There's a recent trend in soundtracks and trailer music BWONG Used to create a foreboding sense of impending danger BWONG Repetitive interjections of brass BWONG Heavily influenced by Hans Zimmer. BWO- yeah, ok, that's enough. This is a trope recently born over the past couple of years. It started off with Hans Zimmer's score for Inception and its iconic use of this effect, then it was Hans Zimmer re-using the score, then it was a few people using the same score as common trailer music (what's that trope?) and now it is a near requisite part of a Hollywood Blockbuster trailer with several variations on how people make the noise.
