!!The Protagonist
[[quoteright:233:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/protag_6842.png]]

An OrdinaryHighSchoolStudent living in Japan. Had a close encounter with the Dragon while she rampaged through the city, and has been followed by her ever since. Lives with his mom, who openly lusts for him.

----

Tropes associated with the protagonist:

* AManIsAlwaysEager: Averted the first few times (especially the very first), but it's never long before he gets into it.
* BlackKnight: [[spoiler:The Dragon Slayer armor chooses him to become its next wearer.]]
* CallingYourOrgasms: It's an eroge, what did you expect other than a compulsive need to inform her that he's cumming?
* ClusterFBomb: If the English patch is to be believed.
* DarkIsNotEvil: The white hair, purple eyes, and black clothes are just for show. [[spoiler:He is a much straighter example than the unmanned Dragon Slayer.]]
* DidYouJustRomanceCthulhu: Invoked. He is perfectly aware of how ironic it is that he is dating and sleeping with an EldritchAbomination that leveled half of his city and nearly killed him multiples times.
* EmpathicWeapon: [[spoiler:Inherits the Dragon Slayer's armor and weapon, but it starts to affect his mind and try to fold him into the narrative.]]
* InterspeciesRomance: With a '''[[DidYouJustRomanceCthulhu dragon]]'''.
* {{Jerkass}}: If [[LittleMissSnarker the Dragon]] wasn't just as good at being one as he is, he'd be seen as straight-up verbally abusive towards her.
* LegacyCharacter: [[spoiler:The Dragon Slayer makes him into the next Dragon Slayer.]]
* NoGuyWantsToBeChased: Often complains about the Dragon's aggressive pursuit of him. And then there's [[ParentalIncest his mother...]]
* NoNameGiven: We never learn his name throughout the entire story.
* OnlySaneMan: He is the '''only normal person in the cast'''. His [[ParentalIncest mother]] lusts for him, his classmates are stereotypical to the point of being insane, the [[LittleMissSnarker dragon]] is a dragon who thinks differently from normal humans and indicate she'd like to eat him or sleep with him and sees little difference between the two options, and the soldiers join them at breakfast in their {{Powered Armor}} for some reason.
* ScrewDestiny: [[spoiler: In the [[GoodEnding Unfaithful End]]. He decides that killing the Dragon because of some arbitrary 'romance' is stupid, and flat-out refuses to do it.]]
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: [[spoiler:How pretty much every bad end happens.]]
* SexEqualsLove: In the [[spoiler:[[GoodEnding Unfaithful Ending]]]]:
-->"She was my first. That counts for something, right?"
* SirSwearsALot: Again, if the english patch is to be believed, he swears like a sailor.
* TookALevelInBadass: [[spoiler:And '''how!''']]
* {{Tsundere}}: Type One towards the Dragon.

!!The Dragon
[[quoteright:211:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dragon_dra_koi_240_180893_6352.jpg]]

A white '[[OurDragonsAreDifferent Ether Dragon]]' who razed the city of Tokyo to the ground, but reverted to the form of a human girl in order to hide from a Dragon Slayer. Fell madly in love with the Protagonist after he struck her [[BizarreAlienBiology Reverse Scale]] after she tried to [[ImAHumanitarian eat the protagonist.]]

----

Tropes associated the Dragon:

* AlienBlood: Her blood is gold. And has a [[BloodyMurder corrosive quality]] that can cause chemical burns on human flesh.
* AxCrazy: She's no sadist, but her BlueAndOrangeMorality makes her incapable of caring about collateral damage when using her dragon breath for everything from protecting the Protagonist to chasing him through the school.
* BizarreAlienBiology: A 'Reverse Scale' located in her throat that acts as a weak point. Being struck there forces her to change into her humanoid form, or if attacked there by the Dragon Slayer, will kill her. Apparently, it can also be used for FantasticArousal.
* BlackComedyRape: Her first sexual encounter with the protagonist is like this, with her asking why he doesn't stop her if he doesn't want it.
* BlueAndOrangeMorality: Everything from her inability to care about collateral damage to her... Interesting views on love and romance.
* BuxomBeautyStandard: {{Discussed|Trope}}. Openly questions why human males like 'useless bags of fat' during sex with the Protagonist.
* CuteLittleFangs: Goes with her HellishPupils to remind us of the fact that she's not human.
* DeathSeeker: [[spoiler:She believes her relationship with the Protagonist, whom she refers to as 'the hero,' isn't complete until he does the heroic thing and slays the dragon, I.E. killing her. She finally drops this entirely during the [[GoodEnding Unfaithful Ending.]]]]
* DraconicAbomination: Her dragon form is more of an eldritch horror than a regular dragon, and is only vulnerable to fantasy weapons. It looks more like a [[http://i39.tinypic.com/345eh7d.jpg mecha version]] of a dragon, plus it can shapeshift.
* EveryoneCallsHimBarkeep: She doesn't have a name, and the protagonist just calls her 'that dragon.'
* GlowingEyesOfDoom: Right before using her dragon breath.
* HellishPupils: Reptilian eyes, naturally.
* ImAHumanitarian: Apparently, being in her human form doesn't change her preferred diet. And of course, she makes sure to remind the protagonist about this during the oral sex scenes.
* InterplayOfSexAndViolence: If her dialogue during the FinalBattle with [[spoiler:the Protagonist]] is to be believed.
* KarmaHoudini: [[spoiler:In the GoodEnding, she and the protagonist have their HappilyEverAfter despite her leveling half of Tokyo and hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people.]]
* LittleMissSnarker: Counters ''every single insult'' from the Protagonist with a truly glorious comeback.
* LoveRedeems: In the [[GoodEnding Unfaithful Ending.]]
* LovableSexManiac: And she has NO problem talking about what she and the protagonist do while in public.
* NighInvulnerable: Because fantasy can only be killed with more fantasy, conventional weapons like guns are a complete NoSell when it comes to her.
* OurDragonsAreDifferent: Where to begin? Her EldritchAbomination appearance as a dragon? The fact that she can turn into a sexy schoolgirl and is in an InterspeciesRomance with a human? The fact that modern weaponry doesn't even scratch her?
* PersonOfMassDestruction / [[OneManArmy One Girl Army]]: Even after her transformation into a humanoid form, she can still cause catastrophic damage to an entire city just while chasing the protagonist around. Not to mention she tossed around PowerArmor wearing JSDF {{mooks}} like rag dolls.
* PreMortemOneLiner: In her humanoid form, her RoarBeforeBeating is her [[SayingSoundEffectsOutLoud literally]] ''[[SayingSoundEffectsOutLoud saying]]'' [[SayingSoundEffectsOutLoud the word "roar".]] This is usually followed by [[WaveMotionGun dragon breath]] and a '''lot''' of StuffBlowingUp.
* PunyHumans: Being pelted with machine gun fire and missiles gets little more than an annoyed eye roll from her.
* RoarBeforeBeating: When she's in her dragon form and she starts roaring, '''''run'''''.
* SlasherSmile: An 'aggressive, reptilian grin' that unsettles the Protagonist. Even in her human form, she has this expression right before [[StuffBlowingUp stuff blows up.]]
* RedemptionDemotion: [[spoiler:Possibly, in the above. The Protagonist says that she's the hero's true reward: a princess, instead of the dragon he has to slay. However, considering she still has her CuteLittleFangs and HellishPupils, it's possible that she didn't actually [[BecomeARealBoy Become A Real Girl]], and that he really just said that as a way of stating once and for all that he loves her and refuses to kill her, and no dragon or suit of armor will tell him otherwise.]]
* StalkerWithACrush: To the protagonist. She is willing to literally destroy an entire building so he can't hide from her. She's seriously can't get much worse without getting into {{yandere}} territory.
* TheTease: She really likes to draw sex out with the protagonist by teasing him. In public, she's not shy at all about what she and the protagonist do, and talks about it in graphic detail even with others present to hear.
* {{Troll}}: From constantly teasing the Protagonist and openly discussing their sex life in front of every single one of his friends to reminding the Protagonist’s mother that she’s sleeping with his son ''every chance she gets'' while referring to her as ‘mom’ or her ‘mother-in-law,’ the Dragon repeatedly demonstrates that the only she thing she enjoys more than wanton destruction and sex is pissing off everyone around her.
* WhatIsThisThingYouCallLove: She won't shut up about 'romance.' [[spoiler:Dragons view romance in the old definition of the term, like an epic or story. She believes her 'romance' isn't complete with the protagonist until he [[DeathSeeker kills her]], but she adopts the more modern definition after the Protagonist convinces her how stupid that is in the GoodEnding.]]
* WaveMotionGun: Her BreathWeapon resembles this more than fire.
* WoobieDestroyerOfWorlds: [[spoiler:When asked why she kept trying to kill the Protagonist if she loves him, she responds by saying that is the only way dragons feel able to express themselves to humans. She can't separate the idea of loving someone from hurting or even eating them, while still being normal enough for it to hurt her.]]
* YouSexyBeast: From city-destroying monster to sexy schoolgirl.

!!The General
[[quoteright:297:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/protags_mom_1874.png]]

The Protagonist's mother. She looks like a little kid, but she's OlderThanSheLooks. She's also a general in the JSDF, and the leader of the anti-fantasy division. She openly [[ParentalIncest lusts after her son]], and is '''incredibly''' jealous of the Dragon.

----

Tropes associated with the General:
* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking: Subverted. She has accessed to PowerArmor-wearing {{mooks}}, jets, missiles, and the nuclear arsenal... but those are all completely useless against dragons.
* BerserkButton: The Dragon calling her 'mom' or referring to her as an 'in-law.'
* FourStarBadass: Or at least, she would be, if the Dragon and the Dragon Slayer didn't routinely make mincemeat out of the JSDF.
* GreenEyedMonster: She's extremely jealous of the Dragon sleeping with her son.
* TheGunslinger: She's more than willing to shoot the Dragon herself.
* {{Jerkass}}: Holy crap, is she ever.
* NoNameGiven: If she has a name, we never learn it.
* OlderThanSheLooks: Admit it, you thought she was a loli.
* ParentalIncest: Completely and utterly shameless about her lust for her son.
* ParentsWalkInAtTheWorstTime: Hoo, boy... the screen fades to black when she does, but it's safe to assume she was ''not'' happy to find her son sleeping with the Dragon under her own roof.
* SirSwearsALot: Probably where the Protagonist got it from.
* SmokingIsGlamorous: Never seen without a cigarette in her mouth.
* {{Yandere}}: Absolutely '''despises''' the Dragon for having stolen her son's virginity (which she wanted for herself), and occasionally will shoot her when she makes her angry, despite bullets [[NoSell having no affect on her]]. It probably doesn't help that the Dragon reminds her of her and the Protagonist's relationship every chance she gets.

!!The Dragon Slayer
[[quoteright:271:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/the_dragon_slayer_drakoi_2803.png]]

An emotionless [[BlackKnight knight in black armor]] sent to kill the Dragon. Because he is also considered fantasy, conventional weapons don't work on him, either. [[spoiler:It's actually not a knight at all, but a knight's armor sent to find the next 'hero' to slay the Dragon; this hero being the Protagonist.]]

----

* ArmorOfInvincibility: Bullets are totally useless against it, and it can take quite a lot of damage from the Dragon.
** BadassCape: No badass armor is complete without one.
** CoolHelmet: Just look at it! Complete with GlowingEyesOfDoom.
** AnimatedArmor: [[spoiler:What he turns out to be.]]
* BlackKnight: A textbook example. [[spoiler: [[AnimatedArmor Sort of.]]]]
* BlueAndOrangeMorality: Let's just say he's very, ''very'' dedicated to his goal, to the point where collateral damage doesn't matter to him.
* TheCallKnowsWhereYouLive: [[spoiler:He's out to kill the Dragon... and if you stop him, you get to do it in his place. [[TakeAThirdOption Or don't.]]]]
* CaptainErsatz: He looks a lot like [[Characters/BerserkGuts Guts]] with his Berserker Armor activated. [[spoiler:But due to the reveal he is more of a Captain Ersatz of the Berserker Armor itself.]]
* DarkIsNotEvil: In a GoodIsNotNice way.
* TheDeterminator: It will stop at nothing to kill the Dragon, showing zero regard for collateral damage and cutting down anyone and anything it deems to be a hindrance to its mission.
* TheDreaded: To dragons. [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin Guess why?]]
* EmpathicWeapon: [[spoiler:There's nobody inside the armor. But whoever is deemed worthy of wearing it is patched in to the HiveMind, which alerts its wearer of incoming damage, and constantly reminds them of their goal... much to the Protagonist's annoyance.]]
* GoodIsNotNice: Hell no it's not. He gives zero shits about collateral damage, and anyone who gets in his way is immediately deemed a hostile target and is [[CurbStompBattle treated accordingly]].
* HealingFactor: He recovers from damage just as quickly as the dragon does. [[spoiler:Later subverted; it's not that he was healing, it's that the armor was auto-repairing. He has no flesh to heal.]]
* HiveMind: [[spoiler:His 'personality' is made up of a consensus opinion from every previous hero who used his armor and sword.]]
* KnightOfCerebus: His appearances cause an OhCrap from both the Dragon ''and'' the Protagonist.
* LaserBlade: The Protagonist describes his sword as a [[Franchise/StarWars lightsaber]].
* PassingTheTorch: [[spoiler:To the Protagonist. Part of his goal, along with killing the Dragon, is to find an actual hero worthy of using his gear. The protagonist being willing to [[TakingTheBullet Take the Bullet]] qualified as a heroic deed to him.]]
* PersonOfMassDestruction: Causes just as much damage to the city as the Dragon herself does.
* RedBaron: Isn't known by any other name.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: He's the closest thing this visual novel has to an antagonist.
* TheUnfettered: God help you if he thinks you're a hindrance to his mission.
* WellIntentionedExtremist: Played with. Killing a Dragon rampaging through a town would probably be a good thing in any other case... if that dragon wasn't your girlfriend. His flagrant disregard for collateral damage doesn't help his case.
* WholeCostumeReference: As mention on Captain Ersatz his Armor has some resemblance to Guts's Berserker Armor. [[spoiler:Although he is actually a walking suit of armor.]]
