Parenthood Episode

A character is put into a fatherly/motherly position for the episode.

Name Space:
Page Type:
Alice and Bob are walking through the meadow and notices a abandoned bird. They quickly come to it's aid and take it home, where they feed it, give it a home. They then have to go through the pains of raising it up, and at the end, start to feel sad, knowing that they have to let it into the wild.

What else does that sound like? Yep that's right- parents!

To clarify, it doesn't have to be an abandoned animal they are raising, it could be an orphan, or even a pet. All they have to do is raise it like it was a child.

Expect lots of Time Skips in this episode. If the "parent" decides to keep him for more than a single episode, or even permanently, it must go under Parental Substitute.

Examples go here.

Western Animation
  • Spongebob Squarepants had an episode like this. Spongebob and Patrick encounter an abandoned clam, and raise it as it's own. Infamously, at the end of the episode, Patrick says, "Lets have another,".

  • Futurama. In one epsiode, Fry takes care of an baby alien as if it was his baby; he even sat on it's egg! The later part of the episode has Fry hunt it down, for it supposedly killed goats that was essential to a planet's survival.

Needs a better description, and of course more examples..
