[[caption-width-right:350:The gang up to '08.[[note]]'''Counterclockwise from right:''' [[TheLeader Edd]], [[{{Narcissist}} Matt]], [[DeadpanSnarker Tom]], and [[TriggerHappy Tord]].[[/note]]]]

The main protagonists of the entire series.
----
* AerithAndBob: Edd, Matt, and Tom are all very common names in the Anglosphere, but "Tord" is likely to sound much more unusual and exotic to English speakers' ears. Subverted in that it's actually a very common name in his native [[NorseByNorsewest Norway]].
* AmusingInjuries: They all have their share of humiliating slapstick. [[ButtMonkey Moreso with Tom and Matt]].
* AsHimself: Up to Gould's death, this was the case, but during the Eddsworld Legacy period, Tom and Matt were changed to [[invoked]]TheDanza instead. When stepping down as the showrunner, Tom the character's VA Ridgewell made it clear [[http://thetomska.tumblr.com/post/141199544323/the-beginning that the characters at that point are separate entities from the actors]].
* AuthorAvatar: The main characters are based on Edd and his friends Creator/TomSka, Matt, and Tord.
* BadassNormal: Most of the time (though not every time), whenever they have to deal with serious or supernatural threats, they manage to deal with them without having any supernatural abilities whatsoever. For instance, in "Spares", the boys manage to defeat the many clones of themselves using simply guns, a baseball bat, and a golf club.
* BigThinShortTrio: If the "Saloonatics" designs are canon, then Edd (Big), Matt (Thin), and Tom (Short) are these. Tord is an outlier with an average body type. A rare case where the Big one is the leader (most of the time).
* ChildhoodFriends: According to episodes like "25 Feet Under the Seat" and "[=PowerEdd=]", all four of them have been friends since they were little kids. Taking it further, they [[EveryoneWentToSchoolTogether went to school with the Neighbors, Paul, Laurel, Diwi, Hellucard]], [[WebAnimation/CrashZoom Ben, Lucy]] and [[CreatorCameo Wonchop]].
* ColourCodedForYourConvenience: While it isn't hard to tell them apart in the first place, they all have differently-coloured hoodies to further tell them apart. Edd wears green, Tom wears blue, Matt wears purple (though he is also usually seen wearing a green overcoat and used to wear a black shirt), and Tord wears red (though he also used to wear a black jacket).
* ComicTrio: After Tord's departure, the protagonists become a comic trio with Edd as the leader, Tom as the straight man, and Matt as the fool.
* DivergentCharacterEvolution: All four of them were more or less indistinguishable from one another, but they eventually became more defined around the time Tord left.
* EarlyInstallmentCharacterDesignDifference: While all had their designs evolve dramatically, all used to have pink skin due to the way Edd used to colour skin tone.
* FourPhilosophyEnsemble: Matt is the Optimist, Edd is the Realist, Tom is the Cynic, and Tord was the Apathetic.
* FourTemperamentEnsemble: Matt is Sanguine, Edd is Phlegmatic, Tom is Melancholic, and Tord was Choleric back when he was in the group.
* FreudianTrio: Matt is the impulsive and self-absorbed [[TheMcCoy Id]], Tom is the sarcastic and critical [[TheSpock Superego]], and Edd is the friendly but down-to-earth [[TheKirk Ego]]. When he's around, violent and trigger-happy Tord can also fit the Id.
* FunTShirt: Edd, Tom, and Matt have these types of t-shirts underneath their hoodies. Edd's t-shirt reads "Smeg Head"[[note]]British slang for a fool[[/note]], Tom's reads "Ska Band" with a checkerboard pattern in the middle, and Matt's reads "I <3 [=M@=]". Tom's t-shirt used to read "Stay Safe" with an ''WebAnimation/{{asdfmovie}}'' character's head on it, but it changed to its ''Eddsworld Beyond'' design after Creator/TomSka's departure.
* ImprobableWeaponUser: When it comes to brawls, they'll grab whatever is close to them. Sometimes it's a shotgun, sometimes it's a ''mop''.
* {{Manchild}}: All four of them are young adults who tend to act like rowdy teenagers. Tord seems to have matured a little after his return, though.
* NiceMeanAndInBetween: [[NiceGuy Edd's]] Nice, [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold Tom's]] Mean and [[BrainlessBeauty Matt's]] In-Between. [[AxCrazy Tord]] also fit into the Mean category when he was around.
* OlderThanTheyLook: All of them are grown adults but could easily pass as teenagers. Most prevalent in the "Saloonatics" art style, where they look like kids. This may be due to the fact that Edd designed their cartoon appearances when he was a teenager, and the designs haven't changed much since then.
* OneHourWorkWeek: They are never seen working. Edd is implied to be an artist and animator, (like his real-life counterpart) but he is rarely seen drawing anything. The comics make it a bit more obvious, as Edd will occasionally be seen painting (though the comics are also dubiously canon). WordOfGod has made the claim that they do have jobs, but because every episode takes place on the weekend, we never get to see said jobs, though it's unclear how seriously this is meant to be taken, especially since there are episodes that contradict it.
* OnlyOneName: None of the boys' surnames is revealed. In "Saloonatics", Edd and Tom's (possible) ancestors have the surnames "Gold" and "Thompson" respectively, but it's not clear if those are carried over to them (if they are, this will make Tom a case of RepetitiveName). Tord and Matt's surnames are depicted as being the same as their real-world counterparts in "Zombeh Attack 2", but this may have been retconned since then.
* PlotArmor: They, or at least Edd, stopped getting killed off as of the ''Legacy'' era, most likely due to Gould's passing.
* PungeonMaster: Edd takes the cake, but Matt and Tom also drop a pun every once in a while.
* SensitiveGuyAndManlyMan: [[TheDitz Matt]] and [[JerkAss Tom]] are this respectively, as well as [[TokenGoodTeammate Edd]] and [[TriggerHappy Tord]] to a lesser extent.
* TheThreeFacesOfAdam: Just as their female counterparts are TheHecateSisters, Edd, Matt and Tom are this--Matt is the Hunter due to his energetic and naive nature, Edd is the Lord due to his status as the more down-to-earth leader and Tom is the Prophet due to being the more cynical and introspective of the three.
* TrueCompanions: They live in one house and usually treat each other respectfully. [[WithFriendsLikeThese Emphasis on usually]].
* VagueAge: They're commonly seen as young adults or late teenagers, but their exact ages are unknown. In "Snobody", Edd is said to be 17, the same age Edd Gould was when the animation was made, though they most likely do not age along with their real counterparts. In one of the comics, Edd dates a 26-year-old woman, so he's probably around this age. The fact that they all live on their own and, according to WordOfGod, have jobs seems to confirm this.
* VillainProtagonist: Often fall into this, being {{Psychopathic Manchild}}ren.
* VitriolicBestBuds: Despite being true companions, you'll be hard-pressed to find any full episodes where they haven't argued, harmed, or made snide remarks towards each other. This is even [[LampshadeHanging lampshaded]] in comic 427 "Introductions". In earlier episodes though, there are times where it teeters into {{WithFriendsLikeThese}} territory.

!!Edd
!!!'''Voiced by:''' Creator/EddGould (2004 - 2012), [[https://www.youtube.com/timh Tim Hautekiet]] (2012 - 2016), George Gould (2020 onwards)
[[quoteright:274:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/47d5f882_3f64_4aae_b320_b89404da50f5.png]]
[[caption-width-right:274:"Remember where we parked the car."]]
->''Edd!'' (Green hoodie!) ''Usually the leader!\\
Probably the first of them all to poke fun!\\
He's the artist, he loves cola,\\
and he's always trying to make a pun!\\
Probably due to his linguistic "Edd"ucation.'' (That's terrible.)

The unofficial leader of the quartet/trio who wears a green hoodie. He is an optimistic artist fond of cola, bacon and puns.
----
* AnimalMotifs: Cats. Not only because of Ringo but also because of Edd's own tendency to put on a PlayfulCatSmile.
* BerserkButton: Don't take the last can of coke.... unless you like a shotgun to the face.
* BigFun: If the ''Saloonatics'' body types are canon, then this applies.
* CelibateHero: ''Maybe.'' In the Pride Month 2023 art series on the show's official Twitter account, Edd's shown carrying a flag with aromantic-asexual colours on it. Whether or not this means Edd himself is aroace depends on how "canon" we're supposed to see the art.
* CharacterizationMarchesOn: Downplayed and justified due to the change in voice actor. When Gould played the role, Edd was a laid-back, generally soft-spoken everyman. After Gould's death and Hautekiet took over the role, Edd became considerably more energetic and loud, though he's still an everyman. He goes back to his soft-spoken personality when Gould's brother George takes over the role in the ''Beyond'' era.
* ADayInTheLimelight: Edd's Tales of Boredom.
* DrivenToSuicide: [[NegativeContinuity Twice]]. Once in ''This World of Edd'' and then again in ''[=WTFuture=]'' (as Future Edd). Both times were {{played for laughs}}.
* EarlyInstallmentCharacterDesignDifference: His design is the least radically evolved in comparison to the other main characters, other than having darker hair and a darker hoodie.
* {{Flanderization}}: His {{keet}} and KindheartedSimpleton tendencies were exaggerated during the Legacy era, especially since Tim Hautekiet had voiced Edd by that time. The Beyond era brings him closer to his original personality, with Edd Gould's brother George voicing him instead.
* FutureMeScaresMe: In ''[=WTFuture=]'', he is horrified by the lunatic he is to become (the fact that said lunatic is attempting to commit TemporalSuicide doesn't help).
* JerkassBall: Sometimes, such as in ''The Dudette Next Door'', where he fights with Tord for Kim's affection and seems to only care about her looks.
* {{Keet}}: Moreso when Tim Hautekiet took over the role, though he also has his moments in earlier episodes.
* MoralityPet: To Tord. ''Christmas Special 2005'' reveals that Tord would have become a megalomaniacal communist without Edd's influence. [[spoiler:And ''The End'' reveals that after Tord left Edd's group, that's exactly what happened. And that is assuming that Tord was not EvilAllAlong.]]
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: [[spoiler:Near the end of [=PowerEdd=], Edd realises that he made enemies with Eduardo for making fun of him for getting second place in a drawing contest during their childhood and takes the initiative to apologise. He then admits that Eduardo deserved first place for his drawing. Eduardo is amazed]].
* NakedPeopleAreFunny: Edd seems to get hit with this trope the most out of the cast; he goes streaking in ''This World of Edd'', one of his clones is naked in ''Spares'' and there's a FreezeFrameBonus of him having a ShowerOfAwkward in the non-canon music video, ''Money (That's What I Want)''.
* NerdGlasses: In one of the comics, Edd gets new glasses, but when he sees how pretty Matt looks when he's wearing them, he breaks them instantly. Funnily, Edd Gould himself did wear glasses as well.
* NiceGuy: Easily the nicest member of the main group, though even he had his occasional {{Jerkass}} moments.
* TheNthDoctor: The voice actor change from Edd Gould to Tim Hautekiet is explained by Edd getting accidentally zapped by a voice-changer gun by Matt in ''Space Face''.
* OutOfFocus: For being the title character, Edd has little relevance during the Legacy era's two-parter finale, ''The End''. It's more about the rivalry between Tom and Tord.
* PlayfulCatSmile: Known to do this sometimes, notably with the small RunningGag of him trying to call intimidating figures by silly nicknames.
* PlotArmor: Most likely due to Gould's passing, as of ''Legacy'', Edd became immune to the TheyKilledKennyAgain trope.
* PungeonMaster: Usually the first one to throw out a dumb pun when the situation calls for it.
* SanityBall: Passed between him and Tom.
* SuddenlyVoiced: He spends the first third of ''Casting Call'' silent, but after George's audition, he begins speaking again.
* TeamMom: In later episodes, he sometimes slips into this category. This can easily be seen in the opening to ''The End (Part 1)'', which not only makes him look like a mom and Tom look like a dad, but also makes Matt look like their ''child''.
* TemporarilyAVillain: In ''Tord's Adventure'', until the end.
* TheyKilledKennyAgain: Like the others, though not as much in more recent episodes (most likely because of the actual Edd's passing):
** In ''Eddsworld Halloween Short 2005'', he's bludgeoned with a sledgehammer.
** In ''Zombeh Nation'', he gets gunned down.
** In ''Zombeh Attack III'', he gets bitten by a zombeh.
** In ''Eddsworld Halloween Special 2007'', his head is vertically bisected.
** In ''Matt Sucks'', he gets impaled by several stakes.
** In ''This World of Edd'', he commits suicide from [[GoMadFromTheIsolation being alone]].
** In ''Sugar, Sugar'', he gets beaten to death by soda cans.
** In ''Climate Change'', he dies along with Tom and Matt when a massive tidal wave comes toward their house once again in the end.
** In the non-canon short ''Rock Bottom'', he and Tom drown once he accidentally floods the house.
* TokenGoodTeammate: Much kinder than his friends. As long as you don't steal the last can of coke.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Cola, bacon or [[BreadEggsBreadedEggs bacon cola.]]
* TheVoiceless: In ''Casting Call'', he's completely silent until George Gould's audition, at which point George assumes his vocal duties.
* WouldHitAGirl: In ''Fun Dead''. He punches a zombified woman in the face, though in his defence, she is trying to EAT him.

[[folder:Matt]]
!!Matt
!!!'''Voiced by:''' [[https://www.youtube.com/user/wallycube Matt Hargreaves]]
[[quoteright:274:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/0375602a_471c_492c_8b33_0279807fb1d0.png]]
[[caption-width-right:274:"Indubitably."]]
->''Matt!'' (Purple hoodie! Also green overcoat?)\\
''No one likes him as much as himself!\\
He's got a formidable chin, though he doesn't know that word,\\
'cause he's got the intelligence of the kitchen shelf!'' (Hey!)

The square-chinned ginger, he wears a purple hoodie and green overcoat. Vain and dumb, though the latter trait was absent in earlier episodes.
----
* AmbiguouslyBi: Has gone on dates with girls in both "Date Night" and an arc from the comics, but has also [[ScrewYourself made a film called "Matt on Matt Action".]]
* AscendedExtra: At the start of the show, Matt was essentially a background character. Over time, he became a member of the main crew. Also applies in another way, as he's the only remaining member of the original four still on the team and its head, meaning he leads Eddsworld in the more meta videos.
* AsHimself: Aside from the things mentioned in the gang's folder, in "Fan Service 2" Matt the character is implicitly a stand-in for Matt the real person. [[ZigzaggedTrope Although there is another Matt who acts and looks a lot more like the real Matt Hargreaves, while Eddsworld!Matt retains his comical, narcissistic attitude. Eddsworld!Matt is still in charge, though.]]
* TheBadGuyWins: In "[=WTFuture=]". Where [[{{Egopolis}} he alters time to become the king of the world]].
* BatmanCanBreatheInSpace: All he needs is a [[ArtisticLicenseSpace fishbowl on his head.]]
* BerserkButton: Don't ''ever'' punch him in the face.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: When Tord [[spoiler:punches him in the face and destroys his and the others' house in ''The End Part 2'']], he ''snaps'', and begins slamming buttons on a control panel to make Tord's mech attack itself. He only stops because of Edd (and even then, he asked for a shot at Tord).
-->'''Matt:''' This is for the house. This is for my friends! And THIS... IS FOR MY ''FACE!!''
* BrainlessBeauty: In later episodes, at least. He's shown to be vain and not very bright.
* ButtMonkey: Becomes this later in the series once Tom was no longer the ChewToy of the show.
* CharacterCatchphrase: [[NotInTheFace "Not the face!"]] and [[SophisticatedAsHell "Indubitably"]].
* CharacterizationMarchesOn: Before Tord's departure, Matt was actually a lot more like Tom--the smart one/OnlySaneMan, a little on the surly side and had the additional detail of apparently hating Edd [[IrrationalHatred for no readily explained reason]]. Compare this to later episodes, where he's ditzy to the point that Edd and Tom are surprised at him knowing words with more than two syllables, constantly smiling and cracking jokes and clearly considers Edd to be one of his best friends.
* ComedicUnderwearExposure: Mixed with ClothingDamage in "Hammer and Fail". His clothes get caught in a belt sander and torn to shreds, leaving him in his boxer shorts. He very likely does not care.
* DefrostingIceKing: Towards Edd, in the later episodes. In ''Hello Hellhole'', Matt's "personal hell" was Edd. And even after taking a memory eraser gun to the face, he still shows detest towards Edd, such as "Matt Sucks". But by the Legacy era, he warmed up to Edd and even shared jokes with him in ''The Snogre''. Also helps that Matt TookALevelInKindness.
* DemonicPossession: Was possessed at the start of ''Hammer and Fail 2'' and in ''Trick or Threat''.
* TheDitz: Once Tord left, Matt slowly evolved into the idiot (but usually well-meaning) member of the group.
* DumbassHasAPoint: Despite being as dumb as rocks in later episodes, Matt sometimes offers intelligent solutions to problems. This is shown particularly in ''Hammer and Fail 2'' and ''Zanta Claws II''.
* EarlyInstallmentCharacterDesignDifference: In early episodes of Eddsworld, Matt had flat orange hair, which grew taller and spiker over time, and to reflect his old cynical personality, he wore a black shirt and later a black hoodie. In addition, his overcoat was dark green with a light colour before switching, so the collar was dark, and the coat was light.
* {{Flanderization}}: The character's stupidity and narcissism went up after 2010, which was common before, although it had become his main character trait. Justified in ''The End'', which reveals he accidentally erased his memories.
* ForcedTransformation: So far, he has been turned into a zombie, a vampire and a mutant lobster monster, all against his will. That said, he also slips into FullyEmbracedFiend in all these cases.
* TheFriendNobodyLikes: In ''Hide and Seek'', Tom and Edd trick Matt into thinking that they want to play hide and seek with him but immediately go back to watching TV while Matt freezes to death while hiding in their fridge. Tom notices his body but doesn't care about it and just grabs the soda near him and closes the fridge. Another big example would be in ''Fan Service'' where Edd and Tom celebrate their new dog while ignoring Matt dying from an allergic reaction when exposed to the dog. [[DependingOnTheWriter In most cases, Edd seems to enjoy Matt's company while Tom merely tolerates him]].
* HiddenDepths: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fs9uoFehddw Apparently]], he's a pretty good singer.
* IJustWantToBeBeautiful: He's very much in love with himself and always wants to look good.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Despite his high narcissism and ego, he has his kinder moments and is genuinely shown to be as nice as he is cheerful and excitable.
* {{Keet}}: He's pretty ditzy and excitable.
* LanternJawOfJustice: One of his distinguishing features is his "formidable chin", as it's worded in the theme song.
* LaughablyEvil: Whenever he is TemporarilyAVillain, such as in ''Matt Sucks''.
* {{Narcissist}}: He loves himself a little too much.
* NotHimself: He's been zombified, turned into a vampire, and possessed twice over the course of the show.
* PlotAllergy: To dogs. And explosions. And seafood.
* RedheadInGreen: When wearing his overcoat.
* ScrewYourself: He made an amateur porn movie called "Matt-On-Matt Action".
* ShamelessFanserviceGuy: After his clothes get caught in a belt sander and ripped to shreds, Matt just stands there triumphantly in his underwear, likely not caring.
* StatuesqueStunner: If the ''Saloonatics'' designs are canon, it would mean that Matt's the tallest of the group and he's also the self-proclaimed prettiest.
* TemporarilyAVillain:
** Of the ''Zombeh Attack Trilogy'', excluding ''Zombeh Nation''.
** He is also bitten by a vampire in ''Matt Sucks'', and attempts to do the same to Edd and Tom.
** He's also possessed by Kate at the beginning of ''Trick or Threat''; unlike the other examples, this is downplayed as he's more of a victim than a villain.
* TheyKilledKennyAgain:
** In ''Eddsworld Halloween Short'', he's decapitated by a shotgun blast.
** In ''Zombeh Attack'', he gets bitten by a zombeh.
** In ''Zombeh Attack III'', he falls into a pot of scalding cheese fondue.
** In ''Ruined'', he falls to his death along with Tom, Tord, and Edd (although Edd survived the fall) when a trapdoor opens beneath him.
** In ''Eddsworld Halloween Special 2007'', he dies of a heart attack.
** In ''Matt Sucks'', he explodes after being exposed to sunlight.
** In ''Climate Change'', he dies along with Tom and Edd when a massive tidal wave comes toward their house once again in the end.
** In ''Fan Service'', he succumbs to a fatal allergic reaction from the gang's new pug.
** In ''Fan Service 2'', he [[DrivenToSuicide jumps off a building]] after subjecting himself to erotic fanfiction and fanart of Eddsworld.
** In ''Slippery Slope'', his female counterpart ends up freezing to death.
* ThrowTheDogABone: At the end of Surf and Turf Part 2, though he spent most of the episode as a lobster kaiju his actions lead to the boys winning a sand castle contest when he turns back, earning him a ribbon and actual praise from Edd and Tom when he turns back to normal.
* TooDumbToLive:
** In ''Hide and Seek'', he hid in the fridge and appeared to be freezing to death and hallucinating living food.
** In ''Zombeh Attack'', he attempts to ask a ''zombie'' for directions and gets his arm bit off before he can even finish the question.
* TookALevelInDumbass: In the later shorts. Explained in ''The End: Part 1'' as him suffering from self-inflicted amnesia.
* TooSpicyForYogSothoth: His annoying personality made the demon quickly vacate.
* VocalEvolution: His voice became considerably more high-pitched in later episodes. ''The End: Part 2'' also plays with this, and brings his voice down again.
* YouAreInCommandNow: "Fan Service 2" and "Casting Call" portray him as the new director of Eddsworld after Edd's passing and Tom's departure.

[[folder:Tom]]
!!Tom
!!!'''Voiced by:''' [[Creator/TomSka Thomas Ridgewell]] (2005 - 2016), Alex L'Abbé (2004), Ed Templer (2021 onwards)
[[quoteright:274:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/f9c55ba3_99a9_4e57_89f4_4031fbdd28f3.png]]
[[caption-width-right:274:"Holy lonely pony eating macaroni!"]]
->''Tom!'' (Blue hoodie!) ''Both angry and rude!\\
Maybe it's his smarts; maybe it's the 'tude!\\
One thing's for certain, he doesn't make sense!\\
Half the time, it's gibberish; the other half's in goobelyblench!'' (What?)

The sarcastic, bitter, eyeless alcoholic in a blue hoodie. Resident {{Jerkass}} and voice of reason whenever Edd doesn't fulfil that role.
----
* AbandonedCatchphrase: From 2020 onwards, Tom has stopped using the "Holy X on a Y" mad-libs catchphrase, as demonstrated in "Casting Call".
-->'''Bing:''' ''(auditioning for Tom)'' Holy trombones on a polo stick!\\
'''Matt:''' Yeah, we really don't do that anymore.\\
''(Tom looks in shock, then sulks)''
* TheAlcoholic: Sent to rehab once because of it.
* AmbiguouslyBi: During Pride Month 2023, the official Twitter page provided artwork of the boys getting into shenanigans at a Pride event, with Tom specifically shown wearing a headband with bisexual colours on it. The ambiguity stems mostly from the dubious canonicity of the Twitter images.
* AmbiguouslyHuman: Given that he was born to two inanimate objects, has either dark holes for eyes or pitch-black eyes, and his "hair" has bones and blood inside of it in "[=PowerEdd=]" and "Zombeh Picnic" and is briefly implied to have a mind of its own, it's not hard to wonder about him...
* AxCrazy: The most sociopathic of the three, especially after his reverse {{Flanderization}}.
* BerserkButton: Christmas, Diet Smirnoff, eye-related puns, destroying his bass.
* BetterToDieThanBeKilled: Chooses to be ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice by his own stake Gatling gun rather than let Vampire Matt bite him in ''Matt Sucks''.
-->'''Matt:''' Now that's just not fair.
* BeyondTheImpossible: How he was born. His mom's a bowling ball, and his dad's a pineapple.
* BigNo: After Edd [[spoiler:attacks Future Edd with Tom's bass]].
* BigOlUnibrow: [[ArtEvolution Used]] to have one.
* BlackComedyAnimalCruelty: He once "broke" Edd's cat Ringo as revenge for him breaking his bass in "Ruined".
* BlueIsHeroic: He wears a blue hoodie and is one of the main heroes.
* BodyHorror: In "Matt Sucks" and "[=PowerEdd=]", it's revealed that Tom's hair can bleed and has bones in it, respectively. How the heck does ''that'' work!?
* ButtMonkey: Usually was the punching bag of the gang in the earlier shorts, and was dealt the most physical abuse of the four; although starting in 2009, Matt has taken over this role. {{Deconstructed|Trope}} in the "Legacy" finale, when Tord comes back, he's whipped back into this role and hates every second of it, eventually having enough of it and leaving the main group... temporarily, at least.
* CharacterCatchphrase: "Lame." usually when he's annoyed, injured or about to be injured.
* CharacterizationMarchesOn: He was more of a {{Cloudcuckoolander}} and a [[TheDitz ditz]] before Tord left.
* CompanionCube:
** His hair, Steve.
** Also his shoe, named Shoe. [[SarcasmMode How creative.]]
** And his bass, Susan.
** Tom's overall tendency to befriend inanimate objects may have something to do with the fact that his parents were inanimate objects.
* ADayInTheLimelight: Tom's Tales of Awesome/Brilliance/Crazy.
* DeadpanSnarker: Very bitter and sarcastic.
* EarlyInstallmentCharacterDesignDifference: Tom originally had a single unibrow in place of eyes and no visible mouth unless speaking.
* EyelessFace: Just empty eye sockets. He once attempted to rub his eyes in disbelief in "Hammer and Fail 2", but his hands ended up getting stuck in their eye sockets. He gains normal eyes in "Space Face (Part 1)" courtesy of Edd shooting him with a Normaliser, only to [[EyeScream lose them to Matt with a laser gun]].
* TheGrinch: Probably related to being a Jehovah's Witness. In ''Christmas Eddventure'', [[spoiler:this trait gives away a Tom impostor because he revealed that he made Christmas dinner for Edd and Matt and wanted to spend Christmas with them that way, which Edd notes is out-of-character for Tom]].
* HollywoodJehovahsWitness: Subverted. It's offhandedly mentioned twice but never appears again. He's never seen walking door-to-door with pamphlets.
* HotSkittyOnWailordAction: He gets his hair from his father and his EyelessFace from his mother. Said father and mother are a [[BeyondTheImpossible pineapple and a bowling ball]] respectively.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Has his moments. For example, he takes a laser beam to the eyes to save Santa in Zanta Claws II. As revealed in [=WTFuture=], [[spoiler:it gave him cancer]]. Or when he saved [[spoiler:the world from Tord.]]
* JerkWithAHeartOfJerk: PlayedForLaughs in "Beaster Bunny", when Edd notices the Beaster Bunny, but Tom mistakenly believes he is referring to the man in the Easter Bunny costume.
-->'''Edd:''' Is that... a bunny?\\
'''Matt:''' Why, yes! Thank you for noticing.\\
'''Edd:''' No! BIG bunny!\\
[scene shifts to a man in an Easter Bunny costume]\\
'''Tom:''' [[SarcasmMode Yes. Big bunny.]]\\
'''Edd:''' No! Huge! Giant! Grotesque! Bunny!\\
'''Easter Bunny:''' [drooping] Aww...\\
'''Tom:''' [shocked] Edd! That was really mean! [grinning] Proud of you, buddy!
* LargeHam: Tom is the hammiest and loud in earlier episodes. Later episodes show him to play this more seriously.
* MadLibsCatchphrase: "Holy X on a Y!" [[AbandonedCatchphrase This was eventually scrapped]] as of 2020, according to Matt in "Casting Call", much to Tom's dismay.
* MythologyGag: As of 2020, whenever he blinks, his eyes turn into a black line for a split second, referencing his design from 2004-2006.
* NonStandardCharacterDesign: Aside from his lack of eyes, Tom's head is noticeably rounder compared to the other characters, and mixed with EarlyInstallmentWeirdness, he was drawn without ears as well in the earlier episodes.
* OnlySaneMan: Since mid-2007, Tom has been the most levelheaded of the cast, being not too heartful, but grittier than the rest.
* PetTheDog: He has a rare FriendshipMoment with [[TheFriendNobodyLikes Matt]] at the end of "Space Face".
-->'''Tom:''' Hey Matt?\\
'''Matt:''' Yeah?\\
'''Tom:''' [[SincerityMode You're alright]].\\
'''Matt:''' Really!?\\
'''Tom:''' Yeah.\\
'''Matt:''' YAAAAAAAAAY-\\
(Matt's vanity then re-powers the ship, causing them to crash into their backyard)\\
'''Matt:''' [[PlotAllergy My allergies]]!
* SanityBall: Passed between him and Edd.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: [[spoiler:He leaves the house at the end of ''The End Part 1'' when Edd lets Tord move into Tom's room.]]
* ShorterMeansSmarter: If the ''Saloonatics'' designs are canon, he's the shortest of the trio, while also having the most common sense.
* SourOutsideSadInside: Seems to be this, with his habit of randomly saying things like "Nobody will ever love me."
* TeamDad: In later episodes, he sometimes slips into this category. Can easily be seen in the opening to "The End (part 1)", which not only makes him look like a dad and Edd look like a mom but also makes Matt look like their ''child''.
* TemporarilyAVillain: In "Zanta Claws III".
* TheyKilledKennyAgain: Tom holds the distinction of being the main cast member with the most deaths:
** In ''Eddsworld Halloween Short 2005'', he gets impaled on a sword by Matt.
** In ''Zombeh Nation'', he and the others are gunned down by a chopper crew.
** In ''Ruined'', he, along with Tord and Matt, are crushed by Edd as the four fall down a trapdoor-triggered pit.
** In ''Eddsworld Halloween Special 2007'', he's again skewered with a sword by the axe maniac (something he mocks).
** In ''Matt Sucks'', he impales himself with stakes after accidentally impaling Edd with a few.
** In ''Climate Change'', he dies, along with Matt and Edd. when a massive tidal wave comes toward their house once again in the end.
** In ''Date Night'', [[CruelAndUnusualDeath he gets eaten by radioactive socks from the feet up.]]
** In the non-canon short ''Rock Bottom'', he and Edd drown once Edd tries to open the door to the house.
* TokenEvilTeammate: Has fewer moral restraints than the others, especially after Tord left the show.
* TookALevelInJerkass: Is more of a jerk from mid-2009 onwards.
* TookALevelInKindness: Again, in the Legacy era, Tom becomes a bit nicer.
* ToonPhysics: He has a tendency to take advantage of these, most notably by warping his arm around offscreen to high-five himself or point to himself.
* UnsympatheticComedyProtagonist: Everything Tom does after his DivergentCharacterEvolution is nearly amoral, but he has a moral compass.
* VocalEvolution:
** His voice started becoming more expressive and emotional around the Legacy era.
** His voice as of the Beyond era is noticeably higher pitched due to the change in his current voice actor.
* TheVoiceless: Throughout "Casting Call", he is completely silent due to not having a voice actor (Thomas Ridgewell had left and Ed Templer had yet to be cast).
* WithFriendsLikeThese: He and Tord never got on well. [[spoiler:When Tord moves back in during ''The End'', it turns out they still don't.]]

[[folder:Tord ('''UNMARKED SPOILERS''')]]
!!Tord
!!!'''Voiced by:''' Tord Larsson (2005 - 2008), Alex L'Abbe (2004), Jamie Spicer-Lewis (2016)
[[quoteright:274:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/692ca685_e028_4692_9af5_adc0582c6296.png]]
[[caption-width-right:274:"Son of a..."]]

Tord was the fourth main character in the show. A Norwegian trigger-happy gun nut wearing a red hoodie, he was PutOnABus after the episode "Moving Targets", because Tord, the real person, wanted to start his own career (this didn't go well).

He returns in "The End", in a far more antagonistic role than he held previously.
----
* AffablyEvil: While he isn't ''evil'' (or doesn't show it until ''The End''), he is easily the most violent member of the gang.
* AxCrazy: {{Downplayed|Trope}}, but his obsession with guns can lead to this.
* BackForTheFinale: Or at least, that of the Eddsworld Legacy-produced episodes - he returns in the "The End" two-parter.
* BadassLongcoat: He sported a black one in earlier episodes and wore a blue military coat in his wanted poster.
* BerserkButton:
** The song "Sunshine, Lollipops and Rainbows" is the bane of his existence. The episode "Hello Hellhole" reveals that being forced to listen to it on a loop is his personal Hell, while "Ruined" implies that he considers it a FateWorseThanDeath.
** In ''The End (Part 2)'', Tord decks Matt so hard in the face that he goes flying across the room ''over almost pressing a button''. He probably would have gone further had Edd not stepped in to calm him down. Though said button was also the one that would've exposed his giant robot...
* BigBad: He's this for ''The End'', and ultimately the ''Eddsworld Legacy'' arc, being the most dangerous threat the gang faces.
* BitchInSheepsClothing: Tord becomes this since he acts like a NiceGuy around Edd, Tom, and Matt, but in the series' GrandFinale, he's actually become an AxCrazy megalomaniac and part of the Red Army:
** In "The End Part 1": Throughout the montage of them going on adventures, Tord constantly harms Tom. When the gang returns home, Tord asks if he can have his old room back, which now belongs to Tom. Tom loses his temper, tossing the couch through the wall and storming out. Edd wants to go after Tom, but Tord manages to persuade Edd to stay and catch up now that he's back. Matt suggests they all check out his toy collection, and Tord follows up by saying they should watch ''Return of the Insane Zombie Pirates from Hell 4''. The animation ends with Edd saying "Just like old times, right?" and Tord responding with "Just like old times...", before closing the curtains with an evil smirk on his face.
** In "The End Part 2": Tord sneaks away from Edd and Matt and into his/Tom's old room. He flips a lever hidden behind a portrait of a button behind a portrait of himself, revealing a hidden room filled with advanced technology and weaponry. He goes to press a large button in the center of the room. However, before he can, Edd interrupts him. He pretends to be innocent and attempts to convince Edd the room is merely a laundry room, but Edd runs past and begins pressing buttons, causing objects around the house to come to life and start acting as weapons. Matt arrives, and joins Edd in pressing buttons. He attempts to press the large button (even though the big red button was also for The Giant Robot), but Tord punches him in the face in order to stop him. Edd becomes shocked when he sees Matt is visibly hurt, until Tord offers to take them for ice cream to make him feel better to avoid getting in trouble However, Edd starts to get suspicious about Tord, however, when Tom gets to the house, he catches Tord about to press the button and questions him about the hidden room and the wanted poster. Tord reveals that the large red button is merely to dispense his favorite hat, but then turns to press another button, dropping him into the cockpit of a robot, modeled after himself.
* BodyHorror: His right arm and [[FacialHorror right half of his face]] get bloodily torn off by the destruction of his giant robot in the final moments of ''The End Part 2''.
* TheBusCameBack:
** In a handful of comics and episodes (such as ''Fun Dead'' and ''[=PowerEdd=]''), he shows up as a background cameo and may be the "Red Leader" who Future Tom calls in ''[=WTFuture=]''. He finally returns in a major role in ''The End''.
** During the "Red October" event ''Eddsworld'' did in 2021, Tord got the spotlight in the comics for the first time since ''2008''.
* TheCameo: After his departure, he's been referenced in most episodes. His voice actor also returned briefly in "[=WTFuture=]" to re-record a line from "Zombeh Attack (2005)".
* CovertPervert: "Behind the Scenes" reveals that he has a hentai addiction. Though he insists it's not an addiction, he quickly contradicts himself. What makes it covert is that it's not brought up much on the show (though "The End" alludes to it by revealing his Secret Lab has a poster of a bikini-clad anime girl standing on a beach with a tentacle emerging from the sea behind her).
-->'''Tord:''' I will always miss my 90 gigabytes of hentai. It's not gone, I just haven't looked at it for three hours.
* DevilishHairHorns: More prominently so in ''The End'', presumably to emphasize the fact that he's now a villain.
* EarlyInstallmentCharacterDesignDifference: Tord's debut had him wear a black trench coat and have flat, dark-brown, spiky hair. We would gain his hair tufts in ''Zombeh Attack'' and his red hoodie in ''Tord Says Whatever'', a Newgrounds animation made by Edd. His hair would also become a lighter coffee color.
* EvilFormerFriend: When he returns in ''The End'', he intends to retrieve a super weapon (a giant mecha) and kill his old friends. This is assuming he wasn't EvilAllAlong.
* FaceHeelTurn: He's a wanted criminal come ''The End'' and becomes the gang's enemy.
* FalseFriend: He's shown to be this for Edd and Matt in ''The End''.
* FauxAffablyEvil: Becomes this in ''The End''.
* FinalBoss: He is the final antagonist of the ''Eddsworld Legacy'' era.
* {{Foreshadowing}}: His return and affiliation with the "Red Army" was foreshadowed all the way back in "The Snogre" and then in "Fun Dead".
* GadgeteerGenius: In ''The End'', we learn that he's this, having invented portable retractable sofas, a memory-eraser gun, an entire secret lab in his bedroom and a giant robot.
* GunNut: Has an unhealthy obsession with guns and firepower. And even giant robots.
* HesBack: He's back with the gang in ''The End'', but not for any benevolent reasons...
* HornsOfVillainy: The unused designs for his Red Leader outfit featured a mask with horns on it. Hilariously, the horns matched his hair.
* HumongousMecha: Serves as his superweapon in ''The End''. He reunited with the gang solely to reclaim it, and he intends to TakeOverTheWorld with it.
* JerkassToOne: Tord is mostly antagonistic towards Tom, while he gets along with Edd and Matt at most of the time. That's in the past, of course.
* LateArrivalSpoiler: His absence in ''Beyond'' makes it clear that his return in "The End" is ''not'' permanent.
* LongBusTrip: It took ''eight years'' for his character to come back. Unfortunately, he was ''once again'' PutOnABus after the ''Legacy'' era ended, and he hasn't appeared in ''Beyond'' as of "Surf & Turf Wars Part 2".
* MisplacedAccent: Subverted in that Tord's original actor played him with a typical [[NorseByNorsewest Norwegian]] accent. However, his new voice actor in ''The End'' plays it with a slight Russian accent.
* NorseByNorsewest: Averted. He isn't portrayed as a stereotypical Scandinavian: he's ginger-ish, average looking, and pretty damn violent.
* ObviouslyEvil: He's reintroduced in ''The End Part 1'' with his {{Slasher Smil|e}}ing face shrouded in shadow and uttering his WhamLine in a sinister tone. The audience can quickly tell that he's up to no good.
* OddNameOut: Edd, Matt and Tom are all very common names in the Anglosphere, but "Tord" is likely to sound much more unusual and exotic to English speakers' ears. Subverted in that it's actually a very common name in his native [[NorseByNorsewest Norway]].
* PointlessBandAid: Wears one in "The End".
* PutOnABus: He drives off at the start of ''25 ft. Under the Seat''.
* TheQuietOne: Even back when he was a main character, Tord didn't talk much. Allegedly, this was a trait of his real-life counterpart. Averted when he returns, wherein he's much more talkative.
* RedAndBlackAndEvilAllOver: Tord's main color scheme is a red hoodie and black pants; he is the most violent of the four, and he is revealed to be overtly evil in ''The End''.
* RedIsHeroic: He is primarily distinguished by his red hoodie, and he's one of the main heroes before his FaceHeelTurn sometime before "The End".
* RedIsViolent: Wears red and is easily the most violent of the four.
* RogueProtagonist: Started out as one of the four protagonists, until his return made him the BigBad.
* SameCharacterButDifferent: In his previous appearances, Tord was a quiet but also very violent individual who loved hentai. In "The End", he's depicted as a talkative DeadpanSnarker who's also a cold, cunning megalomaniac.
* SatanicArchetype: When he returns in ''The End'', his hair spikes have been made more prominent, giving him the appearance of having demonic horns, and his red color scheme gives him a rather demonic look. Fits well with his new attitude.
* SmokingIsCool: He's sometimes seen with a cigar.
* TakeOverTheWorld: We find out in ''The End'' that he has a giant robot built to do this hidden inside Edd's house.
* TheyKilledKennyAgain: Like the rest of the gang, he dies quite a bit:
** In "Zombeh Attack", he's eaten by a zombie.
** In "Eddsworld Halloween Short 2005", he's sliced in half by Matt.
** In "Zombeh Attack 2", he ascends to Heaven after Edd frees his soul from his zombification.
** In "Zombeh Nation", he and the others are gunned down by a helicopter.
** In "Zombeh Attack 3", his ghost is shot by Tom.
** In "Ruined", he falls to his death along with Tom, Matt and Edd (although Edd survived the fall) when a trapdoor opens beneath him.
** In "Eddsworld Halloween Special 2007", he's stabbed with a wooden stake by the man wearing the hockey mask.
* TokenEvilTeammate: Easily the most violent of the four, happily reminiscing about the time he once used real guns in a paintball game. As of ''The End'', he's revealed as the one member of the crew who's outright evil.
* TookALevelInJerkass: Tord wasn't exactly ''nice'' to begin with, but ''The End'' has him deliberately coerce Tom into leaving while he takes his place, plotting to TakeOverTheWorld with a HumongousMecha. Then again, it's implied he was ''always'' this way. (Or at least since after "Moving Targets".)
* TriggerHappy: Oh, [[ExaggeratedTrope that's scratching the surface...]] He is always the first to advocate solving any problem the gang faces with overwhelming firearms, and according to Zanta Claws, Tord used real guns in a paintball game and ''delighted in it''.
* {{Unperson}}: Part 1 of ''Surf & Turf Wars'' shows a picture of the gang when they were teenagers, but Tord's face was ripped out. Given that this is set after ''The End'', it can be reasonably inferred that the gang deliberately ripped his face out as if to declare that Tord is dead to them.
* VillainExitStageLeft: After crashing his giant robot, Tord is last seen watching the gang from afar whilst getting his injuries patched up by Paul and Patryck, before leaving.
* WalkingSpoiler: It's nearly impossible to talk about his characterization in ''The End'' without spoiling the big twist of his FaceHeelTurn.
* WithFriendsLikeThese: He didn't get on well with Tom. And when he returns, we find out he still doesn't.

[[caption-width-right:337:Well then, perhaps we could team up, Tom, and destroy Christmas once and for-]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Joshua Tomar
A Christmas-themed villain. He is a zombie Santa Claus who intends to destroy Christmas.
----
* AudienceSurrogate: He gets upset in ''Zanta Claws II'' when Edd mentions Tord leaving, stating that he was his favorite. This mirrors the reaction many people had to the intro to ''25ft Under the Seat'', which began with Tord leaving.
* BackFromTheDead: To destroy Christmas.
* BadSanta: Duh.
* BigBad: Of "Zanta Claws" and "Zanta Claws II", though [[TemporarilyAVillain Tom]] hijacks this role from him in "Zanta Claws III".
* BigBadDuumvirate: Unsuccessfully {{invoked}}. He offers Tom an opportunity to team up with him and destroy Christmas once and for all, but Tom takes over his sleigh and seeks to ruin Christmas for everyone all by himself.
* EnemyMine: Briefly teams up with Edd, Matt and Santa to stop Tom in Zanta Claws III.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: Not even ''he'' is happy about Tord leaving the show.
* EvilIsHammy: He's one of the biggest hams in the whole show, and he's also a villain.
* TheGrinch: He hates Christmas because [[spoiler: he died and Santa took his place.]]
* LargeHam: One of the biggest ones in the show, often screaming his lines or putting heavy emphasis on certain words.
* LegacyCharacter: [[spoiler:Zanta points out that the current Santa took his place after he died, giving the implication that Zanta himself was this for a previous Santa, and so on.]]
* NotMeThisTime: He tells Edd and Matt that ''he'' is not the one responsible for ruining Christmas in Zanta Claws III. He then shows the still sceptical Edd and Matt the destruction Tom is causing.
* OurZombiesAreDifferent: Well, he's a Zombie Santa Claus.
* TheyKilledKennyAgain: He's punched into the stratosphere and presumed dead in his first appearance, then crushed by a chandelier in his second appearance. Given that he's a zombie, we can assume that he's simply incapable of being killed normally.
* VillainHasAPoint: In his first appearance, his grievances against Edd (didn't thank his milkman for his Christmas card), Tom (ate a pie marked "do not eat"), and Matt (stepped on a bug) are very petty; his against Tord (used real guns in a game of paintball) is not.

%% Tropes applying ''only''' to Future Edd:
* ArmyOfTheAges: Invoked when Future Edd brings his ancestors to form his "[=Army of MEEEEEeeeees=]", but the temporal shock drove his ancestors mad.
* BadassLongcoat: Wears a longcoat over his green hoodie.
* BigBad: Of "[=WTFuture=]".
* DrivenToSuicide: After Coca-Cola was outlawed, he tries to commit suicide by killing his past self. It's {{played for laughs}}.
* HighCollarOfDoom: Sports an overcoat with a popped collar.
* {{Hypocrite}}: He dismisses the possibility of a TemporalParadox resulting from his TemporalSuicide as a movie trope. However, when he time-travels to "Zombeh Attack", Matt, after having his arm bitten off, crawls to Future Edd for aid. Future Edd declines, saying he does not want to create a paradox.
* {{Jerkass}}: An unpleasant and selfish man who would ruin the future just because he can't have his favorite drink.
* RayGun: Future Edd's pistol morphs from a fairly ordinary gun into a futuristic one that blasts energy beams.
* SoundEffectBleep: He's from the year two thousand and-*TRUCK HORN*
* TemporalSuicide: How he intends to prevent himself from ever experiencing the BadFuture.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Cola. It being outlawed drove him to paradoxical suicide. Bacon's still around, though.
* UsedToBeASweetKid: Outlawing Cola didn't do him any good.
* WaveMotionGun: His laser gun takes a while to charge, but it fires a very devastating beam that destroys everything in its path.

* BadBoss: Often blames Larry for his own shortcomings.
* BaitAndSwitchBoss: He is set up as the main villain of "Spares", but he never once displays any malicious intent towards the gang. The real villains are the clones he makes.
* TheBusCameBack: He and Larry get a cameo in ''The End Part 2'' when Tom is going house hunting. They sic rabid dogs on him.

The clones of the gang, created by the Evil Director.
----
* AmbiguousSituation: Is the surviving Matt clone still around? Matt ''did'' make that "Matt on Matt Action" DVD, after all...
* AxCrazy: The Tord clones (or maybe one particular Tord clone) whips out his guns constantly. Additionally, all the clones burn down an arcade and later try to kill the original Edd for killing one of their Edds.
* BodyHorror: PlayedForLaughs with the rejects. Outside of the Tom that didn't get Bing's movie, the clones in reject room #64 are all deformed in some way: there's a Matt with a photorealistic head, a visibly troubled amalgamation of all four boys with a normal eye and Tom's black eye, a clone with elements of Tord and Tom, and a short Tom that looks like a children's drawing.
* CloneDegeneration: All of them are even crazier and dumber than the originals.
* DisproportionateRetribution:
** An otherwise normal Tom clone gets put into a room of screwed-up clones simply because he didn't laugh at one of the jokes in Bing's movie.
** The clones burn down an arcade after the attendant gives them a lame prize.
** Edd invites the clones to get a drink, but one Edd clone takes the Cola can in Edd's hand. Edd shoots that clone in the head with a shotgun.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: The clones are initially amicable to the originals when they go to the house, but immediately turn on them after Edd kills one of the clone Edds.
* InTouchWithHisFeminineSide: One Tom clone desires to go shoe and kitten shopping. Subverted in that the other clones throw him in the trash for it.
* NakedPeopleAreFunny: One of Edd's clones appears to be naked, and his confused expression implies that even he doesn't know why.
* ShoutOut: One of the Matt clones is dressed like Waldo from ''Literature/WheresWaldo''.

* Area51: Has a sign saying "Sector 51".
* BigBad: Of ''Space Face'', ultimately.
* BigOlUnibrow: One of the aliens has one, drawn exactly like Paul's.
* TheBusCameBack: They return in ''The End Part 1'', during the montage where the boys recreate old memories to include Tord. Apparently, Commander Bai and his crew have been stranded on a small moon for a while and hitchhiking for a ride home.

!!Other Characters
[[folder:Ringo]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/eddsworldlegacymirrormirrormeow.jpg]]
Edd's cat who, naturally, lives with the boys.
----
* CatsAreMean: {{Averted|Trope}}, she's sweet as can be.
* CharacterOutlivesActor: {{Downplayed|Trope}} as Ringo wasn't really an "actor", but the real-life cat she was based on had already passed away by the time the show became a big hit.
* CuteKitten: Edd adores her, and for good reason.
* OutOfFocus: In the classic era, she only appeared in two early flash animations and then stopped appearing, except for a brief mention in "25ft Under the Seat" when Tom mentions "breaking" her.
* TeamPet: She doesn't show up often, but she's this for Edd and his friends.
* UnexplainedRecovery: According to "25ft Under the Seat", Tom apparently "broke" her offscreen, but she's alive and well in all subsequent episodes.

[[folder:Paul]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/0fe8f352_7738_4f42_bde4_6d6579a2c594.jpeg]]
->'''Voiced by:''' [[http://paultervoorde.tumblr.com Paul ter Voorde]]
A Dutch guy with large eyebrows and a ''lot'' of jobs.
----
* BigOlEyebrows: His eyebrows are essentially a massive pair of rectangles. In ''Paul's Tale'', his 20-feet tall eyebrows are essentially the focus of the short to the point where he hates his eyebrows for being so massive, he tries to get rid of them, but eventually decides to kill himself when he realizes that he can't do anything about them.
* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: As of ''Eddsworld: Beyond'', he seems to have been phased out due to the real Paul leaving, and is replaced by a similar character in ''The Beaster Bunny''.
* EvilAllAlong: ''The End'' reveals that he and Patryck were working for [[spoiler:Tord]] the whole time. Though ''The Snogre'' and ''Fun Dead'' kinda foreshadowed this.
* EyeScream: An offscreen case. In the climax of ''The End'', one of his eyes is covered up by bandages and there's a scar peeking out from underneath said bandages. This is assumed to be a result of him being attacked by zombies in the beginning of ''Fun Dead''.
* {{Jerkass}}: His EstablishingCharacterMoment in ''Moving Targets'' is responding to a fellow soldier's concern by telling him that no one cares.
* LivingProp: Rarely has any bearings on the actual plot of any episode and tends to make one-scene appearances. Even when he's not there in the flesh, there are other species that share his eyebrows, as seen in ''[=25ft=] Under The Seat'' and ''Space Face''.
* NewJobAsThePlotDemands: An army guy, a power plant worker, an astronaut, a co-pilot, etc. The army guy role is his most frequent one, though.
* PermaStubble: He's got some scruff, but never a full beard.
* PerpetualFrowner: He's rarely seen smiling. His usual expression is either one of boredom or anger.
* RecurringExtra: Shows up often enough and has a real-life counterpart who is/was close enough with the rest of the group that the fanbase seems to regard him as something of an honorary main character.
* SmokingIsCool: Always seen with a cigarette.
* StoppedCaring: In ''Moving Targets'', Paul responds to a fellow soldier's question about hearing something with "It's just the sound of NO ONE CARING!"
* StraightManAndWiseGuy: The Wise Guy to Patryck's Straight Man, at least according to ''The Snogre''.
* WhatExactlyIsHisJob: He holds several throughout the series, though ultimately, he serves as a soldier of the "Red Army".
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Hellucard]]
[[quoteright:255:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hellucard.png]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Dominic Charbonneau
A random guy who likes to say "hi" to Edd.
----
* CharacterCatchphrase: "Hey Edd!" though due to his accent it sounds like "'Ey Head!", which is frequently lampshaded.
* DistaffCounterpart: A female version of him gets a cameo in "Mirror Mirror".
* TheDitz: He seems pretty slow on the uptake, as shown in "Spares" when he obliviously greets a slew of Edd clones (including one who's [[NakedPeopleAreFunny completely naked]] for no adequately explained reason) without noticing anything is amiss. He does it again in "[=WTFuture=]", when he greets Edd the first time, then greets Future Edd without noticing any problems...which gets him killed.
* FiveSecondForeshadowing: The present-day gang is hiding in a diner to hide from Future Edd. Present-day Edd then hears a faint "Hey Edd!" come from outside, just before Hellucard is thrown through the diner's doors by Future Edd.
* FlatCharacter: Kind of to be expected, seeing as he exists mainly as a living RunningGag.
* MooseAndMapleSyrup: He's from Canada, like his voice actor.
* NiceGuy: He's always offering a friendly greeting.
* PerkyGoth: Probably, seeing as his most frequently seen outfit is a black shirt with a skull on it.
* RunningGag: He's a living one.
* RunningGagged: In the animations, he hasn't said a word since ''[=WTFuture=]'' in 2010, with his most recent physical appearance as of this writing being in "Space Face Part 2" from 2012, with him holding up a sign with his CatchPhrase on it instead of saying it out loud. While he gets small cameos or mentions afterwards, he never really has a relevant appearance again in any of the subsequent episodes.
* TheyKilledKennyAgain: He's killed by Future Edd in "[=WTFuture=]", returns in "Space Face" only to be killed by Paul, ''then'' returns as a zombie in "Fun Dead". Considering the fact that he later returned, alive and well, in a comic, we can assume this trope is in play.

[[folder:Future Tom and Future Matt]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/future_tom_and_matt.jpg]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Thomas Ridgewell and Matt Hargreaves
Future versions of Tom and Matt, who came to the past to stop Future Edd from killing his past self.
----
* AmbiguouslyEvil: They're apparently affiliated with Red Leader (implied and later confirmed to be Future Tord) and got their time machine from him. However, it's implied that Red Leader ''also'' gave Future Edd his time machine and the two of them entered the past to ''stop'' Future Edd from doing something evil himself (killing his past self for a selfish reason and potentially ruining the future). It's not clear if this means Tord ends up having a HeelFaceTurn in the future or if the other guys simply decided to join him themselves.
* {{Cyborg}}: Future Matt has a mechanical eye and metallic chin, though Future Edd messing up the past causes him to lose these.
* HeroAntagonist: From Future Edd's perspective, at least; they're there to stop him from killing his past self and potentially destroying the future.
* {{Narcissist}}: Showing that some things never change, Future Matt is this. He gets ''really'' mad when Future Edd's time travel shenanigans cause him to gain a bad comb-over.
* NoodleIncident: Tom's visor comes from getting cancer after taking a laser to the face to save Santa Claus, we never find out why Matt had a metallic implant in his chin and a mechanical eye.
* OneWayVisor: Future Tom wears one that has green digitized pupils. Apparently, the laser he took to the face resulted in him getting cancer.
* RetGone: Played for laughs; Future Matt's cybernetic implants and some of his ''hair'' suffer this fate due to Future Edd's time travel shenanigans.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: Like Future Edd, we are never told of their fates after [[spoiler:Present Matt goes back in time and changes everything]]. They ''may'' have been {{Ret Gone}}d out of existence, but it's not clear.

[[folder:Kim]]
[[quoteright:152:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kim_and_katya.png]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/KiraBuckland
A hot girl who moves in next door to the boys, prompting Edd and Tord to fight for her affections.
----
* {{Animesque}}: Drawn in this style, presumably to emphasize her attractiveness, though this comes with the consequence that she clashes heavily with the other characters (except Katya).
* TheBusCameBack: She and Katya appear in "Zombeh Attack 2" (as zombies) and in "The End Part 2" during Tom's house-hunting montage. The room they rent out to him seems totally perfect...until he discovers that they're right next door to an ''airport''.
* IncompatibleOrientation: [[spoiler:Poor Edd and Tord learn the hard way that they never stood a chance with her to begin with]].
* LipstickLesbian: [[spoiler:Revealed to be the case when her girlfriend shows up. Edd and Tord are heartbroken...until they remember that GirlOnGirlIsHot...]]
* MsFanservice: An attractive woman drawn in a deliberately {{Animesque}} style to emphasize her good looks. Naturally, both Edd and Tord are smitten with her and fight over her.
* NonStandardCharacterDesign: She's drawn in an anime style (Edd has stated she was drawn by Tord rather than himself and was initially a hentai character), resulting in this.
* OfficialCouple: With [[spoiler:Katya]].
* SatelliteLoveInterest: A justified example; it's made clear that Edd and Tord are only into her because she's hot and they never really get any insight into her personality... and as such, neither do the viewers. She's visibly annoyed when she watches them get into a fistfight over her at the end.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Katya]]

----
* {{Animesque}}: Just like Kim, she's drawn in this style.
* TheBusCameBack: Along with Kim, in "Zombeh Attack 2" and "The End Part 2".
* LipstickLesbian: [[spoiler:She's Kim's girlfriend]].
* NonStandardCharacterDesign: Like Kim, she was drawn by Tord in an anime style.
* OfficialCouple: With [[spoiler:Kim]].
* SatelliteLoveInterest: Whereas Kim's status as this more or less emphasizes Edd and Tord's shallowness, Katya only exists to be [[spoiler:Kim's girlfriend, and thus dash any chance of Kim being interested in Edd ''or'' Tord]].

* AsHimself: Subverted; Katey, for technical reasons, is voiced by Jenny Bingham, Tom's then-girlfriend. Played straight with Patryck.
* AuthorAvatar: Of sorts. Katey Harding drew a few guest comics.
* ButtMonkey: All of them suffered some horrible fates: got zombehfied, got left on another planet, burnt by a jet engine, crashed a plane or [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking dated Matt]]. Patryck ''does'' survive the plane crash, though.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: Patryck, along with Paul, ''causes the zombie apocalypse''.

'''Mark voiced by:''' [[http://www.benjaminrudman.com/ Ben Rudman]]
The gang's neighbors and rivals.

Eduardo has his own SelfDemonstrating page [[SelfDemonstrating/EduardoEddsworld here.]]
----
!!As a whole
* ALighterShadeOfBlack: They may be jerks, but as stated in the SitcomArchNemesis entry below, while they are antagonists, they are by no means actually ''dangerous'' (except in "[=PowerEdd=]", and even then it's only Eduardo), especially when compared to other villains like Zanta Claws, Future Edd or Tord.
* TheCameo:
** Tord's counterpart, Todd is very briefly shown in ''[=PowerEdd=]'' watching TV with Jon and Mark. All that can be seen of him is his sleeve.
** Mark makes multiple cameos in ''Fun Dead'', as well as one in one of [=TomSka=]'s ''Crash Zoom'' comics. He's also the only neighbor to make an appearance without his any of his housemates.
* EnemyMine: In Hammer and Fail 2, though not for very long.
* EvilCounterpart: Not evil ''per se'', but mean enough to qualify. Though in ''[=PowerEdd=]'', Eduardo had no issue destroying a Cola and bacon factory, not to mention a factory that makes green hoodies. All to spite Edd.
* FlatCharacter: Mark, who typically just hangs around the other two and doesn't get as many lines as Eduardo and Jon do. Todd even more so, since he's barely even ''seen.''
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold:
** Eduardo may be a jerk towards Edd and push Jon around, but he was sincerely amazed when Edd apologizes for [[spoiler:bullying him for getting second place. Even ''he'' thought Eduardo deserved first place for the drawing]]. In addition, when Edd is attacked by a [[spoiler:Mutant Tom]], [[spoiler: Eduardo comes to his rescue, proclaiming, [[HypocriticalHeartwarming "Nobody hurts my neighbor but]] ''[[HypocriticalHeartwarming me!"]]'']] [[spoiler:He's also genuinely saddened by Jon dying in ''The End (Part 2)'', and is depressed throughout his appearance in ''The Beaster Bunny'', [[NoSell unfazed by the titular monster roaring at him]]]].
--->'''Eduardo:''' ''[feigning terror]'' Ahh, oh no a giant ra- ''[sighs]'' I-I'm sorry. I just can't do this right now. I'm gonna go...
** Mark seems to be this as of ''The Beaster Bunny''. He joins Eduardo in insulting the gang, and his relationship with Jon is unclear since he is neither shown pushing Jon around nor defending him from Eduardo. On the other hand, he seems to genuinely care for Eduardo, as he takes the initiative to try to lift the depressed Eduardo's spirits by taking him outdoors.
--->'''Mark:''' Ahhh. You see, isn't it nice to get out of the house? You can get some fresh air, and I can get over my irrational fear of rabbits...
* NonStandardCharacterDesign:
** Eduardo is the only character to be drawn with rounded teeth, rather than the square teeth the rest of the cast have.
** Jon is the only character with BlackBeadEyes instead of BlackDotPupils, to serve as a counterpart to Tom's fully black eyes.
* TheRival: With Edd and his gang to an extent. This really shines when looking at Eduardo's relationship with Edd, in which Eduardo obsesses over excelling Edd in every way.
* SitcomArchNemesis: There's a reason why they're down here and not in the "Villains" category up there. Despite their antagonistic relationship with the trio, they ultimately are this, since they aren't dangerous and are more rivals at best/bullies at worst than actual villains. Not to mention the conflicts the protagonists have with them are much more humorous and low-stakes compared to the conflicts with the real villains of the series.
* TokenGoodTeammate: Both averted and played straight; Tord left before getting his own counterpart, though Jon would qualify for a while. [[WordOfGod According to Eddie Bowley]], there ''was'' a counterpart intended for Tord named Todd, who would've played this trope straight due to being a [[WesternAnimation/TheSimpsons Ned Flanders]] expy. He apparently made a cameo in ''[=PowerEdd=]'', but only a tiny sliver of his arm was visible and it's easily missed.

!!Eduardo/Numero Uno
* AlphaBitch: Eduardo's a RareMaleExample, being a catty asshole with a duo of henchmen who likes to antagonize the main group.
* AlwaysSomeoneBetter: Eduardo is obsessed with trying to be better than Edd in every way, from house extensions to satellite dishes and even superpowers. [[spoiler:This stems from an incident in pre-school, when Eduardo came in second for a drawing competition and got bullied for it.]]
-->'''Eduardo:''' Heh, problem!? I don't have any problems! I'm Numero Uno! ''You're'' the one who's comin' in second place!
* AwLookTheyReallyDoLoveEachOther: Eduardo oftwn shows heavy annoyance with Jon's stupidity, but [[spoiler:when Jon is mortally wounded in "The End (Part 2)", Eduardo is horrified and can only cradle his friend and futily beg him not to die. He's still grieving him as late as "The Beaster Bunny".]]
* BrooklynRage: Eduardo has hints of a Brooklyn accent and is particularly antagonistic towards Edd's gang. Even if he did attend kindergarten with his English peers...
* TheBully: They're all supposed to be this to Edd's group, though only Eduardo is really malicious enough to qualify. The rest are rude and snooty but aren't as driven by it as Eduardo.
* BreakTheHaughty: Eduardo may be a jerk to Edd's group and Jon, but he didn't deserve to lose his girlfriend, his house, and [[spoiler:one of his best friends]] in such a short span of time (with almost all of these incidents being inadvertently kicked off by Edd and the crew). ''The Beaster Bunny'' even shows him in a fairly realistic and sympathetic light, being rather depressed and apparently not leaving the house much since [[spoiler:Jon died]] and their house was destroyed.
* DisproportionateRetribution: [[spoiler:In ''[=PowerEdd=]'', it's revealed that the reason Eduardo hates Edd so much is that in pre-school, Edd beat Eduardo in a drawing competition and Edd made fun of him for being in second place]]. Yes, ''that is the reason''. Even ''Edd'' acknowledges [[spoiler:this is a dumb reason and states his drawing sucked anyway]]. Admittedly Eduardo was [[spoiler:bullied pretty hard for getting second place.]]
* FreudianExcuse: [[spoiler:Eduardo's rivalry with Edd stems from an incident in pre-school when Edd and the other classmates made fun of him for being in second place at a drawing contest. This is why Eduardo spent much of his life attempting to one-up Edd in every way, from house extensions to satellite dishes]].
* ItBeganWithATwistOfFate: Had the gang not chosen Shoe as the director in ''[=MovieMakers=]'', [[spoiler:Eduardo would probably still have his girlfriend with him...]]
* ItsPersonal: Throughout their fight in [=PowerEdd=], Eduardo demands Edd to admit that he is superior to him in every way... [[spoiler:because Edd and his classmates bullied him really hard when he got second place in a drawing contest]].
* OfficialCouple: Eduardo with [[spoiler:Laurel]] of all people. It's not clear if [[spoiler:her death]] is why she's considered his "ex-girlfriend" or if she broke up with him before [[spoiler:her death]].
* SayMyName:
-->'''Edd:''' Eduardoooooo..... ([[{{Leitmotif}} folk guitar sting]])
* SimilarSquad: To the gang in both name and features.
* SincerityMode: [[spoiler:Eduardo apparently did not expect Edd to apologise for bullying him for getting second place, and was pleasantly surprised. His only response is a stunned "Wow. I... uh..."]]
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Diet Coke for Eduardo, in contrast to Edd and Regular Coke. A mix-up between Cola shipments is what re-ignited the rivalry, according to ''Hammer and Fail''.

!!Jon
* BlackBeadEyes: Jon, being the counterpart for Tom, has two small dots for eyes that contrast with Tom's black void eyes.
* ButtMonkey: Jon is always being pushed around by Eduardo.
* DieLaughing: [[spoiler:Jon dies making a joke in ''The End (Part 2)''.]]
-->'''[[spoiler:Eduardo]]:''' [[spoiler:Say something, you idiot!]]\\
'''[[spoiler:Jon]]:''' [[spoiler:''(weakly)'' S-something. Hehe-heh-heheheh...]]
* KilledOffForReal: [[spoiler:Jon dies thanks to a missile from Tord's HumongousMecha in ''The End (Part 2)''. The last we see of him is as a ghost in the stinger. This was actually {{Enforced|Trope}} because [[ActorLeavesCharacterDies his voice actor was leaving the show]].]]
* MinionWithAnFInEvil: Jon constantly fails at bugging the gang.
* PutOnABus: Because of [[spoiler:his death in ''The End (Part 2)'']], Jon is completely absent in ''Beyond''.
* StupidEvil: Jon. He's ''horrible'' at bullying Edd's gang compared to Eduardo.
* VocalEvolution: In his debut, Jon sounded normal. In his next appearance onwards, Jon's voice changed to a SimpletonVoice, as if to show that a change of his voice shaved off a couple of his IQ points.

!!Mark
* AbsurdPhobia: Mark has an irrational fear of rabbits. Given that this is revealed in ''The Beaster Bunny'', one can imagine how well his trip with Eduardo to an Easter party turns out.
* AmbiguouslyGay: Mark made [[CharacterOverlap a cameo]] in a ''Crash Zoom'' comic holding a gay pride flag.
* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: Apparently, Mark has an irrational fear of rabbits.

!!Todd
* TheFaceless: Todd, Tord's counterpart, "appeared" in ''[=PowerEdd=]''... "appeared" as in "a tiny bit of his arm was visible for a few seconds". His actual appearance is still unknown, and we only know he even exists because Tom and Eddie confirmed his existence.

----
* DrillSergeantNasty: Being an obvious {{Expy}} of [[Film/FullMetalJacket Sgt. Hartman]], this is expected.
* EmbarrassingNickname: Edd asked if he could call him "Hilary", he naturally didn't take it kindly and promptly {{Megaton Punch}}ed Edd away.
* {{Expy}}: Of [[Film/FullMetalJacket Gunnery Sgt. Hartman]], even quoting him.
* {{Jerkass}}: Beats up Edd on two different occasions.
* TheNeidermeyer: And likely inspired by the TropeNamer from ''Film/AnimalHouse'', as well as [[Film/FullMetalJacket Gunnery Sgt. Hartman]], to boot.
* NoIndoorVoice: '''BIG TIME:'''

----
* TheCameo: A younger version of her is seen in the flashback in "[=PowerEdd=]."
* ColourCodedForYourConvenience: She wears a purple hoodie.
* KilledMidSentence: When she and the boys prepare to watch the movie they made, she says "I think we make a great t-" before Shoe kicks her in the back of the head, instantly killing her.
* KilledOffForReal: [[spoiler:She was murdered by Shoe, and hasn't returned as of ''Beyond''.]]
* KillTheCutie: Laurel's a rather nice girl who gets along well with the boys and has fun making movies with them, with the boys in turn being happy to have her...[[spoiler:and then she gets killed by Shoe when they were about to watch the movie they made.]]
* OfficialCouple: Apparently, she was [[spoiler:Eduardo]]'s girlfriend.
* SixthRanger: In ''Movie Makers'', and apparently she's a failed attempt to be a replacement for [[PutOnABus Tord.]] [[spoiler: "Failed" as in she ''[[KilledOffForReal died]]''.]]
* TooGoodForThisSinfulEarth: She's one of the few genuinely nice characters in the series...[[spoiler:and doesn't survive past her debut episode.]]

* WeHardlyKnewYe: [[spoiler:Ends up getting killed in her very first appearance.]]

A shoe that was apparently left by Tord when he moved out. He acts as the gang's casting director when Tom starts brainstorming for their movie.
----
* AmbiguouslyEvil: He mostly just seems like a jerk until he [[spoiler:murders Laurel to have a threesome with her shoes]].
* AnimateInanimateObject: He's a shoe that is apparently sentient and able to move on his own. However, he can't talk (or at least, can't talk audibly).
* CompanionCube: To the boys, though apparently mostly to Tom.
* KarmaHoudini: Receives no punishment for [[spoiler:killing Laurel]], and, according to a twitter post, successfully manages to [[spoiler:get married to her shoes]].
* {{Jerkass}}: He attacked Matt for questioning Tom, was rude to the actors who auditioned for him, only hired Laurel because her shoes are cute and [[spoiler:kills her so that he can have a threesome with said shoes]].
* MurderTheHypotenuse: [[spoiler:Kills Laurel in order to be with her shoes.]]
* RememberTheNewGuy: He's treated like he's been around the whole time despite only appearing in ''[=MovieMakers=]''. Even more jarringly, he's never seen again afterwards.
* AThreesomeIsHot: Parodied--he hired Laurel as the lead actor in the boys' movie solely because he was lusting after her pink shoes and later has a threesome with them after [[spoiler:killing their wearer]].
* SilentSnarker: Though everyone responds as if he's spoken out loud.
* WouldHitAGirl: [[spoiler:He hits Laurel with enough strength to ''kill her'' in order to stay with her shoes.]]

* TheCameo: He reappears in ''The End Part 2'', renting a room to Tom, and also appears as a little kid in Edd's flashback in "[=PowerEdd=]".
* DumbBlonde: His EstablishingCharacterMoment is obliviously butchering his "Romeo and Juliet" monologue during his audition and he later rents a room to Tom that he claims is "super spacious" when it's actually a closet.
* InnocentBlueEyes: His irises are more prominent than those of the other characters and he's a ditzy NiceGuy.
* NonStandardCharacterDesign: He's one of the few characters in the show to actually have coloured irises as opposed to just having black pupils.
* OutOfFocus: After his first appearance, he spent more than ''11 years'' without a single line until returning in "Casting Call".

'''Tori voiced by:''' N/A
Female versions of the boys from a parallel dimension in a magic mirror Matt bought. Ell (female Edd), Tamara (female Tom) and Matilda (female Matt) all take center stage in "Mirror, Mirror", while Tori (female Tord) cameos in "Fun Dead".
----
* TheCameo: Tori cameos as a zombie in "Fun Dead". She's easy to miss, but WordOfGod confirms that it's her. She also appears as a photograph in "Mirror Mirror".
* ColorCodedForYourConvenience: Like their male counterparts, Ell's associated with green, Tamara with blue and Matilda with purple and Tori with red. Additionally, Matilda has a green overcoat like Matt and Tori has a black coat over her red hoodie like Tord used to.
* DistaffCounterpart: To the main boys.
* TheDitz: Unsurprisingly, Matilda is this.
* GenderBentAlternateUniverse: All of them live in another universe where the cast is all the opposite gender.
* GoodCounterpart: Tori is one of Tord. Unlike him, she seems to be on good terms with her friends even after leaving (in contrast to Tord, who maintained no contact until his return), with an official drawing showing a postcard she sent to them. In a comic Tori is mentioned to have invited Ell on a fishing trip, meaning she's likely merely a traveler (although it's unknown if this will translate to the cartoon series since the comics are non canon). The events of "The End" most likely didn't happen in their universe, as [[spoiler:the original house is still intact]]. Some drawings by Paul and Sandra did show her [[spoiler:with bruises on her body, implying she's evil and in the Red Army like Tord, but those may have since been retconned.]]
* TheHecateSisters: Matilda, being the ditzy, energetic one, is the Maiden; Ell, being the one who keeps her cool under pressure, is the Mother; and Tamara, snarky and cynical, is the Crone.
* OnlySaneWoman: In their premiere episode, Ell is the only one who keeps her cool and comes up with an ''actual'' solution when they're being attacked by Dazeem.
* OutOfFocus: Due to her male counterpart leaving the show too early, Tori is a victim of this.
* PutOnABus: Pretty much from their debut due to its titular magic mirror being damaged, to "Casting Call" where they spontaneously appear at the very end as new introductions.
* TomboyishPonytail: Both Ell and Tamara. Tamara's sticks upward, presumably to resemble Tom's spiky hair.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Cola for Ell, to the surprise of no one.
* WomenAreWiser: Averted. The girls are every bit as wacky as their male counterparts.

* CuteKitten: Just like Ringo, she's adorable.
* PaletteSwap: Unlike her owners, who differ from their counterparts in gender, Tequila differs from Ringo in color, being a brown cat instead of a grey one (though both of them have stripes).

->'''Voiced by:''' Tim Hautekiet, Tom Ridgewell, Matt Hargreaves and Jamie Spicer-Lewis

The ancestors of the main gang from the old west town of Spitbucket USA. Detective Gold came looking for the kidnapped Prince Matthew, with help from Sheriff Thompson.
----
* TheAlcoholic: Sheriff Thompson, who goes into a HeroicBSOD when he discovered that the bandits stole all the whiskey and refuses to touch cola when he's informed that it's not alcoholic. He also tends to drink before he fires his gun, because, in his words, [[ArcWords "everybody needs a little something"]].
* ChickMagnet: Prince Matthew, who manages to attract [[VideoGame/{{Undertale}} Bratty and Catty]].
* DeadpanSnarker: Sheriff Thompson. Must run in Tom's family.
* EyepatchOfPower: Sheriff Thompson has one, alluding to Tom's black eye sockets.
* GuileHero: Prince Matthew, [[TheDitz oddly enough]], who comes up with a surprisingly clever plan to escape by "teaching" Juan (one of the bandits) how to be more like a prince in an effort to distract him long enough to grab the keys to his cage. Of course, Prince Matthew accidentally punches the cage door open anyway when he fails to grab the keys, but still.
* ICallItVera: Discussed and parodied. Sheriff Thompson tells Edward that he can't fire off his gun without giving it a name first and then admonishes him for giving it a man's name ("Brian"). Edward asks Sheriff Thompson what he calls his, and he responds by saying he calls it [[ADogNamedDog "Gun"]].
* MrFanservice: Prince Matthew, who is depicted in a photograph posing [[IntimateOpenShirt with his shirt open]] and winking with a rose in his teeth. He also poses provocatively in an attempt to convince the bandits to set him free [[NotDistractedByTheSexy (to no avail)]].
* NoodleIncident: Apparently, Sheriff Thompson wanted (and possibly ''tried'') to nail down all the nails in Spitbucket to keep them from being stolen. Everyone, somewhat understandably, called him crazy for it, but he feels like he's been vindicated due to the fact that the nails end up getting stolen later.
* OutOfFocus: Todd, for the same reason as Tori (Tord leaving the show too early).
* PosthumousCharacter: Most likely, seeing as all of them lived a hundred years before the four main characters were even born.
* PowerUpFood: Cola becomes this for Edward when he drinks it for the first time.
* TheSheriff: Sheriff Thompson, obviously.
* SmallRoleBigImpact: Todd was the one who introduced Cola to Edward, with his love for the drink being shared through generations.
* WideEyedIdealist: Edward. Lampshaded when he points out that crime is a ''lot'' more brutal in the States than in England.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: Although Edward, Thompson, and Matthew are said to be moving to England in the end of the story, it's not shown if Todd went with them, seeing as his descendant Tord lives there.

[[folder:Matt Hargreaves]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/matt_hargreaves.jpg]]

Yes, the real life person that Matt is based on and voiced by is also a character. It's just as confusing as it sounds.
----
* AuthorAvatar: A more direct one of Matt Hargreaves whereas Matt has taken on a life of his own.
* ButtMonkey: He gets no respect, not even from Matt, who fires him on account of not liking "[him], or [his] voice, or [his] ugly, ugly face."
* OnlySaneMan: He's the only one to point out how ridiculous the casting choices are, including firing him when he's voicing Matt. It makes sense considering this is based on Matt in real life.
