''Taboo-Tattoo'' is a FightingSeries by Shinjirou about a boy who is given an odd tattoo on his palm by an old man whom he [[SamaritanSyndrome saves from a thug]]. Not long after this boy, Seigi (AKA [[NamestoTrustImmediately Justice]]) got it, he meets a mysterious girl, who punches him in the face, and later steals his phone. Running after her gets him [[CurbStompBattle more than he bargained for]], though, and he ends up drawn into the beginning of what might be the start of international war...

Became an anime starting in the summer of 2016.

!!Tropes:

* ACupAngst: Izzy certainly doesn't like Touko and Lisa's large racks.
* AlternateHistory: After World War II, a new kingdom emerged and quickly became a super power. It's called the Kingdom of Selinistan.
* AnimalMotifs: Power Crest users tend to have a nickname based on an animal. Izzy is the rabbit, Lisa is a fox, Iltutmish is a stray cat, etc...
* AnyoneCanDie
* AsLongAsItSoundsForeign: Izzy. That's just a nickname. Her actual name is Bluesy Fruesy. Yeah.
* BadAssNormal: Even before getting or activating his Spell Crest, Seigi was beating up thugs on the street and exchanging blows with Shields, though not very well in the latter.
* BarrierWarrior: Kar's power.
* BirdsOfAFeather: Tom and Tamaki quickly become friends because both are Otaku.
* BloodyMurder: Invoked. [[spoiler: Tom and Izzy tell Seigi that blood is his activation key, though this is a lie.]]
* BlowYouAway: Izzy's spell crest is a variant, allowing her to shoot blasts of compressed air and to shield herself with them.
* CoolShades: BB wears a pair, even at night.
* DespairEventHorizon: [[spoiler: Both Seigi and Izzy cross this when BB is consumed by Seigi's source, and when Touko is devoured. Izzy also [[AnArmAndALeg loses her left arm]].]]
* DoubleStandardRapeFemaleonFemale: Touko seems to be a common molestation target for the cast; most notably by Arya.
* GeneralRipper: Colonel Sanders gives that vibe.
* GreyAndGreyMorality: No side seems to be good, though admittedly that's through lack of information.
* LadyOfWar: Kar Shekar, vice-commander of the Brahmans.
* LeaningOnTheFourthWall: Tamaki is an Otaku and proposes to his also Otaku girlfriend right before a mission despite both knowing that's raising a DeathFlag.
* MadScientist: Professor Wiseman, even lampshaded by Izzy.
* MauveShirt: Strong contender for king of this trope. There are plenty of non-main characters who do get names and personality, but if they're the good guys, they could very well be offed in the very same chapter. Best examples are chapters 5 and 19.
* MentorOccupationalHazard: [[spoiler: BB.]]
* MeetCute" Lampooned. When
* MoodWhiplash: ''Taboo-Tattoo'' has the frightening tendency to go from happy-go-lucky romantic comedy to bloody carnage in the space of a chapter.
* MsFanservice: Lisa.
** Touko as well, considering how much [[BuxomIsBetter is made of her chest.]]
* NewTransferStudent: Izzy.
* TheObiWan: BB.
* OlderThanTheyLook: Izzy.
* OneSuperOnePowerSet: Zig-Zagged: While there is only once source of power in the series (the crests), and each crest only provides one unique power, they each come with a package deal of superhuman strength, speed and healing.
* PantyShot
* PatientChildhoodLoveInterest
* PlayingWithFire: Lisa's Power Crest.
* PowerOfTheVoid: Void Maker.
* PowerTattoo: ''No kidding.''
* PsychoLesbian: By one indicator, Princess Ahyrabata.
* RazorWire: Lurker's Power Crest.
* RoyalsWhoActuallyDoSomething: Princess Ahyrabata, and her something is "Usurp the throne and [[HiddenAgendaVillain begin plotting.]]"
* SphereOfDestruction: Void Maker
* SuperEmpowering: Spell Crests, apart from granting a unique special ability, also boost the person's physical abilities in a variety of ways:
** SuperStrength
** HealingFactor
** MadeOfIron
** SuperReflexes
** SuperSpeed
* TheStinger: Episode 3's post-credits scene involves Iltutmish and R.R. Lakha being sent on a mission to assassinate Lisa, Izzy's friend.
** In Episode 5, Seigi is confronted by BB, who he tries to fight, but to no avail.
** Episode 6, a mysterious man discovers Brahman, and vows to defeat the Kingdom.
** In Episode 10, [[spoiler: Sanders is attacked by the Princess.]]
** In Episode 11, [[spoiler: Izzy and her comrades arrive at the ruins and find Seigi impaled.]]
* TooDumbToLive: [[spoiler: Touko, who should have stuck with Tom's side than go to Seigi in Episode 8.]]
* TrainingFromHell: Seigi's grandfather.
* TransformationTrinket: Spell Crests need specific materials to activate. The material needed seems to be unique to each Spell Crest.
* WagerSlave
* WhamEpisode: Episode 8.
* WholeEpisodeFlashback: Episode 9.
* {{Yandere}}
