• Wicks are being used in Sinkholes to refer to the Trope Namer outside of the context of the trope itself. 14 out of 46 wicks checked were used in this manner; 4 of those 15 were contested. Two additional instances of misuse unrelated to the Trope Namer were also identified, for a total of 12-16 misuses out of 46 wicks, or 26-34% misuse. See this post for details.
• Character Named Trope requires knowledge of a specific series (Harry Potter) in order to understand why the name relates to the definition.
  • Dumbledore's Pop Cultural Osmosis probably goes far enough to establish that he is a wise mentor, but we shouldn't expect a reader unfamiliar with Harry Potter to identify him as eccentric.
