* ArcFatigue: The Yakitate 25 arc starts off decent enough, with some surprising plot points (like Azuma losing for the first time in the series), but quickly falls into a [[StrictlyFormula strict formula]] so bad that the reader can predict how every single match will play out, right down to the basis of the gags.
%%* EnsembleDarkhorse: "Kid".
* GermansLoveDavidHasselhoff: Brad Kidd, an incidential character who is known as Kuroyanagi's high school classmate, is really popular in Taiwan, to the point he become a meme there as people photoshop his face on all sorts of character or paraphrasing some of his famouse lines.
** This series is popular in the Philippines due to many fans were also fond of breads and bakery in general.
* HoYay: Ken-chan & Mokoyama, Kanmuri & Kuroyanagi-sempai.
** Meister Kirisaki & Ryou Kuroyanagi also count, particularly during the Pantasia Newcomers Arc:
*** Kuroyanagi nearly kisses Meister while reacting to Kanmuri's bread in the semi-finals round (which involved Ryou reliving the last kiss he had with his previous girlfriend from Harvard, Cathy and so nearly kissed Meister in reality as consequence). Meister himself has a mostly calm expression and blocks Ryou's kiss with a hand, despite Ryou ''literally stroking his hair and being about to kiss him,'' and Meister simply states that he didn't expect to be the object of Kuroyanagi's affections.
*** Kuroyanagi later almost kisses Meister '''''again''''' because he was in the middle of kissing an angel (who coincidentally looks similar to Cathy) while coming back to life at the end of him reacting to Azuma's bread in the semi-finals.Please note this happened ''while Meister was checking on the dead-at-the-time Kuroyanagi, so Kuroyanagi literally grabbed him and pulled Meister on top of him to kiss him.'' The kicker is that ''Meister prepared for this to happen again'' by changing his mask so a lower part would appear and block Kuroyanagi from kissing him. Because of these two incidents, there are a few fanworks that feature the two as a couple.
*** Later on in the Yakitate!!25 Arc, Meister [[spoiler: (who is competing on St. Pierre's side against Azuma due to Yuiichi Kirisaki controlling him via the Brain Gopan)]] addresses Kuroyanagi as "Kuroyanagi-kun"[[spoiler: despite being the contestant and Kuroyanagi being the judge rather than their usual interactions of boss and employee]]. He apologizes after Kuroyanagi scolds him for it, but even then Kuroyanagi's scolding is far less nasty to him [[{{DrillSergeantNasty}} than he would be to anyone else who spoke to him so informally,]] as he doesn't linger long on it after Meister apologizes.
* LoveToHate : Yukino Azusagawa. Not only did she throw Tsukino's mother's ashes on a dead tree, but she also [[spoiler: sabotaged Kawachi and Kanmuri's semi-finals match in the Pantasia Newcomers Arc, worked with Yuiichi Kirisaki for St. Pierre to take over Pantasia, and tried to screw over Azuma's finals match in the Pantasia Newcomers Arc with Kanmuri by stealing his petalite board and destroying it.]] And those are only a few of the many heinous things she did. ''No wonder many fans hate her.''
* MemeticMutation: Brad Kidd's face is often a subject of photoshop by the fans.
* MoralEventHorizon:
** Yuuichi Kirisaki returned home to his starving and dying kids while they were respectively 10 and 5 to eat a large bread right in front of them and denying them to eat any of it, all the while commenting on how delicious it was. [[spoiler:Later, it's revealed this was due to the influence of the Devil Bread, meaning this instance belongs to it instead.]]
** Yukino once left Tsukino to die in a well in a snowy area, which would have worked if it weren't for Azuma's bread. In-universe, the main characters speculate that she never truly crossed it and that she was simply [[EnfanteTerrible born evil]].
* SignatureScene: The making of 324-layered Croissant remains the most iconic and the most memorable moment among many fans of the series. It got to the point where fans often referenced this scene and has attempted to recreate an actual croissant with 324 layers in real life.
* SuspiciouslySimilarSong: Does [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zwSgaLMkcb8 "Daybreak Symphony"]] remind you of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zx3m4e45bTo any other songs with "symphony" in the title]], by any chance?
* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter: Kawaichi's {{Flanderization}} from potential rival to Azuma who can only hope to compete with him through hard work and grueling TrainingFromHell to obnoxious ButtMonkey that even his friends are embarrassed to be around can be hard to watch. The manga even offers him one more chance to finally compete with Azuma on his level, only to cruelly snatch it from him at the last second for the sake of a gag.
* {{Woolseyism}}:
** The English translation of the manga does a pretty good job of translating the Japanese puns into English ones.
** The Indonesian Translations on the other hand use a rather interesting way where the joke is kept and added a translator note. As a bonus, there are several reference to Indonesian culture that is added by the translator.
