The name provides no context to the trope other than the show's name and "ing". It's little better than "The (character name)".

Neutral:

Roboteching has 149 wicks and 897 inbounds.
A rename could still include the show as the trope namer, as some of the proposed renames on the thread show.

Cons:

Changing the name may not do anything stop the misuse for Homing Projectile.
Redirects Are Free—if the name is too opaque, the default solution is to add alt-titles, not to rename.
Roboteching predates Homing Projectile; if the misused wicks are left over from before Homing Projectile existed, they're not very good evidence.
