Artists love a lot of things. Some even say Love Is A Drug, Some love their Break Up Song's, some more even love Sanity Slippage songs. A few love the stage so much and creating music so much they have to sing about it, or cover songs about it or celebrate their creativity through creation.

There's probably a few theatre examples of this, where a character also happens to be in the stage business. Something like "Hooray for Hollywood", which glorifies the motion picture industry.

    Indeed there is.

    • Annie Get Your Gun has "There's No Business Like Show Business", which highlights both the bad and the glorious.

"I Write the Songs" - Barry Manilow's biggest hit, ironically he didn't write it.

A bit subjective? It will be at times because song lyrics are often subjective.

    "Vodevil" by Marilyn Manson? Maybe?

Most artists say that this song is about creating their art or the lyrics are obvious like Circus and Angels In The Room
