Reksio is a Polish character from the TV animated series of the same title. Reksio was created by the Polish director Lechosław Marszałek. The cartoons featuring this character were made between the years of 1967 and 1990 by Studio Filmów Rysunkowych in Bielsko-Biała. All the episodes depict the adventures of a friendly, piebald dog named Reksio, with his animal friends - hens, cats, other dogs and their owners. Almost every episode lasted about ten minutes (with exception to episode "Reksio Remontuje" ("Reksio Renovates") which lasted almost twelve minutes).

This cartoon has been adapted into books (which were published by Wydawnictwo PIK and later by Papilon Publicat (previously Wydawnictwo Posiedlik-Raniowski i Spółka).) and the PC games made and published by Aidem Media, which have a reputation of being absurdly hard for kids games.

!!Tropes featured include:
* CartoonDogBreed: Reksio is a dog looking like a Jack Russell Terrier or Wire Fox Terrier with brown spot on left side on his eye and on his back and noodle ears.
* CharacterTitle
* DisabilitySuperpower: In the episode "Reksio Terapeuta" ("Reksio the Therapist"), a cockerel using a toy car as a wheelchair develops strong wings (from pushing it) and learns to fly. He saves his brother from a hawk.
* DomesticOnlyCartoon: Although credits for some later episodes featured the names of North Korean animators, those cartoons weren't outsourced to the country at all. The animators did the job inside the Studio Filmów Rysunkowych building in Bielsko Biała, Poland
* EarlyInstallmentWeirdness: In the first episode called "Reksio Poliglota" ("Reksio the Polyglot"), Reksio wore a black collar (which was absent in following episodes) and his master looked slightly like a stick figure. Also, the first six episodes were probably pilots to the series as they didn't feature the well known theme song.
* ForeignReScore: Aside from having an AlternativeForeignThemeSong, VGI Entertainment's (now V&S Entertainment)(who distributed the series outside Poland in years 1999-2014) versions of the episodes replace Zenon Kowalowski's score with original compositions by Mark Bradley.
* HeroicMime: Our protagonist never speaks, whether on screen or computer monitor.
* InstrumentalThemeTune
* MimeAndMusicOnlyCartoon
* NearlyNormalAnimal: Of the Largely Normal kind. Reksio is obviously intelligent, occasionally has human-like mannerisms, can hold things as if with hands and walk on two legs, but behaves mostly like a dog and cannot speak with humans.
* NintendoHard: The games are puzzles, and many of them have adults scratching their heads about them.
* SixtyFiveEpisodeCartoon
* TalkingAnimal: In the games, every animal except for Reksio talks.
