Impersonating your own accent
This when comedians do an exaggerated version of their own native accent when doing impressions of their friends and relatives back home
Something a lot of comedians do is exaggerated impressions of the people they grew up around as part of their act. Something odd that a lot of them also do when doing this is putting on an exaggerated stereotypical version of the accent the people they grew up around had despite the fact they them selves have that exact same accent
- English stand up Russell Howard tends to put on an exaggerated version of a West Country accent when making fun of people back home despite the fact he himself has a genuine West Country accent
- English stand up Russell Kane does several versions of his native Essex accent for different serotypes associated with the county
