%%* ''VideoGame/AlphaProtocol'': Mina Tang and Scarlett Lake.
* ''Franchise/BaldursGate'':
** ''VideoGame/BaldursGateII'': If one has two or more of the female love interests in the party, ''multiple'' Betty and Veronica scenarios can exist. Sweet, innocent Aerie is definitely the most Betty-ish, with no-nonsense old friend but world-wise warrior Jaheira being somewhere between the two, and darkly exotic rogue drow Viconia being firmly a Veronica. (Alternatively, with all three--and it is possible to start a romance with all three, though obviously not finish it that way--one might be said to have a Betty, Veronica, and [[ThirdOptionLoveInterest Cheryl]] situation, except there are no three-way fights over you, just two-way.) The Enhanced Edition of the game adds the awkward, goofy Neera. Definitely a Betty, but less so than Aerie.
** ''VideoGame/BaldursGateIII'' has Shadowheart and Lae'zel, the former being a kindhearted half-elf Cleric (albeit for a ReligionOfEvil), and the latter being a DefrostingIceQueen [[ScaryDogmaticAliens githyanki]] Fighter. Karlach, a big-hearted {{Ladette}}, is an alternate Betty. For male romance options, Gale is an equally kindhearted, [[AwesomeEgo somewhat cocky, but genuinely very talented wizard]] who enjoys poetry, cats, cooking, and romantic gestures; he contrasts with Astarion, a roguish, promiscuous, and very sexual vampire elf.
* ''VideoGame/TheBastardOfKosigan'' doesn't actually have any long-term relationships set out yet, but from implications in text Jehanne of Albret might play Betty to Alexandra de Velan's Veronica (slightly humorous, as Alexandra is actually your character's childhood lover). It remains moot as [[spoiler:Alexandra dies either if you kill her at the end of the second module or, if you don't, she dies in a cutscene at the end of the fourth, both events coming before Jehanne has any on-screen time]].
* ''VideoGame/BlazBlue'' has an unresolved ShipTease triangle with [[TallDarkAndSnarky Jin]] [[SociopathicHero Kisaragi]] (the Archie) and his two [[MoralityPet Morality Pets]], Tsubaki Yayoi (the Betty) and Makoto Nanaya (the Veronica). They're [[RedOniBlueOni complete opposites]] in every respect: Tsubaki is the daughter of nobility, Makoto is from a large working-class family; Tsubaki [[TokenWholesome dresses modestly]], Makoto [[{{Stripperiffic}} doesn't]]; Tsubaki was an honour-student, Makoto is [[BookDumb somewhat]] [[IdiotHero dim]]; Tsubaki is [[TheStoic quiet and reserved]], Makoto is [[HotBlooded loud and impulsive]]; Tsubaki is a human with red hair and blue eyes, Makoto is a [[CuteMonsterGirl Squirrel]] [[LittleBitBeastly Beastkin]] with chestnut brown hair and eyes to match; Tsubaki fights with a short sword and [[LuckilyMyShieldWillProtectMe shield]] combo and fights with [[LadyOfWar grace and elegance]], Makoto fights with tonfas and relies on [[LightningBruiser brute strength, speed]] and [[CombatPragmatist trickery]]. In a subversion of the usual formula, [[spoiler:the Veronica is actually ''nicer'' than the Betty; while not an ultra villain Tsubaki is a ClingyJealousGirl who ends up falling into LoveMakesYouEvil territory, while Makoto is one of the few genuinely good people in the otherwise mostly BlackAndGrayMorality ''VideoGame/BlazBlue'']]. This extends into their present-day story interactions with Jin, as well - Tsubaki [[spoiler:takes on an order to "bring him in" (read: ''kill Jin'', but she doesn't know that), and fights him in his story and hers]], while Makoto [[spoiler:watches over him in Ronin-gai after he sustains injuries guarding her from Hazama (his story) or overextends himself getting her to safety after she fights Hazama (her story).]] Another typically-unseen take on this trope is that Makoto actually {{ship|perOnDeck}}s Jin with Tsubaki.
%%* In ''VideoGame/BreathOfFireII'', there's Ryu's two love interests: Nina (Betty) and Katt (Veronica).
* ''VideoGame/{{Bully}}'' has couple of these: nerdy Beatrice (Betty) and [[AlphaBitch Mandy]] (Veronica), [[RichBitch Pinky]] (Betty) and [[FilleFatale Lola]] (Veronica). That is until [[ThirdOptionLoveInterest Zoe]] comes to the picture.
* ''VideoGame/{{Catherine}}'' has Katherine (note the "K") as the Betty, and Catherine (note the "C") as the Veronica. Katherine is an IceQueen who Vincent hit it off with after meeting her at a high-school reunion, while Catherine is a young, [[{{Yandere}} slightly crazy]] and metaphorical MagicalGirlfriend, [[spoiler:eventually revealed to be ''[[SuccubiAndIncubi literal]]'']]. ''[[UpdatedRerelease Catherine: Full Body]]'' plays with the concept. First, it added a new love interest, Qatherine who is a straighter example of a Betty than Katherine, [[spoiler: until the reveal that she's a space alien, and [[GayOption male]]]]. Meanwhile, both Katherine and Catherine get new endings where they [[BettyAndVeronicaSwitch trade places]]; [[spoiler: Katherine becomes a model and ditches Vincent, while Catherine gives up her life as a succubus to become a normal wife to Vincent and raise a family.]]
* ''VideoGame/Cyberpunk2077'': Rogue and Alt act as Betty and Veronica respectively for Johnny Silverhand. Rogue was the more stable and reliable relationship in Johnny's life and more similar to him in terms of lifestyle and philosophy, while Alt and Johnny engaged in TheMasochismTango with her calling him out on his behavior more harshly and challenging him at every turn. She was a glamorous, [[TheCracker corporate netrunner]] who didn't really believe in changing the world. In other words, everything the WellIntentionedExtremist Johnny was not, which was precisely why he fell for her so hard. Fittingly, Johnny [[TheLostLenore loses her for good]], whereas the more familiar Rogue is still alive 50 years later.
* In ''VideoGame/DarkMessiah'', Sareth is presented with a choice between Leanna as the Betty and Xana as the Veronica. Ironically, while both of them make blatant demands of Sareth (with Leanna/Betty continually asking Sareth to do the majority of the work involved in saving the day, while Xana/Veronica [[spoiler: is a succubus who makes no attempt to hide her intentions of pushing Sareth into becoming a powerful overlord and being his sexy concubine]]), it's the Betty who pushes things over the edge, depending on the player's choices. At the start of the final level, if [[spoiler: Sareth saved Leanna's life and refused to exorcise Xana in the church, then Leanna accuses him of betraying them and attacks him. Most players take a good deal of satisfaction in killing her at that point.]]
* All over the place in ''VideoGame/DeadInVinland'', where your entire party is basically a LoveDodecahedron if you have the DLC.
** For Eirik: Blodeuwedd, his kind, level-headed wife of many years and mother of his child, is the Betty, and the younger, sexier [[WorldsMostBeautifulWoman Parvaneh]], a professional dancer with an AlphaBitch-like personality, is Veronica.
** For Blodeuwedd: Eirik, her quiet, gentle husband, is the Betty, whereas the roguish, obviously untrustworthy, and also younger HandsomeLech Eustache is Veronica.
** For their daughter Kari: sweet, idealistic, devoutly religious Angelico is Betty, [[BisexualLoveTriangle while]] surly, mysterious Shanaw is Veronica.
** For Moira: peace-loving, scholarly musician and storyteller Cisse is Betty, while Yaghoub, who is almost as obviously untrustworthy as Eustache [[spoiler: and turns out to be a ProfessionalKiller hired to kill Eirik who ends up having second thoughts]], is Veronica.
** For Cisse: [[spoiler: kind, motherly Solveig is his Betty]]; Moira, being a DeadpanSnarker and HotWitch who ReallyGetsAround, is Veronica.
** For Solveig: unusually, she's already married to her Veronica, the angry and embittered Viking warrior Knut, but [[spoiler: if she leaves him because of his DomesticAbuse, she can end up with Cisse as her Betty instead]].
** At least one of these is a MASSIVE case of BettyAndVeronicaSwitch: [[spoiler: later in the game, after the mysterious murder of another party member, it's discovered that Angelico is the culprit... and that he's killed numerous other people in either a dissociative state or some kind of DemonicPossession. Poor Kari.]]
* ''Franchise/DragonAge'':
** ''VideoGame/DragonAgeOrigins'':
*** The game gives a (straight) male character two choices for a romantic plot: sweet pious bard Leliana who wants you to help anybody in trouble, and dark sexily-dressed witch Morrigan who is nauseated if you waste time on such peasants. [[spoiler: As the game progresses you might discover things are not as simple as that- Leliana has a dark, most Veronica-ish past whereas Morrigan becomes a DefrostingIceQueen.]]
*** Straight females may choose the chivalrous (albeit a [[IdiotHero bit childish]]) joker Alistair, or the cynical but pleasant Zevran.
*** A {{bisexual|lovetriangle}} character's choices can throw out the Betty-Veronica dynamic. A bisexual female may be between two Bettys, Alistair and Leliana, or set up a Veronica through Zevran. A bisexual male may be between two Veronicas through Morrigan and Zevran. And Isabela (see below) adds a throwaway quickie Veronica for characters of either gender -- which can involve half the party depending on what the player has done.
** In ''VideoGame/DragonAgeII'' this trope applies to the two female characters who can be romanced; Merrill and Isabela. Merrill is sweet, innocent, and rather naive, while Isabela is an exotic, voluptuous, sexually promiscuous pirate queen. Both of the male romance options in the vanilla game, Anders and Fenris, are brooding, TroubledButCute Veronica types, whereas chaste, devoutly religious DLC-only Sebastian is decidedly Betty. (He can also only be romanced by a female Hawke, unlike any of the other four romance options.)
*** Anders and Fenris actually pull a [[BettyAndVeronicaSwitch Betty and Veronica switch]]: Anders starts out as a blond, kindhearted healer and cat lover while Fenris is surly, aloof, sarcastic and hot-tempered. By the end of the game, however, Fenris has noticeably thawed out and is arguably one of the most stable romance options post-game -- Isabela still lives the life of a pirate, Merrill may have potentially [[spoiler:lost her entire clan]] and Anders... well, Anders takes a deep dive into Veronica territory by [[spoiler:blowing up the Kirkwall Chantry and becoming a fugitive from the rest of Thedas]].
*** Merrill versus Sebastian is harder to figure out, but as Sebastian is a pious, honorable human prince and Merrill, although good, is an elven outcast who practices forbidden blood magic, Merrill seems to be more of the Veronica. However, Sebastian was a Veronica in his youth and he does have a dark, vengeful, and arguably power-hungry side.
** ''VideoGame/DragonAgeInquisition'': Most orientations get two romance options who exhibit this dynamic, the exceptions being bisexuals (who get almost everyone) and straight females (who have two potential extra choices, depending on their race).
*** For gays: [[DefectorFromDecadence Dorian]] is the Betty, being nice, idealistic, and surprisingly insecure, while Iron Bull is the Veronica, being boisterous, violent, and hedonistic.
*** For lesbians: The ProperLady and diplomat [[SilkHidingSteel Josephine]] is easily Betty, while the more rough-and-tumble, StreetSmart [[TheLadette Sera]] is Veronica.
*** For straight males: Josephine is again Betty, while the blunt, {{Tsundere}} [[ReligiousBruiser Cassandra]] is Veronica.
*** Straight females are where things get difficult. [[KnightInShiningArmor Blackwall]] is a Betty [[spoiler:with a dark, Veronica-ish past]] and Iron Bull again Veronica. Female humans and elves get another Betty with [[EndearinglyDorky Cullen]], and female elves alone get [[ConstantlyCurious Solas]], who is also a Betty [[spoiler:at first sight, but is really ''very'' Veronica, being ''the elven god of liars in elven form'']].
* ''VideoGame/DragonQuestV'': Remakes did this when the player has to choose between three women to marry. The Betty and Veronica in this situation is sweet childhood friend Bianca and tsundere rich brat Deborah respectively (remakes, because Deborah was not in the original). In the original, Nera was the Veronica but Debora has a more Veronica personality, putting Nera somewhere in the middle.
* ''VideoGame/ExaPico'' series:
** ''VideoGame/ArTonelicoMelodyOfElemia'': The twin token LoveInterest Aurica is sweet and quiet, while Misha is easy-going, cheerful, and has [[FountainOfYouth an exotic problem with her body.]]
** ''VideoGame/ArTonelicoIIMelodyOfMetafalica'' has a local dive therapist Luca as Betty and the lady knight princess Cloche as Veronica. But after the series of [[CharacterDevelopment Character Developments]] their traits, personality wise, can be swapped.
** ''VideoGame/ArTonelicoQogaKnellOfArCiel'' play this straighter. Saki is very {{Moe}}, while Finnel is a {{Tsundere}} and [[TomBoy tomboyish]] club mascot who spends some times at the beginning trying to get close to the protagonist's best friend for a McGuffin.
* ''VisualNovel/FadingHearts'': Ryou is stuck in a LoveTriangle between Rina (Betty) who loves him and Claire (Veronica) who he loves. The girls' personalities and hair colours parallel those of the ComicBook/ArchieComics characters.
* ''VideoGame/FalloutNewVegas'' has the two female, non-prostitute {{Optional Sexual Encounter}}s (for a [[PlayerCharacter Courier]] of either gender) Sarah Weintraub and Red Lucy. Sarah is a sunny, cheerful blonde who manages a themed hotel from her old Vault and takes a fancy to you if you bring her enough Vault Jumpsuits. Lucy is a bloodthirsty redhead who runs a bloodsports arena and whose pants you can get into by going out and killing dangerous creatures. The ''Old World Blues'' expansion has the two [[ArtificialIntelligence Automated Personality]] ''light switches'' in [[PlayerHeadquarters The Sink]] who are in a bitter rivalry for [[PlayerCharacter the Courier's]] attention. Light Switch 01 in the bedroom is the seductive Veronica while Light Switch 02 in the living room is the seemingly friendly Betty.
* ''VideoGame/FarCry3'': Jason Brody has to choose between Liza (Betty) and Citra (Veronica). Liza is Jason's girlfriend who wants him to get off the Rook Islands, stop killing people, and maybe settle down and get a steady job. Citra is a jungle princess who wants Jason to stay on the Rook Islands and become a true warrior. Liza is modestly dressed. Citra wears a leather mini skirt/crop-top combo at most.
* ''Franchise/FinalFantasy'':
** Gender-flipped example in ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyIV'': Rosa has two love interests who are both childhood friends to her, [[NiceGuy Cecil]] and [[TallDarkandSnarky Kain]]. [[SingleWomanSeeksGoodMan Rosa chooses Cecil]], [[HappilyMarried marries him]] and [[BabiesEverAfter they have a boy named Ceodore]].
** ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyVII'' plays around with this: Cloud Strife has two potential love interests, Tifa Lockhart and Aerith Gainsborough, but both girls possess traits of both the "Betty" and "Veronica" archetypes. Tifa is literally Cloud's GirlNextDoor [[ChildhoodFriendRomance Childhood Friend]] and has a sweet and caring personality, but she's also a bartender, and martial artist. Aerith is a WhiteMagicianGirl and flower girl with a connection to the planet, but she's also flirty, streetwise, strong-willed, and [[DeadpanSnarker snarky]]. And unlike many other examples, the two girls become fast friends once they meet and get along quite well. [[spoiler:Unfortunately, [[BigBad Sephiroth]] puts an end to the triangle when he [[DeathOfTheHypotenuse kills Aerith]], leaving Cloud and Tifa to get together shortly before the final battle. It's also revealed that Cloud was unconsciously imitating his dead best friend Zack, who was Aerith's first boyfriend, making her case an example of LovingAShadow.]]
* ''Franchise/FireEmblem'':
** ''VideoGame/FireEmblemGenealogyOfTheHolyWar'':
*** The "main" LoveTriangle of sorts has [[spoiler: Deirdre]] as the Archie, with the kind and knightly [[spoiler: Sigurd]] as Betty and the deeply troubled [[spoiler: Arvis]] as Veronica. [[spoiler: It ends '''horribly''', when Arvis '''kills''' Sigurd before decimating his army. Furthermore, Deirdre is Arvis' ''half-sister'', and [[SurpriseIncest he doesn't find out until long after he's already married her.]]]] At the same time, Prince Lewyn had his own Betty And Veronica in Erinys (serious LadyOfWar whom he knows since childhood) and Silvia (sexy dancer who's been travelling with him lately) -- you can choose whom he picks as his girlfriend/wife, alongside Princess Tailtiu as a ThirdOptionLoveInterest. ''VideoGame/FireEmblemThracia776'' canonizes him hooking up with Erinys.
*** 17 years later, the second lead Seliph has the ProperLady Lana and the ActionGirl Larcei as this. In a subversion, ''both'' of them are his childhood friends.
*** ''Larcei'' has a similar predicament, too. Two Isaacsian noblemen, the brothers Iuchar and Iucharba, have the hots for her: Iuchar is the Betty due to his PurpleProse-laden speech patterns and ultra-chivalrous view of their bond, while the hotheaded JerkWithAHeartOfGold Iucharba is the Veronica.
*** And ''then'', there's Princess Lachesis. Out of all her potential suitors (not counting [[BigBrotherAttraction Eldigan]], that is), Beowolf is a cynical PunchClockHero Veronica and Finn is a KnightInShiningArmor Betty. ''Both'' of them might have won and then lost in ''Thracia'': it's all but stated that Lachesis's eldest son Diarmuid is Beo's kid, while her youngest daughter Nanna is Finn's, though Lachesis herself is missing in action.
*** It's hinted that [[spoiler: Sigurd's sister Ethlyn]] ''might'' have been the Archie at some moment, with [[spoiler: Duke Quan]] as the Betty (and the canon winner) and [[spoiler: King Travant]] as the Veronica. [[spoiler: It doesn't matter in the end: Travant, despite whatever he thought of Ethlyn, ''kills them both''.]]
** ''VideoGame/FireEmblemTheBlazingBlade'':
*** Main character Eliwood has his choice of suitors from Lyn (Betty), whom he's known a year, [[MysteriousWaif Ninian]] (Veronica), a girl he saved once but never saw again until his story starts, and [[SugarAndIcePersonality Fiora]] (ThirdOptionLoveInterest), who joins the last and latest.
*** His buddy Hector has this too. His choices are [[ShrinkingViolet Florina]] (Betty), [[BelligerentSexualTension Lyn]] (this time Veronica), and [[MoneyFetish Farina]] (ThirdOptionLoveInterest).
** In ''VideoGame/FireEmblemTheSacredStones'':
*** Lead character Ephraim can choose between sweet, innocent, determined Tana or upbeat, cheerful, crazy (and rich!) L'Arachel. However, [[ThirdOptionLoveInterest don't forget that he can have an ending with]] [[{{Twincest}} his twin sister Eirika]] too.
*** Ephraim's sister Eirika actually plays this trope a bit more straight: her main options are Seth (the calm, collected and hunky bodyguard) or Innes (prince of another country whose personality and tongue are as sharp as his arrows -- though in a variation, ''Innes'' is the childhood friend) There are also two potential {{third option|LoveInterest}}s who ''in themselves'' fit here well too: Saleh (Betty) is a soft-spoken TallDarkAndHandsome HermitGuru sage, whereas Forde (Veronica) is a ChivalrousPervert {{Sleepyhead}} knight.
*** Either Innes or Tana can fall into this, too. Innes has Eirika as his Betty, with ActionGirl Vanessa as an odd mix of Betty (have known each other since childhood) and Veronica (is very coolheaded and near-unemotional in battle)... and L'Arachel as the ThirdOptionLoveInterest. Meanwhile, Tana can end up either with dependable and kindhearted childhood friend [[TheAce Ephraim]], or the also kind but very troubled (and sexy-looking) [[DefectorFromDecadence Cormag]].
*** To a smaller degree, Kyle can be in this predicament too. Syrene is the childhood friend LadyOfWar, while Lute is the LadyOfBlackMagic.
*** [[ChivalrousPervert Forde's]] two possible love interest mix aspects of the trope: Eirika is the Veronica status-wise (being a princess) while Vanessa is a knight just like him. On the other hand, Eirika is much nicer to him early on, while Vanessa is much more serious and harder to approach, even chiding him for sleeping on the battlefield.
*** And then we have [[spoiler: RebelPrince]] Joshua. Natasha, the ProperLady WhiteMagicianGirl, is the Betty; meanwhile, Marisa is the SugarAndIceGirl ActionGirl Veronica. And if Natasha is seen as the Archie, then Joshua becomes the Veronica while Seth is the Betty.
** Out of Chrom's two [[ImpliedLoveInterest Implied Love Interests]] in ''VideoGame/FireEmblemAwakening'', [[CuteClumsyGirl clumsy]], [[FriendToAllLivingThings animal-loving]] Sumia is the Betty, and the [[LaserGuidedAmnesia amnesiac]], [[MysteriousWaif mysterious]] [[PlayerCharacter Female Avatar]] is a Veronica [[BettyAndVeronicaSwitch with some]] [[TeamMom Betty traits]]. His ''other'' three love interests have this dynamic, too. Sully is a knight [[ChildhoodFriendRomance he grew up with]] and the Betty, sharp-tongued noblewoman Maribelle is the Veronica, and shy dancer Olivia is the ThirdOptionLoveInterest (taken up a notch in that she joins in the chapter ''he has to get married'' in, meaning she ''literally'' would marry him at the last minute).
** While there are never any LoveTriangle shenanigans going on, the "[[UndyingLoyalty neutral]]" characters of ''VideoGame/FireEmblemFates'' make this dynamic for each gendered version of Corrin.
*** Felicia would be Male Corrin's Betty, being the CuteClumsyGirl he grew up with, and Azura the Veronica, being the MysteriousWaif he feels oddly drawn to. FarmGirl Mozu would the ThirdOptionLoveInterest, as she's an optionally recruited character he has no story ties to.
*** In ''Birthright'' and ''Revelation'', Jakob would be Female Corrin's Betty, as like Felicia he also grew up with her, and Kaze the Veronica, being the [[MarriedToTheJob reclusive]] ninja of an enemy nation (though their personalities mix it up -- [[{{Tsundere}} Jakob]] is more Veronica, and [[NiceGuy Kaze]] is more Betty). Silas has shades of the Betty, being her ForgottenChildhoodFriend, but is ultimately the ThirdOptionLoveInterest, as he's the last one she "meets". ''Conquest'' switches Kaze and Silas's places as the Cheryl Blossom and Betty respectively, being that despite Kaze being introduced earlier, Silas has been around Corrin longer due to Kaze temporarily leaving the party. Shura can be a potential ThirdOptionLoveInterest too, as he joins the groups after Silas' recruitment in all paths.
* In ''VideoGame/GrandiaII'', Betty and Veronica are the ''[[EnemyWithin same person]]''. The Betty, Elena, is a priestess, while the Veronica, Millenia, is [[spoiler:a part of the evil god Valmar (his Wings to be exact), that's possessing Elena]]. The main character seems to be leaning towards Elena, though they don't really hook up. Also, [[spoiler:Millenia [[EnemyWithout separates from Elena near the end]]. [[AWizardDidIt Somehow]]. And keeps waiting for Ryudo, convinced that he will choose ''her'' over Elena.]]
* ''VideoGame/GrandTheftAutoIV'': Subverted where Niko has Michelle as Veronica, [[spoiler:she betrayed him when it turns out she is working for Liberty News]]. He can continue his relationship with Kate, the Betty. [[spoiler:That is until her death or refusal to be in Roman's wedding]].
** There's also Roman the Betty and Vlad the Veronica to Mallorie's Archie. [[spoiler:Until Niko murders Vlad]].
* ''VideoGame/{{Hades}}'': Thanatos and Megaera are this for Zagreus, though he doesn't have to choose ''[[{{Polyamory}} between]]'' them. Though [[{{Tsundere}} somewhat prickly]], Thanatos (Betty) is the [[UndyingLoyalty undyingly loyal]] {{Childhood Friend|Romance}} who, [[TheThreeCertaintiesInLife like his namesake and taxes]], Zagreus can always count on. Megaera (Veronica) is meanwhile Zagreus's {{dominatrix}} OldFlame tasked with killing him to prevent his escape. Their respective positions are best reflected in the audio of their {{Sexy Discretion Shot}}s -- Thanatos's is accompanied with tender laughter; Megaera's has a whip.
%%* ''VideoGame/{{inFAMOUS}}'': Played straight with Trish (Betty) and Sasha (Veronica) to Cole (Archie). [[spoiler:He loses them both with the former's death and the latter's capture by Kessler]].
%%* In ''VideoGame/{{inFAMOUS2}}'', we get another straight example with Kuo and Nix.
* ''VideoGame/JadeEmpire'':
** The player gets to choose between childhood friend Dawn Star (Betty) and [[spoiler:pampered princess Sun Lian]]/Silk Fox (Veronica). In an interesting twist, there is also a [[TakeAThirdOption third option]] where you can have them ''[[MarryThemAll both]]''.
** Female characters have the LovableRogue Sky, the more conventional option (Betty) or the lesbain choice Silk Fox (Veronica)
* ''Franchise/KingdomHearts'' features a gender-flipped example: Kairi has two love interests who are both childhood friends to her, [[NiceGuy Sora]] and [[TallDarkandSnarky Riku]]. [[SingleWomanSeeksGoodMan You know who wins pretty early in the series]].
* In ''VideoGame/KnightsOfTheOldRepublicIITheSithLords'', the Handmaiden Brianna (Betty) and Visas Marr (Veronica) fight over the male PC. [[spoiler:Things are complicated further by [[LoveMakesYouEvil Atris]] acting as a second Veronica.]]
** For the female Jedi Exile, there's Mical the Jedi Disciple (Betty) and Atton Rand (Veronica). [[spoiler:Also [[AbhorrentAdmirer Darth Sion again acting as a second Veronica]], and with the Restored Content GameMod he tries to murder Atton (not necessarily over the Exile but it's icing on the cake for him).]]
** With the [[DummiedOut Restored Content]] GameMod, they could have ''really'' fought over the PC, with a DarkSide Atton/Brianna [[MurderTheHypotenuse killing Mical/Visas in jealousy]]; as it is, he's still plenty jealous, though Mical mostly seems confused by it while Brianna and Visas basically fight a ColdWar over TheExile's affection.
* ''VideoGame/TheLegendOfHeroesTrailsThroughDaybreak'' has two girls that serve as the primary {{Love Interest}}s for protagonist Van Arkride: Agnes Claudel, his openly sweet assistant who shows a surprisingly mature and determined side underneath her normally demure personality, and Elaine Auclaire, his cool-headed {{Childhood Friend|Romance}} [[spoiler:and ex-girlfriend]] whose aloof nature occasionally gives way to an adorably immature side. Another way they differ is in their biggest obstacles towards winning Van's heart: Agnes's is in [[JustAKid how he largely doesn't see her as an equal]], while Elaine's is in how [[spoiler:he's not yet ready to open up about his issues with her.]]
* ''Franchise/TheLegendOfZelda'': In many games, Link has several cases of these, usually with Zelda as the Betty. The most obvious example is in ''VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaTwilightPrincess'', where Midna serves as the Veronica and Link's {{childhood friend|romance}} Ilia serves as the Betty, although the two never actually meet. That game also has a FunnyBackgroundEvent in the form of blonde Beth and dark-haired Luda fighting for the right to nurse an injured Colin back to health. In their case, however, Beth is kind of a {{Tsundere}} and thus much more of a Veronica to silent Luda's Betty.
** ''VideoGame/HyruleWarriors'' had Lana the excitable, optimistic sorceress as the Betty (who has a thing for Link, but never tells him) and the dark and [[MsFanservice sultry]] witch Cia (whose desire for Link is her entire motivation) as the Veronica. They turn out to be [[spoiler: two halves of the same person.]]
* ''VideoGame/LifeIsStrange'': Max has two possible love interests: the friendly, down-to-earth Warren who she's known for a while (the Betty), or the outgoing, adventurous Chloe who she's just reunited with (the Veronica). Depending on the player's choices, Max can date Warren, Chloe, neither or ''both'' at once.
* ''VideoGame/LufiaIIRiseOfTheSinistrals'' has an interesting variation, where the situation is set up as normal: Tia, the old friend with a crush on the hero as the Betty and Selan, the exotic and (somewhat) mysterious fighter as the Veronica. The variation being that [[spoiler:not only does Maxim ends up with Selan (the Veronica), it also occurs midway through the game]]
* ''Franchise/MassEffect'':
** The series allows the player to choose from empathic and scholarly Liara T'Soni (Betty) and spunky ActionGirl Ashley Williams (Veronica). These roles can justifiably be reversed when you consider that Ashley is a [[BadassNormal regular human]] and Liara belongs to an exotic race of [[PsychicPowers psychic aliens]] who reproduce by banging very nearly everything that moves. The two will eventually confront one another, and you, if you don't turn one of them down.
** ''VideoGame/MassEffect2'' has Kelly and Tali (Betty) vs. Miranda and Jack (Veronica) for males, and Jacob and Kelly (Betty) vs. Thane and Garrus (Veronica) for females. Similarly, Garrus is the Betty to Thane's Veronica. Since he's been Shepard's friend the longest by that point, it actually gives him a mix of Betty compared to normal-but-new Jacob and Kelly.
** In more of a broad series overview, [[NiceGuy Kaidan]] ('Betty') and [[CowboyCop Garrus]] ('Veronica') have this dynamic for female Shepards.
** ''VideoGame/MassEffectAndromeda'' has one Betty, one Veronica, and one third option for each gender and sexual orientation combination (other than if playing as a bisexual, in which case it gets increased to six) that seems to be between each side of this trope.
*** Straight male Ryders have Cora, Vetra, and Peebee. Cora is the Betty who, despite being trained by an asari military and having powerful biotic abilities, is a very straightforward second in command who has a lot of self doubts about herself and if romanced, wants to be swept under her feet. On the opposite end is Peebee as the Veronica, a hyperactive asari who often follows to the beat of her own drum and can go for a casual sexual relationship (although will respect your decision if you say you want it to have meaning first before you two do it) to a very romantic relationship that happens to have a lot of sex. Vetra rounds out both as the Cheryl Blossom who while isn't afraid of getting her hands dirty like a Veronica, would rather work things out rationally like a Betty and can spend time with her from mountain climbing and then having sex to cooking dinner (very badly).
*** Initially, the two gay male romance options, Gil and Reyes, had a very straightfoward Betty and Veronica dynamic for male Ryder. Gil is more laid back and friendly and develops a fairly traditional romance with Ryder if they begin a relationship, whereas Reyes is a dashing LovableRogue with a shady criminal past ([[spoiler:and present]]) who has a passionate, short-lived love affair with Ryder. In a series first, Ryder's male angaran squadmate Jaal was added as a bisexual romance option in a post-release patch, and he falls somewhere between the two (an exotic alien and initially aloof and distant but turns out to be a complete, head-over-heels in love sweetheart if romanced).
*** Straight female romance options also have Reyes and Jaal who are still in their same position in the Betty and Veronica dynamic. Replacing Gil is Liam who while a bit hotheaded for a typical Betty, is arguably the most well adjusted out of all the party members and loves helping people.
*** Finally, lesbian Ryders keep Vetra and Peebee but drops Cora in exchange for Suvi, who is a scientist that happens to be very religious as well, there's a bit of dorkiness if you happen to romance her, as if two people who are very shy are trying to romance each other.
* ''VideoGame/MegaManLegends'': Mega Man has Roll Caskett and Tron Bonne, the former being his ChildhoodFriend as they were raised together, while the latter is a {{Tsundere}} LovableRogue.
* ''VideoGame/MegaManStarForce'': Geo (Archie) has Luna (Veronica) the local class president, who is more interest in Geo as Mega Man, and Sonia (Betty) a teen pop singer who is very much interest in Geo himself.
* ''VideoGame/NeonWhite'': The cheery, fun-loving Neon Violet (Betty) is head over heels for Neon White, who has eyes for the serene, aloof FemmeFatale Neon Red (Veronica). In a twist on the trope, both girls are shockingly violent and sociopathic, with Violet being outright CuteAndPsycho.
* ''VideoGame/NeverwinterNights2'': If all of the content had made it into the final game, the hero would have had the reasonable, down-to-earth Elanee (Betty) vs. the greedy and somewhat flighty Neeshka (Veronica) for male characters; and the kind and honorable Casavir (Betty) vs. the SocialDarwinist-ic Bishop (Veronica) for female characters.
** ''VideoGame/NeverwinterNights: Hordes of the Underdark'' gives us the choice between technically dead paladin Aribeth (Betty) and exotic drow DefrostingIceQueen Nathyrra (Veronica) in the second/third chapters. Though they both could technically be either, given the fact that your character has been adventuring with Nathyrra for quite a long time by the time you meet Aribeth.
** The ''VideoGame/NeverwinterNights'' community module ''VideoGame/ADanceWithRogues'' gives us two Betty characters and two Veronica characters, along with a fifth who could be either. On the Betty side we have the honorable and compassionate Anden and the kind and friendly bisexual Pi; on the Veronica side we get the psychotic pervert Vico and the drow noble Rizzen who thinks you are his slave. Bran is difficult to qualify, being far more in the Betty camp when compared to Vico and Rizzen but having many more Veronica characteristics than Anden or Pia.
* ''VideoGame/OneChance'' has Pilgrim's wife who wishes he could spend the rest of his days home, and a coworker who wants him to go out drinking and later an affair. Regardless of the player's choice, [[spoiler:they both die by the end of the game anyway]].
* ''VideoGame/{{Overlord}}'':
** The first ''VideoGame/OverlordI'' game does this with Rose (Betty) and Velvet (Veronica). It's sort of irrelevant, because the one you don't pick [[YouCantThwartStageOne will betray you to set up the final battle]], and MarryThemAll is not an option.
** ''VideoGame/OverlordII'' does this with [[ChildhoodFriendRomance Kelda]] being the Betty, and [[GoldDigger Juno]] being the Veronica. Albeit both could be considered Veronica as Kelda happily joins [[EvilOverlord you]] and is pretty casual about killing. There's also a ThirdOptionLoveInterest [[spoiler:in the form of Queen Fay, who at that point is noticeably more Veronica than either, almost having evil as her defining personality trait]].
* ''Franchise/{{Persona}}'':
** ''VideoGame/{{Persona 2}}'':
*** ''Innocent Sin'' has our protagonist Tatsuya (Archie) pick between Lisa (Betty), his fellow schoolmate who has a ''very'' obvious crush on him, and Maya (Veronica), a cheerful teen magazine reporter. However, this game also has a [[GayOption gay]] ThirdOptionLoveInterest in Jun. [[YaoiFangirl Guess which one the fangirls go for?]] Meanwhile, male gamers tend to lean towards Maya.
*** Lisa and Maya's Betty and Veronica-ness is pretty subtly blended between them -- the Lisa/Betty, Maya/Veronica dynamic only stands firm at first glance. Lisa is somewhat exotic to her Japanese peers, being of European descent, wealthy (look at her family's house!), and comes off as [[LovableAlphaBitch a bit haughty]], playing up her Veronica-ness. Maya, on the other hand, is genuinely kind and supportive, of modest means, and though far from a YamatoNadeshiko is still the more quintessentially Japanese of the two insofar as what's considered "desirable" in a love interest.
*** Then in ''Eternal Punishment'', when Maya becomes the protagonist, she also becomes a gender-inverted Archie on her own, with the [[SiblingTriangle Suou brothers]] as the love interests. The older brother Katsuya, being closer in age to Maya, [[TheComicallySerious earnest to a fault]], and underneath it all, is the Betty, while Tatsuya here is the [[TheStoic stoical]], [[IneffectualLoner mysterious]], and [[AllGirlsWantBadBoys edgy]] Veronica.
** Some variants of this appear for the Social Links in ''VideoGame/{{Persona 3}}'':
*** The male protagonist has three LoveInterests among the playable party; he can hook up with two more [=NPC=]s and [[spoiler:possibly get his homeroom teacher]] to develop a crush on him as well, but his party members fit the dynamic better. [[{{Ojou}} Mitsuru]], with all of her elegance, [[DefrostingIceQueen coolness]], and [[NonIdleRich absurd amount of wealth]] serves as the Veronica, while cheery and popular yet {{Tsundere}} Yukari serves as the Betty. [[ShrinkingViolet Shy girl]] Fuuka Yamagishi functions as a ThirdOptionLoveInterest, fitting neither category. The UpdatedReRelease adds [[RobotGirl Aigis]], who combines elements of both. She's initially emotionless and mysterious before developing, like Veronica, but [[spoiler: turns out to be FirstGirlAfterAll]], putting her more in line with the Betty.
*** The same thing applies if you pick a female protagonist in the Platform/PlayStationPortable version of the game: while he's seemingly aloof, [[BigManOnCampus Akihiko]] is actually a rather awkward, affable, and [[BigBrotherInstinct caring]] Betty, while the brooding and [[SugarAndIcePersonality unfriendly]] yet ultimately [[BruiserWithASoftCenter gentle]] Shinjiro is the Veronica. While both are similar in hiding their softer sides, Akihiko is more open and friendly than Shinjiro is. The plot important Ryoji Mochizuki is a Cheryl Blossom type ThirdOptionLoveInterest for the Female Protagonist, however he also has elements of a Veronica type in contrast to Akihiko.
** ''VideoGame/{{Persona 4}}'' plays with this dynamic regarding the protagonist's relationships with the four female party members: Of the two second-year students, tomboyish [[YouGoGirl Kung Fu enthusiast]] Chie is the Betty to the [[YamatoNadeshiko proper, refined, and elegantly beautiful]] Yukiko's Veronica, whereas regarding the first-year students, the [[GenkiGirl excitable]] and [[TheTease flirtatious]] idol Rise is the Veronica to the [[TheStoic quiet]], boyishly awkward, and [[SweetPollyOliver cross-dressing]] detective Naoto's Betty. However, when comparing the second-years to the first-years, both Chie and Yukiko come off as GirlNextDoor-type Bettys compared to the more exotic and glamorous Rise's and Naoto's Veronicas.
** ''VideoGame/{{Persona 5}}'' continues on with this dynamic towards the female party members as well: Interestingly, the two younger female members [[{{Hikikomori}} the severely (initially) agoraphobic]] Futaba and [[ButNotTooForeign the quarter Caucasian]] Ann may seem like they have that Betty and Veronica dynamic respectively but it turns out that Ann is actually the Betty since she is [[NiceGirl one of the most kind-hearted characters out there]] while Futaba fits more into the Veronica once she breaks out of her shell [[ManicPixieDreamGirl by trolling on all the party members and being very excitable towards everything in Tokyo]]. The older female members, [[{{Ojou}} the heiress to the Okumura Industries]] Haru and [[SweetAndSourGrapes the very conflicted student council president]] Makoto fits the dynamic better as the brainy Betty Makoto's newly discovered question of authority contrast with rich girl Veronica Haru's cool, collected demeanor. Like ''Persona 4'', when comparing the older girls to the younger ones, Makoto and Haru's hard working, diligent behaviors makes them Bettys while Ann and Futaba's bubbly, irreverent personalities fits more toward Veronicas.
* ''VideoGame/PlanescapeTorment'': [[WordOfGod According to the author]], the potential love interests for the player character, Annah-of-the-Shadows and Fall-From-Grace, were inspired by Betty and Veronica. Weirdly, they both have a blend of features -- Grace, the wealthy, worldly, educated, glamorous one is by far the more personable of the two; the guttersnipe, relatable Annah is more brash and sharp-tongued, but also younger and more inexperienced.
* ''Franchise/PrinceOfPersia'': The original 3-D trilogy ''[[VideoGame/PrinceOfPersiaTheSandsOfTime Sands of Time]]'', ''[[VideoGame/PrinceOfPersiaWarriorWithin Warrior Within]]'' and ''[[VideoGame/PrinceOfPersiaTheTwoThrones Two Thrones]]'' is a weird variation of this. ''Sands of Time'' has Farah's Betty to the Prince's Archie and nobody else. ''Warrior Within'' has only Kaileena's Veronica. In ''Two Thrones'' [[spoiler: Kaileena dies]] and the Prince returns to good old Farah [[spoiler: who had her memories of the first game effectively wiped out by the Prince turning back time and preventing everything happening in the first place]].
* ''Franchise/ResidentEvil''[='s=] Leon gets this in absolutely ''stupifying'' amounts due to the number of appearances he's made in the series and the fact that he's equal parts TheCasanova and ChickMagnet. In ''[[VideoGame/ResidentEvil2 RE2]]'', he has Claire (Betty) and Ada (Veronica), although a [[DatingCatwoman long-lasting attraction]] is ultimately seen to exist between him and the latter (on the opposite side, he and Claire end up as good friends). In ''[[VideoGame/ResidentEvil4 RE4]]'', he has Ashley (Betty) and Ada (again, the Veronica), with his MissionControl Hunnigan functioning as the [[ThirdOptionLoveInterest Cheryl]] at the end. The movie ''[[Anime/ResidentEvilDegeneration Degeneration]]'' has Claire (Betty) and Angela (Veronica). The only real exception to this is ''[[VideoGame/ResidentEvilTheDarksideChronicles The Darkside Chronicles]]'', and Manuela is shown to have a subtle crush on Leon.
%%* ''VideoGame/TheSaboteur'': Used with Skylar as the Veronica and the ironically named Veronique as the Betty.
* ''VideoGame/SkiesOfArcadia'' has a {{Subverted|Trope}} example. The [[NumberTwo rough-and-tumble]] ChildhoodFriend and partner-in-crime Aika serves as the Betty, and the [[EtherealWhiteDress hauntingly beautiful]] MysteriousWaif from another world Fina serves as the Veronica. However, beyond a handful of ShipTease moments which are entirely optional, very easy-to-miss, and have no bearing on the course of the plot, neither girl actively pursues [[TheHero Vyse]]. By the end of the game, the love triangle is nowhere near being definitively resolved. Given the absolutely titanic shipping wars of [[VideoGame/FinalFantasyVII another Japanese RPG that came out not long before]], this was probably a wise decision on the part of the writers.
* ''VideoGame/Sly3HonorAmongThieves'': Gender-inverted where Penelope has a crush on Sly (the Veronica), but also has unrequited feelings for Bentley (the Betty). She goes for Bentley. [[spoiler:[[VideoGame/SlyCooperThievesInTime It doesn't last long]].]] This also applies to Sly himself, when it comes to [[KnightTemplar Carmelita]], [[ChronicBackstabbingDisorder Neyla]], and [[TheSociopath Penelope]], all of whom are {{Jerkass}}es. But what sets Carmelita apart from Neyla and Penelope is that [[spoiler:they used Sly for their selfish intent and plan on killing him, while Carmelita sees him as a WorthyOpponent and just wants to arrest him]]. Sly ends up with Carmelita, while Neyla [[spoiler:is killed as Clock-La]] and Penelope [[spoiler:ends up as a homeless fugitive]].
* ''Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog'' has a few cases of this, most notably with the outgoing and flirtatious [[StalkerWithaCrush Amy]] (Veronica), to the shy and reserved [[DefrostingIceQueen Blaze]] (Betty). In ''VideoGame/SonicTheHedgehog2006'', shy and introverted Elise is the Betty to Amy's outspoken and independent Veronica.
* ''VideoGame/SpiderManWebOfShadows'': ComicBook/MaryJaneWatson and ComicBook/BlackCat compete indirectly over ComicBook/SpiderMan's affections, with Mary Jane wanting him to lead a normal life and Black Cat wanting him to turn to the dark side.
* ''VideoGame/StarTrekEliteForce 2'' allows the player to choose between Lt. Munro's teammate and long-time love interest Telsia (Betty) and the scientist Kleeya (Veronica).
* ''VideoGame/StarWarsTheOldRepublic'': Most classes have one romance option per gender, but for those with more than one, there usually can be a Betty and Veronica found amongst them:
** Male Agents have their perky protégé [[WideEyedIdealist Raina]] as Betty and the manipulative anarchist [[TriggerHappy Kaliyo]] as Veronica, with [[TheSociopath Hunter]] being a mix of a ThirdOptionLoveInterest and an even darker Veronica. For Female Agents, Hunter becomes a straight-up Veronica to [[NiceGuy Vector's]] Betty.
** Female Warriors get to choose between [[MyCountryRightOrWrong Quinn]] (Betty) and [[SociopathicSoldier Pierce]] (Veronica). [[spoiler:Though Quinn turns out to have a bit of Veronica in him that she should watch out for.]]
** Male Warriors likewise have this dynamic, with their former slave [[SadClown Vette]] a clear Betty and their bloodthirsty apprentice [[AxCrazy Jaesa]] a clear Veronica.
** Female Consulars have laid-back soldier [[ThePollyanna Iresso]] as Betty and smug scientist [[TheCasanova Tharan]] as Veronica. Funnily enough, Tharan himself is an Archie -- the Female Consular is the Veronica, being a member of the far-off, mystical Jedi Order, and his assistant [[GenkiGirl Holiday]] the Betty.
** Averted for male Smugglers: [[MafiaPrincess Risha]] and [[BloodKnight Akaavi]] are both fairly Veronica.
** Theron and Lana from the ''Shadow of Revan'' expansion are this for any PC. Lana, being well-bred, [[SilkHidingSteel soft-spoken]], and [[AffablyEvil friendly]], is the Betty, while the [[IWorkAlone aloof]] and [[GoodIsNotSoft ruthless but well-intentioned]] Theron is the Veronica. Interestingly, the dynamic is affected by which faction you serve; it's pretty clean-cut for Imperial players, but for Republic players it gets a little murky, as ''Theron'' is technically the Betty (being on your side) and ''Lana'' the Veronica (being an enemy Sith).
* ''Franchise/SuperMarioBros'': Pauline, Mario's original love interest from ''VideoGame/DonkeyKong'', is the Veronica to Princess Peach's Betty, who became his love interest starting with the original ''VideoGame/SuperMarioBros1''.
* ''VideoGame/TalesSeries'':
** In ''VideoGame/TalesOfSymphonia'', [[TheHero Lloyd's]] two most obvious love interests are Colette, his blond, quiet, gentle VictoriousChildhoodFriend (Betty) and Sheena, the raven-haired, tough, exotic ActionGirl (Veronica). The game lets you decide who he ends up with (including neither), thanks to the multiple endings.
** In ''VideoGame/TalesOfDestiny'', the {{Tsundere}} ActionGirl Rutee (Veronica) and the [[{{Meganekko}} soft-spoken]] SquishyWizard Philia (Betty) both have a crush on [[IdiotHero Stahn]]. Rutee wins, and the hero of ''VideoGame/TalesOfDestiny2'' is their son, Kyle.
** ''VideoGame/TalesOfLegendia'' plays with this a bit, with [[AllLovingHero Shirley]] (Betty) and [[ActionGirl Chloe]] (Veronica) vying for Senel's affection. However, he's only interested in [[ThirdOptionLoveInterest Shirley's older sister Stella]], who was presumed dead, [[spoiler: and he continues to yearn after when she reappears alive and ''does'' die via a HeroicSacrifice. Eventually he chooses Shirley (the Betty)]].
** ''VideoGame/TalesOfTheAbyss'' has Natalia [[InvokedTrope invoke]] this in regards to her main love options (and focus of her character development) [[spoiler: [[GoodIsNotSoft Asch]], the original ChildhoodFriend and the one behind the ChildhoodMarriagePromise is her Veronica, while [[AllLovingHero Luke]], the replica of the original, is her Betty in regards to personality. Those outside might consider it reversed due to Asch being the "legitimate" child and thus the "real" fiance while Luke is ultimately [[GodInHumanForm Lorelei]].]] As Abyss has a GainaxEnding, who she chooses is unknown.
*** It's also [[DiscussedTrope discussed]] as, if it wasn't for TheReveal, it's likely Luke would have been the Archie in regards to [[DefrostingIceQueen Tear]] (Veronica) and [[ChildhoodMarriagePromise Natalia]] (Betty).
* ''VideoGame/TheTraderOfStories Chapter II'' features a RomanceArc with two possible choices: Ugo, a dorky BoyNextDoor whose only fault is FantasticRacism towards Shadowchildren (which may or may not have to do with his rival being one) [[spoiler: and who [[TakingTheBullet defends Myo with his life and limb]], even if she's been standoffish to him]]; and Scath, an exotic, mysterious, [[ArtistsAreAttractive artsy]] and suave [[InterspeciesRomance Shadowchild]] [[spoiler: [[AllGirlsWantBadBoys dream thief]] and the unrepentant [[DatingCatwoman villain of the episode]].]] Also, you are free to play a MasterofTheMixedMessage if you like.
* In ''VideoGame/Uncharted2AmongThieves'', [[GirlOfTheWeek brand-new]] ActionGirl sidekick Chloe Frazier is Veronica, and IntrepidReporter Elena Fisher becomes the Betty.
* ''VideoGame/TheWitcher'' features both redheaded love interests; Shani, TheMedic who wants to protect the [[LivingMacGuffin child]] and Triss the high society mage who wants to use him, but is better capable of controlling keeping his power under control.
** {{Subverted|Trope}} in ''VideoGame/TheWitcher3WildHunt''. Yennefer is devious, duplicitous, amoral and glamourous. Triss is also all of these things to a somewhat lesser degree, as is [[spoiler:Keira Metz]]. Jeez, Geralt, you sure know how to pick 'em.
* ''VideoGame/XenobladeChronicles'':
** ''VideoGame/XenobladeChronicles1'' has Shulk, Fiora, and Melia. Fiora is initially the Betty, being Shulk's childhood friend, but upon being reborn into a Mechon, she becomes the Veronica, having the fiery personality, being devoted to helping Shulk defeat and [[DefeatMeansFriendship make peace with Egil]], and later [[JerkassGods Zanza]] after he kills Meyneth. Likewise, Melia is initially the Veronica, having a fiery personality with a hidden soft side, but later becomes the Betty upon seeing Fiora and Shulk officially become a couple. ''Future Connected'' even has Fiora get jealous that Shulk brought Melia on an adventure without her, mirroring the Veronica getting angry at her boyfriend being with another girl.
** ''VideoGame/XenobladeChronicles2'' places Rex, Pyra, and Nia in a love triangle. Pyra fits the personality of the Betty, being the sweeter and more caring of the two, while the Nia as the more icy of the two is the Veronica. Their actual designs are inverted, as Pyra is the MsFanservice showing a lot of skin, while Nia wears a full jumpsuit that covers everything. Later on, a certain event [[spoiler:causes Pyra to transform into a new Blade, named Mythra. If Pyra (the Betty) is a gentle RoseHairedSweetie with [[BewareTheNiceOnes surprising strength]], then Mythra (the Veronica) is a GoodIsNotSoft warrior girl with [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold a surprising soft side.]]]] It even goes further when a group shot of the whole Xenoblade 2 cast is seen in Nia's chambers in ''VideoGame/XenobladeChronicles3'', showing [[spoiler:Rex [[MarryThemAll married Pyra, Mythra, AND Nia, having a child with each of them]]]].
