Say, I wonder if there are enough examples of Punny Names to make their own trope? Not quite a Meaningful Name or a Steven Ulysses Perhero, just a name that makes a pun when you read it quickly.

As usual, I am thinking directly of Beakman's World for the chief one, where the chef character is named Art Burn and the sports commentators are named Jim Shorts and Harry Pitts. Also, Bart's prank call names to Moe on The Simpsons would fall under here. Now, if there are any more, we got a trope...

The Phoenix Wright games have a bunch of them. Dick Gumshoe, Penny Nichols, Will Powers, Jack Hammer, Sal Manella, Ben and Trilo Quist (a ventriloquist and puppet), Winston Payne ("winced in pain", in case you didn't catch on at first - I didn't)...

Everyone in Kim Possible has a pun name, most of which are also meaningful.

Every occurrence of the Newscasters skit on Whose Line Is It Anyway has used these, especially when Greg Sherwood is playing the lead. Best one I've ever heard: Lance Boyle.

They're common in knock-knock jokes and joke book titles. Harry Potter has a few.
