    The description needs work. I don't really understand what "myopia" means, honestly, but when you say "the tropes listed are morally, and often literally, about [myopia]" I understand it even less. How can something "morally be about myopia"?

    Merriam-Webster's definition is "a narrow view of something" or "a lack of foresight or discernment " and a physical issue that makes fair-away objects difficult to see.

    Do you mean "figuratively"?
