In Real Life while redheads occasionally have Green Eyes, and even more rarely, Brown Eyes, it is most common for them to have Blue Eyes.

So... what is this trope? "In real life redheads have blue eyes so sometimes fictional redheads do too?" Because that's a bit People Sit On Chairs-ish.

If you can't attach any meaning that links all the manifestations of a character having Red Hair + Blue eyes, then it's not a trope. Besides, I've heard red hair and green eyes at least as often if not more often then blue eyes. In particular red hair and green eyes is linked with being Irish.

Meridia from the upcoming Disney/Pixar movie Brave is an example.

I suggest the name Blue Eyed Redhead.

^^ We already have Green Eyed Red Head and like you said there are no personality traits or things associated with having red hair and blue eyes to make it a trope.

^^ That seems like a better title if only for snowclone value.

I don't think it's all that common compared to other possibilities of eye colour, including green, grey and brown... And "some fictional redheads have blue eyes" is anything but a trope.

Greeneyed Redhead currently has a justification of being associated with the "passionate yet sensible Love Interest" archetype codified by Maureen O Hara. While I have certainly seen a lot of blue-eyed redheads in fiction (Leliana, Teana Lanster, Asuka), I cannot yet grasp what unites them personality-wise. Without that connection, we cannot really speak of a trope yet.
