No, I'm not knocking Seinfeld here. What this trope is about is the fact that certain comedy acts or styles become so well known that they become cliched, and so cliched everybody thinks they suck.

The major example is, of course, Jerry Seinfeld's comedy. Almost every hack stand-up comedian on TV, in film and literature seems to have a style that's extremely similar to Jerry Seinfeld's stuff.

There are undoubtedly other examples, though?
