* UncannyFamilyResemblance: In ''Path of Radiance,'' Rajaion had the same eye color and mark on his forehead as Kurthnaga, although they were not confirmed to be brothers until ''Radiant Dawn''. One of the Ashera's Three Heroes that defeated the dark god and the only one to both be a woman and a Beorc. She was the original wielder of Ragnell and Alondite, twin swords that were blessed by Ashera. She was the first ruler of the Begnion Empire and the ancestor of Empress Sanaki and Micaiah.

->'''Voiced by:''' Miho Miyagawa (Japanese, ''VideoGame/FireEmblemHeroes''), Krizia Bajos (English, ''VideoGame/FireEmblemHeroes'')
----
* ActionGirl: The sole woman and Beorc of the Three Heroes but is one of the strongest swordswoman in the past.
* AmazonianBeauty: She has a pretty face, a large bust, and long, flowing hair. Her original (albeit blurry) flashback art shows she has well-defined abs as well. When appearing in ''Fire Emblem Heroes'', her art is clear enough and her top tight enough to show that she actually has a six-pack under her clothes - something that backs up her ability to dual wield the massive longswords Ragnell and Alondite.
* AscendedExtra: She goes from a {{Precursor Hero|es}}ine who is long, long dead in Ike's era to a playable character in ''Heroes''.
* CuddleBug: In a special video for her Christmas version in ''Heroes'' she's surprisingly affectionate to Sanaki and holds her like a mother would.
* DualWielding: She did this with Ragnell and Alondite.
* FamousAncestor: To the Begnion imperial family.
* FounderOfTheKingdom: She was the first ruler of Begnion.
* HeroinesPreferSwords: And she sure did with both Ragnell and Alondite in hand.
* InterspeciesRomance: Altina and Lehran were not the first Beorc and Laguz to become romantically involved, but the were the first such couple to have a child, the very first Branded. Sadly, the birth of their child caused Lehran to lose his Laguz powers. Fearing that a new race war would be caused by the Laguz panicking over being absorbed by the Beorc entirely, Altina and Lehran separated and their child's birth was covered up. She later took an unidentified Beorc man as her second husband, and presented him as the father of her child.
* MightyGlacier: In ''Heroes'', she has high Atk, great Res, and good HP and Def, but abysmal Spd, with Ragnell and Alondite dropping it further. However, she's able to strike twice consecutively on either phase, which helps make up for her lack of Spd.
* OneHandedZweihander: She was strong enough to wield the huge swords Ragnell and Alondite with one hand each.
* PowerFloats: In ''Heroes'', she floats in the air as a sign of her sheer power.
* PrecursorHeroes: She is one of the ancient Three Heroes who fought to seal Yune.
* PromotedToPlayable: Becomes playable in ''Fire Emblem Heroes'' as a Mythic Hero.
* SecretArt: She's the only character in ''Heroes'' to learn the Twin Blades Special, which boosts damage based off of the user's Res, and it also negates [[ArmorPiercingAttack any skill that mitigates damage taken]], such as Close Call or Brave Ike's Urvan.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: The sole female of Ashera's chosen champions.
* StrongFamilyResemblance: Altina looks like a fully-grown version of her descendant, Sanaki. She even mentions it in their Christmas variant for ''Heroes.''
* TokenHuman: She is the only Beorc among the Three Heroes as Soan, Lehran, and Dheginsea represent each type of Laguz.

The goddess of chaos, and the "dark goddess" sealed inside Lehran's Medallion. Ashera's other half. Talks to Micaiah through a bird (also named Yune) while sealed in the medallion, and talks to everyone through Micaiah's body after being unsealed.

->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/KumiSakuma (Japanese, ''Radiant Dawn''), Mik Kuhlman (English, ''Radiant Dawn''), Creator/MeganHollingshead (English, ''VideoGame/FireEmblemHeroes'', credited as Megan Lee)
----
* AboveGoodAndEvil: Claims that she and Ashera are both this. Ironically, she's benevolent, sensitive and fully admits that gods are flawed (in contrast to Ashera's TautologicalTemplar tendencies). Yune explains that she governs Chaos in ''all'' of its forms, including positive aspects such as growth, and negative aspects such as anarchy. Good and evil are simply not part of the equation.
* AllMythsAreTrue: Subverted. Yes, there ''is'' a god of chaos contained in the medallion, but she is not a ''dark'' god - that was a lie to keep people away from the medallion because of her PowerIncontinence. Yune is otherwise kind and loves humans; had Ashnard unsealed her with the intent to devastate the world, her first act would more likely be to devastate ''him''.
* AllThereInTheManual: Yune's human form never makes a proper appearance in ''Radiant Dawn'''s story, not even having a gameplay portrait -- she's only briefly seen as [[ElementalShapeshifter blue fire mimicking a human appearance]] in the ending. Her true appearance is only shown in the extra character portraits.
* BadassAdorable: Her form is that of a small child, but she's a full-blown goddess of chaos.
* BerserkButton: Being called a dark goddess.
* BigGood: She is the one guiding the party towards the final battle in Part 4.
* ButNowIMustGo: Averted. After Ashera's defeat (and reabsorbing her), she says she has to leave as gods have failed humanity and made them weak... But Ike encourages not to as although humans don't have much use for gods, they show humans what to aspire to and give humans a reason to grow. When she asks Ike if she can be forgiven for the pain she has caused, Ike answers that as she has already forgiven humans, why couldn't they do the same- Which finally convinces her to try again (as the goddess Ashunera).
* CallAHumanAMeatbag: Not having a corporeal form herself, she has a habit of addressing people this way.
* ChaosIsEvil:
** Subverted. When everything goes tits up at the end of Part 3, she's the one aiding humanity.
** ''Heavily'' {{Discussed|Trope}} when Yune admits that she ''could'' have been the dark god everyone feared. She explains that both order and chaos are morally neutral, with both positive and negative aspects. Yune avoided succumbing to the negative aspects of chaos because she spent her imprisonment surrounded by the songs of the heron clan, then later by Elena and Mist, preserving her connection to humanity. Ashera by contrast spent her sleep in complete isolation, [[GoMadFromTheIsolation causing her to forget her connection to humanity and succumbing to the negative aspects of order]].
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: Red eyes and red hair.
* DarkIsNotEvil: Despite her title of being called the "Dark God", Yune is actually a benevolent goddess who cares about humanity. This is reflected in ''Heroes'', where Yune is a Mythic Hero of Dark, and the first Dark Mythic Hero to be released.
* DidntSeeThatComing: Like her counterpart, Yune was unaware that the Branded could even exist. She initially thought that Micaiah was completely unique, only to be taken by surprise when she encountered others in the army. Yune thinks their existence is a wonderful development, as it shows mankind's capacity to grow and change without the influence of the gods, growth and change both being positive aspects of Chaos.
* DroppingTheBombshell: It changes very little in the context of the game, but she drops an absolutely ''brutal'' one to Stefan during a base conversation in the Endgame that drives him to briefly GoMadFromTheRevelation.
-->'''Stefan:''' It’s said that a union between laguz and beorc is a crime against the goddess. That’s what we’ve always been told.\\
'''Yune:''' That’s silly. I’ve never heard anything of the sort.
* ElementalShapeshifter: Her true form is that blue fire that comes from the medallion. Ashera having a corporeal body implies that Yune could create one of her own if she weren't weak from being unsealed.
* GenkiGirl: Comes with the territory, although she's more subdued than you'd expect for a goddess of chaos.
* GodIsFlawed: Declares all gods as this, including herself:
-->'''Sanaki''': I don't understand. How can you be a goddess and not know? I thought gods were perfect beings who knew everything!.\\
'''Yune''': Gods? Perfect? Where did you get that idea? You haven't met a lot of gods, have you?\\
'''Sanaki''': Well, no. But divinity created life from nothing! Surely only perfect beings could do that!\\
'''Yune''': We did create life, and can do many things that you creatures of flesh can't. But that doesn't make us perfect. It just means we can make mistakes on a much grander scale... We're not what you've been taught, and we're much closer to you skin-wearers than some will admit. But we do make mistakes... Sometimes we make terrible mistakes. Sometimes all it takes is one emotional outburst and the entire world is drowning underwater!
* GodOfChaos: Her title says it all. However, Yune is a ''rare heroic example'' of this trope, embodying the positive aspects of chaos and change. Yune [[DiscussedTrope acknowledges]] that she has the potential to become an evil goddess of anarchy and destruction, but avoided that path by preserving her connection to humanity.
* HeroWithBadPublicity: A peculiar example; the reason the "Dark God" legend was created was done in order to prevent judgment day from coming to pass-the Three Heroes spread legends of the 'dark god' contained within the Fire Emblem to discourage warfare (as Ashera decided that she and Yune would enter a deep slumber for one thousand years, and if upon awakening the beorc and laguz there was to be no fighting and they maintained a prosperous peace throughout this time, the two would reunite into Ashunera; however, if they failed to do so, she would rain divine retribution for the people's sins upon them). Unfortunately, it failed.
* ImmortalImmaturity: Played with, as she is Ashunera's emotions - which led to her causing a great flood, so Ashera has a point in considering her this, which is why she's been sealed away for so long. She was apparently like this before being sealed in the medallion, though as Ashera was the one that wanted to destroy her to "purify" herself until Lehran convinced her to simply seal her, probably Ashera was simply paranoid. Ironically this works out to Yune's favor as her immaturity allows her to better empathize with people, whereas Ashera coldly decides that people are imperfections that need to be erased.
* {{Irony}}: Despite [[BerserkButton hating being called a dark goddess]], she ends up as a Dark-element Mythic in ''Heroes''.
* LittleMissSnarker: Her default form (if she had a body) is quite small, but her sass is quite large.
* TheMcCoy: Obviously, being the embodiment of Ashunera's emotions. Which turns out to be a good thing as it allows her to empathize with humans, contrasting the emotionless Ashera who sees them as nothing but imperfections.
* MsExposition: Throughout Part 4, especially during the endgame.
* PiecesOfGod: She is one half of Ashunera, the creator goddess of Tellius. When Ashunera discarded her emotions, it became the goddess known as Yune.
* PowerFloats: In ''Heroes'', Yune is one of the few flying units who doesn't have a mount, floating under her own power.
* PowerIncontinence: Even while contained in the medallion, she can't control her power very well. This is why most people who hold the medallion go mad, rather than the "dark" god "corrupting" people like everyone thinks.
* PromotedToPlayable: Makes her playable debut in ''Heroes'', following the trend of "Mythic" Heroes being mythical figures. She is classed as a Green Flier that inflicts stat debuffs in a wide area.
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld: Still looks like a kid, even though she's thousands of years old. More notably, she looks ''considerably'' younger than Ashera, her other half.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Played with, she's nice enough but she also states at length how it wouldn't take her much effort to bury the cast if she really wanted to.
* RedheadInGreen: Her only in-game appearance in her original form is as a ghostly spirit, but her official art shows her as this.
* RedHerring: ''Path of Radiance'' and most of ''Radiant Dawn'' set her up as the standard Medeus archetype. Then she comes out of the medallion, and she turns out to be benevolent and even personable, while it's her OrderIsNotGood other half Ashera that fills the villain role.
* ResurrectionSickness: The main reason that GodsHandsAreTied and Yune doesn't take a more active role is that she is weak from her unsealing. She is unable to do much more than give the main characters their class promotions and bless weapons, both of which tire her out. It's also implied this is why she doesn't manifest a physical body beyond the little bird and has to speak through Micaiah.
* SecretArt: She's the only character in ''Heroes'' to learn Chaos Named, which inflicts a debuff to foes within three columns of her if her Res is greater than theirs by at least 3, debuffing their highest stat by -5. [[note]]Atk is treated as being 15 less than their displayed value due to weapons being 14 or 16 Mt, adding to Atk.[[/note]]
* SplitPersonalityMerge: Sort of. After Ashera is struck down, she absorbs her, which leads to the restoration of Ashunera as GodIsGood once again.
* VocalDissonance: Despite appearing as a small child, she has an adult-like voice in the English version of ''Heroes''. [[JustifiedTrope This makes sense]] considering that she is the Goddess of Chaos.
* WalkingSpoiler: She's the Goddess of Chaos and is sealed in Lehran's Medallion. Anything more about her role in the story spoils the big plot twist at the end of Part 4.

!!Ashunera (Astaryune)
[[quoteright:207:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ashunera.png]]

The goddess that created the world and life that lives in it. She was worshiped by the Zunanma, the ancestors of the Beorc and Laguz, revering her as the Goddess of Dawn for the color of her hair. When their descendants begin fighting each other, she tried to stop the conflict, inadvertently starting the Great Flood that washed away the world save the continent Tellius. She split herself into two separate form: Ashera and Yune.
----
* DidntSeeThatComing: The Zunanma were the only life forms on Tellius that evolved on their own rather than be created by Ashunera. This made her, as well as both Ashera and Yune, unable to predict the actions of both Beorc and Laguz, and the very existence of the Branded was completely unknown to them.
* TheMaker: PlayedWith. She created the water and the world and the life that comes from it, but she never directly created the Zunanma, the ancestral species that evolved to the Beorc and Laguz. It was said that the Zunanma were created through evolution, not from the god's intervention.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: When the Zunanma evolved into the separate races and then started fighting each other over their differences, she attempted to reconcile them by giving them the names beorc and laguz. All this did was solidify their beliefs that they were too different from each other, leading to more fighting.
* PowerIncontinence: She was responsible for the Great Flood that drowned most of the world besides the continent Tellius, by complete accident when she tried to stop the Beorc and Laguz from fighting each other.
* WalkingSpoiler: Her existence is corresponded with her two separate entities, which are also {{Walking Spoiler}} themselves.
