As depressing as Space Runaway Ideon is known to be, it has it's moments of awesome.

* In the first episode, Bes Jordan defeats a squadron of Buff Clan only using a lightsaber, a blaster and improvisation of heavy weaponry.
* Ideon starts to show what it can really do: cutting a planet in half with its beam swords.
