The Chibi-Moon Paradox

Name Space:
Main
Page Type:
Trope
When, for a variety of reasons, a child ends up being the same age - or in the same age group - as his/her parents. Though scenarios where the carachters meet their young parents due to time travel are not rare (like in Back to the Future), in the Chibi-Moon Paradox the family is well aware of their ties and decides or is forced to live together like that. Named after Sailor Moon's daughter in the anime/manga of the same name. In the story, Chibi-Moon (or Chibi-Usa) comes from the future as a child to live with her teenage mother. Other examples: Etta (Fringe, season 5), Emma (Once Upon a Time), River Song (Doctor Who).

Isn't this basically the Kid From The Future?

I don't think so, because the child doesn't have to be from the future. Nor after righting some wrong. But maybe it is too close to Plot Relevant Age-Up. Idk.
