[[folder:Harry Eastwood]]
!!Harold Quentin Eastwood
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tvt_eastwood_9020.png]]
A lazy, womanizing fox with a caffiene addiction, pretty much functions as the DesignatedHero.

* AccidentalAimingSkills: He's a terrible shot, ''except'' when he aims to miss, whereupon his shots suddenly become inconveniently accurate.
* AnnoyingYoungerSibling: Eastwood [[http://exterminatusnow.co.uk/2011-05-02/comic/the-cesspool/maintaining-a-reputation/ claims to have a younger brother that he has to have had to bail out of trouble.]] Whether he was just saying that to get a rib on Lothar remains to be seen.
* BadassLongcoat: Eastwood started out with a black leather trench. These days, his outfit seems to be based off of Columbo's.
** [[http://exterminatusnow.co.uk/2010-05-09/comic/team-scramble/suddenly-words-thousands-of-them/ The change may be because Blasphemy ate his old trench]].
* BadLiar: After being threatened by Lothar's dad to keep his boy safe, he started ActingUnnatural in a way that Lothar immediately caught on to. He also once claimed to have slept with Wildfire in front of his teammates, who quickly call him on it.
* BerserkButton: What will happen if you either insult, try to take, or stand between him and "her" (i.e. his Nescafe).
* BrilliantButLazy: "Brilliant" would be pushing it, but Harry can be surprisingly competent when he wants to be. Or when his life is on the line. [[BornLucky Being really lucky helps.]]
* CasanovaWannabe: If he's lucky, the least he tends to get is a slap to the face for his efforts. If he's unlucky, he's been known to get maced instead. And he's not talking about the pepper spray, either.
* CunningLikeAFox: Oh goodness, [[AvertedTrope no.]] The man can charitably be described as a lucky moron. He will repeatedly buy the same kind of toaster, despite it immediately getting possessed by demons. His plans tend to be "Blow it up or shoot it," and if a scheme has more than two steps it is fairly out of character.
* FantasticRacism: His first reaction to meeting Rogue was assuming he was part of a Daemon worshipping sect simply because he was a cat. His attitudes towards other cultures and societies are also... not exactly politically correct. However, Virus points out that Eastwood's behaviour isn't out of any genuine hatred on his part, far from it. He's just really ignorant and stupid.
* HalfDressedCartoonAnimal: Downplayed. While he goes pantsless, he does regularly wear a shirt, his trench, and shoes.
* IdiotHero: He's a womanizing moron who still manages to be surprisingly effective in the field.
* IKnowMortalKombat: He learned how to make [[http://exterminatusnow.co.uk/2006-09-29/comic/bukawk-eee/beacuse-a-robot-egg-wouldnt-be-as-effective/ mechanical attack chickens]] from ''VideoGame/WorldOfWarcraft''. And the cock apparently thinks it's the [[http://exterminatusnow.co.uk/2012-01-23/comic/the-bookend-of-unimaginable-power/a-mans-home-is-his-fortress/ Engineer]] from ''VideoGame/TeamFortress2''.
* InformedAttribute: He claims that people call him "Dirty Harry" due to his unorthodox methods, his large collection of porn, and that he smells like he hasn't washed in over a week. They're all right, of course, except that no-one has actually called him that throughout the comic except himself (which would make sense for the comic anyway).
* LetsGetDangerous: Whenever [[spoiler:Morth becomes involved in the plot,]] Eastwood gains a sudden burst of competence. Interrupting his coffee flow also can make him so intimidating he scares ''Lothar.''
* MustHaveCaffeine: Being reminded that standing between him and his coffee supply is an [[WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes army of giant spiders]] is enough to convince Eastwood to charge straight on through. He refers to Nescafe as "her", and when Lothar suggests that he take away his coffee to give Eastwood a chance to give up, he threatens to break Lothar's arm. His ''cybernetic'' arm. Said incident was also one of the few times Lothar was ''visibly scared''.
* NoGuyWantsToBeChased: He's so used to being treated with disgust by any woman he talks to, that when Leyana starts "flirting unashamedly" with him, he panics and begs his friends to bail him out.
* NotSoDifferentRemark: To Silas Morth. First noted in the most deadpan way possible, however.
-->'''Virus''': ''[describing Morth]'' A vile wretched creature, who only associates with the most ''evil'' and ''depraved'' things of this world.\\
'''Eastwood''': He's also my oldest and dearest friend.\\
'''Rogue''': Oddly enough, that revelation makes ''complete'' sense.\\
'''Lothar''': Hey, I was about to make a joke along those lines, but he beat me to it.
* PaletteSwap: When the comic first began, he originally looked like a greyscaled version of Tails, but with a single tear and wearing a trench coat. By the time the comic was put on hiatus, he was redesigned to look far more unique, most notably altering his bangs so they look more like they come from over the top of his head instead of mimicking Tails'.
* PornStash: So large it brought the CABAL network down for a week once.
* PrayerIsALastResort: He is generally far far from devout, but when confronted with the horror of being raped and eaten by a spider daemoness, he begs Tyrus to save him.
* [[PsychoExGirlfriend Psycho Ex-Boyfriend]]: While Eastwood has probably had to dodge these, he himself ''became'' one, when his former girlfriend (who still sends him gifts ironically enough) got together with someone else. He had the new beau ''declared a heretic and executed'' on false pretenses in response. It turns out said beau really was a dangerous heretic, but [[AccidentalTruth that was only found out after the fact]].
* RevolversAreJustBetter: Wields a .44 modded with seven chambers. Possibly because he wants to be Dirty Harry.
* SuicideAsComedy: He really hates spiders, and when confronted with the threat of being raped and eaten by a spider daemoness, he makes [[http://exterminatusnow.co.uk/2015-06-08/comic/tangled-web/trigger-unhappy/ an attempt]] at AteHisGun. When the gun turns out to be empty (since he emptied it into a door previously), he goes EtTuBrute at it.
* SmoochOfVictory:
** He receives one from Jamilla when he distracts the assassin holding her hostage long enough for the retiring Inquisitor to perform a ClickHello on him.
** He ''hopes'' to receive another one from her after their first major conflict against Silas Morth. Unfortunately for him, saving her involved him accidentally shooting her in the arm, so he ends up receiving a punch to the jaw instead.
* TriggerHappy: Once shot a suspect four times, though he claims it was only three (the second shot just grazed him), whilst he was in the process of surrendering. According to Harry, they were supposed to be warning shots. ''[[AccidentalAimingSkills Supposed]]'' to be.
* UnreliableExpositor: Tries to claim that he and Inquisitor Nadia Meryl Deket had a thing... as the accompanying flashback panel indicates he pinched her butt and was assaulted in response. He tries to claim that he and Wildfire also had a thing, when the people involved were there. He backpedals and asks them to forget it but claims that [[BlatantLies he totally nailed the redhead.]]
* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: His hatred and terror of spiders is only outweighed by his addiction to coffee.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Virus]]
!!Syrus "The Virus" Zuviel
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tvt_virus_8288.png]]
A cowardly rat with no common sense, is sometimes TheSmartGuy as he has some book sense.

* ButtMonkey: A lot of the comic's humor is done at his expense.
* CatchPhrase: "Goit."
* ChosenConceptionPartner: To a black widow spider daemoness. She needs to mate with and kill a male suitor for a ritual to be completed. Virus is "talked into" the first part, but bails before the second.
* DrivesLikeCrazy: ''No one'' will let him even think about driving a vehicle. Even the [[EliteMooks Black Guard]], whom are trained to combat daemons head-on, are ''[[http://exterminatusnow.co.uk/2007-07-20/comic/shades-of-black-and-white/the-only-thing-he-can-drive-is-people-insane/ terrified]]'' at the thought of Virus being granted driving privileges.
** YankTheDogsChain: Performed hilariously [[http://exterminatusnow.co.uk/2013-07-02/comic/the-phone-book-of-the-dead/cockblocked/ here]].
* FullyDressedCartoonAnimal: The only member of the team who wears a complete outfit, while Harry goes pantsless and Lothar and Rogue are almost completely nude.
* GuileHero: Has shades of this whenever he's the focus of the plot. In particular, placing a tracer in the bag with the bookend, his escape from the sea-cultists, and how he outwits the spider demon.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: He has the closest bond with Eastwood, and while they both occasionally get on each other's nerves, they're friends to the end.
* NoodleIncident: We don't know what caused his DrivesLikeCrazy reputation, only that it was apparently devastating enough that the entire Inquisition refuses to let him drive anything again.
* TheSmartGuy: Seems to be the one on the team with the most book knowledge; after all, it was his subject during their brief stint as teachers. He also seems to know quite a bit [[http://exterminatusnow.co.uk/2009-07-25/comic/big-trouble-in-little-taika/digression-is-the-better-part-of-valour/ on working computers]], though he thinks [[http://exterminatusnow.co.uk/2011-10-10/comic/condescending-angelic-based-artificial-lifeform/antagonistic-intelligence/ CABAL is a douche]].
* TokenGoodTeammate: Sorta. He's at least not as much of an asshole as the other three, and at least tries to do his job.
* WouldntHitAGirl: Averted against Wildfire. She's just ''[[IdiotHero that]]'' [[UnwantedAssistance annoying]].
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Lothar Hex]]
!!Lothar Hex
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tvt_lothar_7674.png]]
A [[AxCrazy trigger-happy]] genetically-engineered cyborg echidna who'd have a criminal record spanning pages and pages if he weren't recruited by the Inquisition as a mercenary. Pretty much is TheBigGuy of the group (or perhaps more accurately TheBrute, since he is a lot more ruthless than most big guy heroes).

* AxCrazy: Compared to the other three, Lothar's the one who will legitimately choose violence as his first answer to a problem, and he's got major anger issues to boot.
* BerserkButton:
** Damaging his hat will make him want you dead immediately.
** His fury is amplified even further if you threaten his family. Rogue learns this the hard way, and just barely manages to avoid getting gruesomely murdered.
* BigBrotherInstinct: By the gods, do '''NOT''' mess with his family. Not even your soul will make it out in one piece. Rogue regrets it when he does.
* BigEater: His new cybernetics run on his own metabolism, so he needs to eat a lot to keep his blood sugar up. During the RedHerring arc, Lothar is desperately looking for sugary food and drink since the war going on between soft drink companies at the same time has cut him off from his favorite source of sugar and caffeine.
* TheBigGuy: He's the team's strongest member, combining his natural echidna strength with his cybernetic legs and arm to cause major damage and withstand oncoming punishment.
* ChainsawGood: He initially has a circular saw in his cybernetic arm but when it needs to be replaced he upgrades to a chainsaw because they're more durable and look cooler.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: Was genetically bred from fossilized echidna DNA and "raised" in an insanely abusive environment by his handlers with virtually no sense of structure or familiarity whatsoever other than his brutal training.
* ExtremeOmnivore: As a BigEater (from a very rough background) he's not picky, especially if he's running low on power for his cybernetics. [[spoiler:He'll even drink a vat of Kool-Aid with a dead guy floating in it that is made of more dead people]], his only complaint being that there wasn't enough sweetener.
* GenreSavvy: Demonstrated [[http://exterminatusnow.co.uk/2010-07-17/comic/voiding-your-warranty/this-aint-no-game/ here]], as the team explores a secret research facility clearly inspired by [[Videogame/HalfLife Black Mesa]]...
-->'''Lothar''': So we've encountered the tiny spidery enemies which'll annoy us constantly throughout the mission. Just be on the lookout for convenient exploding barrels and ammo caches.
-->'''Syrus''' ''(holding up a FPS-style medkit)'': Hey, look what I found!
* HappilyAdopted: Was eventually taken in and raised by a mercenary he had tried to ambush after his escape from the lab, who showed him what was very likely the first form of affection Lothar had ever known.
* HeroicComedicSociopath: Since he was a dirty criminal before his crimes were absolved as an Inquisitor's mercenary, his sense of humor is very dry. He's also one to engage in schadenfreude quite a bit.
* HiddenDepths:
** He is interested in TV shows for kids. Justified in-universe as trying to make up for his nonexistent infancy, and then [[ZigZaggingTrope Zigzagged]] when you hear his "theories" about them.
** The Cesspool arc provides a lot of opportunities to see Lothar's sensitive side. He returns to the Cesspool mercenary bar to defend his adopted brother Kyle, and even gives his dad a coy hug upon meeting him again. And when Rogue threatens to have the lot of them arrested, Lothar goes into UnstoppableRage to protect them.
* {{Jerkass}}: All of the main characters are dicks, but this guy is ''easily'' the meanest of the group.
* LastOfHisKind: Lothar, as an echidna, has stated more than once that he is the last of his kind (being a cyborg to boot, it really doesn't help him blend into a crowd). Considering that in the various Sonic-based continuities, echidnas as a race generally are absent and/or extinct until their presence is required for storylines, and that there's been absolutely no references to Knuckles or any other echidnas existing in the same world as the group (and most likely ''never will be''), Lothar could very well be the absolute only echidna left in-universe.
** Heck, if the ''TabletopGame/{{Warhammer 40000}}'' elements are any indication, ''Exterminatus Now'' is probably set a ''long'' time after the Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog series. (It helps that the series makes references to locations that exist in [[ComicBook/SonicTheHedgehogArchieComics the Archie Sonic series]], such as Mercia, and the Kingdom of Acorn.)
** The hard-to-find materials for the group's previous attempt at a Sonic / 40K crossover state that the Echidnas of that universe were completely and utterly wiped out by Fernex along the lines of the Eldar and Tzeentch. Lothar was cloned from fossils.
* LightningBruiser: While not as agile as Rogue, Lothar is faster than both Eastwood and Virus and the physically strongest of the four.
* MultipleChoicePast: The original backstory was that he was created by an Overlander genetic lab, from which he escaped, and later was captured by Robotnik and partially roboticized. When the comic started, the part about being a genetic experiment was kept (though it was no longer an Overlander experiment), but the origin of his bionics was changed to that listed on the DoesThatSoundLikeFunToYou page. However, Eastwood and Virus think it odd that he was apparently experimented on ''twice'', [[spoiler:so they asked his adoptive father for the real story and found out they're just replacements for the limbs he lost when he [[http://exterminatusnow.co.uk/2011-11-08/comic/non-storyline/randoms/retcon-artist/ blundered into a land mine]].]]
* PaletteSwap: In the comic's early days, he was basically Knuckles but with three cyber limbs, a cyber eye, and a cowboy hat, and the red fur exchanged for purple. His design went through multiple changes, ending with his dreads looking far more spiky, his chest insignia being removed in favor of dog tags, his fur becoming black, and his muzzle being colored darker.
* PsychoForHire: He grew up as one. He racked up a laundry list of charges, but being hired on as a mercenary for a Mobian Inquisitor caused all of them to be swept under the rug.
* SwissArmyWeapon: His arm cannon can have multiple different functions. He even hints that we haven't seen them all. Most of the time, he alternates between the blaster and the chainsaw.
* UndyingLoyalty: To an extent, he's this towards the gang. He will happily manhandle them if they piss him off enough, but he won't go out of his way to betray them.
** It also counts towards the mercenaries who raised him. Best shown when he offers to help clear Kyle's name, and also when he engages in a violent brawl with Rogue when the latter threatens them.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Rogue]]
!!Ryoushi "Rogue" Nekkitou
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tvt_rogue_3703.png]]
Feline member of a daemon-hunting order who seems to be the most well-balanced person on the entire team. Not that that's saying much. (And he has a lot of arrogance and overconfidence to make up for it.) He was temporarily cycled out, but soon returned to the team (and by "soon", we mean "two arcs".) His common sense and lack of idiotic behavior have him function as TheLancer.

* HalfDressedCartoonAnimal: Like Eastwood and Lothar, his wardrobe is very limited, but humorously, he actually wears MORE when he's asleep, as he's seen wearing shorts after being woken up in the middle of the night.
* LaserBlade: Like all Daemon Hunters, Rogue carries a Beam Sword, an ancient, holy weapon that uses a special void connection as a power source. Normal usage allows for roughly two decades of usage before the sword needs recharging (which can only be done by specialists), but thanks to his team constantly stealing it and using it for shits and giggles, they manage to use it up in five years.
* LawfulStupid: He sees anything mildly heretical, daemonic or law-breaking as bad, and treats it as such. This is brought to a head when he threatens all of Lothar's family with arrest or death after a particularly heated argument.
* MundaneUtility: Despite his annoyance about the others using his sword for random crap, [[HypocriticalHumor he's guilty of it himself]], such as using it to shave.
* LightningBruiser: He's fast, and he can use his weapons to absurd efficiency-- just not as much as he thinks he can.
* OnlySaneMan: Compared to the womanizing idiot Harry, the also idiotic ButtMonkey Virus, and the AxCrazy cyborg Lothar, Rogue is the closest example of an actual decent person among the team. His only major flaw is his ego alongside LawfulStupid tendencies.

!Major Characters

[[folder:Antonius Schaefer]]
!!Antonius Schaefer
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tvt_schaefer_6046.png]]
A bear who serves as the cast's superior and Commander-In-Chief of the Meridian Sector of the Mobian Inquisition. Likes to think of himself as an all-seeing, all-knowing, calculating {{chessmaster}}, when in reality he is a blustering, incompetent pervert who only manages to get anything done thanks to his eternally put-upon adjutant, Inquisitor Riktor Simmons.

That said, Schaeffer might be a moronic sexual deviant, but he’s an Inquisitor, and part of that involves being nigh-on impossible to kill and having a punch that can cold-cock a rhino.

* AsskickingLeadsToLeadership: If issue #380 is any indication, [[http://exterminatusnow.co.uk/2011-09-27/comic/the-cesspool/a-would-heroically-struggle-to-the-death-with-again he's genuinely awesome when he plays to his strengths]], as demonstrated by taking down a CorruptCorporateExecutive on his own, armed with nothing but a pistol. Amusingly combines with ThePeterPrinciple, as he is now promoted to a position well outside his field of competence.
* BadBoss: He regularly, and persistently, sends the team on missions which he hopes will lead to their deaths. Unfortunately for him, they have a pesky tendency to survive every single time.
* BestialityIsDepraved: Schaefer has something of a (not-so) secret chicken fetish (not anthromorphic chicken people, actual chickens). Harry and Syrus have been blackmailing him about this for ''years''.
* BearsAreBadNews: What little we've seen of him in actual combat proves he's earned his position.
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: WordOfGod states that while Schaefer is a moronic sexual deviant, you don't get to be an inquisitor by being a wimp, let alone survive as one long enough to be promoted to his post. [[http://exterminatusnow.co.uk/2011-09-27/comic/the-cesspool/a-would-heroically-struggle-to-the-death-with-again/ Here's proof]].
** WordOfGod went on to further state that they see Schaefer as an amazing field agent that ended up falling victim to ThePeterPrinciple and thus became an incompetent bureaucrat.
* FantasticRacism: When he finds out all of Silas Morth's followers have black and white markings, he attempts to have every single Inquisition member that also has this trait removed from service. This does not go over well with his staff, nor his legal department.
* GlowingEyes: It's not revealed exactly as to why, but his eyes are nothing but blank white slates.
* ThePeterPrinciple: Combines this with AsskickingLeadsToLeadership. He was a legitimately badass field agent as his fight with Edward Bay indicated, but he's stuck in a position that no longer uses his best skills.
* RetconningTheWiki: [[http://exterminatusnow.co.uk/cast/schaefer/ He seems to edit his own profile.]]
* SarcasmBlind: As far as Simmons is concerned anyway. According to him, Simmons' tone makes it hard to tell (for anyone but him that is).
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Riktor Simmons]]
!!Riktor Simmons
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tvt_simmons_1213.png]]
A stoat acting as Schaefer's Aide and right-hand man. Summed up as essentially being very good at his job, but otherwise a snarky git. Has more faith in the team's abilities than Schaefer does, even if that faith is based more on considering them ''incredibly'' lucky rather than being legitimately good at their jobs (which admittedly has quite a bit of truth to it).

* BeleagueredAssistant: Oh so very much. He seems to be the only one who really knows what's going on in the Inquisition.
* HypercompetentSidekick: While Schaefer is the one in charge that calls the shots, Simmons is the one that has all of the information.
* ImagineSpot: Has one regarding himself becoming the head of the Inquisition.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: His brief stint commanding the Inquisition whilst Schaefer recovers from being shot shows him to be ''mostly'' this.
* ServileSnarker: He puts up with Schaefer because of the job. That doesn't mean he likes him.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Jamilla]]
!!Jamilla "The Elusive Camel" Townsend
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tvt_jamilla_6319.png]]
A penguin spy working for the Inquisitors, though she has worked with the main characters before. Though she was offered a chance to join the group, she declined, citing that she didn't want to end up being a [[TheSmurfettePrinciple cliche]]. She had a little something for Eastwood, but after being shot by him (accidentally), their relationship has hit a snag.

* NonIndicativeName: Her codename is "The Elusive Camel", but she's actually a Penguin. When asked if she couldn't have picked a better one, she explains all the good code names were taken, and it is either that or "Urinating Flounder". She made the right choice, it seems.
* NonMammalMammaries: And they have not gone unnoticed in-universe either.
* OnlySaneWoman: Frequently the voice of rationality when in the company of the four main characters.
* RescueRomance: Eh, ''kinda''. She warms up to Eastwood ''much'' more after his actions help save her from one of Morth's assassins, even kissing him on the cheek (described by Simmons as "the only woman who had ever kissed him without the influence of excessive amounts of alcohol", no less). Unfortunately, him accidentally shooting her in the arm when it comes time to rescue her from Morth himself (who is Eastwood's ''actual'' target) seems to have ruined his chances with her for now.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: The reason [[DefiedTrope she refused to join the team]]. ''Strongly'' refused, at that.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Silas Morth]]
!!Silas Morth
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tvt_morth_6971.png]]
A badger who turned to becoming a rogue Inquisitor and daemon-worshipping cult-master. Once Eastwood's best friend and partner, Morth went rogue and is considered one of the most dangerous heretics on the planet. A villain of the old school, he has been defeated by the cast once, but escaped before they could finish him off.

* BigBad: He's the biggest villain the cast have faced so far. All the others were small-time cults and rogue scientists.
* ChronicBackStabbingDisorder: He's a Patterner cultist, it's part of the territory. He formed his original cult with the plan to sacrifice their souls along with their other victims, and made sure to only recruit complete idiots so none of them would see it coming.
* CrazyPrepared: [[http://exterminatusnow.co.uk/2012-05-20/comic/the-bookend-of-unimaginable-power/karma-chameleon/ Took extra steps from being betrayed himself.]]
* DemonOfHumanOrigin: The end goal of his plans in both arcs he features in. [[spoiler:In the second arc he succeeds.]]
* DrunkWithPower: After [[spoiler:ascending]], Morth relishes in his new power and tries his best to tear apart the main characters. Morth's inflated ego [[spoiler:allows Eastwood to easily outwit and defeat him.]]
* EvilFormerFriend: To Eastwood. Not that he seemed to be a very ''[[http://exterminatusnow.co.uk/2007-03-02/comic/black-and-white/more-flashbacks-than-an-episode-of-lost/ good]]'' friend, though.
* EvilIsHammy: Best exemplified when Jamilla tells his cultists that the Greater Daemon he's summoning is named "[[FluffyTheTerrible Kevin]]." He yells at them all to [[BigShutUp shut up]] and rants at them to just do their jobs to make him immortal.
* EvilLaugh: Lets one out [[spoiler:[[OneWingedAngel as he's transforming]]]].
* EvilMakesYouMonstrous: [[spoiler:[[http://exterminatusnow.co.uk/2012-07-29/comic/the-bookend-of-unimaginable-power/the-black-and-white-beast/ He transforms into a giant monster during a summoning ritual after his plans start going south]].]]
* EyeScream: Had his eye stabbed out during his first mission after graduation.
* FaceHeelTurn: Before the start of the comic, he was an Inquisitor, but turned to the power of the Dark Gods.
* GroinAttack: Is on the receiving end of one of these during his first battle with Eastwood, ironically when he has Eastwood on the ropes and makes a snide remark about how his former friend might have gotten somewhere in life if he'd thought with his brain more than his balls.
* IHaveYouNowMyPretty: Displays this behavior around Jamilla. After he's successfully drugged her and she's passed out, he even gropes one of her breasts. The Greater Daemon he's supposed to be sacrificing her to, Kevin, was not particularly happy about that last part.
-->'''Kevin''': ''Please'' don't molest my sacrifice.
* NoMrBondIExpectYouToDine: Has dinner with Jamilla before attempting to sacrifice her. As he reasons, a diabolical villain can still have some civility. Turns out, it also made it far easier to prepare her for the sacrifice, with drugs hidden in her wine.
* NotSoDifferentRemark: He tries this on Eastwood. Even for a {{Jerkass}} like him, though, Eastwood has a few good counterpoints.
* OneWingedAngel: [[spoiler: His Ascended Demon form after injecting himself with the bile from a Great Hound]]
* SurroundedByIdiots: On purpose; Morth reasons that anyone with any intelligence would object to being sacrificed to the Dark Gods, so he intentionally surrounds himself with people too stupid to catch on.
* YoungerThanTheyLook: Due to his black-and-white color and facial hair, he looks a good deal older and wizened than he really is, when in reality he's the same age as Eastwood, so late 20s at the most.
[[/folder]]

!The "B-Team"
A top flight Inquisitorial warband made up of a bunch of consummate professionals that represent the opposite of the main heroes in every way.

[[folder:Tropes applying to the B-Team as a whole]]
* TheAce: An entire team of this, to the point where they are able to get away with ignoring their superiors.
* BadassCrew: Are seen as this in-universe, and every storyline featuring them confirms this.
* CowboyCop: How they are usually portrayed, or at least Inquisitor Damien. However, they are so successful, they can get away with it.
* ElitesAreMoreGlamorous: The text book definition of this trope, they are probably the poster boys.
** FamedInStory: Well respected by their superiors and other Inquisition teams.
* TrueCompanions: As opposed to the main characters who are VitriolicBestBuds at best and constantly at each other's throats, Team Damien are real friends and comrades, and are intensely loyal to each other.
* WeDoTheImpossible: In a different sense from the main characters. While Team Harry are SurprisinglyEliteCannonFodder, Team Damien are really that awesomely badass and competent.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Damien Jonson]]
!!Inquisitor Damien Jonson
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/damien_80.png]]
The leader of the B-team, and its true leader, as opposed to designated hero. The exact opposite of Harry, he is a consummate lady's man and a very successful inquisitor who has become the poster boy for the Inquisition. Just who trained him to be that good?

* TheAce: And he has the arrogance to go along with it.
* AwesomeEgo: He's good, he knows it all too well, and won't hesitate to tell anyone who will listen.
* TheCaptain: Subverted, though he carries himself around as the leader of his group, his rank is no higher than any other inquisitor's, unless there are other ranks we are not yet aware of.
* TheCasanova: Unlike Harry, he is quite successful and doesn't need to be underhanded, but apparently doesn't like keeping the same woman for extended periods of time and considers them expendable, making him an ''exaggeration'' of Eastwood in this sense.
* TheCharmer: His official profile even lists "Charm, wit, and sexual magnetism" as his primary weapons!
* ChickMagnet: Also as opposed to Harold, the women are drawn to '''him'''.
* {{Expy}}: Of various CowboyCop archetypes, but also has the makings of classical casanova's like Film/JamesBond (such as bedding intelligence agents).
* {{Foil}}: To Harry. Whereas Harry is a dimwit who fails miserably at bedding women and gets lucky with missions he's assigned to, Damien is genuinely successful and capable, both in achieving mission objectives and winning the hearts of women.
* TheHero: The most straight example in the comic. Even then, he's kind of an AntiHero, given his personality and tendency to "pump and dump" his admirers.
* IdealHero: A subversion. He is treated like this in-comic, and he does have most if not all the traits of a classical hero. But this isn't Ancient Greece and his personality leaves something to be desired...
* TheLeader: Unlike Harold, he is completely in command of his warband. He is a definite Type IV.
* MultiRangedMaster: Apparently has experience with multiple types of infantry weapons, making him a MultiMeleeMaster as well.
* SexFaceTurn: While, in this particular case, it is unknown whether sex directly results from it, [[http://exterminatusnow.co.uk/2013-12-08/comic/the-b-team/whos-your-daddy-issue/ this particular comic]] indicates that, indeed, Damien uses his charm and sexual magnetism as weapons.
** And then, this became [[http://exterminatusnow.co.uk/2013-12-22/comic/the-b-team/greatest-hits-and-quits/ a straight example]].
* SociopathicHero: Has shades of this, as he has a certain degree of callousness that his teammates lack.
* SurpassedTheTeacher: Apparently, he is succeeding ''despite'' who trained him, not because of him (whoever that was).
* TallPoppySyndrome: Inverted! Schaeffer practically dick rides him in his official bio, and even defends his amorous personal life, expressing [[HoYay something a little greater than simple admiration, almost a fondness for him.]]
* ThrowAwayGuns: Apparently considers all his weapons in this sense, since he doesn't keep any for long.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Xandius Blackwing]]
!!Inquisitor Xandius Blackwing
Second in command and Damien's most trusted soldier, a Bat obviously meant to be a parallel to Syrus, though much more competent. He actually graduated in the same class as [[http://exterminatusnow.co.uk/2007-03-02/comic/shades-of-black-and-white/more-flashbacks-than-an-episode-of-lost/ Eastwood and Silas Morth]].

* {{Foil}}: To Virus. Virus is a sense-lacking rodent who regularly needs his teammates to bail him out, while Xandius is an accomplished operative who rarely ever makes mistakes.
* AGlassOfChianti: [[http://exterminatusnow.co.uk/2012-04-22/comic/non-storyline/randoms/convention-flyer-one/ Pulls it off here.]]
* CulturedBadass: Carries himself very formally on the above occasion. And is definitely badass.
* ItsAllAboutMe: Seems a little self absorbed outside of combat.
* LaserBlade: Interestingly, he wields one, though he doesn't appear to a Daemon Hunter.
* NumberTwo: Is definitely this for Damien, as the two inquisitors seem much closer to each other than to the rest of their team, and Damien is willing to talk to Xan about his insecurities.
* OfficerAndAGentleman: A capable Inquisitor, a true gentleman.
* OldFriend: Seems to see himself as this to Eastwood. Eastwood ''does not'' agree.
* TheSmartGuy: Appears to be the smartest member of the team, as Damien goes to him for information.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Azen Korvos]]
!!Azen Korvos
A Porcupine and possibly a mercenary working for the warband. Is apparently from another country that the other main characters are not, due to his accent. A direct foil to Lothar.

* TheBigGuy: A relatively straight example.
* {{Foil}}: To Lothar - Korvos is honorable, clean-mouthed, and actually possesses a modicum of self-restraint.
* FriendlySniper: Apparently takes this role, as he is always seen with his ubiquitous sniper rifle.
** {{BFG}}: Which is as tall as him.
* FunetikAksent: Obviously, he is not from around these parts. Also has a tendency to sprinkle his speech with non-English words.
* NiceGuy: Despite being a warrior, he is very friendly, especially when compared to Lothar.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Tempest]]
!!Quan "Tempest" Wukong
A Daemon Hunter who recently rejoined the team after an indeterminate amount of time away. Unlike Rogue, he is much nicer and much less high-strung.

* BigFun: Subverted. He is definitely a very lively and jovial fellow, but is a skinny monkey and not necessarily the TheBigGuy of the group, though he is a BoisterousBruiser.
* {{Foil}}: To Rogue. Both are Daemon Hunters, but while Rogue is an egotistical hunter who uses a Beam Sword, Tempest is a jovial, friendly fellow using a staff.
* TheLancer: Is clearly not as serious as his teammates, who note that things weren't the same without him, offering a point of contrast to them.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Vince]]
!!Vince
Originally the 'fourth member' of the team... till he was bitten by a "[[NotAZombie not zombie]]".

* BlackDudeDiesFirst: Unfortunately, his appearance sends connotations of this.
* {{Expy}}: Of [[VideoGame/Left4Dead Francis]].
* ForgottenFallenFriend: Subverted. His team is legitimately broken up about his death and do mourn him afterwards... though Damien still takes the time out to woo a girl.
* RedShirt: Might as well have been.
* WeHardlyKnewYe: Dies in the first comic he was introduced in.
[[/folder]]

!The "C-Team"
Another alternate team for the main cast, they are the exact opposite of both other teams. For one, they are mostly female (only one of the four members is male). And also, while the "A-team" are known for their luck, and the "B-team" are known for their skill, the "C-team" are carving their own niche for themselves being lovers of excessive violence.

[[folder:Tropes applying to the C-Team as a whole]]
* AmazonBrigade: Barely avoid becoming this, thanks to Sebastian joining them.
* DestructiveSavior: It appears that "restraint" is not in their vocabulary. They'll get their mission done, but will leave a smoking crater around where their target used to be.
* LeeroyJenkins: An entire team of them! Guess who found a new home?!
* LeaveNoSurvivors: Which makes it hard for Sebastian, an interrogator by trade, to operate.
* MoreDakka: How they solve any problem.
* MurderIsTheBestSolution: Unlike most of the rest of the Inquisition, who at least try to take perpetrators alive if only to interrogate them, they seem to operate on this logic.
* NoKillLikeOverkill: For them, it seems the more collateral damage they cause, the better the mission has turned out for them.
* TheOneGuy: As opposed to TheSmurfettePrinciple the original heroes were trying to get.
* WeaponOfMassDestruction: Have a disturbing tendency to throw these around with reckless abandon...
* WeDoTheImpossible: Are actually brutally effective in their methods and get splendid results... but that comes at the cost of causing unbelievable amounts of property damage and loss of innocent life.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Nadia Deket]]
!!Inquisitor Nadia Meryl Deket
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nadia_2857.png]]
Leader of the team, she is a violent, brutally effective Inquisitor who, despite lacking any semblance of self control, seems to get the job done.

* ActionGirl: One of the finest examples in the comic, regularly demonstrating that she's not to be trifled with whenever she enters the scene.
* AxCrazy: She takes no prisoners and wants all heretics to die screaming.
* TheBerserker: Has shades of this in how she rushes into battle.
* ChurchMilitant: Exaggerated. While most of the cast are technically religious, if not church militants, she is the most zealous member of the bunch, earning her special mention.
* FieryRedhead: A redhead who shoots first and asks questions later.
* FinalSolution: Wants to use Exterminatus to wipe out every single heretic in existence, or barring that, surround herself with mass murdering LeeroyJenkins warrior women that share her brutality.
* {{Foreshadowing}}: Possible one in the character bios. It's mentioned in Syrus's bio that Schaeffer hopes he'll "cross paths with an intolerant Tyrusian inquisitor who will remove him from our concerns." Guess how Nadia is described (in very exact words). Deket was also mentioned by name in the Coca-Cola-Pepsi War Arc and was seen briefly during Wildfire's last arc with her [[spoiler:first]] inquisition team.
* GodzillaThreshold: Apparently, even the mere ''existence'' of a heretical cult is enough cause for her to declare Exterminatus.
* GuiltFreeExterminationWar: Her own personal crusade against all things heretical means she feels absolutely no remorse for the things that she does.
* IceQueen: All but said by her official bio.
* KnightTemplar: To put it bluntly, in an organization that prides itself on being zealous in its pursuits to one extreme or another, ''she'' is too extreme for ''them''. They had to pass a law because she called Exterminatus too often!
%%* TheLadette: Definitely has the makings of one.
* TheLeader: Definitely, though whether or not that is a good thing...
* LeeroyJenkins: Enemy forces be damned...
* OmniscientMoralityLicense: Though the Inquisition by law has this, she abuses it more than anyone else in the comic, and in a cast of assholes, that is truly an accomplishment.
* PrinciplesZealot: While she is a true believer in the ways of the Inquisition, she takes it way too far in upholding their duty, to the detriment of everyone else.
* SociopathicHero: She likes using ''weapons of mass destruction.''
* SociopathicSoldier: Seems to be on her way to being this, if she isn't one already.
* TheSquadette: The most militant inquisitor yet, and she's female!
* TheUnfettered: Little to no self-control and she surrounds herself with people like this, or at least those with limited self-control.
* UndyingLoyalty: Despite her lack of self-control, she's probably one of the most loyal inquisitors in the comic.
* {{Vibroweapon}}: Her personal weapon is a Mk. IX ‘Gungnir’ Series Vibro-Glaive with a retractable handle.
* WellIntentionedExtremist: Well, she is fighting insane cultists, she is just a little too over-zealous in her mission...
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Leyana Vaegun]]
!!Leyana Vaegun
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/leyana_554.png]]
The Fourth team member and a mercenary. Though she has the least amount of focus, we already have a set personality for her.

* BoisterousBruiser: Highly energetic, which befits a wasp who dual-wields.
* CuteBruiser: D'awwww! It's adorable how she fires her guns into the air when she's happy.
* GenkiGirl: She gets really excited when she's in the heat of battle.
* GunsAkimbo: Apparently her favorite method of combat.
* TheGunslinger: While every other character in the series uses guns, she seems to be the most dedicated gunslinger in the cast. She dual wields pistols, and is amazingly effective with them.
* HotBlooded: Gets very over-zealous in her duties as an Inquisitorial mercenary, but this is just a reflection of a very energetic personality all around.
* LeeroyJenkins: Birds of a feather...
* MilitaryMaverick: Back when she was still military. They eventually kicked her out because she was too much to handle. Strangely, she was only discharged despite hitting a record for the largest number of disciplinary offences racked up during a tour of service.
* MoreDakka: Carries two guns for the sheer purpose of blowing people full of lead, even when it's unnecessary.
* NiceGuy: Aside from the whole "brutally murdering people as part of her job" bit. She's at least rather cordial and friendly to her fellow Inquisition agents.
* NominalHero: The only reason she is fighting these cultists is because she is being paid to do it. No more, no less.
* OnlyInItForTheMoney: She has no allegiance to the Inquisition's mission, all she wants is money. Thankfully for them, the Inquisition has a lot of money to throw around.
* ProfessionalKiller: Is a rather excitable mercenary.
* PsychoForHire: Her LeeroyJenkins attitudes and HotBlooded nature in combat suggest she's rather at home blowing people away.
* PunchClockHero: Is a hired mercenary who seems to have little respect for the Inquisition, but is a good guy regardless.
* RebelliousSpirit: Hates authority, despite working for the government.
* SurvivalistStash: Has several scattered around the continent filled with weapons. How [[Anime/GhostInTheShellStandAloneComplex Section 9 of her.]]
* TheTease: Relentlessly sexually teases Eastwood to the point where he begs Virus for help. Whether she would have actually agreed to anything and shown that she ReallyGetsAround, or whether [[{{Troll}} she was just messing with Eastwood]], possibly because of his (supposed) former relationship with Deket, remains to be seen, as she was interrupted by Sebastian.
* TriggerHappy: Demonstrated when she ''perforates'' a poor sob who was already dying from a single shot by Sebastian.
* TheUnfettered: More so than anyone else in the cast, but subverted in that she seems to be OnlyInItForTheMoney.
* WalkingArmory: Subverted. Has an army's worth of weapons, but has only appeared with two guns. Whether this trope will be played straight remains to be seen.
* WickedWasps: She's a ''wasp''! In fact, according to the [[WordOfGod creators themselves in the page comments]], she was made a wasp specifically because of how aggressively nasty and violent they are.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Sebastian Poe]]
!!Interrogator Sebastian Thomas Poe
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/seb_8410.png]]
The first dinosaur in the comic, Sebastian is the exasperated only male and OnlySaneMan in C-Team.

* ChickMagnet: [[SubvertedTrope He doesn't want to be, though]], and in his own words he's actually "a ''[[SurroundedByIdiots Crazy]]'' Magnet". Hard not to consider yourself one when your team consists of nothing ''but'' destructive LeeroyJenkins types.
* ImADoctorNotAPlaceholder: [[http://exterminatusnow.co.uk/2015-01-14/comic/tangled-web/dead-meat-and-greet/ Upon the massacre of heretics he wanted to question]], "I'm an interrogator, not a necromancer!"
* TheLancer: By virtue of being the only member of his team that isn't a HotBlooded LeeroyJenkins KnightTemplar type, and nominally being his Inquistor's second in command.
* MoralityPet: Averted entirely, as he's supposed to be this for Nadia. Yeah, that isn't working...
* OnlySaneMan: Poor Sebastian. When you have a team comprised of three impulsive, trigger-happy {{Action Girl}}s, it must be hard being the one telling them to rein it in. And it's not like he doesn't want to transfer out, unfortunately Deket gets really, really argumentative when anyone from the top brass tries.
* TheOneGuy: And contrary to what some others think, he ain't happy about it.
* RaptorAttack: Subverts the typical stereotype of being a ferocious bloodthirsty carnivore, but he plays the lack of feathers straight.
* SurroundedByIdiots: Violent, trigger-happy, short-tempered, impulsive idiots. The one in charge refuses to let him leave her team, in spite of his talents being wasted where he is (no point in interrogation if you have no living prisoners to interrogate).
* TortureTechnician: Possibly. He is an interrogator, after all.
* WarriorMonk: Dresses the part, possibly the attire that comes with being an interrogator.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Wildfire]]
!!Yuri "Wildfire" Keila
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/wildfire_7352.png]]
A new female feline character that was introduced in Rogue's absence, who doesn't appreciate Eastwood's misogyny/constant flirting and doesn't appear to be the best at listening to instructions. By which we mean considers "Instruction" to mean "Gentle suggestion". ''[[PersonOfMassDestruction If her team is lucky]]''. Impetuous and inexperienced, with no patience for complex plans and ideas, she is prone to making hasty decisions that make the rest of the team look positively wise in comparison. She was returned to Taika in a body cast, after being chloroformed by Virus, to prevent her from destroying even more stuff. Later recruited by Inquisitor Deket, who appreciated her penchant for destruction better.

* ActionGirl: Deconstructed. She can certainly kick all kinds of ass, but that seems to be all she knows how to do. And even then, she defaults to killing everything that isn't on her side, which causes no end of grief to the Inquisitors when they have to clean up her messes.
* DualWielding: She dual wields beam swords.
* FastballSpecial: One of the few plans she can follow effectively.
* IdiotHero:
--> '''Lothar''': "New rule: no member of the team is allowed to have more beam swords than brain cells."
** IdiotSavant: She may be an expert at beam swordsmanship, possibly one of the best in the world, but good luck trying to get her to follow even the simplest of plans that don't involve her chopping things up.
* LeeroyJenkins: Possibly one of the most idiotic, destructive LeeroyJenkins' in the history of the Mobian Inquisition. After finding little success as Rogue's replacement, she's on a team now that fits this personality type much better.
* MeaningfulName: ''[[NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast Wildfire]]'' - n. A large, quickly spreading forest fire that [[NoKillLikeOverkill destroys everything in its path.]]
--> '''[[http://exterminatusnow.co.uk/2010-11-23/comic/voiding-your-warranty/a-fairytale-ending/ Rogue]]''': The ''entire'' facility?\\
'''Virus''': And a good chunk of the Ossingo outback.\\
'''Rogue''': Well, that's why we named her [='=]'''Wildfire'''[='=]. I considered warning you guys, but then I thought: Nah, fuck 'em.
* NaiveNewcomer: She's certainly an effective fighter and slayer of all things daemon, but she doesn't to know much beyond that. Even when she's on missions, her tactics default to "destroy everything," even when they need to bring something in without harm.
* SacrificedBasicSkillForAwesomeTraining: Yuri is probably one of the best melee fighters in the world, capable of taking on an entire Fernexian cult by herself despite being grossly outnumbered and outgunned. Unfortunately, she has an abysmal lack of common sense, tactical skills, and ability to recognize daemons. That last one is especially important for someone whose profession is ''Daemon Hunter''.
* SarcasmBlind: Though being in a WorldOfSnark like the Inquisition opens her eyes to it quick enough.
[[/folder]]

!The Dark Gods

[[folder:The Soulthirster]]
!!The Soulthirster

* AmbiguousGender: Alternatingly referred to as a "he" and a "she", but that still doesn't stop the other Dark Gods from wondering if they leave the toilet seat up or down.
-->"That's one mystery of the universe I ''didn't'' need to think about!"
* AnimalMotifs: She has a reptilian look. Soulthirster demons we saw so far, however, are not.
* {{Expy}}: [[TabletopGame/{{Warhammer 40000}} of Slaanesh.]]
* OtherworldlyAndSexuallyAmbiguous: As a Slaanesh {{Expy}}, this is natural. The Soulthirster cares not for whatever gender others address them with - all they care for is carnal pleasure.
--> '''The Hound:''' [[http://exterminatusnow.co.uk/2006-08-04/comic/four-of-a-kind/divinities-must-wash-hands/ Do you think he puts the toilet seat up or down?]]
* StarterVillain: A cult dedicated to them was the first villains encountered in the comic and what brought the cast together.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:The Hound]]
!!The Hound

* AnimalMotifs: [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin Canines]], him and his demons.
* TheBrute: Looks the part, anyway. His demons certainly are.
** Later makes an effort to update his image to that of the modern day ArmchairMilitary general, as his old image sooner brought to mind "drunken slapfights in pub car parks" rather than "war".
* DumbassNoMore: Fernex notes that he's become a lot more eloquent since his change to an embodiment of an ArmchairMilitary general. [[GodsNeedPrayerBadly It seems to be a result of]] his worshippers now consisting primarily of military officers, historical re-enactors and angry nerds, all of which would be slightly more intelligent than your average Berserker.
* ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin: He's, well, a dog. At the very least, he's a demonic one.
* {{Expy}}: [[TabletopGame/{{Warhammer 40000}} of Khorne.]]
** In fairness, he's just the God of Warfare, rather than war, blood, and skulls.
* HellHound: Looks the part, anyway.
* ModernizedGod: Adopts the look of an ArmchairMilitary general as his worshippers are mainly military officers and wargaming nerds, while his old look evoked less 'battle' and more 'drunken slapfights in a pub's parking lot', a role he pawned off to one of his archdemons.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Fernex]]
!!Fernex

* AIIsACrapshoot: Him, and all of his daemons.
* ButtMonkey: Not him (He's probably the most powerful of the Big Four), but his followers, who are constantly made fun of thanks to Fernexite demons' affinity for toasters.
** The Patterner is prone to making fun of him. WordOfGod says Fernex, being a god of technology, came much later than the other three and mocked by others for being TheNewGuy.
* CyberneticsEatYourSoul: In contrast to Gruss of the Light Gods, Fernex represents the irresponsible and reckless use of technology and this is a direct side effect.
* {{Expy}}: of the [[TabletopGame/{{Warhammer 40000}} Void Dragon]].
* NotSoHarmlessVillain: [[spoiler:He manages to come dangerously close to wiping out both the Inquisition and the Daemon Hunters in the Taika arc.]]
** Overall, his minions tend to be among the more grandiose and successful villains shown in the comic. This may have something to do with his whole being an evil god of technology, and in an age of technology would truly be powerful.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:The Patterner]]
!!The Patterner

* AnimalMotifs: Spiders. His demons are quite spider-like and his body (though mostly off-panel) seems to have a spider's abdomen.
* BerserkButton: The Patterner doesn't appreciate the suggestion that he has a tell.
* {{Expy}}: [[TabletopGame/{{Warhammer 40000}} of Tzeentch.]] Who sued him over it.
* FacelessEye: And it's on fire, too!
* ILied: Apparently a requirement to be one of his cultists.
* TricksterGod: He's supposed to be, anyway.

!The Justice Gods

[[folder:Gruss]]
!!Gruss, The Benevolent Machine God

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Tyrus]]
!!Tyrus, The Law God

* KingOfBeasts: Appears as a regal, humanoid Lion.
* ProudToBeAGeek: Quite proud of his ''[[TabletopGame/DungeonsAndDragons Dark Dungeons]]'' campaigns and asks one of his followers to go easy on fellow gamers.
* ReligionIsWrong: Not ''entirely'', [[http://exterminatusnow.co.uk/2012-09-09/comic/non-storyline/randoms/dark-dungeons/ but he does rip apart his own holy book]] due to mistranslations, bad context, someone putting in stuff he never approved, or simply because he was in a weird mood when he wrote some of the passages. And when he tried to get the thing edited, he's somewhat surprised to hear how his prophets trying to alter it were executed as heretics. It does fit his prior characterization as a pedant.

[[folder:Ahriman]]
!!Ahriman, God of Knowledge

* TheOwlKnowingOne: As a keeper of knowledge, he appears as an owl.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Mort]]
!!Mort, The Death God

* DarkIsNotEvil: He is a skeletal CreepyRavens who looks like the GrimReaper. He's one of the good gods. Could also count as DontFearTheReaper.
** He does seem to be a tad bit on the {{Emo}} side, though. Which is most likely intentional.
** Same goes for his servants, all manner of creepy undead, ghosts and other creatures that would be at home in a necromancers tomb in any other setting. They're actually the guardians of the dead and completely good-aligned.
[[/folder]]

!Minor Demons And Dieties

[[folder:Blasphemy]]
!! Blasphemy the Chao
Virus's pet Chao, who absorbed the DNA of a daemon of the Hound and became an unholy abomination.
----
* BigEater: He ate the roughly cow-sized daemon whose DNA he absorbed, and in one comic Lothar casually tosses him a whole ham.
* ExtremeOmnivore: Has been known to eat daemons, textbooks, desks, and ninjas.
* {{Hellhound}}: Absorbed the DNA of one, giving him [[RedAndBlackAndEvilAllOver red and black]] pigmentation, giant [[MoreTeethThanTheOsmondFamily fangs]] and claws, and horns.
* PokemonSpeak: His vocabulary is limited to variations on "Chao" and threatening growls.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Father Ocean]]
!! Father Ocean
A former cultist all the way back during the First Incursion who managed to ascend to godhood, becoming the divine embodiment of the ocean abyss.
----

* DeityOfHumanOrigin: Was originally a mortal who rose through the ranks to high priest and eventually becoming a demon prince, but even that wasn't enough to sate his ambition, and he managed to gather enough followers and power to ascend to godhood, the only mortal ever to do so.
* TheGhost: He's never actually manifested in the story, though his cult really wants him to.
* SealedEvilInACan: After his defeat, his body was sealed away in one of his temples, which eventually sunk to the bottom of the ocean. His cult is trying to find a way to release him.
* RivalsTeamUp: His existence posed such a threat to the balance between the Good and Evil gods that they actually teamed up to destroy him during the First Incursion.

Silas Morth's patron for the Patterner, a Greater Daemon who has a decidedly less than impressive name.

[[folder:Vitani]]
!! Mistress Vitani

A Patternari Daemon Princess resembling a giant black widow spider.
----
* FinalBoss: She's the last villain to be fought before the comic went on indefinite hiatus[[spoiler:, although the ending shows her forming an alliance for revenge with Morth.
* GiantSpider: Something which freaks Eastwood out to no end.
* NonMammalMammaries: Despite being an arachnid, she has breasts. Virus certainly appreciates it.
** Justified, since as a Daemon Princess, she WasOnceAMan.
* OneWingedAngel: Can transform into a gargantuan monstrous form for combat.
* TheVamp: As a black widow daemon, she's very seductive and [[spoiler:has sex with Virus. And then tries to eat him]].
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Toaster Daemon]]
!! Toaster Daemon

A Fernexite daemon who keeps possessing the team's toasters.
----
* AnimateInanimateObject: Is way more mobile than a toaster has any right to be.
* DemonicPossession: Like other machine spirits it tends to possess machinery rather than manifest physically.
* FightingAShadow: Eastwood and Virus regularly smash its current vessel, only for it to possess the next toaster they buy, in one case it didn't even wait for them to take it out of the box. Virus suspects that the cheap toasters Eastwood keeps buying have some kind of vulnerability to possession.
* RunningGag: Forms a minor one in the main group's toaster regularly being possessed and trying to murder them.
