"Don't I look cute when handcuffed?" is the ideal impression to give with this pose.

Needs A Better Title. I just can't think of a shorter one that covers all the important points.

A stock pose for cheerful ladies roughly from adolescence to mid-twenties is to stand with their arms behind their backs in some fashion. Often accompanied by standing at an off-angle, or twisting a little at the waist.

This is Truth In Television, and has been a popular pose for a number of years. In fiction, it's often one of the ways to set off the more lighthearted, optimistic, and/or flighty young ladies from the more serious, cynical, and/or grounded ones.

Compare this trope (why I need the title to be distinct).

Contrast Rebel Relaxation.
