While it does indeed appear that tropers generally have a more laid-back attitude when it comes to stories, I don't think we need more articles about ourselves... TV Tropes is about others' works and shared tropes, it shouldn't delve too deep into self-analysis. Just sayin', tho.

A conspiracy theory or fringe stuff wouldn't be such if it was widely respected/supported by evidence though...there being few people who support a given CT or fringe belief in a given community that isn't directly connected to them is People Sit On Chairs (I mean, a lot of the time, a lone CT or group thereof will often only support one or two theories and consider the rest as crazy as everyone else does)?

Also, I second that we don't need more troper tropes.

All Tropers Are Skeptics: i.e.; all those people who devote their spare time to dissecting how fiction is created are skeptical. No offence, but this strikes me as People Sit On Chairs

does that means Masonicon(and it's Sock accounts which he currently uses) are the only resident Conspiracy Theorist among tropers?

I have an idea for a trope: what about Most Tropers Dont Believe That Earth Is Flat?

In other words, no, that's not even close to a trope or to anything we'd need (or want).

    @Nithael No Thanks!

what strikes me as People Sit On Chairs is:

Tropers accepting the following statements are true(usually through left-right bias):

    • Anthropogenic Global Warming
    • Islamic Terrorism
    • Humans are the only Sapient Species that exists in the universe and exists only to kill each other and/or causing Global Warming(without system that conspiracy theorists and the like call it 'the Matrix', but believes itself to be Democracy)
    • things like Predator Drones, Renewable Energies, and Consumer Gadgets as well current establishment technologies are the most high-tech things that mankind has ever developed
    • Various Politically Correct issues like: Abortion, Guns, Drugs, Extreme Animal Rights, Gay Rights, Death Penalty, and so on

While accepting the following statements as nonsense(particularly when applies to Real Life):

    • Intelligent Life other than our own
    • Secret Societies other than Mafia
    • supernatural/superhuman/extraordinary powers and abilities of human beings that isn't powered Exoskeleton
    • all things outside those accepted by Mainstream Scientific establishments
    • functional technologies that more advanced than Predator Drones, Renewable Energies, and Consumer Gadgets like Anti-gravity devices
    • creatures like Cryptids and many Mythical Creatures
    • most Conspiracy theories

Fringe theories are fringe because not many people agree with them. TVT is no exception. You'll just have to deal with it.

You also don't seem to realise what People Sit On Chairs actually means.

I think people bashing this project: The Ultimate Crossover Movie is: it has to do with Conspiracy Theories?

and it's Masonicon's duty to makes Fringe Theories no longer Fringe

A huge amount of work of fictions deal with conspiracy theories / fringe science / everything you mentioned and are not hated for it. Men In Black, works using the Who Shot JFK trope, every work that has Nessie / the Yeti / Big Foot / the Roswell Alien...

My point is, no, people don't hate your work just because it has conspiracy theories in it.

What do you think about The Ultimate Crossover Movie(Mega Crossover with Conspiracy Theories) where most(if not all) of the Fringe Stuff in this project are from Our Universe instead of Any Fictional Universes(Oral Traditions are all shares the universe with Real Life)?

You should start a forum thread about this if you want to start a discussion about it. But it's not a trope of course.

    Not a trope.

Could someone explain to me how there is even a tiny, remote bit of tropiness in this? As Roiterie said, this is a topic for the forums, probably OTC if there isn't a thread already. I also agree with Bisected8; most people don't believe in conspiracy theories.

everybody! to make this tropeworthy, the examples of Most Tropers Are Skeptics must restricted to it's Subversions and Aversions!

    Routerie
If a rant is nuked in even the forums, it will definitely not be allowed in the wiki.

If something is not tropeworthy, its aversion is also not tropeworthy, and it cannot be subverted.

probably the aversion of Most Tropers Are Skeptics are Too Rare To Trope?

I can't see how troping contributors beyond people making lists on their own pages can be a good thing -- sounds like a new incarnation of a TT page.

^There ain't any aversions because that implies there's a straight version, meaning it's a trope. There are tropers who follow fringe theories and tropers who don't. There are tropers who have brown hair and tropers who don't. This isn't a media trope; maybe it's comparable to the Just For Fun pages like Most Tropers Are Young Nerds, but those are just that -- fun. This would not be so fun and is being treated as serious by its creator. Do not need.

so can we make this Just For Fun page: Most Tropers Are Skeptics?

I doubt it would stay fun and lighthearted, or if it would even begin that way, there seems to be a lot of venom in this entry.
