So you think it would be cool if you had a World of Badass. But then what defines a Badass when everyone is? This is exactly what this trope deals with, sort of like Emphasize EVERYTHING. Similarly, in an action movie, having violence everywhere doesn't make the violence more dramatic-it just cheapens it.

Up for Grabs; Rolling Updates if possible. Title suggestions accepted.

What would an example of this even look like?

The title sounds like dialogue. We don't do that anymore. It makes the trope seem like it's about a stock phrase, which we don't do anymore either.

How about calling it Commonplace Exceptionalism? The current title would work better as a page quote.

One of the things they say about Lake Wobegone is that all the children are above average.

Parodied in an episode of Darkwing Duck when DW is taken to a planet where everyone is a superhero, and he's to be their "ordinary citizen" so they have someone to protect.

Tallens: Title accepted. Amy Gdala: Let's take a World Of Badass as an example. If everyone could curb-stomp someone from our universe, then being able to curb-stomp someone from our universe would be the norm, and being able to curb-stomp someone from their universe would be exceptional. Therefore, the value of badassedness in their universe would be relatively low.

I think this is Everyone Is A Super.
