* Clovis. This cat's got the heart of a lion.
** Him leading all of the town's cats to save the day.
** The title of the soundtrack cue completes it: "Let the Cats Run."
** Look, let's face it. In a movie where every human character is an incompetent or a victim, Clovis is the actual hero of the film.
* Ira, the sheriff in a funny way. He shoots out the doorknob and sees the monstrous Mary who has a cat on her back. He blasts her in the chest, also blowing away the kitty. Upon seeing that the gun had no effect, he takes off and is later thrown into the yard by Mary and gets two fingers cut off by a claw trap and he wings it at the back of the Mary Monster's head which distracts her long enough from Tanya long enough for the cats to ambush her, but sadly not fast enough to prevent Mary from impaling him on a wooden fence.
* Clovis' owner, Andy, gets a tiny one [[DyingMomentOfAwesome just before his death]], when he gets up and shoots Charles. Yes, it does nothing and Charles takes the gun and kills him with it, but this is notable in that Andy did it after GETTING A PENCIL RAMMED DEEP INTO HIS EAR (and falling in such a way that it got ''rammed in further''). 99.8 percent of horror film bit characters would have been dead by that alone: Andy actually gets up and tries to take his killer with him.
