I've seen this one a couple of times now. The hero or other main character has some kind of deep, dark secret, but due to amnesia, magic, or just never having been told is unaware of it. The catch is that /every other significant cast member/ knows about it, and they're all actively keeping the character in the dark for their own good or because it's crucial that he or she /not/ know for some reason.

How does Locked Out of the Loop sound?

I can't help but think of the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya here...but yes, Locked out of the Loop sounds perfect.

Most of the examples I can think of are where the character is locked out by his/her parents and the world in the beginning and awakens, but as for the Haruhi-esque one... there must be some, I just can't think.

Not from the beginning, but there's a stretch of time in Dragonball where that applies... Son Goku has no idea he turns into a giant monster ape when he sees the moon. His friends find out, but they don't want to tell him, IIRC because they don't want him to find out he accidentally killed his grandfather.
