* The 2012 Academy Award for Best Original Song went to Bret for writing "Man or Muppet" in ''Film/TheMuppets2011''. There was only one other nominee that year: "Real in Rio" from ''WesternAnimation/{{Rio}}''. Jemaine, though not involved with the nominated song, played the villain in ''Rio'' and co-wrote his VillainSong. So in a roundabout way, the ''entire'' race for Best Original Song in 2012 was between the two members of Flight of the Conchords.
