* Sarene verbally PAWNS Iadon [[TheReasonYouSuckSpeech by revealing to him how she played him all along and utterly destroying him]]. Iadon's left ''crying'', and gets so broken he starts making human sacrifices in order to convince the gods to kill Sarene.
* Raoden, with nothing but his wits and his faith in people, manages to turn two of the three criminal lords of Elantris to his side and convince the people to actually start to rebuild the city, turning it from a place of desperation to an actual functional society.
* When Hrathen confronts the real villain of the story.
---> '''Hrathen:''' I thought you understood by now, Dilaf. ''Nothing'' [[MagnificentBastard I]] do is ''just'' for show.
** To elaborate, it was tradition for Derethi priests to wear heavy armor at all times as their vestments. For obvious practical reasons priests typically wore fake armor that was significantly lighter and more comfortable. When Hrathen is ambushed, he reveals that he really has been wearing his heavy armor at all times, meaning he was completely ready for the ambush.
* Hrathen's last actions also count. In his last moments he reaches Dilaf and uses his arm enhanced by Dakhor's magic to necklift and choke him and then snap his neck. The fact that he doesn't say a word and that nothing Dilaf does seems to even slow him down is what makes it really awesome.
* The closing portion of the book. The fatal flaw that had corrupted Elantris is suddenly corrected, and all the withered zombie like creatures become [[PhysicalGod glowing embodiments of magical might]], walk out of a raging inferno, and start kicking ass.
* Kiin breaking out his old axe and showing why it's not a good idea to screw with someone who went by a name which meant "Crushedthroat Revenge."
