A prayer or magic not drawn from gods, but as used by gods themselves.
When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and said to the waves, "Silence! Be still!" Suddenly the wind stopped, and there was a great calm.In the basic practice of theurgy (or the more everyday act of prayer), a person calls upon an outside force usually higher than one's self to carry out a task, involving anything from chanting to dance to long involved entreaty to the deity in question. But what if the person is the deity in question? Well, they can just use Direct Power out of their own energy to carry out an effect. When the process is magic, this might involve simply lifting a finger and pointing to the object in question, when it's a spoken prayer this might involve a prayer as well, but it would be a much different prayer than mere humans would speak. Rather than asking God for something, he/she/they is God and can simply ask the object itself to carry out the effect. "Door, I ask you to open yourself" or similar is not uncommon. This is usually a sort of litmus test for whether or not a person really is an immortal of some kind, since if they are human they can't do this, and if they ask for one other deity, they probably aren't an immortal. Note that this trope only applies when there is a human form of faith or magic, and the direct type is also shown used by higher beings.
