Fantastic Vacuum Cleaning

Vacuum cleaners in only suck dust and dirt in fiction

Name Space:
Main
Page Type:
Trope
For whatever reason, vacuum cleaners (or similar mechanisms) in fiction tend to have their skill in sucking objects exaggerated. Among the many ways (but not limited to) a vacuum cleaner can do in fiction is sucking a person's facial features, rendering anything colorless, sucking people, objects or entire locations much bigger than the object itself, stealing Life Energy, harvest human souls and capture intangible burps.

Bad title. Bad laconic. The description isn't about using a fantasy-based vaccuum cleaner (like an elephant) for your everyday dust cleaning; this is about vaccuums having impossible suction power, often Played For Laughs.
