Bringing This Up Now (needs better title)

Name Space:
Main
Page Type:
Trope
An example of Fridge Logic where a character has lived for a substantial amount of time and only suddenly learns something or asks a question much later than they realistically should have.

Examples:

  • In He-Man and She-Ra: A Christmas Special, despite living on Eternia for at least 18 years and mentioning Christmas is a very special holiday on her home planet, Queen Marlena is only just bringing it up.
  • In Casper's First Christmas, Hairy Scary doesn't know about Christmas or Santa Claus until Casper tells him, even though they're ghosts and Hairy is a lot older than Casper.
