What would be the best way to fix the page?
At issue:
Deciding which pages should have their Real Life sections removed, and be listed on No Real Life Examples Please. Reasons to do so include contentiousness and high potential for flame wars.

Vote UP if you think the page's RL section should be cut.

Vote DOWN if you think the page should still be allowed RL examples.

Items that have been stricken (like so) have already been decided, with ten or more total votes, more than 48 hours on the crowner, and at least a 2:1 yes/no ratio. No further voting is needed on those items.

To check if something has already been voted on, please see Keep Real Life Examples.

Amoral Afrikaner: Calling real-life people evil. [-27th Apr '14 at 06:52:32 AM-]

Broken Aesop: Real life was not created to show morals.

Ill Girl: Real life sick people are not plot devices. Discussing real life people's illnesses. [-[Added 2nd Apr '14 at 02:04:44 AM]-]

Heel Realization: The trope is about someone realizing they're a bad guy. It should be cut under the rule of not calling real people evil.\ [-[Added 2nd Apr '14 at 02:03:03 AM]-]

Abuse Mistake - Is largely theoretical, troper tales, and a serial killer.

Hair-Trigger Temper. For the same reasons why real life examples of Berserk Button should not be allowed. It feels like a Flame Bait magnet.

Failure Is the Only Option: Real Life is not a narrative

Attractive Bent-Gender: Talking about real life people's appearances. Move to make In-Universe examples only. 10th Apr '14 at 08:19:33 PM

Wants a Prize for Basic Decency- Almost exclusively devoted to bashing real people who do this, and some examples were getting into controversial territory.
+14 (yeas:16 nays:2)
Narnia Time: Impossible in real life as the trope is written, with shoehorned RL examples.

Progressively Prettier. Talking about real life people's appearances. TV Tropes doesn't do that.

Viewers Are Morons: Recommended to make In-Universe only. Generalized examples, Troper Tales, fan conflict recounting, natter, complaining.

A Villain Named "Z__rg". I move for categorization under NRLEP on the grounds that it's a villain trope.
+12 (yeas:15 nays:3)
Underestimating Badassery - The Real Life section invites aggressive editing by being all about how nation X beat nation Y or was underestimated by them.

Higher Understanding Through Drugs: Too controversial, might lead to flame wars, listing real life examples might be considered as inciting people into committing crime. Also, Drugs Are Bad is already included on the No Real Life Examples, Please! list for pretty much the same reasons.
+11 (yeas:13 nays:2)
Mermaid Problem: Shoehorned examples, can't happen in real life.

Happy Ending Override: The trope is about he sequel starting out with the previous installment's happy ending negated and things much worse than when they began. The real life folder contains examples from world wars and such, shoehorning a narrative trope into a real life context.

Bunny-Ears LawyerBunnyEarsLawyer.Real Life has some flamebaitey stuff, including labeling political affiliation as insanity. There's enough to warrant just killing the page, I think.
+9 (yeas:11 nays:2)
Political Correctness Gone Mad: Flame Bait and Natter magnet as well as calling RL people mad in a way.
+8 (yeas:10 nays:2)
Gainaxing: Not possible in Real Life, considering it's about "The act of drawing a female character with unusually large and buoyant breasts and without a bra, then animating every individual movement.

Deadly Doctor - it has no real life section anyway (though it's not on the index), because the only people who would qualify for this in Real Life would be biological weapons creators, who shouldn't be given the fame of even notoriety. [Added 2nd Apr '14 at 12:24:32 AM]
