* Warden breaking up the fight between Maggio and Judson, without having to throw a single punch. Even when Judson has a knife, Warden smashes a bottle and calmly holds it, daring him to make a move. He also rightfully shuts down Maggio's hot temper, making it clear any more fights won't be tolerated. It establishes him as a BadassPacifist and AFatherToHisMen - showing he would be a much better leader than Holmes.
* Karen's ReasonYouSuckSpeech to her husband after she's told him she wants a divorce (not a statement said lightly in the 1940s either). She chews him out for having the nerve to worry about a potential scandal that might affect his reputation, when for their entire marriage he's been having affairs of his own.
* Karen gets another in an earlier scene with Holmes; when he tiptoes around, claiming to be on business conferences, she snarks that she doesn't care what he does but...
--> "I just want you to know that I am ''not'' as stupid as you believe all women are."
* Karen likewise gets to refute Warden's attempts at shaming her for the affairs she's had. She retorts that she a) has a husband who's been shamelessly cheating on her for years, b) lost a baby entirely because of said husband's neglect, c) can't have any more children as a result, and d) has been trying to get over that trauma by seeking comfort in other people. Warden is rightly ashamed of his earlier statements.
* Prewitt finally having [[TheDogBitesBack enough of Galovitch's abuse]], getting into an intense bareknuckle fight there and then on the lawn. While he takes his lumps at the start, he fights back and makes it very obvious that all his bullies [[BullyingADragon are lucky he's been holding back]].
