What would be the best way to fix the page?
At issue:
Trope might have been okay in the wiki's early days, but if it was suggested today, it would certainly be rejected for violating our policy on Complaining About Shows You Don't Like. Thus it needs radical treatment.
This issue has been resolved and voting is closed.
 +4 (yeas:15 nays:11) Narrow it down to in-story use and parodies of the concept only. Send everything else to Darth Wiki.
Pros - keep the basic definition and name; move examples back into Main, eliminate natter; what's left of the examples can be merged back into a single page.
Cons - Subjective examples will need several pages to store if we decide to keep them.
-2 (yeas:9 nays:11) Do nothing.
Pros: Keeps long-established and much-used trope name(s), saves a lot of time and effort fixing many, many, many wicks and potholes.
Cons: Further enshrines current Trope Decay, making it harder to ever do anything about it.
-2 (yeas:9 nays:11) Attempt to redefine it to be value-neutral.
Pros - keep most examples after removing the quality judgement, and in Main as opposed to YMMV.
Cons - requires a rename to lose the negative connotation associated with "decay"; risks becoming too similar to Adaptation Distillation or a case of People Sit On Chairs.
