Character sheet for WesternAnimation/Cyberchase. Currently under construction and in need of a better organization scheme.

!!Tropes applying to the entire Cybersquad
* BadassBookworm: This applies to the whole group, but Inez in particular exhibits this.
* BadassNormal: All three kids, none of whom have any special abilities outside of their intelligence.
* ColorCodedCharacters: Jackie favors yellow, Inez favors pink or purples, and Matt favors blue or green and our 'boid' friend usually pale purples, darker purples and red.
** The humans' colors are highlighted in "The Hacker's Challenge" where the teams are named based on the color associated with the human leading, with Jackie's team (her, Fluff the Penguin and Slider) as Yellow Team, Inez (her, Creech and Jules) as Purple Team and Matt's team (him, Digit and TW Parallini) as Green Team.
* FreudianTrio
** TheKirk: Matt
** TheMcCoy: Jackie
** TheSpock: Inez
* MyFriendsAndZoidberg: Three Earth kids...and Digit.
* ThePowerOfFriendship
* PowerTrio
* PuttingOnMyThinkingCap: Jackie paces, Matt plays with his yo-yo and Inez does headstands. Lampshaded whenever Digit mimics Jackie's pacing.
* TheSmartGuy: Inez.
* TrueCompanions
* SummonEverymanHero
* TokenTrio: Inez is Hispanic with a light tan skin color, and Jackie is black. Matt is the only 'typically' white person in the cast, with the rest of the characters being some kind of robot or cyborg.
* TwoGirlsAndAGuy: And, surprisingly, little drama.

An 11-year-old Farm boy sucked into Cyberspace and recruited to help Motherboard. Carries a very handy red backpack with him at all times, is reasonably athletic, and loves solving mysteries. Also loves Franchise/StarWars, the color green, Series/Redwall, and Creator/WillSmith.
* BagOfHolding: He has a useful red backpack that he takes with him everywhere. Seriously, he never takes that thing off!
* BerserkButton: Slider showing him up. Anytime Inez calls him 'Matthew'.
* Determinator
* FarmBoy
* FieryRedhead: While admittedly Matt doesn't really have much of a temper (unless you're Inez), he is slightly more hot-headed than either of the girls.
* FriendlyEnemy: To Slider
* FriendToAllLivingThings: According to the website, he owns a bearded dragon, an armadillo, two African water frogs, and a dog named Obi Wan Kadoggie, although he doesn't always fit the "nice" part of the description.
* GeniusDitz: While admittedly Matt isn't your traditional ditz, he is a bit less level-headed than his teammates and more likely to make decisions without thinking all the way through. Despite these traits, there is one area where Matt really shines: Myth/GreekMythology. In fact, whenever that's involved, Inez and Jackie just shut up and watch him lecture.
* HiddenDepths: Hates Valentine's Day, but made a card for Jackie and Inez all the same. It doubles as a CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming.
* IdiotHero: While he's still very bright, Matt has a tendency to make rash decisions and mess around with stuff that might have been in the group's best interest to avoid. One episode showcases this tendency perfectly, with him making a potentially life-threatening jump across a steam-obscured pit without knowing just how large the pit actually is...and then trying to jump it again after he falls short and has to be rescued by Digit.
* HonorBeforeReason
* RedHeadedHero
* RedOniBlueOni: The red to both girls' blue, except when Jackie is freaking out in which case he's the blue to her red.
* TokenWhite: Take a good look kiddies. This is one of the few times you'll ever see a white male character in one of the lead roles on Creator/PBS.
* WithFriendsLikeThese: To Slider and Inez.
** He and Slider eventually work out their differences and become good friends. Granted, it took most of the episode but still.

Jackie is an 11-year-old girl who enjoys hanging out with her friends, and is possibly the hardest Earthlie to pin down in terms of character traits. She can be a little over-the-top with her emotions. She likes yellow, Music/DestinysChild, WesternAnimation/Shrek, tofu burgers, and Walk Two Moons by Sharon IThoughtItMeant Creech.
* BlackAndNerdy
* BrainyBrunette
* CatchPhrase: "Make room! I gotta pace."
** "Am I having a moment, or...?"
** "EWW! EWW! Double EWW!!"
* ComicalOverreacting: Jackie is typically the first one to react to a problem, and the one to make the biggest deal out of it. Though she doesn't make mountains out of molehills most of the time, she's very dramatic, and her reactions are often played for laughs, like the example below.
* ComicRelief: Unlike Matt and Inez, who are mostly straight characters, Jackie usually tends to lean towards this, and can almost be as silly as Hacker and his flunkies depending on the episode. This was especially prominent in the show's pilot, in lieu of Digit, who didn't exist at the time.
* CloudCuckoolander: At times. In the pilot, very yes.
* EarlyInstallmentWeirdness: In the 1999 pilot, Jackie was considerably nuttier, and not as insightful.
* ExposedToTheElements: Her skirt; she rarely wears pants or tights. In an early episode taking place in an arctic environment, she wore a winter coat and her... typical blue skirt.
* TheLancer
* LargeHam: She's easily the most vocal member of the group.
-->Jackie: Cyberspace is doomed, doomed I tell you, DOOOOO-HOO-HOO-HOO-HOO-HOO-HOO-OOMED!
-->Matt: And the award for the best dramatic outburst of the day goes to...Jackie!
* LeaderWannabe: She was like this in the show's pilot, as part of her more pronounced somewhat incompetent comic relief role before Digit was added to the cast.
* MagicSkirt: Eight seasons, and nothing, but it IS a kids' show
* RedOniBlueOni: The red to Inez's blue and generally the blue to Matt's red though when she's spazzing, she's the red to both their blues.
* SassyBlackWoman: She has shades of this, but it's less prominent than some of her funnier personality traits.
* ThinkingOutLoud: She tends to do this on occasion.
* TwoferTokenMinority: African-American and female.
* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: She hates bugs.

9-year-old girl who loves learning and books. Has a huge vocabulary and is always asking questions about the world around her. Likes purple, popcorn, Laura Ingalls Wilder, and Marc Anthony.
* BerserkButton: Just don't call her Nezzie (this goes double for Matt) and don't be a bad sport.
* BrainyBrunette
* CatchPhrase: "This is not good. This is not good at all!"
** Also has "My sentiments exactly" when someone borrows her usual catchphrase
* ChildProdigy
* Geek: In general.
* ExposedToTheElements: Wears shorts, even to cybersites filled with snow.
* FriendlyRival: With Creech.
* KindheartedCatLover: She owns a cat named Gatito.
* LittleMissSnarker: She has her moments.
* Meganekko
* TheNapoleon: Do not call her short. Funnily enough she has no problem calling herself short.
* RedOniBlueOni: The blue to Jackie's red. Also the blue to Matt's red.
* SesquipedalianLoquaciousness
* ShorterMeansSmarter
* TheSmartGuy
* Tsundere: A more assertive form of type B.
* TwoferTokenMinority: Hispanic and female.
* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: She is not a fan of heights.
** She's also not too fond of the trope namer, at one point yelling "I HATE SNAKES!" at the top of her lungs.
** By the events of the movie, she's no longer afraid of heights (no word on her fear of snakes) but has replaced it with a fear of bats; fortunately it's not bad enough that she can't actually help though it does shake her up badly.

Your friendly neighborhood "cyboid" and unofficial TeamPet. He used to work for Hacker, but flew the coop upon realizing that Hacker wasn't exactly a great guy. A fan of the DixieChicks and "Jonathan Livingston Seagull" by Richard Bach.
* AcrophobicBird
* Adorkable
* BagOfHolding: In his little compartment, we can find anything from Widget to measuring tools.
* ChekhovsSkill: Digit can cook really well.
* TheChewToy:
* CowardlyLion: In general, Digit is freaked out about everything, but always rushes in.
* DeadpanSnarker
* DramaPreservingHandicap: Occasionally, his propeller will be disabled to make it more difficult for his team to get around certain obstacles. In Widget's case, he is not yet able to fly.
* FakeDefector: Has pretended to go back to Hacker several times.
* HiddenDepths: Didge can speak Penguin.
* TheHeart
* IronicFear: He does not like heights, despite being a boid.
* KidAppealCharacter
* TheLancer: To Matt, whenever the Cybersquad splits up.
* MookFaceTurn: He used to work for Hacker...but since he hated working for him he eventually left his side.
* TheNicknamer: Has created nicknames for various characters with the most common recipient being Matt with "Mattie" (the more common) and "Mattser".
* SupremeChef: To the point that he had a successful cook-book published.
* TeamPet: Widget
* TurnedAgainstTheirMasters: He was built by Hacker, but he left due to his dislike of working with him.

!!THE Hacker
Pompous, dastardly, and power-hungry—the BigBad of the series, until his in-series VillainDecay. At the moment, he is currently attempting to rescue his image. Like the color puce and Film/WhoFramedRogerRabbit. Showing HiddenDepths, his favorite book is Literature/ThePrince by Machiavelli.
* BadBoss: He has a tendency to mistreat Buzz and Delete, particularly when he found out that one of them (presumably Delete) voted for Motherboard during an election.
* BaldOfEvil: Dr. Marbles never gave him hair, hence the reason why he wears a wig.
* BigBad: At least at first.
* ButtMonkey: In later episodes.
* Catchphrase:
** "That's THE Hacker to you!"
** Calls Buzz and Delete "Duncebuckets"
* FaceHeelTurn: Pre-series.
* FashionVictimVillain: invoked During one episode, he tried to get Wicked to help him pick outfits . It didn't go well.
* ElvisImpersonator: When he attempted to conquer Happily Ever After.
* Foil: To Dr. Marbles. While Dr. Marbles has dedicated his life to helping Cyberchase, specifically Motherboard, he has dedicated his life to conquer it and to destroy Motherboard.
* InsistentTerminology: "That's THE Hacker to you!"
* LanternJawOfJustice: ...Except he's evil.
%%* LargeHam:
* NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast: His name his (The) Hacker, and if that isn't enough he lives in a computer world.
* NoIndoorVoice
* SmugSnake: He has a big ego.
* SpellMyNameWithAThe: The page quote.
* SurroundedByIdiots: He feels this way regarding Buzz and Delete, though Buzz is rather intelligent.
* TerribleTrio: With Buzz and Delete.
* TurnedAgainstTheirMasters: Built by Dr. Marbles.
* UnholyMatrimony: With Wicked.
* VillainDecay: Hangingd InUniverse.

One of Hacker's henchmen and the smarter of the two. Likes blue-green, donuts, and Film/HomeAlone. Aspires to open a donut shop one day, but every attempt has been foiled so far.

Buzz's first voice actor, Len Carlson, died in 2006. He was replaced by Phil Williams. The episode "Ecohaven: CSE" is dedicated to Mr. Carlson.
* BlueOni: To Delete's red.
* TheChewToy: He becomes this in a few episodes.
* CuteLittleFangs
* FatAndSkinny: The fat to Delete's skinny.
* Foil: To Delete. Unlike Delete, Buzz acts like an adult and is usually the one who does the thinking. However, he is not as smart as his boss is.
* HarmlessVillain: Not as harmless as Delete, but he tends to be rather comical.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: With Delete, despite having a completely different personality.
* ShorterMeansSmarter: Smarter than Delete at any rate.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Donuts.

Another one of Hacker's henchmen and the more child-like of the two. His favorite colors are both rust and salmon. Likes Film/TheWizardOfOz and Disney/ChickenLittle.

Although the website does not mention it, he really likes bunnies.
* AndCallHimGeorge: Delete wants a bunny so he can "love him, and keep him, and call him George."
* ButtMonkey: To Hacker's schemes.
* TheChewToy: HE's Been mangled, and crushed, and electrocuted, and blah blah blah blah blah!
* CuteLittleFangs
* TheDitz: Part of what makes him Buzz's Foil
* FatAndSkinny: He is the skinny to Buzz's fat.
* HarmlessVillain: Even more harmless than his partner.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: With Buzz, despite their personality differences.
* LizardFolk: Hence the way his mouth looks like, he defitinitely resembles a crocodile. And before you can ask, yes, he has 2 teeth sticking out as well.
* NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast: Subverted. His name's Delete, he's villainous and he lives in a computer world... but he's a HarmlessVillain who doesn't even try to be evil, and when he does, he fails miserably.
* RedOni: To Buzz's blue.
* VillainsOutShopping: The Cybersquad has accused him of being up to no good even when he was just looking for Buzz.

Witch hailing from the cybersite of Happily Ever After. She's a bit obsessed with Hacker, to the point where she even faked being a princess to get to marry him.

In the ending credits, she took Dr. Marbles' place a few seasons in.
* AffablyEvil: She's actually treated the Cybersquad decently on occasions. In the later seasons, she's more interested in trying to get with Hacker than taking over Cyberspace.
* ClingyJealousGirl
* ConspicuousConsumption: After she helps , she immediately takes money and starts spending it willy-nilly, leading to an episode where the Cybersquad learns the benefits of managing your money efficiently and not wasting it on things you don't need.
* EvilRedhead
* FieryRedhead
* FluffyFashionFeathers: When she was pretending to be the Princess of Pompadouria, she picked out this for her wedding dress.
* HotWitch: She's not ugly like a traditional witch. She's good-looking enough for Hacker to be attracted to her, and in her first episode, she even got a marriage proposal from the King of Happily Ever After. (Her answer: No.)
* UnholyMatrimony: With Hacker.

New villain introduced towards the very end of season 8. He was a huge fan of The Hacker back in the day, and aspired to be just like him.
* AscendedFanboy: Became a villain just to impress Hacker Though initially he is impressed, he realizes that he underestimated Inez which leads to his downfall.
* TheyLookJustLikeEveryoneElse: He actually looks fairly normal and acts nicely in his introduction. He's actually a rather dangerous villain.

The benevolent ruler of Cyberspace. Unfortunately, she's also pretty useless thanks to Hacker's virus. Her role in the series is mostly to give the kids their next assignment.
* ArtShift: Later seasons had her use 3D models instead of 2D.
* BigGood: In contrast to Hacker.
* BadassBookworm
%%* TheBigGuy
%%* TheChick
%%* TheMentor
* ThePollyanna: Not quite as extreme though.
* StatusQuoIsGod: spoiler:Every time the kids find the Encryptor Chip, it gets destroyed or sent away. In "The Snelfu Snafu", the kids are forced to destroy the slot for the chip, meaning she'll never fully recover from the virus.
* TheStoic: She typically lacks emotion.
%%* TeamMom

Motherboard's tireless mechanic and creater of Hacker. Likes blue and Tron. His favorite novel is Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance… just take a guess at his favorite hobby.

%%* Geek
%%* Otaku: On mechanics.
* PutOnABus: He doesn't appear nearly as often as Motherboard does, despite being her mechanic.

A friend of the Cybersquad. His dad was once a friend and coworker of Hacker's, but went into hiding. In one of the Story Arcs, the Cybersquad helps him find his dad. He occasionally helps out the Earthlies and is popular with the fans.
* BadassNormal: Though he's a skilled skateboarder, smart and handy with tools, Slider doesn't really have any superpowers and doesn't seem as strong as other Cyberspace citizens seen.
* TheCharmer
* ChickMagnet: Much to Matt's chagrin.
* FriendlyEnemy: To Matt. It's more from Matt's end because Inez likes Slider a lot and Matt (supposedly) likes Inez (not that he'll admit it).
* IfItsYouItsOkay: The only person who will never get called out for calling Inez "Nezzie".
* InnocentProdigy
* SixthRanger
* TookALevelInKindness: He's somewhat less friendly in his first episode than he is in subsequent appearances, fully intending to pull a NotMyProblem until it was confirmed that Radopolis, his home, was under threat.
* TotallyRadical: He comes from Radopolis. Slider himself is less TotallyRadical than most of the other citizens of Radopolis that we've seen.
* WithFriendsLikeThese: Mostly to Matt.

!!Sam Vander Rom
Journalist seen around Cyberspace reporting on various doings. Quite the DeadpanSnarker.

The current ruler of the Cybersite Tikiville.
* BareYourMidriff
* AChildShallLeadThem: Appears to be the same age range as the Cybersquad (Matt and Jackie are 11 while Inez is 9) and was the favorite to win the year before we meet her.
* DaddysGirl: Is obviously close to her father in the Father's Day episode.
* FriendlyRival: With Inez.
* SesquipedalianLoquaciousness: It's how she and Inez became friends.
* SixthRanger

Penguin who became one of the TrueCompanions of the Cybersquad in the later seasons.
* TheAce: Of Penguia.
* EverythingsBetterWithPenguins
* HumbleHero: Despite being TheAce, he tends to downplay his talents.
* Well Done, Son-and-Nephew Guy: Really wants to make his father and Aunt Rusty proud.

!!Sherry Spotter
The Cybersquad's main contact at Frogsnorts.
* Expy: Of HarryPotter.
* FriendlyEnemy: Mostly to Inez because Matt seems to have a mild crush on Sherry and Inez (supposedly) likes Matt (not that she'll admit it). This is Downplayed however in that Inez focuses more on teasing Matt than disliking Sherry.
* IfItsYouItsOkay: The only person who can call Matt "Matthew".
* IneptMage: A Downplayed example as she's pretty good at casting but has done things like mess up an important magical task in her intro episode and forget her wand.
* Well Done Daughter Girl: She really wants to live up to her mother's legacy and suffers confidence issues when it looks like she'll fail to.

!!Harry Wilson
* BigNo: Harry screams it in the "For Real" segment for [=S05E03=] "Designing Mr. Perfect", when the paint can falls off his wagon when Harry drives the wagon full of yellow paint cans up the stairs.
* ButtMonkey: At first, but it tones down later.
* WhyDoYouKeepChangingJobs: He's gone through a lot of jobs and rarely seems to be able to hold one down for more than one episode.

* TheDitz: Occasionally.
