When Wesley is dying, and Illyria offers to change to look like Fred.
Illyria: Would you like me to lie to you now?
Wesley: Yes. Thank you.
Yes. Hello there.
Fred death in "A Hole In The World"
Doyle's Heroic Sacrifice. We only knew him for 9 episodes, but he left such an effect on the show and viewers. RIP.
The end of "Five by Five". In the middle of Faith and Angel's fight, she slowly starts to lose control, then starts crying and begging - she pleads with Angel to kill her. He refuses, and she breaks down and just weeps in his arms.
"Oh, and you're welcome."
When Angel joined Wolfram and Heart so they'd erase Connor's troubled mind after Angel killed him. That one scene where Angel is lurking outside new-Connor's house and watching him be happy with his fake-family is the worst part.
Don't forget the ridiculously depressing scene in "Salvage" where Wesley talks to his hallucination of Lilah after her death. Alas Poor Villain does not begin to cover it.
Sad isn't always bad. Sometimes a good new beginning can be sad. Such as the end of "Happy Anniversary" in which Wesley, Gunn and Cordelia decide to continue the good fight.
