!!The Four Boys (Stan, Cartman, Kyle and Kenny)
* When Kyle's mother tells him he can go and see the Raging Pussies if he "brings democracy to Cuba". One heartfelt letter to FidelCastro later...
* Cartman's [[WartimeCartoon epic (and Looney Toon-esque)]] [[EscalatingWar showdown with Osama Bin Laden]] in "Osama Bin Laden Has Farty Pants".
** The original title of that episode was "Osama Bin Laden Has a Small Penis." So yeah.
** Just the fact the first episode after the terrorist attacks addresses this. Good show buddy. Good show.
* Cartman's most heroic Moment of Awesome was his defeat of Saddam in TheMovie. "RESPECT MY FUCKING AUTHORITAH!"
* Cartman just got another one with his ''Film/AClockworkOrange''-style fight with Mosquito. This is a SHOT-FOR-SHOT homage to the Flat Block Marina scene from the movie.
* In "Casa Bonita" Cartman's mad dash through the titular restaurant surely counts. The police are on his heels, and he manages to sample every attraction in the place in less than 60 seconds. This climaxes with him diving off a waterfall into the pool, where the police finally catch up with him. One of the officers goes, "Well, kid, you've lost all your friends, made us all panic for nothing, and now you're going to Juvenile Hall! Was it worth it?" Cartman responds, "Totally."
* Kyle gets his during the Christmas adventure in Canada. After Cartman keeps threatening to beat him up for causing him to miss Christmas, Kyle hits him once... [[MinorInjuryOverreaction and he starts bawling]].
* After years of telling Cartman not to, Kyle finally calls ''his own mother'' a bitch in "Fun With Veal".
* Stan gets one when he takes on John Edward in "The Biggest Douche in the Universe". Sure, it's a little {{anvilicious}}, but {{some anvils need to be dropped}}.
** Stan just got another in "Whale Whores", when he shoots a flare gun at a Japanese whaling ship and blows up its fuel tanks and then turns a sloppy reality show into a hardcore vigilante group.
* Cartman blasting a Slayer CD over Woodstock-size speakers to drive away hippies.
** Which he reached by mowing down a whole group of them with a giant [[ThisIsADrill drill]].
* Cartman brings back old-school piracy by hijacking a ship. With TOYS. [[http://www.southparkstudios.com/clips/225457/?tab=featured "Now *that's* a pirate ship."]] He goes on to turn the vicious, bloodthirsty Somali pirates who tried to ransom him off into his loyal, shanty-singing crew (complete with SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic seen here: http://www.southparkstudios.com/clips/225458/?tab=featured) and for a few glorious days actually lives the life of a romantic-era pirate captain. Of course, South Park being [[CrapsackWorld what it is]], this doesn't stick... although in this situation, it was because of an [[SomeAnvilsNeedToBeDropped anvil that needed dropping]] coupled with RealityEnsues.
* "It doesn't matter who we are. What matters is our plan. You should have respected my authoritah."
* Kyle's bleep-coated rant against the visitors in ''Cartman Gets an Anal Probe'', the very first episode. Sure, tame compared to these examples, but I've had a soft spot for Kyle ever since.
* Cartman gets one in "The F Word" he approaches a bunch of very loud and annoying bikers, who are talking to one another...
-->'''Cartman:''' You know everyone in town thinks you guys are fags?
-->'''Biker Leader''': Well, that's just how we roll! And if people are annoyed or scared by that-
-->'''Cartman:''' No, nobody is scared. Because they know that the only people that need to be so loud and pathetic for attention is you, and teenage girls. Just wanted you to know, you guys are fucking fags. (walks away)
-->'''Random Biker:''' ...That little boy just called us fags.
* How about in "The Return of Chef!", when the [[{{ChurchOfHappyology}} Super Adventure Club's]] security is leading the boys out the door to prevent them from saving Chef, and Kyle grabs the first object in sight and whacks both guards? Went by unnoticed, but that's got to count for something.
** That was nothing compared to Kenny somehow propelling himself across the room to deliver a headbutt into the guards [[GroinAttack crotch]].
* In the recent episode Coon 2: Hindsight when Cartman is grounded, because it was a very powerful moment for Mrs. Cartman,
* This gets topped in the next episode, "Mysterion Rises", where it's revealed that Mysterion ''does'' have an actual superpower... [[spoiler: because he's Kenny, he ''can't die''. This is a simultaneous instance of Moment of Awesome, SugarWiki/FunnyMoments, FridgeBrilliance, FridgeHorror, ''and'' CursedWithAwesome, since nobody else can remember his deaths]].
** Screw [[DidYouJustPunchOutCthulhu punching out Cthulhu]], Cartman freakin' [[DidYouJustHaveTeaWithCthulhu TAMED Cthulhu]]!
*** (insert SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic here)
** Then, in the next episode, Mintberry Crunch [[DidYouJustPunchOutCthulhu defeated Cthulhu]] with the power of mint and berries.
** Most of Cartman's and Cthulhu's murdering spree is both awesome and hilarious, but their massacre of Justin Bieber and his fans stands out.
** In the same episode, the OhCrap look on everyone's face when they realize that Cartman is controlling Cthulhu, who promptly banishes them to another dimension. Later, even this gets topped by Kenny's massive tirade against Cartman.
---> You little fucking prick! What is wrong with you?! What kind of sick fuck does that to his friends?!
** In fact, all of Kenny's confrontation of Cartman counts.
---> '''Cartman:''' It's not my fault you guys turned evil, Kenny!
---> '''Kenny:''' You are the bad guy, Cartman! YOU!
---> '''Cartman:''' I'm makin' the world a better place!
---> '''Kenny:''' FOR YOU! You're making it a better place FOR YOU!
---> '''Cartman:''' *beat* [[ComicallyMissingThePoint Riight, that's what superheroes]] ''do''.
---> '''Kenny:''' No. ''This'' is what superheroes do...
** The whole Coon trilogy can be considered a crowning moment of awesome for Kenny, even. Good-freaking-luck looking at him the same in earlier episodes now.
** KILL ME, CTHULU! KILL ME BEFORE I KILL YOU!
** The fact that he called Cthulhu "pussy" and "wuss" only makes it better.
** Arguably Cartman being GenreSavvy enough to turn down Kenny's dare and "Cute Kitten" Cthulhu back to his rampage also counts, marking the second time he has outsmarted [[AlwaysSomeoneBetter Mysterion]].
--> '''Cartman:''' Fuuck yoou, Kennnyy!
* In "It's a Jersey Thing", Kyle pins Cartman against a tree by his throat and threatens him to never again insinuate that he is from New Jersey. Seeing Cartman crying afterwards really made up for some of his KarmaHoudini tendencies.
*** HOW can you forget later when Kyle [[spoiler: turns into Kyley-B and saves Cartman from being raped by Snookie]]?
* How about the {{World of Warcraft}} episode? As Stan and the others defeat the guy with no life's avatar?
* In ''T.M.I'', Cartman gives what is perhaps the greatest combination of CharacterDevelopment, DisproportionateRetribution, TranquilFury and MagnificentBastard This Troper has ever seen. Basically, a therapist is trying to figure out if Cartman has anger issues. He '''''BOMBARDS''''' Cartman with fat jokes, something that would usually make Cartman go [[BerserkButton ballistic]]. But Cartman just sits there, texting on a phone. So the therapist is just about to conclude that Cartman is the most calm child he's ever met, when a secretary shows up and tells the therapist that his wife is on the phone. [[spoiler: His wife, apparently very distraught, begins asking him about [[NoodleImplements a criminal record involving an underage girl]] provided to her via a text from someone named [[CallBack Mitch Connor]]. [[DrivenToSuicide She offs herself]] on the spot,]] leaving the shocked therapist staring at Cartman, who simply [[TranquilFury glares at him]] and says "I'm not fat. I'm big-boned." CharacterDevelopment at it's finest!
** In fact, that itself echoes the events of "Scott Tenorman Must Die", in the sense that it shows: don't provoke Eric Cartman.
* [[spoiler:Mysterion's]] return in ''The Poor Kid''. [[spoiler:When the [=McCormick=] children are sent to live with strict Agnostic parents, Kenny, as Mysterion, consoles his sister and [[KnightTemplarBigBrother beats a bully within an inch of her life when she tries to bully her.]]]]
** For me, the true CMOA of that episode is that they actually [[spoiler:''acknowledged Karen [=McCormick's=] existence'']], after so many years!
** Let's not forget when Kenny, [[spoiler: in response to the foster parents dousing their foster children in Dr. Pepper for not living up to their agnostic beliefs, takes advantage of the fact that Cartman alerted the Child Protective Services, replaces their Dr. Pepper with beer, and gets them arrested.]]
* "More Crap": Stan gets a minor one when he tells Bono "At some point, can't you just kind of... fuck off?" when he mentions everything else Bono has.
* "You Have 0 Friends": [[CallingTheOldManOut "Fuck off, Dad."]]
* From "Tonsil Trouble" "I am going to break '''everything that you own.'''" ''And Kyle proceeds to do just that!''
* '''[[RealityWarper THIS IS REALITY!!! I AM EVERYWHERE AND NOWHERE!!!]]''' '''''[[CrazyAwesome I AM NOTHING AND EVERYTHING!!!]]'''''
* From "Faith Hilling", Cartman's amazing public display of defiance towards other memeing trends and proclamations of loyalty to the titular meme. IN SONG.
* "A Nightmare On Facetime", the boys, dressed as the Avengers, attempt to go into action, when they spot the Kum & Go store being robbed, [[spoiler: even if they do bail out a moment later.]]
** Kenny, who we are able to hear clearly throughout the episode, gives tactical orders behind the voice-changing Iron Man mask; considering his [[spoiler:leadership skills as Mysterion]], there's something undeniably cool about that.
* [[MoralEventHorizon As horrible as it was]], Eric Cartman's {{disproportionate retribution}} in the episode "Scott Tenorman Must Die".
--> '''Cartman''': Oh, let me taste your tears! The tears of unfathomable sadness!
** The way Scott [[StunnedSilence just stares at Cartman]] as he explains everything (which surely the audience is also doing) makes it even more awesome.
* In "Two Days Before the Day After Tomorrow", Cartman won't allow Kyle onto the helicopter until he gives him his "Jew gold". He takes it out...and proceeds to throw it into the fire to piss him off!
* In "Fun With Veal", the boys are keeping baby cows safe. Cartman is actually pretty decent in this episode, since before the other boys can mess anything up, he takes on the negotiator. The boys at first think he's gonna hand over a calf, and then...
-->'''Negociator:''' How about we make a trade, just show that we can trust each other.
-->'''Cartman:''' What do you have in mind?
-->'''Negociator:''' Well, how about you send out one of the calves?
-->'''Cartman:''' Oh, Mike, you're breakin' my balls here, Mike.
-->'''Negociator:''' Just one, that's all we want.
-->'''Cartman:''' All right, how 'bout this? You guys have all the leverage and we have nothing. So how about we give you one calf...
-->'''Stan:''' Cartman, no!
-->'''Kyle:''' Dude!
-->'''Cartman:''' ''[holds out his palm to silence them and clears his throat]'' We'll give you one calf, if you give us... some guns and ammunition of our own.
-->'''Negociator:''' What? I, I can't do that.
-->'''Cartman:''' Oh, I'm sorry. I thought we were talkin' here, but I guess you're not talkin' to me. Goodbye.
-->'''Negociator:''' No no wait, oh, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Y-you're right. What reason do you have to trust me? I'm just a guy from Lakewood trying to make ends meet, you know? Just a blue-collar guy like your dad.
-->'''Cartman:''' Don't have a dad, Mike. That's not gonna work.
-->'''Negociator:''' Oh. All right, fine, son of a gun, let me see what I can do.
** The best moment for me had to be when he got a crate of food and weapons into the room, and while he's negotiating, you see Kyle and Butters assembling a couple of weapons in the background. Thanks to Cartman, they lasted six days, kept all the calves with them, and got everything they wanted (except North and South Dakota). That's longer than most hostage situations last. And I never did see them give back those weapons...
** Also bear in mind that from Cartman's perspective, the three woke him up, insulted him, dragged him into something he didn't want to do just to use his Mission Impossible playset, go without food, get in trouble with the law, and be supported by hippies (who he hates). But instead of selling them out he pretty much saves the day.
* In "Titties and Dragons" Bill Gates and the founder of Sony arrive at Red Robins while the fourth graders are there during the war over video game consoles. It turns out that [[spoiler: Stan contacted them because he was sick of seeing everyone else fight, ultimately ending the war.]]
-->'''Stan''': You want a war so bad? [tosses [[spoiler:the Sony executive]] his little wooden sword] '''Then ''you'' fuckin' fight.'''
* In "Wacky Molestation Adventure" Stan gets his parents framed for molestation. Though a KickTheDog for Stan, seconds later Shelly raises her fist ready to beat the crap out of him, before he sends the police onto her as well. [[ATasteOfDefeat Perhaps the only moment in the show Stan has successfully gotten revenge on his usually unstoppable abusive sister.]]

!!Butters Stotch
* Butters gets one in "AWESOM-O" (rather apt title, isn't it?): when Cartman's robot disguise is revealed after a bloody stand-off with the military, Butters makes good on the promise he'd made earlier in the episode: he shows a video of Cartman dancing around dressed like Britney Spears not only to the South Park residents... but also to the Hollywood executives, scientists and military officers they'd encountered earlier. He's dancing around with the biggest smile on his face while everyone else is laughing, and all Cartman can say is "Lame!" GOOD END.
** Heck, Trey and Matt deserve applause here. Usually, an episode is completed in a week. But ''this'' episode was completed in '''''three days!''''' EPIC WIN.
* Butters got another one in "Super Fun Time". After being selected as Cartman's buddy on the field trip, being instructed to not to let go of his hand, and spending the whole episode being dragged along as Cartman left the tour, he finally gets him to agree to come back and finds the mock colonial village has been taken over by thieves with machine-guns. He then ''uses Cartman as a flail'', fleeing gunfire until he shows up at the end dragging an unconscious Cartman up onto the bus, declaring "Teacher, my partner is back on the bus", as he finally lets go of his hand and faints.
* Butters had yet another moment at the end of an episode where Stan, inconsolable after breaking up with Wendy, joins the Goth Kids. Butters endured a similar situation, but fended off the Goths with:
-->'''Butters:''' Well yeah, and I'm sad, but at the same time I'm really happy that something could make me feel that sad. It's like, it makes me feel alive, you know? It makes me feel human. And the only way I could feel this sad now is if I felt somethin' really good before. So I have to take the bad with the good, so I guess what I'm feelin' is like a, beautiful sadness. I guess that sounds stupid. Besides, I'd rather be a crying little pussy than a faggy goth kid.
* He got yet another one in "Butters' Bottom Bitch" when he becomes a pimp. The fact that he went from... Butters (he's become a synonym for being a pussy) to being a full on Pimp (with a capital P) is enough.
** Does the fact that he spent the whole time thinking his girls are only selling kisses and hugs (even the actual prostitutes that signed up with him later) make it more or less awesome?
** I don't know, but the scene where he goes to a Pimp convention and gets tips from them, noting it all down, is extremely awesome. And so is when prostitutes were starting to advertise him around their social circles as a respectful pimp who never beats his bitches.
* His most awesome moment has to be being a complete Badass in The Last of the Meheecans. He [[BadassUnintentional makes all the Mexicans realize that they all really want to go home and starts some kind of revolution]], becomes their LEADER, and then crosses the American border whilst being chased by Cartman. Badass. Butters approaches the border and border patrol is all too willing to let him in. However, Cartman is not happy to see him and Butters even looks at him and says "Game on!" as if he were taunting Cartman that he will make it through no matter what. A chase scene ensues with Cartman going through any means necessary to keep Butters from crossing the border and though border patrol is on Butter's side, Cartman is still relentless in his pursuit. The Crowning Moment comes when Cartman finally catches up to Butters and tackles him to the ground only to realize too late that it was a decoy using a Mantequilla piņata and that Butters had successfully climbed over the border gate. Every Mexican in North America and the border police cheer as he makes it through.
** At the end of the episode, Stan once again says that while Butters is a good Mexican, he's not a good Mexican leader. In response, Butters stands on his chair and raises his arms. Cue the roar of ''every Mexican in North America''.
* Butters in the Imaginationland special. Especially since ''survived the a goddamn nuke'', and in the process reformed of recreating Imagination land, resurrected his friends from the ''real'' world.
* Butters gets another one near the end of "Cartman Sucks". A misunderstanding leads to him being sent to a camp that tries to de-gay kids, where he is repeatedly told that he's "confused" and needs to be "fixed". Finally, [[http://www.southparkstudios.com/clips/155516/butters-speech he snaps and tells off the entire camp staff plus his dad.]]
-->'''Butters:''' All right, that does it! I am sick and tired of everyone telling me I'm confused! I wasn't confused until other people started tellin' me I was! You know what I think? I think maybe you are the ones who are confused!... I'm not gonna be confused anymore just because you say I should be! My name is Butters, I'm eight years old, I'm blood type O, and I'm bi-curious! And even that's okay! Because if I'm bi-curious, and I'm somehow made from God, then I think your God must be a little bi-curious himself!
** This troper thinks the above is Butters' best moment ever.
*** ABSO-FUCKIN'-LUTELY! Butters' finest hour.
**** The topper to this tirade was that Butters literally ''was'' confused - [[IncorruptiblePurePureness he had no idea what]] [[InnocentInaccurate bi-curious meant]].
* He gets ANOTHER moment near the end of "Butters' Very Own Episode" when he gives his parents a TheReasonYouSuckSpeech to stop their fighting:
--->'''Butters:''' Now gosh darn it, you! [steps in between his parents] You listen here! Now I am sick of these harmless lies and l-little white lies. You know, you can call a shovel an ice-cream machine, but it's still a shovel, Mom and Dad. Ah, and you can call a lie whatever you want, but it's still a no-good stinkin' lie! And when you start coverin' up one lie with another why, now that's when you get into real trouble! ''[Chris and Linda listen]'' Boy, I've, I've just about had it up to here ''[puts his right hand to his chin, palm down]'' with you two!
** And then they feel bad and give him the love he deserves. Kind of.
*** By the amount of entries for him on this page, Butters is actually the most badass character in the show. He has more than Cartman!
* Butters gets another one in "The Tale of Scrotie [=McBoogerballs=]" when the rest of the kids, thinking they'll get in trouble for writing such a dirty book, convince everyone that ''he'' wrote it (including Butters himself) -- and it becomes a runaway success. Then, when he's confronted by the boys, he blows them off and tells them that they can go [[GoshDangItToHeck suck on his wiener]]. He gets another one for writing [[{{Sequelitis}} the sequel]], which, though it was clean enough for us to hear it, was dirty for [[GoshDangItToHeck his standards]]. The kicker? Up until a reader kills the Kardashian sisters, it's just as heavily praised as the original book with readers raving about how he had gone back to his roots.
** Some see this less as Butters' Moment of Awesome and more as a ''massive'' TakeThat to [[EveryoneIsJesusInPurgatory Literary Scholars]].
*** It is at least a Moment of Awesome for having Butters finally turn the tables on the boys, who constantly bullied or manipulated him into their schemes while acting as their fourth friend, not only does their using of Butters [[HoistByHisOwnPetard get completely turned against them]] but Butters finally stands up for himself and tells them to shove it when they try to [[NeverMyFault blame it on him again]].
--->'''Kyle:''' Butters, do you really think it's fair to lie like this?! Let me tell you, if you don't have--!
--->'''Butters:''' ''*snaps*'' No! Let me tell you something, fellas!! You always take advantage of me. And after reading Catcher in the Rye, I've learned you're nothing but phonies! I'm not letting you trick me this time. So the four of you can just suck on my wiener.
---> ''*storms off, leaving the other boys speechless*''
--->'''Cartman:''' ''*beat*'' That inconsiderate jerk...
* Butters' TheReasonYouSuckSpeech to his [[TheBully grand]][[PsychopathicManchild mother,]] late at night, and her silent reactions throughout it:
-->"Grandma? I did it grandma, I finally stood up for myself, I got real mean and I [[ItMakesSenseInContext beat the snot out of Dr. Oz]]. I can't lie, it felt kind of good at first, but since then all I have is this kind of dark empty feeling, and then I realized, that's how you must feel, all the time. Poor old grandma, you know, I've been getting lots of advice on how to deal with you, stand up to you, tell on you, but I kind of realize that [[AnAesop there's just people like you out there, all over the place. When you're a kid, things seem like they're going to last forever, but they're not, life changes.]] You won't always be around, someday you're going to die, someday pretty soon, and when you're laying in that hospital bed, with tubes up your nose, and that little pan under your butt to pee in, I'll come visit you. I'll come just to show you that I'm still alive and I'm still happy, and you'll die, being nothing but you... [[MoodWhiplash Night grandma!]]
** That episode was great. As a former victim I can say that it was infinitely more accurate than any of South Park's rivals' approaches. Writers tend to forget that if you ''could'' ignore your bully, expose them, stand up to them, or find help, you ''would.'' That's why it's bullying; it makes you powerless. And you know what makes me so sure that somebody on the writing squad must have had experience? People tell you to fight back. You fight back, and then everybody gets angry at ''you'' because deep down ''they don't actually give a rat's ass.'' And Butters' conclusion? The writers don't have the gall to tell you that the bullying is going to stop now, nor that Butters is simply going to ignore it. Nor is he going to simply put it behind him. Grandma doesn't get punished, but she isn't shown to mend her ways. He just tells her calmly and in private, that he's going to be there when she dies. And that he's going to be ''happy.'' Her own grandson will be happy when she dies. And he leaves her to think about that. That really touched me.
** The completely broken, empty look of sadness on his grandma by the end of it only sells it further. She knows she's unhappy and weak and soon to die, and even worse, now her victim does, and vows to milk it for all it's worth.
* Butter's setup of the joke in "Reverse Cowgirl" as he is proven right;
--> Well, I always thought you sat this way (facing inward on the seat.) Then you have the flusher right there and that little shelf for your comic book and chocolate milk.
** Butters is a walking CMOA. If he has a major role at all in an episode he will have at least one of these.
* Butter sinking ''an entire ocean liner with a'' '''''golf ball.'''''
** From the same episode, Butters dropping a ''huge'' TheReasonYouSuckSpeech on a majority of the class minus Kenny. Most notable targets being Cartman, Stan, and Kyle. He even outright snaps at his dad to ''shut up''.

!!South Park Elementary Students/Faculty Staff
* Wendy Testaburger in "Tom's Rhinoplasty". You want {{disproportionate retribution}}? How about hiring foreign mercenaries to stuff the substitute teacher whom you believe (completely wrongly) is stealing your boyfriend into a rocket and launch her, bewildered and terrified, to a flaming death in the heart of THE FREAKIN' SUN??? Cartman has got nothing on that. "I WARNED her. Don't... fuck... with... Wendy... TESTABURGER!!!!" [Scare Chord]
* Token got ''his'' crowning moment at the end of "Christian Rock Hard", where after having to deal with Cartman being... well, Cartman for the entire episode, finally snaps and beats the crap out of him in possibly the swiftest, most efficient asskicking Cartman has ever received.
** And Cartman is then farted on by Butters, with the words "Fuck you, Eric."
* Wendy beating the shit out of Cartman in the climax of "Breast Cancer Show Ever".
** And if you're paying attention to the fight scene references during her NoHoldsBarredBeatdown of Cartman, you'll know that she's the equivalent of BradPitt from ''{{Snatch}} and'' Daniel Day Lewis from ''Film/ThereWillBeBlood at the same fucking time''.
** Don't forget [[http://www.southparkstudios.com/clips/188249 the Principal's speech]] that inspired Wendy to stand up for herself and fight Cartman.
*** And how she first managed to scare Cartman shitless in the first place - ''"I'm going to shove your ass down your throat and make you eat your underwear!"'' He actually does it, hoping it will appease her.[[note]]It doesn't[[/note]]
--->'''Principal Victoria:''' ''[After revealing she is a breast cancer survivor]'' Cancer is... pure evil. It is a fat little lump that needs to be... destroyed. When there is a cancer, you have to ''fight'' it. You can't reason with cancer; you can't wish it away. Cancer doesn't play by the rules so neither can you.
--->'''Wendy:''' ...My parents said that if I fight-
--->'''Principal Victoria:''' And you ''can't'' listen to what anyone else has to tell you. You have to be willing to ''give up'' everything because the cancer will ''take'' everything. Do you understand?
--->'''Wendy:''' ''[firmly]'' Yes, ma'am.
--->'''Principal Victoria:''' When you have cancer you '''fight,''' because it doesn't matter if you beat it or not; you refuse to let that fat little lump make ''you'' feel powerless.
** The only thing that could have made that speech more awesome, is if Principal Victoria had said something about cancer ''spreading...'' because you can see assorted kids starting to support and believe Cartman because Wendy won't fight him.
* Craig just pretty much had a two-parter dedicated to Moments of Awesome as he mercilessly ragged on the main boys for always getting themselves into terrible situations before [[spoiler:accidentally saving the day at the end. By shooting laser beams out of his eyes.]]
** This scene is then followed by Craig's utterly deadpan monologue/epilogue, detailing the aftermath of the incident as a [[SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic Pan Flute Cover of Gary Numan's Cars]] plays in the background.
* The Goth kids, tired of being confused with the 'wannabe fag vamp kids' decide to do something about it. First they kidnap the leader and mail him to another town, then when that doesn't work they find the Hot Topic that has been selling all the vampire clothes and burn it to the ground, thus ridding South Park of vampires. Right at the end they give a speech to the rest of the class on the difference between Goths and Vamps. It ends with riotous applause from the crowd. They reply by flipping the assembly off. The Goth kids are just plain awesome in that episode.
** The Goth kids are just Moment of Awesome machines. In the episode "You Got F'd in the A", the kids are looking for dancing talent to show up a group of other kids who got them "served." They ask the Goth kids, who one by one explain that they'll never join the troupe because they're non-conformist - until they ask the last one, who says that he's so non-conformist that he'll ditch his Goth friends and join the troupe after all. As the troupe leaves, one of the remaining Goth kids says, "we just got Goth-served."
* "[[TheUnintelligible TIMMY]]! AND THE LORDS OF THE UNDERWORLD!"
* Wendy turning the tables on Cartman in "Dances with Smurfs". For the entire episode, Cartman has been slamming her school presidency, calling her a slut and a Smurf killer, showing fake footage of her destroying the Smurf village. Her response? [[RefugeInAudacity Confess that she indeed destroyed the Smurf village]]. It's [[BatmanGambit much better than it sounds]], though, since by going along with Cartman's story, she completely rips Cartman's phony story up, and even makes it sound like he was actually involved in the annihilation of the Smurfs by painting him as a spy. At the end, she makes Cartman the president, showing him what exactly a school president is capable of: [[KickedUpstairs absolutely nothing]]. Not only that, it takes away his job as morning announcer and he's forced to listen to the new announcer criticize his presidency. HoistByHisOwnPetard, indeed.
** A related Moment of Awesome comes when Wendy shocks Cartman by telling him that she already sold the movie rights to Cartman's phony, cliched story about living with the Smurfs, and even tells him that it's in theaters right now. The next scene: cue Cartman screaming out of a theater showing ''Film/{{Avatar}}''.
*** In a meta-sense, Trey & Matt absolutely nailing ''Avatar'''s plot with their parody over a month before the film was released.
** Principal Victoria finally having it with Cartman and his slander of Wendy.
-->"Eric, I've had enough of this! You ''can'' not and you ''will'' not sell you books on school grounds! DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR?!?!?"
* Hell, out of all the Goth kids ''KINDERGOTH'' is the most badass out of them.
* Clyde, in defiance to his deceased mom, puts the toilet seat back up and ''flips off at the heavens!''
* Mr. Garrison owning Shaila with this zinger.
-->'''Sheila:''' This is an offense to the Jewish community.
-->'''Mr. Garrison:''' You ARE the Jewish community.
* Bridon Gueermo [[CallingTheOldManOut punches out his abusive dad]], who controls his family by [[SissyVillain threatening to slap them.]]
* In "Follow That Egg!", when Cartman refuses to take a replacement egg after breaking his:
-->'''Mrs. Garrison:''' Eric, you've never been anything but a problem for me! You're taking that egg! And if you break it again, I'll break both your legs, and burn down your house!
* Tweek gets one in "Free Hat." Despite being terrified, he goes to rescue Stan, Kyle and Cartman from Steven Spielberg. Wielding a bazooka, he threatens to blow up Spielberg's updated edit of The Temple of Doom unless the boys are released.
-->'''Tweek:''' ...except for [[{{Jerkass}} Cartman]]. You can keep him.
-->'''Cartman:''' HEY!!
* The scene in "Fourth Grade" where Mr. Garrison comes to terms with his sexuality. It's hilarious, but it becomes surprisingly powerful.
--> '''Mr. Garrison:''' ALL RIGHT, ALL RIGHT, I ADMIT IT! I'M GAY! I'm...gay. I'm gay! I am gay! You hear that, everyone? I'm gay! I'm gay! I'm gay and it...and it feels ''good.''

!!South Park Residents
* GODDAMN MONGORRIANS!
** HAHAHA SIRRY MONGORRIANS GET DA SWEET AND SOUH PAWK ON DER HEADS!
*** The fact that a single middle-aged man was able to build a 20 foot wall around the entire city in a matter of days is damn impressive.
**** Not to mention the fact that he managed to keep ''rebuilding'' it after the Mongolians kept tearing it down.
* And the movie was full of awesome moments. From Terrence and Phillip's fart routine in "Uncle Fucker" to Satan finally getting Saddam off his back it was the most epic adventure that Trey and Matt put the boys in.
* The Boys cheering Randy on to fight the Bat-Dad with the music from ''Film/{{Rocky}}'' playing. He then proceeds to beat the crap out of him while attempting to sing "[[Film/TheKarateKid The Best Around]]," followed by one of the only times Stan is ever proud of him. It's Awesome Music & Awesome, Funny, and Heartwarming Moments all around.
** Proud? No, he just wanted the baseball season to end.
*** And Randy ended it. Hence, pride.
* Randy Marsh ties up and beats the shit out of [[JerseyShore The Situation]].
** Said beating includes a gratuitous and awesome flip and back kick.
* Sheila using her authority for good to save Sharon from a pack of New Jersey maniacs in the hair salon.
** Sheila's plan in the movie also counts because she was able to round up all the mothers to protest against toilet humor, even thought she took it too far.
* [[CampGay Big Gay Al]] manages one of his own in "The F Word". After the boys decide to fight to change the definition of "fag" from a pejorative for homosexuals to a term for obnoxious guys riding Harleys, he leads the gay community to rally for the cause. While that itself is awesome, his true Moment of Awesome comes when the bikers raid the town and he stares them down an alley with a shotgun. "You FAGS get the hell out of our town!"
** There's also the time he gets kicked out of a Boy Scouts-esque organization, leading the kids to pressure Washington to make such bannings based on sexual orientation illegal. They finally are about to do it, but then Al refuses to support them because simply forcing the group to accept homosexuals won't actually make anyone change their minds about the morals of homosexuality, which is what really needs to happen for true equality to exist.
* Mr. Slave's Moment of Awesome comes in ''Stupid Spoiled Whore Video Playset'', where he finally acts to end the reign of Paris Hilton. After her attempt to prove herself the World's Greatest Slut by ostentatiously dancing provocatively with a group of muscular, near-naked men and then inserting a whole pineapple up her vagina, Mr Slave - who has been watching quietly throughout - walks calmly over to her, leaps in the air, and inserts Paris Hilton herself into his anus. This is made even more awesome when he then flatly lectures the applauding crowd that he shouldn't be applauded for being a slut and people like Paris Hilton are not good role models for little girls. It's a very odd yet strangely moving Moment of Awesome.
* Liane FINALLY having had enough of Cartman's head games in Humancentipad.
** Cartman, after asking if God is fucking him, gets a [[BoltOfDivineRetribution taste of divine punishment via a lightning bolt]].
* Ike earns himself a Moment of Awesome by saving the Princess of Canada in "Royal Pudding." Call him Sir Ike from now on.
* In "It's a Jersey Thing", Sheila standing up against the woman from Jersey who was insulting Sharon.
* Possible YMMV, but Sharon's speech near the end of "Eat, Pray, Queef". The subject itself sounds silly, but it mentions the DoubleStandard on how men are allowed to make fart jokes but women can't make jokes about queefing. What makes it particularly awesome is how Stan and Randy change their original view of only men can make fart jokes after hearing it.
* In "Cherokee Hair Tampons", the livid mothers of South Park find out holistic chemist Miss Information has been conning them with fake medicine (and has been knowingly killing Kyle slowly and painfully with it for the sake of an extra buck). Their response? Surround the [[OhCrap very worried looking]] con artist and [[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown beat her senseless]].
* Randy actually giving ''meaningful advise'' to his son about valuing friendship that actually plays into the whole class learning AnAesop in "Bebe's Boobs Destroy Society". At least he can say he taught his son something worthwhile.
* "Bah Bah Bah Ba-bah Bah! Bah Bah Bah Ba-bah Bah! Bah Bah Bah Ba-bah Bah! Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa WHOA! WE ARE STRONG! NO ONE CAN TELL US WE'RE WRONG! SEARCHING OUR HEARTS FOR SO LONG! ALL OF US KNOWING...LOVE IS A BATTLEFIELD!"

!!Other Characters
* Santa gets his in Cartman's Christmas story when he shows Stan how to deal with Satanic Woodland Critters.
** Speaking of the Satanic Woodland Critters, in the Imaginationland episode they are so ''evil'' that they scare the shit out of all the other villains, doubling as yet another CMOA for Cartman.
--> '''Jason Voorhees:''' Man, I do NOT want to meet the kid that dreamt those things up.
* Jesus saving Santa in Red Sleigh Down. Now there's a deific sacrifice you can get behind.
** And Santa then standing over his sadistic interrogator as [[OhCrap he cowers]] and blowing his brains out.
-->'''Santa:''' I couldn't do it... I just couldn't let him live, he shocked Santa's balls!
** From the same episode, when Jesus confronts the men holding Santa:
--->'''Jesus''': My children, you should know something. *pulls out a knife* ''I'm packing.''
** There's also Jesus destroying William Donahue with a glaive from ''Film/{{Krull}}'' in the "Fantastic Easter Special", and then calmly slipping on a pair of sunglasses.
* In one of the more down-to-earth moments of awesome on the show, one-time character Gary Harrison gives Stan one hell of a monologue about the way he's been criticizing his nothing-but-nice family and his Mormon faith throughout the episode "All About the Mormons".
--->'''Gary:''' Look, maybe us Mormons believe in crazy stories that makes absolutely no sense, and maybe Joseph Smith did make it all up. But I have a great life and a great family, and I have the Book of Mormon to thank for that. The truth is, I don't care if Joseph Smith made it all up because what the church teaches now is loving your family, being nice, and helping people. And even though people in this town might think THAT'S stupid, I still choose to believe in it. All I ever did was to try and be your friend, Stan, but you're so high and mighty you couldn't look past my religion and just be my friend back. You've got a lot of growing up to do, buddy. Suck my balls.
* The entire town gets one in "Red Man's Greed". The populus marches out of buildings and down the road to the gathering of bulldozers, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z38tAnlFIeo singing the chorus to "Love is a Battlefield" in Acapella.]]
* Jesus in the Imaginationland trilogy.
** Hell, the entire Imaginationland trilogy is South Park's ([[TheMovie second]]) SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome.
* In ''Super Best Friends'', the moment where David Blaine eats his own head!
* Morgan Freeman was depicted reading the first three chapters of "The Poop That Took A Pee" in ''The Tale of Scrotie [=McBoogerballs=].'' The only shame is they didn't get the real deal to guest voice.
* Satan throwing his fight with Jesus when, after the weigh in, everyone in South Park, save one person, changed their bets to Satan, due to his 200+ lbs over Jesus' weight.
** And that one bet for Jesus was made by Satan himself, so he ends the episode with the pretty sweet consolation prize of a great deal of the townspeople's money.
* The entire episode ''"200"''. So many {{Continuity Nod}}s and FanService, it practically defines ContinuityPorn.
** And then in ''"201"'', [[spoiler: there's Scott Tenorman's ''ComicBook/TheKillingJoke'' inspired return]].
** "Revenge is a dish best served... [[spoiler: chili]]."
* Towelie in his debut episode, near the end when he is lowering Stan, Kyle and Cartman to try to let them grab their Okama [=GameSphere=], as the place is falling apart. The GS-401 towel tells Towelie he has to decide between saving the boys' lives and getting high. Towelie declares that he chooses both, and stretches out far enough to grab GS-401's joint and get high, allowing Kyle to grab the [=GameSphere=] and escape just in time before the platform they are on collapses.
* The Super Best Friends, period.
* "There's a real hoot for ya, Woodsy!"
** Please let it be known this is Freddie freakin' Krueger, who was GoodAllAlong, saving the others from a demonic Woodsy the Owl. Bad ass? Bad ass.
* The return of [[spoiler:Mr. Hankey]] in ''I Should Never Have Gone Ziplining''.
* First Lady Michelle Obama beating up Cartman in order to fight childhood obesity in ''Raising the Bar''. Would normally be DudeNotFunny, but this is ''[[{{Jerkass}} Eric]] [[FatBastard Cartman.]]''
** From the same episode, [[HeroOfAnotherStory James Cameron]] being the one who saves the day by raising the bar back and setting society's standards to the correct levels, then proceeding to steer his ship into a storm on route to the set of ''Avatar 2''. When his crewmembers say people should know about what he did, he responds:
--> '''James Cameron:''' James Cameron doens't do what James Cameron does for James Cameron. James Cameron does what James Cameron does because James Cameron ''is''... James Cameron.
** A more meta example is the episode winning an Emmy, which is a rather apt one for it to go to given its lesson about keeping standards high.
* Mr. and Mrs. Weatherhead are horrible abusers, but at the same time, they put Cartman in his place. Mr. threatening Cartman with the [[CoolAndUnusualPunishment punishment room]]. While Mrs. calls him out on his pronunciations.
--> '''Mrs. Weatherhead:''' [[PunctuatedForEmphasis My name.. is not... "Mee-eem".]]
* The epic journey of Lemmiwinks the gerbil to escape Mr. Slave's body after being shoved up his ass, freeing the souls of all the other animals that have suffered the same fate along the way.
* Cesar Millan's appearance as the Dog Whisperer, aka the only time a celebrity hasn't been ripped on by South Park. He's sent to help Mrs. Cartman control Cartman and does it by treating him like a disobedient dog who needs to learn their place. The first thing he does is walk into the house and ignore Cartman and nip his neck with two fingers each time Cartman tries acting out. He and eventually Mrs. Cartman manage to completely break down Cartman and make Mrs. Cartman the dominant one in their relationship. If it wasn't for StatusQuoIsGod (he needs to leave since his work is done, causing Mrs. Cartman to feel lonely again, which results in her turning Cartman back into her best friend instead of a son), Cesar would have done the impossible and suffered no reprecussions for it.
* Patty Hamill, the wife of the Vagisil creator from ''Poor And Stupid'' who has been treating her like garbage throughout the whole episode, has enough of his crap and commandeers a crashed NASCAR car which she then uses to outrace Cartman (who was now the Vagisil spokesman) and runs him off the track. She flawlessly wins the race and destroys her husband's company after years of emotional abuse, and the best part is not only does she ''not'' care about ruining her husband's career, but she ''never even had any speaking parts'' throughout the whole episode.
