Alienated Protagonists

"Why won't anyone believe me?! They're all going to die!!!"

Name Space:
Main
Page Type:
Trope
The protagonist is alienated by his friends and/or family in the middle of the film, leaving him/her to know something that could save the others' lives but he/she cannot share it due to everyone he knows believing he is either crazy or no longer trustworthy. This often times gets resolved by the protagonist doing something to win back the trust of everyone, but sometimes it leads to everyone being killed of disappearing because of the antagonist, who often times has a hand in alienating the protagonist in the first place

Wouldn't this be covered by the Cassandra Truth trope? That's a more general trope about someone trying to tell the truth about something but no one believes him or her.
