Do We Have This One??

In a video game in any genre other than action or action/adventure, falling into a bottomless pit doesn't kill you, it just sends you back to the start of the area - it just never happened. Sometimes you lose a bit of health in the process, possibly implying that it did happen and you spent God only knows how long climbing back up.

    {{Fly}}
    Kingdom Hearts, Sly Cooper, and Spy Fiction are the three games I've played most recently which do this.

    The Shadow Temple in Ocarina of Time. It's not the only place in the 3D Zelda games to do this but I bring it up because I'm currently playing through it and the room I am yet to get through features a lot more backtracking than just climbing back up when you fall.

    Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal'', in one of the gyms. The Pokemon games don't normally feature this kind of situation, so this was a one-off example.
