[[folder:Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck]]
!!'''Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck
[[quoteright:270:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nel001_3572.png]]
[[quoteright:270:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nel002_5966.png]]

Initially introduced as a [[CuteMonsterGirl child-like Arrancar girl]] with her two companions and pet Hollow worm, Nel encountered Ichigo, Ishida and Sado back at the Hueco Mundo desert. After giving them a tutorial on how to differentiate between Espada (ranked by strength) and Numeros (ranked by age), she later agrees to lead them into Las Noches, the headquarters of Aizen and his Espada. While still very much comic relief, Nel accompanied Ichigo during his fights with Dordoni Socaccio, Ulquiorra Cifer and Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez, before her status as a former Espada was revealed by Nnoitra Gilga, her IgnoredEnemy during their time as Espadas. Even in her true form, she is childlike, gentle and innocent. She abhors fighting, but has a great deal of martial skill.

Her zanpakuto is known as ''Gamuza''. It transforms her into a centaur wielding a lance.
-----
* ActionGirl: One of the strongest female characters, as seen when she nearly defeats Nnoitra.
* AdaptationDyeJob: The manga showed her with green hair, while the anime has her with bluish-green hair.
* AnimalMotif: She is goat-antelope (and true antelope) themed. Her mask is sheep horns (a goat-antelope), she is a BigEater as per goat stereotypes. Her resurreccion is called Gamuza (Spanish for "chamois", another goat-antelope, but the kanji mean "antelope knight"). Her resurreccion form is a centaur-like gemsbok.
* {{Archenemy}}: To Nnoitra, as he ripped off Pesche and Dondochakka's Hollow masks, threw her out of Las Noches and beat Ichigo down. Adding to the fact she took it upon herself to be around Nnoitra as an acting babysitter. Thus, she made herself his #1 enemy and target.
* AttackHello: Nel loves to headbutt Ichigo in the stomach. Sometimes, for no reason, she'll increase her speed mid-flight and give him a super-sonic headbutt.
* {{Badass}}: She's the former third Espada and was able to match Nnoitra until her ability to sustain her adult form ran out.
** BadassAdorable: Seeing her take Nnoitra to town for a short while doesn't make her any less huggable. Though...''she's'' [[TheGlomp usually the one doing the hugging.]]
** BadassAndChildDuo: The Child to Ichigo, until she turns back to her adult form.
* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: The reason why Nel follows Ichigo, protects him from Dordoni, shows concern over his injuries and, ultimately, transforms back into her unbelievably hot [[OlderAlterEgo adult form]] to fight Nnoitra.
* BigEater: Well, as an adult, she ''stopped'' Nnoitra's Cero, inhaled it through her mouth and unleashed it right back at him. Kubo stated in the databook that she has a big appetite, and that Pesche and Dondochaka cooked for her.
* CatchAndReturn: Her "Cero Doble" technique lets her inhale energy attacks and send them back with double the power.
* ClingyJealousGirl: After Rukia appears in Hueco Mundo, Nel clings to Ichigo while giving Rukia a bona-fide DeathGlare. When Rukia asks why she's looking at her like that, Nel demands to know what her relationship with Ichigo is. The scene is anime-only filler and never occurs in the manga.
* ClothingDamage: As a result of her morphing into an adult, her garb tears apart to such an extent that it's a miracle her "clothes" even stayed on her.
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: From a hyper child, to a buxom battle-babe, she is ''not'' one you'd want to mess with.
* DangerouslyShortSkirt: The skirt and top were the only pieces of cloth left for her to wear upon morphing into an adult, so her fighting in a skirt gets a justification. The fact that it even ''stayed'' on her, though, is amazing in and of itself.
* DeclarationOfProtection: When she returns to her adult form, she declares her intent to protect Ichigo by crushing Nnoitra. It doesn't turn out as planned, but she comes pretty close.
* DoesNotLikeShoes: She is barefoot everywhere apart from the flashbacks. [[{{Badass}} Extra badassery points]] go to her for blocking the sharp side of Nnoitra's axe... thing, with her ''bare sole''!
* DualAgeModes: Nel looks like a little girl, but can revert to her adult form.
* EasyAmnesia: After getting hit in the head by Nnoitra and having her Hollow mask broken.
* FacialMarkings: She has this weird red line that stretches horizontally across her face, right below her eyes.
* FountainOfYouth: Due to Nnoitra attacking her from behind. Came with EasyAmnesia, as mentioned earlier.
* GenkiGirl: Even as an adult, Nelliel had her moments of hyperactivity, particularly when she mood-swung from calm and melancholic after blowing up Nnoitra, to ecstatic and girly before glomp-humping Ichigo.
* TheGlomp: To Ichigo, combined with AttackHello, to the point where she almost ''kills'' him. Notably, both the anime and the manga depict it as ''much'' more sexual than you'd expect. Her arms were wrapped over his neck, her chest was pressed against his torso and her legs were straddling his waist. The anime went so far as to have her ''humping him''.
* GoingCommando: She's wearing the rags she was originally thrown out of Las Noches in and nothing more.
* GreenEyedMonster: In the anime only, she gives Rukia a DeathGlare when it becomes clear that she's very close to Ichigo.
* JoustingLance: In resureccion mode, her zanpakuto blade transforms into a lance, which she throws with with a drill-like effect at Nnoitra, pinning him down.
* LateArrivalSpoiler: Her status as the former 3rd Espada, her past with Nnoitra, her Centaur-like released form, and her ''incredibly hot'' adult form was revealed to dub-watchers two ''years'' after sub-watchers saw it air in the anime.
* MartialPacifist: According to Pesche, Nelliel hated fighting, but when your IgnoredEnemy happens to be [[HeManWomanHater Nnoitra Gilga]], it's hard for her to avoid it as much as she'd like.
* MoodSwinger: PlayedForLaughs, when she suddenly glomped Ichigo after using Cero Doble on Nnoitra.
* MsFanservice: When she morphs into her adult form, due to the general lack of clothing revealing her rather voluptuous figure.
* NoSenseOfPersonalSpace: Nel is the first entry on the page.
* NotWorthKilling: Whenever she fought Nnoitra in the backstory, because she felt he wasn't a true warrior at the time.
* OurCentaursAreDifferent: Nel's released animal form is a gemsbok, though it's frequently mistaken for a horse's body because of the tail and, in the anime, her hooves. Plus the fact that centaurs are generally half horses and not half antelopes.
* PowerOfFriendship: Nel uses this and cheers on Ichigo in many fights when she's not getting in the way. She also snaps Orihime out of her despair because of it during his fight with Grimmjow.
* ScarsAreForever[=/=]BeautyIsNeverTarnished: The scar between her eyes, thanks to Nnoitra.
* ShesAllGrownUp: Ichigo and Orihime's reaction when she first changed back to adult form, as well as that of the drooling fanboys.
* SleepModeSize: Thanks to the wound to her mask, her body couldn't hold her normal power anymore and she reverted into a very young child.
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Officially, it's Nelliel, but Neliel seems to be more commonly used. Considering the Spanish theme of Arrancar names, this should actually make the pronunciation of the double l in the middle more like a y or j depending on accent, which doesn't help.
* StatuesqueStunner: In her adult form, she's tall and extremely busty.
* TheStoic: During her Espada days, she was pretty reserved, only speaking down on Nnoitra, whom she considered weak.
* {{Stripperiffic}}: In her adult form, Nell's garbs turn into this. It's justified by virtue of her previously wearing a sack that can hardly cover her fully body anymore in adult form.
* TenderTears: Nel cries. A lot. Happy tears, sad tears, she's quite the crybaby who shows a lot of concern for her friends.
* TerritorialSmurfette: Rukia is the first female character she has on-screen interaction with. In the anime only, her first action is to act hostile toward her due to jealousy over Ichigo. In the manga, this scene never happens.
* ThirdPersonPerson: Only in her child form.
* VerbalTic: Nel has a lisp in her child form.
* VomitIndiscretionShot: Sort of... Nel can vomit up her saliva, which contains healing properties. This is shown on screen often, much to the disgust of both Ichigo and other Arrancars. It looks like saliva, but... yeah. At any rate, the action is shown quite a lot.
* WalkingSwimsuitScene: In one of the colored volume spreads.[[/folder]]

[[folder:Luppi Antenor]]
!!!'''Luppi Antenor'''
[[quoteright:270:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/luppi001_3420.png]]

Extremely short-lived 6th Espada that replaced Grimmjow when his arm was destroyed by Tousen. He is flamboyant and does not take insults well. His Zanpakuto is Trepadora. After Orihime resurrects his arm, Grimmjow kills Luppi to regain his status.

His zanpakuto is known as ''Trepadora'', and upon transformation it gives him multiple tentacles to attack his enemies with.
-----
* AssholeVictim: Really, considering his mock politeness, smug attitude and overly-flamboyant demeanor, it's no wonder many fans were glad to see Luppi die by Grimmjow's hands.
* CampStraight: Despite his flamboyance, he flirts with Rangiku at one point.
* CombatTentacles: Eight of them, and they're capable of protruding spikes, too.
* HandHidingSleeves: He hides his hands inside his slightly oversized sleeves half the time. It's a combination of "cute" and "creepy". Considering his androgyny, boastful attitude, and belligerent creepiness, it basically serves to make him less likeable.
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: By Grimmjow, once he gets his arm back.
* SissyVillain: Even more so than Szayel.
* SmallNameBigEgo: Thinks he's a worthy successor to Grimmjow's rank, but is completely unaware how powerful his predecessor was.
* SmugSnake: Enjoys insulting Grimmjow about his having lost his status as Espada, in addition to belittling his enemies, but gets defeated by them, and was killed by the same Espada he replaced.
* VillainousBreakdown: He pretty much loses it he sees Orihime's powers.
* TheWorfEffect: A very rare villainous version. His power level was established after his battle with Captain Hitsugaya's advance squad. However, as soon as Grimmjow's power and strength is restored, Grimmjow one-shots him to death giving the reader a clear demonstration of just how much more dangerous for the protagonists Grimmjow is compared to Luppi.[[/folder]]

[[folder:Dordoni Alessandro Del Socaccio]]
!!!'''Dordoni Alessandro Del Socaccio'''
[[quoteright:270:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dordonii001_94.png]]

103rd Arrancar and ex-Espada. He has a very goofy personality, but that changes when he decides to get his game face on.

His Zanpakuto is ''Giralda'', and it allows him to summon cyclones from his legs.
-----
* AccentAdaptation: In the anime, Dordoni was given a Spanish accent to go with the GratuitousSpanish he threw around in the original.
* BlowYouAway: When released he gets wind-based powers.
* DanceBattler: Moved like one before he started fighting seriously.
* HeroicSacrifice: Holds off the Exequias to allow Ichigo to escape
* LargeHam: Spends most of his hammy introduction talking, and even when fighting he's still going at it.
* NotSoHarmlessVillain: Ichigo doesn't take him seriously at first, but he reveals that he used to be an Espada, [[CurbStompBattle and goes to beat the shit of him]] for daring to hold back so much.
* ObfuscatingStupidity: Acts like a total moron, then he suddenly injures Ichigo, delfects his attack and scolds him for underestimating his opponent.
* OneWingedAngel: He's able to kick Ichigo's ass in his Shikai mode. It makes him a power-kick style Arrancar with the ability to summon large snake-bird things from his legs.
* VerbalTic: Tends to end most of his sentences addressed at Ichigo by calling him "Niño", which is Spanish for "boy".
* WouldHurtAChild: He decides to attack Nel in order to force Ichigo to draw on his full power.[[/folder]]

[[folder:Cirucci Sanderwicci]]
!!!'''Cirucci Sanderwicci'''
[[quoteright:270:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cirucci001_8032.png]]

105th Arrancar and ex-Espada. She's a rather rude and cocky sort who hates being interrupted. She fights Uryu Ishida in the lair of the Privaron Espada, and is finished off by Rudbornn for failing to defeat him. She also bares a very close physical resemblance to [[BlackButler Beast]].

Her zanpakutou, ''Golondrina'', transforms her into swallow-like form with an energy blade attached to her tail.
-----
* BatmanGambit: During her fight with Ishida, she made it seem as though Golondrina was limited to always attacking in a straight line when thrown, and when pulled back, prompting Uryu to fire his arrows in other directions as opposed to simply in front of her. It destroyed most of the pillars as a result... which was exactly what she wanted, because he created more openings for her whippings. She could weave it around more erratically, since he wouldn't have much else left to hide.
* ClippedWingAngel: Literally; she discards the arms, wings and feathers of her OneWingedAngel form to use her spiritual energy more efficiently, but she calls it the equivalent to severing a limb.
* DangerouslyShortSkirt: She fights in it throughout her battle with Ishida, even after releasing Golondrina. Pesche even lampshades it by trying to sneak a peak underneath.
* DarkActionGirl: As with most female arrancar, perhaps more so, since she's got ''attitude''.
* {{Dominatrix}}: Based off the concept, right down to the whip.
* DroppedABridgeOnHim: Killed off-screen by Szayel.
* ElegantGothicLolita: A pretty fair fighter with a ''really'' good fashion sense, apparently preferring the white-colored Gothic Lolita look.
* FacialMarkings: Purple tear drops on her cheeks.
* ModestyShorts: In the anime's Arrancar Encyclopedia segments she tells Gin she has armor under her skirt just in case people look up it while she's flying.
* MsFanservice: Comes with being a fetish magnet, but since she gets a bit embarrassed to reveal her body (in the anime), the only other Arrancar girl that's above her in this regard is Harribel.
* ShesGotLegs: Her outfit seems to be specifically designed for exposing her legs.
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Literally, since it used to be "Thunderwitch".
* StockingFiller: A very unconventional one, at that. You see those purple lines on her legs? Those are her stockings, thin as they are. Those white clips on her socks and circular bands are her garters, as they somehow connect the stockings to her legs.
* TheTease: Exhibits this behavior in two volume spreads. One where she takes off her boots and grins at the camera. The other when she wraps her whip around her legs and waist, again with the grin.
* VibroWeapon: The blades she attacks with in her released form.
* WhipItGood: Uses a whip, matching her dominatrix theme.[[/folder]]

[[folder:Gantenbainne Mosqueda]]
!!!'''Gantenbainne Mosqueda'''
[[quoteright:270:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/afroman001_5545.png]]

107th Arrancar and ex-Espada. His Zanpakuto is Dragra. He usually takes it easy unless his opponent does give a challenge which Chad does. He was last seen being healed by Isane.

His Zanpakutou, ''Dragra'', armors him up and gives him the ability to fire concentrated energy blasts.
-----
* AntiVillain: Has no qualms about fighting Sado, but he's honorable enough to warn Chad of an attack by Nnoitra.
* FunnyAfro: Subverted, although it's orange, it doesn't stop from kicking Chad's ass before his opponent took two TookALevelInBadass and beats the crap of him.
* InstantAwesomeJustAddDragons: His Zanpakuto means "Dragon Fang" and its shape resembles a giant chinese dragon.
* OddNameOut: His Zanpakuto is the only one whose name isn't a Spanish term or even an existing word at all.
* PowerFist: Does good in the first half of the fight, doesn't do shit the second half.[[/folder]]

!Fraccion and Numeros
[[folder:Shawlong Koufang]]
!!!'''Shawlong Koufang'''
[[quoteright:290:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/290px-Shawlong_pic_1953.jpg]]

Arrancar 11 and Grimmjow's Fraccion. He first appears with Grimmjow and Di Roy, as one of the twenty Arrancars present when Ulquiorra gave his report to Aizen over Ichigo's development. Agreeing with Grimmjow that Ichigo should've died before he grew powerful enough to oppose them, Shawlong and Grimmjow led an unauthorized mission to kill anyone with even the slightest amount of spirit energy. Shawlong and Nakeem had over to Orihime Inoue's house; they confront Toshiro Hitsugaya and Rangiku Matsumoto. He was killed by Hitsugaya.

In his backstory, he was an Adjuchas that led a group of Hollows in a quest to become Vasto Lordes, namely Edorad Liones, Yylfordt Granz, Nakeem Grindina and Di Roy Linker. One day, they stumbled across a tiny Adjuchas whom they attempted to hunt, but his retaliation caused several of them to be "eaten." Shawlong, recognizing Grimmjow's strength, invited him to join the group as their "king," a fellowship of Adjuchas to become Vasto Lorde-class Menos. However, when it became clear that they couldn't evolve any further, they asked Grimmjow to eat a part of each of them, so they wouldn't regress back into Gillians.

His zanpakuto, ''Tijireta'', gives him an earwig motif with razor-sharp claws.
----
* AffablyEvil: He's the most well-mannered of the group.
* {{Badass}}: Nearly killed a ''captain'', even though he's a Gillian (as far as Hitsugaya and Aizen are concerned).
* BloodKnight: Enjoys the prospect of having to fight a captain.
* CombatPragmatist: Shawlong agreed with Grimmjow's sentiment - assassinate Ichigo before he becomes a problem.
* GeniusBruiser: He's rather analytical and guessed that Ylfordt might have released because of a surprise attack. In addition, he guessed that the ice flowers behind Hitsugaya act like a count down until his Bankai completely shatters away. However, he overestimates his bruiser status.
* NervesOfSteel: Barely reacts when Hitsugaya briefly freezes his arm.
* NoBodyLeftBehind: Nearly identically to Di Roy. As soon as Hitsugaya encases him within an ice sculpture, it melts into thousands of little pieces, with Shawlong following suit.
* OhCrap: When Nakeem and Yylfordt die, he flashes one before attempting to reteat.
* PerpetualFrowner: Under most circumstances.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: After Edorad, Yylfordt and Nakeem all die, he runs for the hills.
* SkeletonsInTheCoatCloset: While all Arrancars have bone-like released forms, Shawlong's "Tijereta" fits especially.
* SoftSpokenSadist: Gives off this vibe at times.
* SpeedBlitz: When he released Tijereta, Hitsugaya couldn't even react when Shawlong diagonally slashes through his shoulder to his waist.
* TheStoic: Rarely emotes, compared to Edorad or Yylfordt, though not as much as Nakeem.
* UnderestimatingBadassery: He assumes that Hitsugaya is fighting at full strength when he's actually under a massive limiter.
* WolverineClaws: Turns his fingers into extremely sharp claws after releasing his Zanpakuto.
* YouCantFightFate: He abandoned his quest to become a Vasto Lorde after eating thousands of hollows and not advancing, believing it was some predetermined factor that was decided long before he became Hollows. The sentiment was shared by Di Roy, Nakeem, Yylfordt and Edorad.[[/folder]]

[[folder:Edorad Liones]]
!!!'''Edorad Liones'''
[[quoteright:290:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/290px-Edrad_Liones_4155.jpg]]

Arrancar 13 and Grimmjow's Fraccion. Edorad is a member of Grimmjow's Fraccion who participates in attacking Karakura Town without Aizen's permission.

He wields ''Volcanica'', which lets him upgrade his physical abilities with fire.
----
* AffablyEvil: While still a villain, Edorad has a surprisingly honorable side.
* AnimeHair: How the hell does he manage to make his hair look like ''that?''
* {{Badass}}: Almost killed a Bankai-wielding Ikkaku.
* CharacterDevelopment: Hard to imagine, sure, but when the first started, he doesn't think of Ikkaku (a 3rd Seat) as a threat, and refuses to introduce himself because of that. Ikkaku claims that introductions are a last courtesy for the person that you're about to kill. Later into the fight, Edorad revealed his full name to Ikkaku, and just before he dies, he admits that he's glad Ikkaku revealed his name to him.
* CombatPragmatist: When Ikkaku sees Keigo Asano, Edorad takes the time to punch Ikkaku through a wall.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: Edorad is deeply disturbed upon realising Ikkaku's motive for fighting is just to have fun and that that his style is to throw away skill in favour of fighting on luck alone.
* ExplainingYourPowerToTheEnemy: He's the one that explained how Hierro works, and revealed how Arrancars go OneWingedAngel.
* FaceDeathWithDignity: Unlike many other Arrancars, Edorad peacefully accepts his final fate.
* GeniusBruiser: He looks large, imposing and brutish but he's also pretty clever, since he figures out Ikkaku's fighting style after a brief clash.
* GoodOldFisticuffs: Uses them against Ikkaku, particularly in his OneWingedAngel form.
* GracefulLoser: Just before he died, he admitted that he was glad that he knew the name of the man who killed him.
* MultiColoredHair: Black on the left and red on the right.
* PlayingWithFire: Volcanica grants him this ability to his fists.
* PowerFist: Volcano-powered fists, at that.
* SmugSuper: Refuses to reveal his name to what he thought was a RedShirt. Unlike most, he grows out of this mindset by the end of his fight with Ikkaku.
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: He's either "Edrad Liones" or "Edorad Leones".
* TorsoWithAView: Hollow hole aside, Ikkaku kills Edorad by ''tearing off the flesh'' from the right side of his stomach.
* WorthyOpponent: He acknowledges Ikkaku as one in the end.[[/folder]]

[[folder:Nakeem Grindina]]
!!!'''Nakeem Grindina'''
[[quoteright:290:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/290px-Nakim_1301.png]]

Arrancar 14 and Grimmjow's Fraccion. The largest and fattest member of Grimmjow's Fraccion. He rarely ever speaks, preferring to silently stand around, observing what the others do. Participating in the first assault on Karakura Town, he faced Rangiku Matsumoto, and appeared to defeat her without any damage done to either one. However, that was a ruse - she was calling for the PowerLimiter to get lifted, so she could fight him better, and successfully killed him with her Zanpakuto.
----
* DiesWideShut: Particularly in the anime.
* DumbMuscle: No, Nakeem. ''One kick'' isn't enough to defeat a Lieutenant. He also neglected to finish her off after that off-screen CurbStompBattle, even though she was completely unharmed.
* ExplainingYourPowerToTheEnemy: He explains the Arrancar speed movement is called Sonidou which is enough for Rangiku to work out it's barely any different to Shunpou, except for the sound it makes. Her skill at shunpou is far superior to his skill at sonidou so she defeats him easily.
* GiantMook: Big and somewhat tough looking, but just a mook when you get down to it. Once the limiter was gone, he quickly dies from a single slash to his shoulder.
* IGotBigger: Odd example. After he "defeats" Matsumoto, Nakeem appears to have grown ''much'' larger than the other times we saw him.
* PerpetualFrowner: His face is a perpetual scowl.
* SpeedBlitz: Tried it on Rangiku, but she [[FlashStep counters]] by using it on him instead.
* TheQuietOne: Nakeem only ever spoke once (in the manga) or twice (in the anime).
* TheStoic: Goes hand in hand with being a PerpetualFrowner and TheQuietOne.[[/folder]]

[[folder:Ylfordt Granz]]
!!!'''Yylfordt Granz'''
[[quoteright:290:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/290px-Yylfordt_6559.png]]

Arrancar 15, Grimmjow's Fraccion and the older brother of Szayelaporro. A tall, blond-haired man with an effeminate face, Yylfordt joins Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez in attacking Karakura Town without authorization.

His zanpakutou, ''Del Toro'', transforms him into a bull with enhanced physical strength.
----
* ALoadOfBull: His released form, ''Del Toro''.
* {{Badass}}: Largely overpowered a Bankai-wielding lieutenant, despite being a Fraccion. After Renji wins, he admits that if he hadn't caught Ylfordt by surprise when the power limiter came off he might have lost.
* BarehandedBladeBlock: When he looked over to Di Roy's location after the latter was killed, Yylfordt effortlessly blocks Renji's Bankai without suffering a scratch.
* {{Bishonen}}: The most effeminate of the group under Grimmjow.
* BlondGuysAreEvil: He's rather abrasive and condescending.
* CatchPhrase: He says "brother" more times than HulkHogan.
* ChekhovsGunman: Szayelaporro planted spycam insects within Yylfordt. These insects record everything that he saw, which is what Szayelaporro used to analyze Abarai's Bankai and figure out how to counter it.
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: When he goes OneWingedAngel, he effortlessly stabs through Renji and ''Ururu''.
* {{Jerkass}}: Slicing Renji apart in addition to taunting him for the duration of their fight.
* NervesOfSteel: Doesn't even flinch when Abarai tries to attack him while talking.
* NoBodyLeftBehind: Renji's Hikotsu Taiho ''obliterates'' Yylfordt
* TalkingIsAFreeAction: Especially when your skin is hard enough to block a sword from slicing you.
* WouldHurtAChild: Especially if the kid hits him first.[[/folder]]

[[folder:D Roy Dinker]]
!!!'''D Roy Rinker'''
[[quoteright:290:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/290px-D-Roy_4256.png]]

Arrancar 16 and Grimmjow's Fraccion. Originally appeared ''way'' earlier as the guy scolding Grand Fisher for losing to Ichigo. He later shows up as one of the twenty Arrancars present when Yammy and Ulquiorra reported back to Aizen over Ichigo's development. He participates in Grimmjow's unauthorized assault in Karakura Town.
----
* AintTooProudToBeg: Apparently needed to do so in order to join Grimmjow's assault.
* BarehandedBladeBlock: He blocks Rukia's sealed zanpakutou with his bare hand.
* BoisterousWeakling: After almost killing Sado and blocking Rukia's unsealed sword, he appears to be very dangerous. However, he's defeated the moment Rukia releases her power. Upon realising he's dead, his companions dismiss him as a weakling who, despite insisting on joining the invasion team, couldn't put his money where his mouth was.
* ChekhovsGunman: He first official appearance is in Chapter 199 when Grimmjow invades the living world. However, his first appearance is actually in Chapter 25. He was watching Grand Fisher getting transformed into an Arrancar, and scolded him for losing to Ichigo.
* CombatPragmatist: He makes sure to catch Sado with a SpeedBlitz and Rukia off-guard when she's talking to Ichigo.
* EyeBeams: He fires his Cero by pulling off the bandage that conceals his right eye, but he wasn't able to use it quick enough.
* TheFriendNobodyLikes: None of his comrades ever seemed to like him. Hell, they even took the time to talk trash about him after he died.
* GoodScarsEvilScars: Grimmjow gave him a permanent one when they were still Hollows. That bandage on his helmet was meant to cover up a wound that would never heal.
* NoBodyLeftBehind: Rukia froze the water in the air around D Roy, freezing ''him'' solid as a result. The ice cracks and dissolves, killing D Roy in the process.
* SmallNameBigEgo: To an extent. He claims that fighting in the air is his specialty, even though ''almost everyone else'' can fight in the air.
* SpeedBlitz: So fast he nearly murdered Sado before he could even look at him properly.
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: While the ''MASKED'' datebook spells his last name as "Rinker", but other translations have called him "D Roy Linker", Dee Roy Linker", etc.[[/folder]]

[[folder:Aisslinger Wernarr]]
!!!'''Aisslinger Wernarr'''
[[quoteright:290:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/aisslinger001_9711.png]]

Arrancar 17. He originally showed up as the guy who turned Grand Fisher into an Arrancar. Re-appeared with Demoura as the guards of an underground passageway to Las Noches. Unlike most Arrancars, Aisslinger fused with his Zanpakuto, hence why his appearance is more Hollow-like than humanoid.
----
* AnimalMotifs: Aisslinger is an avian.
* AsskickingEqualsAuthority: The reason he follows Aizen.
* BecomeYourWeapon: Aisslinger fused with his Zanpakuto instead of sealing his Hollow form into it.
* ChekhovsGunman: In the manga, Aisslinger was the one that turned Grand Fisher into an Arrancar.
* CoolMask: Aisslinger has one Badass-looking helmet, right there.
* MoreDakka: Aisslinger moves all of his arms out diagonally from his body, and extends his fingers out in the same manner, shooting blasts of energy from each of his fingertips at Ishida. He claimed to fire [[OneHundredAndEight 108]] at once, but they were overwhelmed by the 1,200 arrows from Ginrei Kojaku.
* FlashStep: Aisslinger used Sonido against Ishida, but it didn't do much.
* InSeriesNickname: Demoura calls him "Aiss".
* LoadBearingBoss: When both Aisslinger and Demoura are defeated, the passageway collapses, killing them both.
* RedOniBlueOni: Aisslinger is the Blue Oni. Demoura is the Red Oni.
* SmallNameBigEgo: Aisslinger thought of himself as an EvilGenius, confident in his firing ability being more than enough to overwhelm Ishida. Put bluntly, he was wrong.
* TeethClenchedTeamwork: Aisslinger resents having to work with [[DumbMuscle Demoura]].
* ThoseTwoBadGuys: He's paired with Demoura in a group battle against Chad and Uryu. They're defeated rather quickly.
* TheWorfBarrage: His Una Terotear, which he claimed was his greatest weapon. Turns out, 108 blasts of energy didn't do much against 1,200 energy arrows.[[/folder]]

Arrancar 18. He guards an underground passageway to Las Noches in Hueco Mundo, along with Aisslinger. He's none too bright, and he seems to dislike Aisslinger. He appears to be an incomplete Arrancar, who lacks a Zanpakuto, but retains a Hollow mask.
-----
* AnimalMotifs: Demoura's most like a worm.
* AppliedPhlebotinum: Demoura gathers Reishi through his hands, enhancing his punches enough that it breaks the pavement rather profoundly.
* BerserkButton: Subverted. He takes offense at being called stupid, but he refrains from harming Aisslinger over it.
* TheBrute: Big, dumb and strong. Demoura is basically around to smash stuff.
* DumbMuscle: Demoura is none too bright, which is evident in his speech pattern, but he's smart enough to use AppliedPhlebotinum against Sado.
* FaceFramedInShadow: When he first appeared, chasing Ichigo, Sado and Ishida through a narrow hallway.
* FacialMarkings: Demoura has them down his cheeks.
* LoadBearingBoss: When both Aisslinger and Demoura are defeated, the passageway collapses, killing them both.
* OverlyLongTongue: Uses it on Chad. Didn't work.
* RedOniBlueOni: Demoura is the Red Oni, Aisslinger is the Blue Oni.
* TeethClenchedTeamwork: Demoura doesn't like having to work with a guy that keeps calling him stupid.
* ThoseTwoBadGuys: With Aisslinger.

[[quoteright:290:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/290px-Charlotte_Portrait_8636.jpg]]

Arrancar 20 and Baraggan's Fraccion. Chuhlhourne is a large, bulky and muscular Arrancar who announces himself as Baraggan's Number One Fraccion. His mannerisms and dress style border on those of a stereotypical DragQueen.

He wields ''Reina de Rosas'', which upgrades his physical capabilities, and lets him use flashy - but impractical - attacks.
----
* AdaptationExpansion: His fight with Yumichika lasts longer in the anime.
* AffablyEvil: He's odd as hell, but he has a better moral compass than his comrades.
* BerserkButton: Cutting his hair will prompt him to go OneWingedAngel.
* CallingYourAttacks: Very common in this story, but Cuuhlhourne deserves special mention for calling out attack names that are all at ''least'' twelve words long. The anime parodies this by giving him an [[AdaptationExpansion extra attack call]] and having him bite his tongue in the middle of saying it.
* CloseCallHaircut: Chuhlhourne gets one during the fight with Yumichika. And then he goes APESHIT.
* DarkChick: When you think "Arrancar", the ''last'' thing you visualize is a DragQueen.
* DragQueen: He's a MagicalGirl parody.
* EvilCounterpart: He's far more flamboyant than Yumichika. However, he believes beauty comes from strength in a way that would actually support the 11th division's battle philosophy. Yumichika ends up revealing that he's not a huge fan of that kind of philosophy and that he believes beauty is best expressed at the moment of death or victory.
* FaceDeathWithDignity: He dies peacefully, complimenting his rivals' strength.
* FamousLastWords: "You're really something..."
* TheFightingNarcissist: Unlike Yumichika who subverts the trope, he plays it straight.
* FlowerMotif: Rose-themed.
* GracefulLoser: For all of his hamminess and vanity, Chuhlhourne is rather calm when he dies. Even his FamousLastWords were a [[WorthyOpponent compliment]] to his rival's strength.
* HamToHamCombat: The first half of his fight with Yumichika consists of the two shouting insults at each other while crossing swords. This stops after the fight undergoes a MoodWhiplash.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: Yeah, Charlotte, remember your giant cocoon-dome that isolates your opponent from his allies? That's all Yumichika needed to use Ruri'iro Kujaku on your ass since it kept Yumichika's Zanpakuto hidden from his allies.
* LargeHam: Makes Abirama look tame by comparison.
* LaughablyEvil: Even Yumichika thinks so.
* MagicalGirl: He's a deliberate parody of these, to the point that his resurreccion resembles a ''Anime/SailorMoon'' transformation. Reactions vary from "oh, God my eyes", to uncontrollable laughter, or some bizarre combination of the two. Yumichika himself runs the gamut of these reactions.
* NiceJobFixingItVillain: Yumichika kills him with his Zanpakuto's true form after Rosa Blanca isolates them both from visual and spiritual perception.
* SomethingAboutARose: His deadliest attack, "Rosa Blanca" ("white rose" in Spanish) involves roses and their thorns.
* ThisIsUnforgivable: When Yumichika cuts his hair.
* WalkingShirtlessScene: After releasing his Zanpakuto.
* WorthyOpponent: Recognizes Yumichika as one just before his death.[[/folder]]

He wields ''Aguila'', which transforms him into a bird with steel wings capable of mowing enemies down.
----
* AchillesHeel: His steel feathers also become his downfall when Kira finally releases his own power to ground him.
* AintTooProudToBeg: Kira calls him out on it just before he dies.
* AnimalMotifs: Avirrama is eagle-themed, even down to having wings and feather-based attacks.
* BigBadassBirdOfPrey: His OneWingedAngel form.
* BloodKnight: Very much so. Kira [[TheReasonYouSuckSpeech makes sure to deride him for it]].
* BloodUpgrade: Abirama gets stronger by cutting himself. He also grow an extra pair of wings.
* BoisterousBruiser: Something that Kira hates him for.
* TheBrute: Loves to fight and destroy things.
* CombatPragmatist: As soon as a fight starts, he releases his Zanpakuto.
* FeatherFlechettes: One of his abilities after he uses Aguila.
* FlechetteStorm: As a result of the above trope.
* LargeHam: His vision of a battle preparation includes screaming on the top of his lungs just to psyche himself up, and he even tells Kira to do the same, to which the latter obviously declines.
* OffWithHisHead: Kira kills him via ''decapitation''.

His zanpakuto is known as ''Pinza Aguda'', and it transforms his right arm into an enormous lobster claw capable of firing immensely pressurized blasts of water and steam.
----
* AdaptationExpansion: Like all the pillar battles, this one is extended in the anime.
* AnimalMotifs: Findor is crab-themed. In resurreccion his one arm even becomes a giant pincer. His powers are water-based.
* {{Bishonen}}: Rather pretty for a guy.
* BlondGuysAreEvil: He's arrogant and things he's much stronger than he is.
* CatchPhrase: "Exacta!"
* ChewingTheScenery: When he was DefiantToTheEnd.
* CloseCallHaircut: Got one when Hisagi first uses Kazeshini on him.
* DefiantToTheEnd: The anime has Findorr uses a Cero in a last-ditch attempt to kill Hisagi. Didn't work.
* DirtyCoward: In the manga, he hauled ass as soon as it became clear that Hisagi could not be defeated. He was [[InTheBack quickly killed]] afterward.
* GoryDiscretionShot: In the anime, when Hisagi slices through Findorrs head, there's a silhouette keeping the details from the camera.
* MakingASplash: Findorr gains this ability in resurreccion. He can spray water with enough force to disintegrate concrete.
* PowerLimiter: Findorr's mask acts as one. His power increases the more it is chipped away.
* SmallNameBigEgo: After breaking the final piece of his mask, he boasts that his power is comparable to that of a captain. Hisagi quickly proves him wrong, and chides him for believing so just after Findorr's death.[[/folder]]

He wields ''Calderon'', a tiny zanpakutou that transforms him into an enormous whale-like beast towering over even sky scrapers.
----
* AdaptationExpansion: His fight with Komamura is extended, including how the battle ends.
* AnimalMotifs: Poww is essentially a monstrous whale that masquerades as a humanoid. In resurreccion he becomes monstrously large (not that he wasn't already) and gains a throat like a baleen whale.
* ArrogantKungFuGuy: Attacking a captain wasn't a smart move, Poww.
* ClippedWingAngel: Poww's Calderon causes him quite a bit of discomfort, as his body apparently feels very heavy and hard to move in.
* DrunkWithPower: After releasing Calderon, he seems to grow an even bigger ego.
* IronicEcho: He called Komamura a dog during their fight. Just before Poww dies, he asks his name, and Komamura replies that he's "Just a dog."
* {{Jerkass}}: Badmouths Ikkaku and Komamura for their appearances.
* LazyBum: In his Calderon form. Hell, when he yawns, that powers up a Cero.
%% * MightyGlacier: When he releases Calderon, he grows much slower. However, he's so large that his giant stride length means he doesn't have to move around much to keep up with the much smaller Soul Reapers that are trying to run away from him.

He wields ''Tigre Estoque'', a zanpakutou that grants him a saber-tooth tiger motif with enhanced physical skills.
----
* AdaptationExpansion: There's an entire episode dedicated to Ggio out-maneuvering Soifon in their fight after he goes OneWingedAngel.
* AnimalMotifs: His powers are tiger-named, he has tiger stripes and his mask includes the fangs of a sabre-tooth cat of indeterminate species.
* ArrogantKungFuGuy: You shouldn't have attacked a captain who has a two-hit-kill.
* BallisticBone: He shoots the sabre-teeth from his helmet as projectiles.
* {{Bishonen}}: He's rather small and somewhat effeminate looking.
* ClippedWingAngel: Vega's powered up form of Tigre Estoque sacrifices mobility for strength, which allowed Soifon to kill him.
* DeathByIrony: He fights with a SpeedBlitz. He dies from a SpeedBlitz.
* EvilCounterpart: To Soifon. They differ largely in that Vega is cockier, louder and indifferent towards his comrades.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: Using "Tigre Estoque El Sable" really screwed him over.
* SpeedBlitz: Even Soifon is surprised at how quick he gets. He gets blitzed right back when she decides to actually fight him seriously.

His zanpakuto is known as ''Mamut''. It transforms him into a mammoth-like beast with enhanced strength.
----
* AdaptationExpansion: His fight with Omaeda is expanded in the anime, to the point where Omaeda killed him instead of Ggio.
* AffablyEvil: He's a lot calmer and more patient than Omaeda, but he's still a {{Jerkass}}.
* AnimalMotifs: Elephant. Mammoth, to be more specific.
* TheBrute: Not very intelligent, relies almost exclusively on brute force.
* ClippedWingAngel: Nirgge's Mamut slows him down, but he doesn't regard it as much of a problem.
* DeathByIrony: In the manga, he's killed by an Arrancar while fighting a Soul Reaper. In particular, not too long after he released his Zanpakuto, Ggio did the same and a stray shard burrowed straight into Nirgge's head.
* DirtyOldMan: He admits that he would've preferred to fight Rangiku instead of Omaeda.

Arrancar 33, Loly is one of Aizen's direct aides, and she's really, ''really'' fixated on her boss. She's infamous for her ''vicious'' treatment of Orihime over rather petty reasons, but she always gets hit by karma following that.

Loly's Zanpakuto is ''Escolopendra'', a sword that transforms her into a centipede with acid and poison-based abilities.
-----
* AbsoluteCleavage: Her uniform shows off a ''lot'' of skin in her chest area.
* AxCrazy: Loly shows signs of the jealousy-driven version.
* BareYourMidriff: Modified her uniform to show off her stomach.
* CreepyCentipedes. Escolopendra turns her into a giant centipede. ''Scolopendra'' is a genus of centipedes of the family Scolopendridae.
* ClingyJealousGirl: Is one towards Aizen. One-sided feelings of course.
* CuteMonsterGirl: She's the only one of the two to go OneWingedAngel.
* DangerouslyShortSkirt: Loly is the only Arrancar girl that has her CustomUniformOfSexy modeled after a schoolgirl uniform; she somehow keeps the skirt even after going OneWingedAngel.
* DarkActionGirl: She's violent and cruel.
* DefiantToTheEnd: "I said ''scumbag.''"
* DisproportionateRetribution: Aizen dismisses you from his presence so he could show Orihime the Hogyoku. [[SarcasmMode Let's beat her to a pulp!]]
* DontYouDarePityMe: In the anime, Orihime tries to help her after Yammy picks her up, but she screams at Orihime to keep away.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: Loly is a horrendous bitch, but she seems to legitimately care about her partner; Loly freaks out when Menoly has to pay the price for ''her'' plans.
* EyepatchOfPower: Her hollow mask is over the left eye.
* FatalFlaw: Loly seems infatuated with Aizen, despite [[ManipulativeBastard his track record]] [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness when it comes]] [[BadBoss to his subordinates]].
* GirlishPigtails: They [[{{Fanservice}} look nice on her]], sure, but they serve to highlight how immature she is compared to Menoly.
* IHaveYourWife: Holds Orihime hostage by threatening to rip out her eye. Ulquiorra himself isn't impressed and tells the girls to cut it out.
* JerkAss: Brutalizes Orihime's face, bullies Menoly into following her and continues tormenting Orihime even ''after'' getting healed by her.
* KnifeNut: Escolopendra takes the form of a dagger [[PoisonedWeapons that can release poison as well]]. We see its affects in the anime, and she even manages to draw blood by slashing Yammy's palm, but he takes her out very quickly.
* LaserGuidedKarma: Both times she attacks Orihime she gets stomped by an Espada.
* MsFanservice: Her uniform was designed specifically to show off her figure, which is probably why she gets much more screen time compared to Menoly.
* MurderTheHypotenuse: Tried it twice against Orihime.
* NotQuiteDead: The anime reveals Loly was pinned to the wall by one of Ishida's arrows, saving her from falling to her death. She reappears ''much'' later in the manga, [[spoiler: attacking Quilge Opie and the First Jagdarmee alongside Melony and getting her butt kicked again.]]
* TheOnlyOneAllowedToDefeatYou: In the anime, as a parallel to Ichigo and Grimmjow's rivalry, Loly stops cowering and tries to fight Yammy off when he's about to attack Orihime, yelling at him for messing with "her prey". Doesn't work out.
* PetTheDog: Loly's [[TheOnlyOneAllowedToDefeatYou defense of Orihime from Yammy]] in the anime, even to the point of smiling at her just before Yammy throws her through the wall. Still a bitch about it, though.
* PoisonedWeapons: Her released form allows her to poison her enemies. In the anime, this is also an example of PoisonIsCorrosive.
* ThighHighBoots: Wears jet black skin-tight boots with white stripes on them.
* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: Loly is the girly girl in appearance; opposite in personality.
* TooDumbToLive: Ambushing Orihime is a ''bad'' idea. You found that out in a really horrendous way. Don't you ''ever'' learn your lessons?
* UndyingLoyalty: Even with Aizen defeated, she still proclaims herself as "Aizen-sama's aide".
* UngratefulBitch: Towards Orihime, but that could be due to how [[AllLovingHero Orihime]] represents the [[RealityWarper exact opposite]] of how [[TheHeartless a Hollow's lifestyle]] [[SocialDarwinist tends to be]].
--> '''Loly:''' "What is she... What... She's... She's... Like a monster...!?"

----
* TheChewToy: She never seems to get a break. Gets obliterated by Grimmjow, bullied into helping Loly attack Orihime a second time, swatted through a wall by Yammy and slashed apart from Quilge Opie.

Pesche and Dondochakka are Nel's two goofy, cartoonish companions. They are eccentric but generally harmless despite being arrancar. Pesche has a fondness for bad jokes and generally being annoying while Dondochakka talks like a cowardly gangster. Encountered by Ichigo's gang on Hueco Mundo, they agree to lead the group to Aizen's fortress Las Noches, where they follow several members of the group when they split up: Pesche went with Ishida and Dondochakka went with Renji, while Bawabawa went back inside Dondochakka's mouth.

The name and ability of Dondochakka's zanpakuto is unknown, while Pesche wields ''Ultima''.

* BokeAndTsukkomiRoutine: Pesche tries to set these up with Ishida when they're stuck together, much to Ishida's annoyance.
* CarryABigStick: Dondochakka has one.
* CombinationAttack: Pesche and Dondochakka's ''Cero Sincretio''
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: When Pesche and Dondonchakka decide to cut loose it turns out that they're both entirely competent, but just not good enough to match Szayel.
* LaserBlade: Pesche has one which he compares to Uryu's Seele Schneider in a... ''unique'' manner.
* LateArrivalSpoiler: To put it into perspective, the true identities of Nelliel, Pesche, and Dondochakka as former Aizen-affiliated Arrancar was first revealed at chapters 289 to 290/291, around a year or two before the anime first aired the ShesAllGrownUp episode on October 28, 2008. The dub first released that same episode on ''February 12, 2011''.
* ObfuscatingStupidity: Pesche and Dondochakka act like idiots to keep Nel from remembering her life as 3rd Espada. They're still genuinely ditzes, but they're smarter than they look.
* PunchClockVillain: Hard to picture, we know, but for a time, they actually used to work under Aizen's wing.
* SandWorm: Bawabawa acts as one in desert-like Hueco Mundo.

Nnoitra's fraccion, the 50th Numero. He's extremely loyal to his boss.

His Zanpakuto is ''Verruga'', which means "wart." It transforms him into an enormous warthog with overwhelming physical strength.
-----
* AnimalMotifs: His Resurreccion is warthog-themed.
* {{Bishounen}}: Compared to most male Fraccion, at least.
* EyepatchOfPower: Wears one to emulate his master.
* JerkAss: Abuses his enemies just as badly as Nnoitra does. He's just calmer.
* JustFollowingOrders: In regards to holding Orihime while Nnoitra fought Ichigo. From that, Tesra promised not to harm her unless she attacked him. He even asks Orihime, when she jolts due to wondering where Nel went, if something was wrong. On the other hand, when given free reign, he's pretty sadistic himself.
* MoralityPet: Nnoitra mistreats him every bit as much as he mistreats his enemies, but he cared enough to warn Tesra that Kenpachi was too much to handle.
* MyMasterRightOrWrong: Excluding complaints about it. He willingly defended Nnoitra from an attack, and even when he was nearly killed for it, he still follows him.
* NoHoldsBarredBeatdown: Unleashes one on an already severely-wounded Ichigo, breaking his limbs and bones.
* PigMan: His [[OneWingedAngel release]], which made for a good "did not see that coming" scene.
* SingleTear: Exudes one just before he dies, after witnessing Nnoitra himself die.
* SoftspokenSadist: He really wasn't ordered to break Ichigo's arm or continue beating on him endlessly without killing him. Even Nnoitra was telling him to hurry up and get it over with.
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Tesla? Tesra? Japanese lacks an 'l' but what's loosely called an 'r' sound gets romanised as either an 'l' or 'r' depending on translator.

!!!'''Emilou Apacci'''
[[quoteright:250:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/250px-apache_4527.jpg]]

Arrancar #54, serving under Harribel. She has blue hair and different colored eyes (and an orange ring around her left eye), along with a high temper and a lot of pride.
----
* AbsoluteCleavage: Her Resurrección form has fur all over her body, sans her head and her chest, of which a great deal of skin is exposed to the camera.
* AdaptationExpansion: The anime had a WholeEpisodeFlashback about how she met Harribel, Sung-Sun and Mila Rose.
* AintTooProudToBeg: In Nestle To Night, she grabbed Orihime's head, locked eyes with her and ''repeatedly'' begged her to save Harribel, Sung-Sun and Mila Rose.
* AllThereInTheManual: Her full name, number, birthday, height, weight and survival were revealed in the ''Unmasked'' databook.
* AnimalMotifs: Deer.
* ChekhovsGunman: Apacci was the first shown of the three, reacting blankly to Aaroniero broadcasting his death and asking for Harribel to tell her what to do in regards to that. Nothing came of it, though.
* DarkActionGirl: More overtly nasty than her comrades, due to her short temper and occasional bouts of borderline sadism.
* DeathByAdaptation: The anime ended before we learned that she survived, as well as that of her comrades and mistress.
* TheDeterminator: Her skin was burnt and her arm was severed, with blood still dripping from her wound, and she ''still'' used FlashStep to get to Orihime's location (after the transfer from Fake Karakura to the Soul Society was completed) in Nestle To Night. Once there, she immediately falls to the ground... and forces herself up anyway. Her shoulder shook violently every time she breathed, her words coming out in short bursts, but it didn't matter; she forced several steps closer to Orihime before collapsing to the ground again.
* DoesNotLikeMen: In the anime, she expresses disdain at another Hollow for being male (although the fact that he tried to ''eat'' her probably has something to do with it). In the present story, she doesn't allow it affect her when she more or less allies with Ichigo versus Opie.
* EnemyMine: In Nestle To Night, a battered and burnt Apacci suddenly appears after Ichigo falls into a coma, convincing Orihime, Renji and Rukia to help out in saving her friends. In the manga, she returns via fighting Opie, who himself targeted Ichigo at the same time.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: She actually ''stops'' arguing with Sung-Sun and Mila Rose after seeing Opie kill one of his soldiers. Given how Harribel's never treated her that way, it makes perfect sense over why Apacci disapproves.
* EvilLaugh: She bursts into a set of maniacal, even sadistic laughter when Ayon laid the smackdown on Opie.
* FatalFlaw: Passion. She wears her emotions on her sleeve and she doesn't take shit from anyone, making her incredibly temperamental and reactionary on a lot of fronts, but it also makes her the most leader-like of Harribel's three Fraccion due to her ability to step up the quickest and most frequently of the three.
* FlashStep: While all Arrancar have it (called Sonido), Apacci stands out in that, in Nestle To Night, she teleported in such a way that it seems she ''falls from the sky and onto the ground''.
* FusionDance: She can combine her severed arm with that of Mila Rose and Sung-Sun to create the Chimera Ayon. She was the first to prove that none of them have any control over Ayon, however.
* HairTriggerTemper: ''Anything'' will set her off, which leads to ''a lot'' of arguments between her and Mila Rose or Sung-Sun.
* HeroicSacrifice: Both the anime and Nestle To Night portray this in different ways, neither of which contradict the other. In the anime, it's implied she led the charge against Yamamoto so that she could get Harribel to unleash her Ressurreccion on Hitsugaya, although she survives along with Mila Rose and Sung-Sun. In Nestle To Night, when it becomes clear that Harribel actually needs saving, Apacci is willing to rot away if it meant getting her mistress healed first.
* HornedHumanoid: Her Hollow mask takes on the form of a horn, which is upgraded in her Resurrección.
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: When she assumes Opie's down and out via Ayon, she gloats about it as she walks closer to the Quincy, who then stabs her through the ''neck''.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: She's loud, harsh and irritable, but she loves her friends as if they were family, and she'd rather have herself killed if it meant they lived instead. Her interaction with Kukkapurro cements her as one, see {{Tsundere}} below.
* NotSoDifferent: Despite massive differences in personality, she cares as much for her friends as Orihime, something that Nestle To Night points out.
* NumberTwo: While she's still rather hard to get along with, Sung-Sun and Mila Rose often follow her lead, thereby making her the ''de facto'' second in command in her group, behind Harribel.
* PluckyGirl: She attacks ''Yamamoto'', of all people, ''without her arm'', as did Sung-Sun and Mila Rose. Yamamoto is so impressed that he decides to spare them.
* PowerTrio: The impulsive and irritable Apacci is the Id amongst her group.
* {{Pride}}: Nestle To Night shows that it makes up a large part of her personality, see {{Tsundere}}.
* TrueCompanions: Most explicit in the anime rendition of her backstory, where she quickly grows to accept Harribel, Sung-Sun and Mila Rose as her family.
* {{Tsundere}}: Nestle to Night establishes her as a rather dark example. She's ''ashamed'' of herself for feeling grateful to Orihime for saving her mistress, and she'd rather forget such a thing happened due to her pride. She even acts like one to Kukkapuuro via yelling at him to leave and abruptly picking him up, causing him to yelp and struggle in her grasp. When Sung-Sun calls her out on it (and explains that he wants to stay), Apacci complies, albeit [[BlatantLies claiming that she was going to do so anyway]]. At the end of the novel, a sketch was made that depicted Harribel and her entourage walking away, with Kukkapuuro looking at them. [[http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lmfip6YXEN1qcp8gy.jpg Apacci is the only one who spares a glance back at him]].
* UndyingLoyalty: While everyone in Harribel's group has it, Apacci particularly stands out due to the sheer pain she puts herself through in order to get Orihime to heal her mistress (whose own injuries were most severe).
* UngratefulBastard: Subverted. Apacci swears in her thoughts while mentally going over how Orihime saved Harribel when she couldn't; clearly envious of Orihime in that regards, but she's actually ashamed that she truly ''is'' grateful that Orihime healed all of them. When Orihime says she wants to heal her, Apacci declines and insists that Harribel needs to be treated first, despite having grave injuries herself.
* VillainousValor: While all of Harribel's Fraccion qualify by virtue of the PluckyGirl event, Apacci again finds a way to stand out. She's suffering from life-threatening injuries, but she's so driven to save her mistress that she will push herself through, caring little about her own life hanging in the balance. See TheDeterminator for details on that one.
* VitriolicBestBuds: She's so easy to annoy that she causes a lot of arguments among her trio, but she will throw herself to hell and back for them.
* TheWorfEffect: She was beaten off-panel by Opie to demostrate how out of league Arrancars are to Quincies.[[/folder]]

[[folder:Cyan Sung-Sun]]
!!!'''Cyan Sung-Sun'''
[[quoteright:250:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/250px-sunsun_2517.jpg]]

Arrancar #55, serving under Harribel. She's a thin, pale young girl with a calmer, if snobbish demeanor, known for snarking her way through conversations with her compatriots.
----
* AllThereInTheManual: Her full name, number, birthday, height, weight and survival were revealed in the ''Unmasked'' databook.
* AnimalMotifs: Snake. Even her Zanpakuto is named after an anaconda.
* AnimeChineseGirl: At least in looks, since there's no word on her ethnicity.
* DarkActionGirl: Best shown when she impaled a Quincy soldier through his head with her sai.
* DeadpanSnarker: Sung-Sun regularly jabs at her other two teammates and is the least openly emotional of the three.
* DeathByAdaptation: The anime ended before we learned that she survived.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: She normally spends her time snarking at her companions... but stops once she sees Opie killing one of his subordinates. It alarmed her that much.
* FusionDance: She can combine her severed arm with that of Apacci and Mila Rose to create the Chimera Ayon.
* HandHidingSleeves: Sung-Sun has extremely long sleeves that she always uses to cover her mouth and hide her weapon, making her sleeves a cross between the "high class" and "hidden weapons" variants. Traditionally, it was improper for a Japanese woman to show others the inside of her mouth, and the fact that she keeps her weapon hidden up her sleeve in a literal version of SilkHidingSteel only reinforces the traditional-Japanese-woman vibe she gives off.
* HeroicSacrifice: The anime implies that she jump-rushed Yamamoto knowing that she would die, but so she could strengthen Harribel's resolve to fight. Noticeably effective, since Harribel goes from merely keeping Hitsugaya at bay to trying to kill him to get to Yamamoto in her desire to ensure this sacrifice was not in vain.
* NoMouth: Sung-Sun's hand is conveniently positioned to hide her mouth at all times, sans her very first appearance while she, her Fraccion-mates and Harribel were observing the Ichigo-Grimmjow fight from afar. This is because she seems to embody [[YamatoNadeshiko traditional Asian femininity]], which implored that women keep their teeth hidden at all times.
* OhCrap: After Opie stabs through Apacci's neck (and makes it clear he survived Ayon's beatdown), Sung-Sun ''freaks the fuck out''. It really exemplified how desperate things turned for her group (until Ichigo bailed them out).
* PluckyGirl: Yamamoto was impressed at her resolve to take part in jump-rushing the Captain Commander without an arm.
* PowerTrio: Cool and snarky Sung-Sun acts as the Superego in her group.
* SaiGuy: Her Zanpakuto takes the form of a long, fork-like sword.
* SnakePeople: In Resurrección, her lower body becomes that of a snake's, making her look like a lamia. She can also conjure up snakes to attack with.
* TrueCompanions: With Harribel, Apacci and Mila Rose.
* VitriolicBestBuds: She will snark at Mila Rose and Apacci constantly, and act as snobbishly as she wants along the way, but there are several instances that prove she cares about their well-being as much as she does to Harribel. This is best shown when she reacts in what amounted to a FreakOut at seeing Apacci impaled by Opie.
* TheWorfEffect: Opie finishes her off-panel, and he suffers no visible marks afterward.[[/folder]]

[[folder:Franceska Mila Rose]]
!!!'''Franceska Mila Rose'''
[[quoteright:250:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/250px-mila-rose_2776.jpg]]

Arrancar #56, serving under Harribel. Taller than the other two, Mila Rose has dark skin, an amazon-esque costume and a temperament merged with that of her two comrades; she's calmer than Apacci, but more irritable than Sung-Sun.
-----
* AbsoluteCleavage: In all of her outfits, her chest is revealed in nearly all their glory.
* AllThereInTheManual: Her full name, number, birthday, height, weight and survival were revealed in the ''Unmasked'' databook.
* AmazonBrigade: Along with Apacci and Sung-Sun, for Harribel.
* AmbiguouslyBrown: The anime decided to give her a darker skin tone, contrasting with her pale complexion in the manga.
* AnimalMotif: [[PantheraAwesome Lion]].
* BareYourMidriff: Both in her default outfit and in her OneWingedAngel form.
* BloodKnight: The anime subtly portrays her as someone that enjoys fighting, with a slight sadistic streak as she's shown with a PsychoticSmirk as she fights an outmatched Matsumoto.
* CurbStompBattle: Ayon goes through this twice. First with Yamamoto, then with Quilge Opie.
* DangerouslyShortSkirt: A bit larger and bone-like than the typical skirt, but still short enough to count.
* DarkActionGirl: The anime plays it up more, as she fights Matsumoto personally and exhibits a behaviorial attitude reminiscent to a BloodKnight. In the manga, she even has a six-pack.
* DeathByAdaptation: The Unmasked databook revealed that she and her comrades were still alive, along with Harribel, but the anime ended before it got to the part where they made their re-appearance in the manga.
* EnemyMine: With Ichigo, Orihime, Chad and Urahara against Opie. It's not quite a HeelFaceTurn yet.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: She ''clearly'' took an issue with Opie murdering one of his henchmen since it silenced their arguing. Given her loyalty to Harribel, it makes a lot of sense.
* FacialMarkings: In her Ressurrecion, she gains an orange x-shaped mark on her forehead.
* FusionDance: She can combine her severed arm with that of Apacci and Sung-Sun to create the Chimera Ayon.
* HeroicSacrifice: She attacked Yamamoto primarily, knowing she would get burned anyway. It caused Harribel to release her Zanpakuto in order to ensure this sacrifice was not in vain.
* HornedHumanoid: After Aizen's defeat, the fragments of her Hollow mask changes. The band of the crown around her head is thicker, and has a pair of long, bull-like horns protruding from it.
* HotBlooded: She acts like she's calmer and more composed, but she's nearly as irritable as Apacci.
* MsFanservice: Her figure is the most voluptous among Harribel's Fraccion, something we know of due to her [[{{Stripperiffic}} provocatively designed outfit]].
* OperaGloves: She wears elbow-length white gloves with a bone-like contraption at the end.
* PantheraAwesome: Her Zanpakuto, Leona, is based on a lioness.
* PetTheDog: She literally pets Kukkapuuro in Nestle To Night. It's the friendliest moment she's had.
* PluckyGirl: Yamamoto commends Mila Rose and her group for their courage in attacking him before torching them to unconsciousness.
* PowerTrio: While she is rarely any better than Apacci, Mila-Rose fills the role of Ego by generally being the one to take up the moderating role, restraining Apacci or cussing out Sung-Sun.
* RedBaron: Nel informs Ichigo that the three are collectively referred to as the "''Tres Bestias''", and that they are feared amongst the Arrancar for their strength and ferocity.
* StatuesqueStunner: Mila Rose is second to Isane in term of height at 177cm/5'9".
* {{Stripperific}}: In her default outfit, she wears a skirt, a bodice with a bra-like design, a couple of armbands and warm warmers near her shoulders. In her ressurreccion, she has two claws holding her breasts, an armored thong, an armor-like neck garment, and a pair of boots which extend to her upper thigh.
* ThighHighBoots: Long, bone-like, white-colored boots that reach up to her thighs.
* TorsoWithAView: Mila Rose's hollow hole is located above her stomach.
* TrueCompanions: She sees her comrades and her mistress as such a group, a view shared by each of them.
* VitriolicBestBuds: She snaps at Apacci and Sung-Sun constantly, but their TeethClenchedTeamwork is ''damn'' effective, and it becomes obvious they were more pushing each others' buttons than outright hating each other.
* TheWorfEffect: Nel hypes her comrades up by quite a bit in chapter 488. Once she actually confronts [[DrillSergeantNasty Quilge Opie]], she's beaten off-panel.[[/folder]]

[[folder:Rudbornn Chelute]]
!!!'''Rudbornn Chelute'''
[[quoteright:290:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rubudon001_3822.png]]

A bull-headed Arrancar ranked as the 61st Numero, Rudbornn is the leader of the Exequias, an Arrancar {{Expy}} of the Soul Society's Stealth Force. The Exequias are responsible for terminating any rebels or intruders in Las Noches, hence their name, and the Espada hold a fair amount of authority over them.

Rudbornn wields ''Arbol'', which transforms him into... a tree. It's more menacing than it sounds, since the tree lets him sprout an infinite number of mooks.
----
* AGodAmI: He thinks his Zanpakuto's ability is "godlike" [[ItMakesSenseInContext since it creates 'people']]. He also claimed that Aizen was the one that gave said "godlike" ability to Rudbornn; he was most likely referring to the Hogyoku.
* AdaptationExpansion: His confrontation with Rukia was furthered in the anime; instead of his opponent solely being Rukia, she was joined by Renji and Chad, who distracted him long enough for Rukia to freeze him.
* BattleDiscretionShot: The manga's version of his fight with Rukia was skipped to the very ending, with Rukia completely unscathed and Rudbornn's tree branches frozen, preventing him from spawning the Calaveras.
* DroppedABridgeOnHim: In the manga, just after Rukia defeated him, Yammy flies down from the Las Noches tower and sucker-punched Rudbornn across the desert-field, cracking Rudbornn's helmet in the process and presumably killing him. The anime expands on this by having Yammy crack through the ice instead of just a single punch.
* TheFaceless: Uniquely, Rudbornn is the only Arrancar with a completely stable Hollow mask, resembling a bull.
* FacelessGoons: His Calaveras soldiers have helmets resembling human skulls.
* FlunkyBoss: He uses the Exequias to fight his battles for him, since his released form is a ''tree''.
* MookMaker: Arbol can spawn a shit-load of Calaveras foot-soldiers.
* SmugSnake: He can spawn an endless amount of Calaveras, but if he [[ZergRush used it properly]] instead of just gloating and utilizing MookChivalry, he would've defeated Rukia without many problems.
* YouHaveFailedMe: Exequias are tasked with killing off defeated Arrancars as punishment for losing their fights, hence why Rudbornn killed Dordoni and Cirucci off. In reality, however, Rudbornn was partly acting on behalf of Szayelaporro, who wanted to experiment on the Privarons' corpses in order to defeat Ichigo's gang.[[/folder]]

[[folder:Wonderweiss Margela]]
!!!'''Wonderweiss Margela'''
[[quoteright:290:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/wonderweiss001_1285.png]]

An Arrancar created by Aizen through the Hougyoku, with the rank of 77th Numero. He seems childlike and easily distracted, but when he does pay attention, he shows off tremendous power and merciless attacks.

His Zanpakuto is ''Extingir'', solely designed to negate the effects of Ryujin Jakka.
-----
* AlasPoorVillain. Even Yamamoto pities him after he kills him. [[invoked]]
-->'''Yamamoto:''' Poor thing... Were your emotions taken away from you too? (Stares at Aizen) That was cruel of you.
* AsskickingEqualsAuthority: Averted. The Soul Reapers classify him as Espada-level and his performance backs it up, but he still held the rank of Numero throughout his time with Aizen. He's not rational enough to hold authority.
* {{BFS}}: His zanpakuto looks like a claymore sword.
* ChekhovsGunman: Why the hell would Aizen make an Arrancar so useless? To deal with Yamamoto, [[DidntSeeThatComing of course]].
* CripplingOverspecialization: Subverted. His Resurreccion serves only to negate Yamamoto's Zanpakutou, but he's shown to be pretty powerful despite that.
* InfernalRetaliation: Explodes after being killed.
* KidWithTheLeash: He's in command of a HUGE hollow.
* MakeMeWannaShout: Possibly. His scream seems to have some nullifying effect.
* MultiArmedAndDangerous: In his released form, he grows lots of sinewy arms from his oversized shoulders.
* NotSoHarmlessVillain: Heavily hinted at during his very first appearance and brief clash with Urahara, but [[TheReveal the true extent of his not-harmlessness]] later is still spectacular. [[spoiler:He one-shots Ukitake and beats Kensei offscreen.]]
* OneWingedAngel: Whatever the hell his Resurreccion turns him into. Possibly justified due to Aizen's tinkering.
* PowerNullifier: [[spoiler:He was created for the sole purpose of cancelling out Yamamoto's powers.]]
* PsychopathicManchild: The guy would rather play with dragonflies and with other people's hats than go out in missions. [[spoiler:At first, at least...]]
* PureIsNotGood: Tousen explains that he's a pure creature and that pure creatures are attracted to each other. However, Wonderweiss is not on the side of good and has one sole purpose which is anything but good.
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: People are unclear on how to spell his name, though 'Wonderweiss' is the official spelling. Wonderwice and other permutations were not uncommon for a time.
* TorsoWithAView: His hollow hole is on his chest.
* UnskilledButStrong: He's so powerful that Yamamoto calls him a WorthyOpponent, but given his and Yamamoto's relative ages, Yamamoto has more skill and experience. Yamamoto even chides him and gives tips like: "Your attacks are too straight, too predictable".
* YourHeadAsplode: It inflated to ridiculous proportions just before exploding, but not before Yamamoto jumped onto it to keep it from destroying the city.[[/folder]]

[[folder:Lilynette Gingerbuck]]
!!!'''Lilynette Gingerbuck'''
[[quoteright:290:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gingerback001_4406.png]]

Lilynette is Starrk's sole fraccion and is about as dangerous as you'd expect from someone that looks as young as she does. Nevertheless, she shares a very close relationship with Starrk despite her irritability.
----
* AbsoluteCleavage: Not that she has any cleavage, but her uniform still exposes a lot of her chest.
* BareYourMidriff: Her outfit shows off her stomach.
* CuteMonsterGirl: More cute than monsterous, though.
* DetachedSleeves: She wears white sleeves on her arms from wrist to elbow.
* FamousLastWords: [[TakingTheBullet "Starrk..."]]
* FusionDance: [[spoiler:She's Starrk's zanpakuto, not his Fraccion meaning when they merge she becomes Espada #1 as well.]]
* HeroicSacrifice: In the anime, her consciousness is destroyed when she intercepts one of Kyoraku's attacks to protect Starrk, sending Starrk into a second VillainousBSOD.
* IJustWantToHaveFriends: Like Starrk, she was never able to make friends or anyone due to the immense power the pair possessed.
* IneffectualSympatheticVillain: Watching her try and fail to keep her dignity as a fighter while Ukitake toys with her, to the point she breaks down ''crying'', makes her an odd case of an allegedly villainous character chalking up {{Woobie}} points.
* IneffectualDeathThreats: It's hard to take her cries of "I'll kill you!" seriously when she's dirty and crying.
* IntergenerationalFriendship: With Starrk, though Lilynette makes a point that Arrancar don't age. Ukitake doesn't care [[spoiler:though he really should have.]]
* LiteralSplitPersonality: Of a sort. [[spoiler:Apparently she's not truly Starrk's fraccion, they're two fragments of the same Hollow.]]
* LittleMissBadass: ''Tries'' to be one, bless her, at the very least.
* LonelyTogether: Starrk and Lilynette.
* OperaGloves: Though modified so they can reveal the upper half of her hands.
* PluckyGirl: Doesn't give up even when Ukitake is clearly just messing with her to avoid [[WouldntHurtAChild killing her]].
* PunchClockVillain: Like Starrk, she doesn't really have much in the way of actual villainous traits. She's short tempered at worst, but for the most part just hangs out with these guys because she's lonely and there's no one else the pair can really interact with.
* SinisterScimitar: Can pull one out of her mask to fight. Not fight ''well'', but fight.
* {{Stripperiffic}}: She wears a tiny vest, long boots and gloves, and a pair of really short undergarments, all of which are white-colored with black outlines. A light BREEZE should result in a wardrobe malfunction, really.
* TakingTheBullet: In the anime, she dies intercepting a wind attack from Kyoraku that was meant for Starrk.
* TorsoWithAView: Her hollow hole is located on her solar plexus.
* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: Her hair is green.[[/folder]]

!Hollows
[[folder:Shrieker]]
!!!'''Shrieker'''

A male bat-like Hollow that targeted Chad. He was a serial killer in life, and was dragged off to Hell after Ichigo cut his mask. He returned in a {{filler}} episode.
----
* ArmCannon: Can fire explosive leeches from his arm wrappings as a Togabito.
* BlackCloak: Wears one as a Togabito.
* CameBackStrong: As a Togabito he retained the form and abilities he possessed as a Hollow but was significantly more powerful.
* ChainedByFashion: As a Togabito he is bound by the Chains of Hell.
* CombatCompliment: Believe it or not. When Shrieker was a Hollow, he complimented Chad for having "pretty good instincts" when he got socked by Chad twice, hit with a telephone pole, and almost punched a third time without Chad ever seeing him. The compliment was purely in his thoughts, but even Shrieker was able to realize that Chad was something special.
* DraggedOffToHell: After Ichigo cuts his mask he is grabbed by a Kushanada and dragged through the gates of Hell.
* EnemySummoner: Can create frog-like offshoots that spit exploding leeches.
* GiantFlyer: Looks like a massive bat.
* GlowingEyesOfDoom: Yellow, like most Hollows.
* ILied: What he says when Ichigo confronts him about being able to resurrect Yūichi's mother.
* {{Jerkass}}: Even for a Hollow, as rather than just eating Yūichi he killed him, [[CoolAndUnusualPunishment stuffed his ghost into a parakeet, using him to locate spiritually powerful people to eat]], all under the [[ILied false promise of resurrecting his mother]].
* KarmicDeath: Was accidentally killed by Yūichi Shibata, the son of his last victim.
* MadBomber: He has offshoots that spit leech-like living bombs.
* MakeMeWannaShout: His tongue-whistle, which detonates his explosive leeches.
* MeaningfulName: Shrieker, due to his tongue's whistle.
* OhCrap: When Chad uproots a telephone pole and swats him like a pinata, and when Ichigo gives him a TheReasonYouSuckSpeech and beats his face in with the sharp side of his Zanpakuto.
* OverlyLongTongue: That he uses as a whistle to trigger his bombs.
* SerialKiller: Was one before he died.
* TongueTrauma: Ichigo rips it out to keep him from using his bombs, but he grows it back as a Togabito.
* WeWillMeetAgain: Claimed as such after he came back as a Togabito and was sent back to Hell. But subverted as Shuren has him killed off screen.
* YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness: The tie-in episode reveals he was working with Shuren in hopes of escaping Hell and fighting Ichigo again, but he was only being used to test the ability for Togabito to foray outside of Hell and is disposed of shortly after he's sent back.[[/folder]]

* BerserkButton: Interfering in her torture sessions and resisting her control.
* BodyHorror: Her spores inflict this on the people they infect.
* CombatTentacles: Her body is lined by tentacles.
* DirtyCoward: Doesn't fight on her own, but instead has pawns fight for her.
* DisproportionateRetribution: Threatened to have Tatsuki raped for interfering with her assault on Orihime.
* ExpressiveMask: Unlike all other Hollows, her mask has flexible tentacles.
* GlowingEyesOfDoom: Yellow, like most Hollows.
* HalfTheManHeUsedToBe: Courtesy of Orihime's ''Koten Zanshun'' technique.
* MindControlDevice: Fires parasitic spores that allow her to control those infected.
* PowerPerversionPotential: Intended to have Tatsuki raped by the mind-controlled boys and commit suicide as punishment for stopping her from killing Orihime.

[[folder:Metastacia]]
!!!'''Metastacia'''

A parasitic Hollow that took over Kaien Shiba and was killed by Rukia Kuchiki. It respawned in Hueco Mundo and was eaten by Aaroniero.
----
* ArtificialHuman: Was created by Aizen as part of his Hollowfication experiments.
* BodyHorror [=/=] TransformationOfThePossessed: As shown when he possessed Kaien, his host's skin turns green with red facial marks, black eyes and numerous tentacles sprouting from their body and mouth.
* CombatTentacles: Has numerous dark red tentacles growing out of his back that he can use to take over prey.
* EyeScream: His eyes too deepset for most panels to show the glowing eyes inside, but once he takes over Kaien, Kaien's eyes become empty sockets that only occasionally displaying the deepset glow. However, there's liquid all around the edges of Kaien's eyes, suggesting his own eyeballs exploded as the hollow took him over.
* FacialMarkings: Had red flame-like markings on his mask.
* FusionDance [=/=]GrandTheftMe: He is capable of taking over his victims' bodies and slowly eating them from the inside-out. This merged his and Kaien's bodies together, and as he stated it was impossible to separate two fused spirit bodies, they would be fused together forever until Metastacia finished eating him.
* MeaningfulName: Reminiscent of metastasis, cancer that grows and consumes its host from within and spreads to other areas of the body.
* MultiArmedAndDangerous: Has six arms.
* ResurrectiveImmortality: If killed, he will simply respawn in Hueco Mundo. Unfortunately for him, he was eaten and assimilated by Aaroniero.[[/folder]]

[[folder:Grand Fisher]]

A male Hollow resembling a chicken-footed hamster with an anglerfish-like lure. He killed Ichigo's mother.
----
* AlluringAnglerfish: His lure, which he can disguise as a human and hide himself within.
* {{BFS}}: Wields a zanpakuto the size of a small skyscraper as an Arrancar.
* BigBad: Was set up to be one, but subverted. Ichigo never even gets a re-match with him.
* ButForMeItWasTuesday: Doesn't remember killing Ichigo's mother as he has eaten so many people throughout the years.
* FacialMarkings: Comma-like marks under his mask's eye sockets, as well as on his actual face in Arrancar form.
* GlowingEyesOfDoom: Yellow, like all Hollows.
* HalfTheManHeUsedToBe: Is nearly cut in half by Ichigo. Later, Isshin easily bisects him.
* HealingFactor: Is capable of High-Speed Regeneration, regrowing an arm that Ichigo sliced off.
* HornedHumanoid: Has two horns in his Resurreccion.
* ItsPersonal: He killed Ichigo's mother, and then later attacked Kon as payback for his defeat at Ichigo's hands.
* MindProbe: His claws enable him to read the memories of his victims to find a person they cannot attack.
* MuggingTheMonster: Isshin remarks that [[spoiler: Masaki would have been able to CurbStompBattle Grand Fisher with little effort had Yhwach not stolen her powers.]]
* OneWingedAngel: After being converted into an Arrancar he can assume a much more massive, horned form.
* PowerEchoes: As an Arrancar his voice is distorted.
* PrehensileHair: Can use his fur to restrain prey.
* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: Gives one to Ichigo, only to get it turned around on him.
* RetractableWeapon: His ridiculously long claws.
* RubberMan: Can stretch his arms to attack from a distance.
* ShapeshifterGuiltTrip: What he uses to prevent enemies from attacking him. Unfortunately, he hits Ichigo's RelativeButton on the head.
* VoluntaryShapeshifting: He can change the appearance of his lure, which combined with his mind reading abilities is what enabled him to kill numerous Soul Reapers.
* YouKilledMyMother: The killer of Ichigo's mother, Masaki. [[spoiler: Masaki could have curb-stomped him, but her powers were stolen by Yhwach while she was fighting Grand Fisher, allowing Grand Fisher to win a fight he should have lost.]][[/folder]]

The end result of Ichigo's full [[SuperPoweredEvilSide Hollowfication]].
----
* AlternateIdentityAmnesia: While during his first Hollowfication Ichigo bickers with and wrests control of his body back from his Inner Hollow, he blacks out during subsequent Hollowfications and doesn't remember what happens while he is transformed, most notably during his fight with Ulquiorra.
* AnthropomorphicShift: His first form resembles a bipedal lizard with SpikesOfVillainy, while his second form is completely humanoid with a horned helmet. It's interesting to note that in ''Hell Chapter'' an intermediary form appears during Ichigo's final confrontation with [[spoiler: Kokuto]], possessing the horned mask and fur tufts of the second form and the shoulder spines and arm markings of the first.
* AttackItsWeakPoint: Ichigo can restore his sanity by either ripping the mask off before his transformation progresses or winning his BattleInTheCenterOfTheMind with his [[AnthropomorphicPersonification "Inner Hollow"]], his second form was defeated by Ulquiorra slicing off his horn while he was charging a Cero, causing said Cero to implode in his face and shatter the mask. This was [[{{Flanderization}} flanderized]] in the ''Hell Chapter'' movie when [[spoiler: Ichigo stopped his Hollowfication by simply snapping a horn off himself through sheer force of will.]]
* BarbarianLonghair[=/=]PowerMakesYourHairGrow: Both of Ichigo's Hollow forms have long, unkempt hair down past his hips.
* BattleInTheCenterOfTheMind: During the Visored training, Ichigo fights the personification of his Hollowfication for control of his body.
* BeamOWar: When he engages in one with Ulquiorra, his normal Cero ''completely'' overpowers Ulquiorra's Cero Oscuras several times. In the filler, his first form engages in one with Old Man Zangetsu's Getsuga Tensho, which he easily overpowers as well.
* TheBerserker: Attacks without regard to his safety and regenerates whatever damage he does take, if he takes any at all.
* BlackEyesOfCrazy: Whenever he begins to Hollowfy, Ichigo's eyes turn black with yellow irises and HellishPupils, but beneath the mask they become GlowingEyesOfDoom, though they aren't usually visible in his second form.
* ChestBurster: His first form had the ability to expel a massive worm-like appendage from deep wounds that would attempt to devour his opponent.
* TheCorruption: Is the end result of Ichigo's Hollowfication destroying his mind and corrupting his heart.
* CurbStompBattle: The power-boost Ichigo gains from Hollowfying is more than enough to easily trash his opponents, as Byakuya, the Visored, and Ulquiorra can attest.
* DeclarationOfProtection: After Ceroing [[spoiler: Ulquiorra]] in half and impaling [[spoiler: Uryuu]] on Tensa Zangetsu, he turns to Orihime and says "'''I will protect you.'''" She's the only one present he doesn't directly attack.
* FacialMarkings: His first form's mask had a series of red/black strips on its left side, with their number and thickness slowly increasing as Ichigo's Inner Hollow became more powerful. His second form's mask had four black stripes, two of which extended down past his eye sockets and mouth.
* FingerGun: His first form fired his Cero from either his fingertips or [[HandBlast palm]].
* GrievousHarmWithABody: Rips off one of Ulquiorra's arms and tries to impale him with it.
* HealingFactor: Capable of High-Speed Regeneration, an ability normally limited to Menos-class Hollows.
* HornedHumanoid: The mask of Ichigo's second Hollow form sports a pair of forward-facing horns [[spoiler: nearly identical to White's]].
* KamehameHadoken[=/=]WaveMotionGun: His Cero, which in his second form is so powerful it can burn through the Togabito chains, all five levels of Hell, and the Gates of Hell in one blow.
* LightningBruiser: Is vastly faster and stronger than Ulquiorra's Segunda Etapa form, and has yet to be defeated in a fight in the manga.
* MaskOfPower: Ichigo's Hollowfications began with his sclera turning black and his mask starting to form on the left side of his face, with the rest of his body eventually transforming as well. It's notable that the right side of his first form's mask was incomplete, possibly symbolizing Ichigo's continued struggle to regain control of his body.
* MightyRoar: His response to Ulquiorra asking who he was.
* OffModel: The number and shape of his first form's teeth and toes vary in the anime. The angle of his second form's horns seems to vary from scene to scene as well.
* OneWingedAngel: Functions as a [[EmergencyTransformation fail-safe transformation]] for Ichigo whenever he's losing badly or in danger of dying.
* PartialTransformation: Ichigo's first few Hollowfications only progressed as far as roughly ½ to ⅔ of his mask forming on the left side of his face before being suppressed, and it isn't until the Visored Training arc that he's able to fully transform.
* PassionIsEvil: Using his Hollow mask draws out Ichigo's lust for power and battle to the point of eroding his sanity.
* PowerAtAPrice: When fully Hollowfied, Ichigo is more-than strong enough to curb-stomp Byakuya, the Visoreds (who are all Hollowfied ex-lieutenant and captains), and Ulquiorra [[spoiler: in his second Resurreccion]], but at the price of becoming a near-mindless Hollow.
* PowerEchoes[=/=]VoiceOfTheLegion: His voice is distorted by a warbling growl.
* PowerFloats: In the games where he is playable he levitates instead of walking.
* PowerIncontinence: It was initially believed that Ichigo's inability to control his Inner Hollow and the power it embodies was what was causing him to transform. The Visored prescribed crushing the Inner Hollow into the depths of his soul, enabling Ichigo to use his Hollow form's mask as a power-up without fear of being taken over, but it only works for a short while.
* RedAndBlackAndEvilAllOver: In the anime his reiatsu is black with a red outline, and is stated to have a heavier, more sinister feeling than Ichigo's normal reiatsu.
* RoarBeforeBeating: His response to Ulquiorra asking who he is was to let out a spine-chilling roar and CurbStompBattle him.
* ScreamingWarrior: His fight against the Visored and against Old Man Zangetsu in a filler arc consisted entirely of him snarling and shrieking while hacking away at his opponent.
* ShockwaveClap: His second form's slashes with Tensa Zangetsu created shockwaves powerful enough to demolish huge chunks of Las Noches' dome.
* SingleStrokeBattle: In the opening scene of the ''Hell Chapter'' movie, Hollow Ichigo and Ulquiorra lunge at each other in this fashion, but all that happens is SwordSparks from Ulquiorra's talons glancing off Tensa Zangetsu.
* SlasherSmile: Sports one beneath his mask while fighting Byakuya, Hiyori, the Visored, and Old Man Zangetsu.
* SplitPersonalityTakeover[=/=]TransformationOfThePossessed: It was initially stated that Ichigo's transformations were a result of his [[SuperPoweredEvilSide Inner Hollow]] attempting to seize control of his body, [[spoiler: and while he learns the Inner Hollow is the result of the artificial Hollow White [[MergerOfSouls integrating its soul into his own]], he ultimately acknowledges it as being [[TwoSidesOfTheSameCoin a part of himself]] rather than a [[EnemyWithin separate entity]].]]
* StrongFamilyResemblance: Given a broad definition of family, [[spoiler:Hollow Ichigo's second form bears a strong resemblance to White, the artificial Hollow whose [[MergerOfSouls soul forms the basis of Ichigo's Hollow powers]].]]
* SummonToHand: His second form uses an ability called Chain to psychokinetically retrieve Tensa Zangetsu.
* SuperSpeed: His [[FlashStep Sonido]] is fast enough to catch Ulquiorra off guard.
* SuperpoweredEvilSide: As a Hollow, Ichigo cannot distinguish friend from foe and will attack anything that gets his attention.
* SwordBeam: First used the black Getsuga Tensho against Byakuya, though when fully transformed he relies on Ceros.
* TeleportSpam: His liberal use of Sonido during his fight with Ulquiorra amounted to this.
* TorsoWithAView: His Hollow Hole is located in his sternum.
* TwoFaced: Three of Ichigo's five Hollowfication incidents - specifically during his battles with Byakuya, Hiyori, and the Visored - began when his mask formed on the left side of his face. In addition, his first form only had markings on the left side of his mask.
* UnstoppableRage[=/=]RoaringRampageOfRevenge: Why Ichigo transformed in ''Hell Chapter'' after seeing [[spoiler: Yuzu]] had died.
* WaveMotionTuningFork: His second form charges and fires his Cero from between his horns
* WipeTheFloorWithYou: Does this to Hiyori when she pushes Ichigo too far, almost choking her to death, and later to Ulquiorra.
* TheWorfEffect: His first form got his tail handed to him by Ōko Yushima.[[/folder]]

!!!'''White'''
[[quoteright:300:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/white_hollow_7446.png]]

A powerful humanoid Hollow similar in appearance to Ichigo's second Hollow form. It was a fully Hollowfied Soul Reaper, similar to the Visored, and a prototype to the Arrancar. It fought Isshin years ago in the Human world, and was one of the reasons for his retirement. Despite its name, it is entirely black except for its mask and hair.
----
* ArtificialHuman: It was an artificial Hollow created by Aizen as part of his Hollowfication experiments.
* BattleInTheRain: Invokes this by only coming out to hunt during thunderstorms.
* BladeBelowTheShoulder: Has two sword-like appendages in place of lower arms and hands.
* TheCorruption: His Target Hollowfication enables him to transfer his soul into a target that he bites, causing said host to lose their heart and Hollowfy. [[spoiler: Upon Ichigo's conception, White's soul is transferred to him and becomes his [[SuperPoweredEvilSide Inner Hollow]] and Zanpakuto spirit.]]
* CurbStompBattle: It put Isshin on the defensive despite him activating his Shikai, and even [[CurbStompCushion after he cut off one of its arms]] would have killed him had Masaki not intervened.
* EarlyBirdCameo: Not necessarily an appearance per sae, but after killing Grand Fisher Isshin mentioned to Uruhara that he had fought a prototype Arrancar shortly before retiring.
* EnemyWithin: Infected Masaki's soul with his own and tried to take over her before being suppressed by Isshin and Urahara. [[spoiler:As Ichigo's Inner Hollow, he is initially this to him as well.]]
* EvilCounterpart: Whether by accident or on purpose, [[spoiler:White's soul, when transferred to Ichigo, functioned like a parasitic Asauchi and fused with his Soul Reaper powers due to White being created in more-or-less the same fashion as one. The fact that it's a fully Hollowfied Soul Reaper makes it one to the Visored as well.]]
* HornedHumanoid: Has a pair of long, forward-pointing horns protruding from the sides of its head. They look almost exactly like the horns on Ichigo's second Hollow form, [[spoiler:which originated from White itself]].
* HugeHolographicHead: How it manifests in Masaki's Inner World.
* IronicName: His name is White, but his body was covered in jet-black armor. Aizen even addresses it.
* KamehameHadoken: Can fire a Cero from between his horns.
* LightningBruiser: Was fast and strong enough to put Isshin - who's been shown to be capable of giving ''Aizen'' a good fight - on the defensive even with one arm.
* MergerOfSouls: Infects Masaki with its soul and reiatsu, causing her to begin to Hollowfy, but is suppressed and transferred to Ichigo. [[spoiler:It fuses with Ichigo's Soul Reaper powers and becomes his Zanpakuto Spirit/Inner Hollow, Zangetsu.]]
* NoPlansNoPrototypeNoBackup: Was an experimental prototype for fully Hollowfying Soul Reapers, but was more advanced than anticipated. [[spoiler:To Tosen's chagrin it was destroyed by a Quincy, leading him to dismiss it as a failure that didn't Hollowfy a Soul Reaper as planned. On the other hand, Aizen was fascinated by this turn of events and wanted to understand more about the consequences of this event.]]
* PsychoPrototype: White was a humanoid Hollow created from a Soul Reaper, making it the first creature to ever resemble both Arrancar ''and'' Visored. [[spoiler: Tosen]] dismisses him as a FlawedPrototype due to his inability to [[spoiler: defeat a Captain who was only using Shikai.]]
* SelfDestructMechanism: Underwent Soul Suicide after being shot through the head by Masaki, nearly taking her with him in the resulting explosion.
* ShouldersOfDoom: Its shoulder armor is quite bulky.
* SinisterSilhouettes: It was first shown as a silhouette shrouded in an approaching thunderstorm.
* RoarBeforeBeating: As a callback to Hollow Ichigo vs, Ulquiorra, when Isshin asks White what it is, its response is to roar at him and kick his ass.
* TorsoWithAView: Notably averted. While White had a Hollow hole, it was completely filled by a white veiny substance indicated to be the source of its Target Hollowfication ability.
* TotallyNotAWerewolf: Of the "being mistaken for other monsters" subtype: Isshin initially assumes White is a Vasto Lorde, but notes that it feels like he's fighting a Soul Reaper when crossing blades with it and when it breaks from their fight to [[NoKillLikeOverkill incinerate a low-ranking Soul Reaper with a Cero]] he remarks "What the hell... That's not a Hollow... That's not how a Menos fights...!!"
* TheVirus: Its Target Hollowfication enabled White to transfer its soul into another soul through a bite, causing them to Hollowfy. [[spoiler:It was intended to target Soul Reapers, but Aizen is fascinated that it chose a Quincy instead.]]
* WaveMotionTuningFork: Charges and fires its Cero between its horns.
* YourHeadAsplode: Masaki shoots him point blank in the head after luring him in.[[/folder]]
