+3 (yeas:3 nays:0) Ep 225 of the Original Series, where Bulbasaur is sent to act as a peace keeper at Oak's Lab, and appears to have been crushed after knocking an Oddish out of the path of a large boulder. This is immediately followed by a drawn out flashback montage.
Of course it turned out that Bulbasaur had survived unharmed... but it was one of the saddest fake-outs I ever witnessed.
+2 (yeas:2 nays:0) Explorers of Sky adds -another- one at the end of the Dark Future special episode, including a tender moment of Grovyle and Celebi cuddling.
