One of the most common gestures when being told to be quiet or not want to talk to someone is to pretend to zip up your mouth, as a sign that they wish not to say another word. However, in animation, when one character says something stupid, either another character will zip up that one character's mouth like an actual zipper, or the character that said it while do it himself.
