Even after losing his best friend and rival who betrayed their village and nearly killed him, Naruto refuses to give up on Sasuke. His mentor tells him in no uncertain terms that he's an idiot for not giving up on someone that doesn't want to be saved, and that his life will be in constant danger if he doesn't wise up. Naruto's reply is simple:
Naruto, completely worn out after fighting Pain, is carried by Kakashi back to the village because he can hardly walk. Once they arrive, Naruto is greeted by the entire village, probably every single person in it, that had shunned him since the day he was born. And they are cheering for him. He has finally found the acceptance that he has longed for his whole life.
