!! [[WesternAnimation/TinyToonAdventures The 1990 animated series]]:
* {{Adorkable}}:
** Hamton is a naive, nervous pushover with an optimistic and likable personality.
** Calamity is very nerdy, lovable and endearing most of the time.
* AlasPoorScrappy:
** Watching Elmyra cry is either this or annoying.
** A meta example; when it was initially stated by [[Creator/CreeSummer her voice actress]] that Elmyra was not going to appear in ''Tiny Toons Looniversity'', fans of Elmyra lamented her loss while a number of folks who legitimately disliked the character admitted that Elmyra ''did'' add something to the show at the end of the day, was at least funny in small doses, and that it would feel weird to have ''Tiny Toon Adventures'' without her. This [[https://www.deviantart.com/boskocomicartist/art/Commission-maybe-next-time-869357397 fan art]] perfectly displays the situation Elmyra can find herself in. The amount of upset this caused is possibly why it was later decided to have her return in ''Looniversity'' as she was featured in the SDCC exclusive promotional artwork with a majority of the core cast.
* {{Alternative Character Interpretation}}: Like Daffy before him, is Plucky really a self-centered, greedy {{Jerkass}}, or is he a [[TheChewToy mistreated]], [[RoundCharacter flawed]] [[TheWoobie woobie]] who just wants to be noticed? On the flip side, like Bugs before them, are Buster and Babs the actual heroes of the show, or are they [[UnsympatheticComedyProtagonist unsympathetic]], [[SmugSnake smug]] [[JerkAss jerkasses]] with a serious {{Lack of Empathy}} or conscience? [[http://pluckyducktruth.blogspot.com This blog]] shows it the most.
* {{Anvilicious}}:
** Given its era, the show often tried to give {{A|nAesop}}esops, which often as not wound up {{Anvilicious}}. [[GreenAesop Pro-environment aesops]] were common ("Whale's Tales", the Toxic Revenger shorts, etc.). There was also an episode about why meat-eating is bad that leaned towards parody with an end-cap gag that involves the characters declaring their new-found adherence to vegetarianism and tucking into a veggie tray, only to have the vegetables scream in horror and run away, and an episode about the fur industry that was played a bit more straight. "One Beer" openly parodied these Aesops.
** Then there was the episode "Washingtoon" where MoralGuardians sap the "tooniness" out of the show. Even "Whale's Tales" wasn't this ham-handed.
* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: This was the first cartoon in ''ages'' to use a fully orchestrated score for every episode, just like in the good ol' days.
** The theme song, sung in full voice by the entire cast and orchestrated with an infuriatingly catchy melody, is one for the ages.
** And then there's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LsAiCs66l40 Particle Man]]...
* AwesomeEgo: Montana Max. Already being Yosemite Sam's counterpart is a plus, but in spite of acting so high and mighty thanks to his excess wealth, he provides some really good comedic moments and has his bouts of sympathetic moments, even if some [[UnintentionallySympathetic weren't intentional]].
* BaseBreakingCharacter:
** Fifi. Half the fandom loves her and views her as the show's EnsembleDarkhorse. The other half are sick of her ''because'' of the half that loves her, feeling as if she steals the attention away from the show's memorable humor and writing, as well as a vast portion of the main cast in a vast majority of fanworks, in addition to most of said fanworks falling under a FandomSpecificPlot usually involving her being paired with someone.
** Furrball, albeit it to a lesser extent than Fifi. He's the second most popular character in fanworks, mostly thanks to being the FanPreferredCouple with Fifi, and as a result tends to get caught in the crossfire of the above Fifi wars.
** By the end of it, Elmyra can count as this. While she was quite TheScrappy that eventually got stuffed to [[WesternAnimation/PinkyElmyraAndTheBrain another show]] that destroyed Warner Bros' goodwill, there were many that considered her also part of the 90's nostalgia and acknowledged that if not overused, she could be funny. Creator/CreeSummer, her voice actress, later confirmed that she [[AdaptedOut won't be returning]] in ''Looniversity'', and the fanbase broke. Her fans declared that the revival was ruined because of this and Elmer Fudd, an iconic ''Looney Tunes'' character, would be left without a protegee this time; while others acknowledged that WB had to do some damage control after what she did at [[WesternAnimation/PinkyElmyraAndTheBrain that other show]] and considered her an acceptable sacrifice, and that if they want, WB can create a new student for Elmer while taking notes at their mistakes with Elmyra for improvement. Now it's been confirmed that she is [[https://mobile.twitter.com/Lentendo/status/1550655337824280576 returning]] in ''Looniversity'', people are once again split up on whether it was a good idea to keep her in or not.
* BizarroEpisode: At least by the show's standards, "Slugfest" (from the episode "[[Recap/TinyToonAdventuresS1E48MrPopularsRulesOfCool Mr. Popular's Rules Of Cool]]" is rather weird, starting off with Plucky and Hamton dressing up as the [[WesternAnimation/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles1987 Immature Radioactive Samurai Slugs]] and [[RandomEventsPlot just going on from there]].
* BrokenBase:
** Apparently, "Toon TV" was this when it first aired. Reactions have calmed since then, but it's still an occasional debate about whether it or "Tiny Toon Music Television" is superior. Per the TTA Reference Guide:
---> '''Editor''': Alright already! This one generated more extreme reactions than the (in)famous FIELDS OF HONEY, it seems. Personally I'd recommend it as a Must See Episode(tm) -- the MTV-style mockery was in full force, some *priceless* moments, and the Wang animation was spot-on. However, many folks were annoyed by the archaic choice of song material, the literal interpretations, the absence of They Might Be Giants -- in short, the departure from the slick attitude of TTMTV. It was reported that a TTA staff member, guesting at a convention, said it was their intent to move away from TTMTV's hip angle. Love it or hate it, you best check it out when it next airs ...
** Fans are splot over the plot twist of Plucky being a FakeDefector in "The ACME Bowl". Half of the fans regard it as a clever BatmanGambit, while the other half regard it as a DeusExMachina. Those who think it's the former will remind people that while Plucky may be a coward, [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold he will always help out his friends when push comes to shove]]. Those who believe it's the latter will cynically state their theory that the writers realized [[MoralEventHorizon they went too far in making Plucky a traitor]] and came up with the resolution [[WritingByTheSeatOfYourPants at the last minute]].
** Fans are split over "One Beer", the third and final segment of "Elephant Issues". Some fans say that it completely contradicts its own message of discouraging children to drink alcoholic beverages with how over-the-top it gets. In fact, they've also said that it almost ''encourages'' drinking. Other fans, however, have claimed that the short is not supposed to be taken seriously, also saying that it was deliberately written with a sarcastic edge because the writers had been forced to make AVerySpecialEpisode.
** In terms of video games, gamers often debate over which console in particular had the best game based on the show. [[Platform/NintendoEntertainmentSystem NES]] gamers in particular are likely to pick [[VideoGame/TinyToonAdventures the first game]] or [[VideoGame/TinyToonAdventures2TroubleInWackyland its sequel]] due to each one having a wide variety of playable characters, [[Platform/SuperNintendoEntertainmentSystem SNES]] gamers are likely to pick ''[[VideoGame/TinyToonAdventuresBusterBustsLoose Buster Busts Loose]]'', due to having levels based on specific episodes of the TV series and bonus stages where one can play as one of Buster's friends, and Platform/SegaGenesis gamers are likely to pick ''[[VideoGame/TinyToonAdventuresBustersHiddenTreasure Buster's Hidden Treasure]]'' due to being fairly lengthy and sharing many similarities with the ''Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog'' games. [[Platform/Playstation2 PS2]] gamers who are aware of ''[[VideoGame/TinyToonAdventuresDefendersOfTheUniverse Defenders of the Universe]]'' and have played it via emulator or modded [=PS2=] are likely to pick it due to it's unique, addicting gameplay, the return of all the original voice actors of the show and its large roster of playable characters.
** The animation provided by Creator/KennedyCartoons. One half of the fandom dislikes them for their wonky, off-model animation that is sometimes downright ugly to look at, while the other half will defend them because their work is actually very fluid and expressive, and they were among the more unique studios working on the show. In any case, the show's crew sided with the former camp and fired them after Season 1.
* CrazyIsCool: Gogo Dodo and Babs. Buster can show signs of this as well: how else can you describe hitching a ride ''on a meteor'' just to make sure he wasn't late for school?
* CreatorsPet: ''Someone'' at Warner's clearly really liked Elmyra[[note]](Rumour has it that it was apparently Steven Spielberg himself.)[[/note]]. First, there are a couple ADayInTheLimelight episodes where the characters and formula were [[ReTool retooled]] for an obvious BackdoorPilot for a spinoff called ''Elmyra's Family'' (which never materialized). Then she was [[WesternAnimation/PinkyElmyraAndTheBrain gracelessly stuffed]] into ''WesternAnimation/PinkyAndTheBrain'' in a bout of ExecutiveMeddling that neither the [[BitingTheHandHumor writers]] nor the [[AudienceAlienatingEra audience]] appreciated which led to a TakeThat in a diss track in the ''WesternAnimation/Animaniacs2020'' segment "Gift Rapper".
* CrossoverShip: There's a surprising amount of [[Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog Tails]] X Fifi art and {{Fan Fic}}s on the net. One could argue that there's more of it than Fifi X Hamton, Fifi's ''canon pairing''.
* DesignatedHero: Buster and Babs, who are supposed to be the [[BigDamnHeroes heroes of the show]], but are not above tormenting and heckling others just for fun, even if said person did nothing to deserve such treatment. Such examples include stealing Montana Max's money, among other things, in "Lifestyles of the Rich and Rotten", when the worst thing Montana Max did to them was rudely change his mind about interviewing them, raining anvils down on [[ButtMonkey Plucky]] and blasting him with cannons during "The Anvil Chorus" even though he had just spent the entire episode up to that point tied up, putting Plucky in their place to get beat up by the wolverine that was chasing them in "Washingtoon", and placing bunny ears on him in the Spring Break Special in order to make Elmyra think he's the Easter rabbit ''just'' to get her off their skins [[LackOfEmpathy and they show no concern for Plucky's fate at the hands of her and just crack jokes about it]].
* DesignatedVillain:
** Plucky, he may be a [[ItsAllAboutMe self-centered]], [[{{Jerkass}} rude]], and [[{{Narcissist}} narcissistic]] jerk, but there is the somewhat common occasion where he isn't being a jerk or bothering anyone, yet even during those moments the show still wants us to see him as a [[{{Jerkass}} spiteful jackass]] who [[AssholeVictim deserves every bit of what happens to him]]. Examples include "The Anvil Chorus", where he is tangled up in a rope as Buster and Babs' puppet and gets trampled by the Elmyra clones at one point, and later gets anvils dropped on him and cannons fired at him by the duo, and in "Washingtoon", where he is shown in the wrong for joining forces with the Adults Against Funny Cartoons Chairperson, but he has good reasons to get back at Buster and Babs as they intentionally placed Plucky as the victim of the wolverine when it was chasing them and having it beat him up ''when he wasn't even in the cartoon!''
** Furrball is somehow treated as the villain in cartoons starring him and Sweetie, but most of the time, he's just minding his own business and Sweetie usually goes out of her way to make Furrball's life a living hell.
** Even Calamity, he's usually a nice guy and is never sadistic, but is constantly a victim of Little Beeper's sadistic pranks and he gets run over by a truck with Little Beeper driving it plenty of times and somehow he's treated as the villain since coyotes chase roadrunners.
* EnsembleDarkhorse:
** Julie Bruin, who only appeared in one episode but is quite popular.
** Despite her BaseBreakingCharacter status, Fifi is again the more popular character. She appears infrequently in episodes and only has 4 shorts of her own, but is by far the one of the most popular character with the fandom, for [[MsFanservice obvious]] [[EverythingSoundsSexierInFrench reasons]], and many fans wish that she had a bigger role. Being a RidiculouslyCuteCritter and a [[TheWoobie sympathetic character]] also helps. This is probably also why she got cameos in ''WesternAnimation/{{Animaniacs}}'' as well as her being confirmed to return in ''Looniversity'' despite her predecessor Pepe le Pew being removed from the company's products. Lampshaded in the special ''Night Ghoulery".
---> '''World's Biggest Fan''': And when is Fifi going to get her own series?
** Furball has a fairly sizeable fan following, especially when Fifi is involved (in fanfics, Furball is often written as [[FanPreferredCouple Fifi's boyfriend]]).
** Gogo Dodo is also a very popular character and probably considered the most unutilized. As he only had 4 episodes that focused on him and specifically one solo short, yet is sung in the main intro.
** If only because of the mystery surrounding his exclusion from the show, there's a bit of a following for [[https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/tinytoons/images/a/aa/LR.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20090925210050 Lightning Rodriguez]], the planned counterpart to WesternAnimation/SpeedyGonzales.[[note]]This was during the period when Time-Warner had blacklisted Speedy Gonzales for allegedly being a racist depiction of Mexicans, until it was revealed that [[MexicansLoveSpeedyGonzales Mexican audiences loved the mouse]].[[/note]]
** Marcia the Martian, Marvin's daughter who only appeared in one episode became this with fans wishing she appeared in more episodes. There was quite a lot of fanfare when it was revealed she would be returning for the reboot.
* FandomEnragingMisconception:
** No, ''Tiny Toon Adventures'' is '''not''' a show for pre-schoolers. That's not to say that pre-schoolers can't watch it, but it's designed for general audiences first; kids are the primary demographic, but in more of an age 4-12 bracket. The series has struggled with this misconception with a lot of people dismissing it as "''Looney Tunes'' for babies", not helped by shows such as ''Series/{{Seinfeld}}'' which portrayed it as a toddler show.
** No, the ''Tiny Toon'' characters are not child versions of the classic ''Looney Tunes'' characters. Eventually the classic characters would get young versions in ''WesternAnimation/BabyLooneyTunes''.
** No, Babs Bunny is not a counterpart of Lola Bunny. She actually predates Lola by about 6 years.
* FandomRivalry: Although they were mostly FriendlyFandoms for years, with the announcement that ''WesternAnimation/{{Animaniacs}}'' was getting a reboot, something fans had hoped for ''decades'' would happen to ''Tiny Toons'', more than a few ''Tiny Toons'' fans have become outright antagonistic towards anyone who admits to liking ''Animaniacs'' as a result. Thankfully, this may die down now that ''Tiny Toon Adventures'' [[https://www.polygon.com/platform/amp/2020/10/28/21538738/new-tiny-toons-show-hbo-max-looniversity-genndy-tartakovsky-cartoon-network is getting a reboot as well]].
* FandomSpecificPlot:
** Many fans, upset over what happened to [[EnsembleDarkHorse Fifi La Fume]] at the end of "Out of Odor", have written some alternate endings in which Fifi A.) gets saved, B.) outsmarts Elmyra, C.) gets help from somebody else, D.) manages to escape Elmyra in any way, or E.) gets saved by an unexpected twist.
** There are a lot of fanfics out there that attempt to fix the general mistreatment both Fifi and Furrball get, in no part thanks to them apparently being the writers [[DesignatedMonkey Designated Butt Monkeys]]. Usually by [[FanPreferredCouple pairing the two up in some way.]]
** Most Fifi X [[OriginalCharacter OC]] fics will usually make her more of a ShrinkingViolet around her new crush; often with her saying that this time her crush 'just feels different'.
* FanNickname: The ''Tiny Toon Adventures'' Reference Guide frequently shortens Buster, Babs, Hamton and Plucky to "BBHP" any time the four are in a short together.
* GeniusBonus: Only older viewers or those big on pop culture trivia or game shows will know what Hamton's referencing in "Kon Ducki" when he says, [[NonSequiturThud "I'll take Charley Weaver to block!"]] This is a reference to Cliff Arquette,[[note]] Grandfather to Creator/DavidArquette and his siblings. [[/note]] a regular on ''Series/TheHollywoodSquares'' who appeared in character as Charley Weaver, a character he played on ''Series/TheTonightShow'' and other shows of the era. (At that time, it was still believed the majority of the original run of ''Squares'' was [[MissingEpisode wiped by NBC]]; thankfully, in 2002, someone uncovered a bunch of episodes in storage that were forgotten somehow.)
* GermansLoveDavidHasselhoff: The show is surprisingly popular in Russia and Japan. Not a coincidence in Japan's case. All seven ''Tiny Toon'' video games released during the '90s were made by Creator/{{Konami}}, while ''VideoGame/TinyToonAdventuresBustersBadDream'' and the never-released ''VideoGame/TinyToonAdventuresDefendersOfTheUniverse'' were made by Creator/{{Treasure}}.
* GrowingTheBeard: Season 2 is considered by many to be a step up from Season 1. The worst animation studios from Season 1, Creator/KennedyCartoons and Creator/EncoreCartoons were fired and replaced by Creator/JonMcClenahan and his newly-founded studio Startoons, the show stopped doing straight {{Anvilicious}} episodes (except for the self-aware and satirical "Elephant Issues") and many fan-favorite episodes premiered, such as "Kon Ducki", "Sepulveda Boulevard" and "Buster and Babs Go Hawaiian".
* HarsherInHindsight: While not in the same continuity, all of the romantic moments between Babs and Buster and the "No relation!" RunningGag have become incredibly awkward in light of ''WesternAnimation/TinyToonsLooniversity'', which changes their relationship to, of all things, ''[[RelatedInTheAdaptation twin siblings]]''.
* HilariousInHindsight:
** "Fields of Honey" featured Babs upset that she doesn't have a female role model for her in the Looney Tunes universe. [[Film/SpaceJam Fast forward to 1996]], and you have WesternAnimation/LolaBunny, who was created to be a [[AffirmativeActionGirl positive female role model]] (for better or worse).
** In ''Hollywood Plucky'', a shark spat out Plucky citing he is a vegetarian. A vegetarian shark? [[WesternAnimation/FindingNemo Surely that'll never happen]] [[WesternAnimation/SharkTale in a million years.]]
** A bunny named Buster? [[WesternAnimation/{{Arthur}} Doesn't THAT sound familiar?]]
** In the beginning of "Gang Busters", Buster briefly dresses like [[Film/StayTuned a mouse who would wear the same thing two years later]].
** Compare Plucky Duck to [[Manga/SoulEater a certain other egomaniac who jumps into danger if it brings fame and fortune.]] The best part is, [[Creator/TMSEntertainment TMS]] had a part in both shows. Hell, the entire show in general becomes this once you watch ''Soul Eater''.
** The joke about Roseanne Barr singing the national anthem is referenced when Fifi declared that "It isn't over until ze fat lady sings" Nowadays, [[http://www.today.com/popculture/roseanne-barr-shows-drastic-weight-loss-2D79506026 Roseanne lost a tremendous amount of weight.]]
** Hamton loving disco and being ridiculed for it aged poorly when ''Film/GuardiansOfTheGalaxy2014'' singlehandedly made a cardinal rule for movies to feature 70s music in their soundtracks.
** Michael Jordan's cameo in the Spring Break special becomes funny in retrospect because of [[Film/SpaceJam a certain movie made later that starred him and featured many famous Looney Tunes characters]].
** In ''Whale's Tales'', Buster is taken aback when he learns that Babs has the ability to speak to whales like the baby whale whose mother has been kidnapped. [[WesternAnimation/FindingNemo Do we really have to say what movie made speaking to whales famous a decade later?]]
** This wouldn't be the last time Creator/CharlieAdler voiced [[WesternAnimation/BrandyAndMrWhiskers a manic rabbit]], or [[WesternAnimation/AaahhRealMonsters a creature often mistaken for one]].
** Conversely one episode had Buster do a ''Series/TalesFromTheCrypt'' parody before the Cryptkeeper himself, John Kassir, becoming TheOtherDarrin for Buster after Charlie Adler quit.
** In "Weekday Afternoon Live", Dizzy says "Who cares about Creator/KieferSutherland?!" If [[Series/TwentyFour a hit show]] from a few years later is anything to go by, a lot of people. In the same sketch, Hamton reviews a film called “Gnome Alone Again”, an obvious parody of the Film/HomeAlone series. Many years later, there would be a real film called WesternAnimation/GnomeAlone.
** In "The Return of Batduck", Franchise/TheTerminator can be seen in the Creator/WarnerBros lot. Several years after the episode aired, WB would end up releasing both ''Film/Terminator3RiseOfTheMachines'' AND ''Film/TerminatorSalvation'' instead of Orion and [=TriStar=] like the previous two films[[note]]though Creator/{{Sony|Pictures}}'s Creator/ColumbiaPictures division handled distribution for those films outside of the United States & Canada[[/note]]. This was addressed by a member of Toonzone:
---> "Something weird I noticed in "The Return of Batduck": Arnold driving around the Warner Bros. lot as the Terminator. Arnold... Terminator... Warner Bros.?! You think Peter Hastings knew something at the time that we didn't?"
** It's quite ironic that Danny Cooksey complained about Max always being the bad guy when his career since or during the show has had him mostly playing either bad guys ([[WesternAnimation/StaticShock Hotstreak]], [[WesternAnimation/XiaolinShowdown Jack Spicer]]) or [[JerkAss jerkasses]] ([[WesternAnimation/KickButtowski Brad Buttowski]], [[Series/SaluteYourShorts Budnik]], [[WesternAnimation/HeyArnold Stoop Kid]], [[WesternAnimation/PhineasAndFerb Thaddeus]]).
** A FreezeFrameBonus in “It’s A Wonderful Tiny Toons Christmas Special” is how in the BadFuture world where Buster never was born, Film/EncinoMan won Best Picture. At the time, a TakeThat at the film’s poor reception, but ironically enough, two of its actors (Creator/BrendanFraser and Creator/KeHuyQuan would both end up winning Oscars in 2023.[[note]]for Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor respectively.
** "K-ACME TV" depicts a parody of ''VideoGame/SuperMarioBros1'' where Plucky, the playable character, has to find the Giant Nyah-Nyah which turns him into a giant. ''VideoGame/NewSuperMarioBros1'' introduced the Mega Mushroom, which has the same effect.
** A cartoon with PinkGirlBlueBoy bunny protagonists? [[WesternAnimation/YinYangYo Like that'll ever happen again...]]
** In the episode "A Cat's Eye View", there's a scene where Plucky watches then Disney chairman Jeffrey Katzenberg telling three yes-men of his that he plans to put ''WesternAnimation/SnowWhiteAndTheSevenDwarfs" on home video as he gets out his limo. Two years after this episode aired in 1992, that did indeed happen in 1994.
* ItsTheSameNowItSucks: This is probably the single biggest criticism of the series. Many of the show detractors point out that most of the Tiny Toons are, more or less, carbon copies of their Looney Tunes counterparts and half the show's humor comes from rehashing the same gags and jokes from the original Warner Bros. shorts.
* HypeBacklash: Not the show itself, but a specific character. ''Tiny Toons'' fans who aren't particularly fond of her often feel like Fifi gets overhyped by most ''Tiny Toon'' fans, to the expense of the show's other characters in fan works. Most of it boiling down to those who feel like her entire character boils down to "wants a boyfriend", and that most of her fans like her [[{{Yiff}} for less than wholesome reasons]].
* JerkassWoobie: Plucky. Just look at the torture Hamton's family puts him through in [[WesternAnimation/TinyToonAdventuresHowISpentMyVacation the movie]], not to mention the devastating amount of pain he goes through on the show itself.
* LoveToHate: Montana Max's [[{{Jerkass}} obnoxious behavior]] towards others and [[NoIndoorVoice loudmouth personality]] is exactly what fans of the show like about him since he makes great use for entertainment, and some of the shorts revolving around him are considered interesting to say the least. It helps that his voice actor is Creator/DannyCooksey.
* MemeticMutation:
** "The audience is now deaf." Often used in youtube comments in response to when a video is extremely loud.
%%** "Water go down the ''hoooole!''"
* {{Moe}}: The main cast is a bunch of cute PuniPlush {{Toon}}s [[{{Expy}} based on]] ''WesternAnimation/LooneyTunes'' characters. What did you expect?
* SugarWiki/NoProblemWithLicensedGames: [[VideoGame/TinyToonAdventures The]] [[VideoGame/TinyToonAdventures2TroubleInWackyland Konami]] [[VideoGame/TinyToonAdventuresBabsBigBreak games]] [[VideoGame/TinyToonAdventuresBusterBustsLoose were]] [[VideoGame/TinyToonAdventuresBustersHiddenTreasure regarded]] as decently developed, as were [[VideoGame/TinyToonAdventuresBustersBadDream the GBA game]] and [[VideoGame/TinyToonAdventuresDefendersOfTheUniverse unreleased PS2 game]] by Creator/{{Treasure}}.
* OlderThanTheyThink: For some viewers, it is easy to assume that Babs is the Tiny Toon equivalent of Lola Bunny; however, ''Tiny Toon Adventures'' actually '''predates''' ''Film/SpaceJam'' (Lola's debut) by a few years.[[note]] It's actually a plot point in "Fields of Honey" that Babs has no Looney Tunes equivalent around to be her mentor.[[/note]]
* OneSceneWonder: Julie Bruin. She is memorable for perhaps unwholesome reasons, as well as being a spoof of her voice actor, Julie Brown.
* PopularWithFurries: No surprise, considering the show's cast is 90% anthropomorphic animals. Babs, Fifi, and Julie Bruin, especially, have very devoted fanbases.
%%** "Duck Trek" and "The Acme Bowl" features [[https://tinytoons.fandom.com/wiki/File:DuckTrek-ShirleySweetieAndSaulWalkAway.JPG an appearance]] by Saul Sheepdog, the Tiny Toon counterpart to [[WesternAnimation/RalphWolfAndSamSheepdog Sam the Sheepdog]].
%%** The [[AmazonianBeauty muscular contestants]] at the beauty pageant in "That's Incredibly Stupid".
%%** Vanilla Lice, the sunglasses-wearing lead rapper of "Toon Out, Toon In".
* TheProblemWithLicensedGames: The Terraglyph and Warthog games are considered ''especially'' bad, since they were largely made as preschool games... when they came out ''years'' after the show ended its original run. The last one in the Platform/PlayStation trilogy in particular came out when much of the show's ''original'' target audience would've been in high school or college at the time of release. You would ''think'' they would've used the extra time to work on a game fans of all ages could enjoy, but nope!
* RetroactiveRecognition:
** In later episodes, Buster was voiced by [[Series/TalesFromTheCrypt The Crypt Keeper]], [[WesternAnimation/RocketPower Raymundo Rocket]] and [[VideoGame/MetalGearRisingRevengeance Monsoon]].
** In the Japanese dub, Furrball was this for Creator/RyuzouIshino, better known a few years latter for voicing the resident ArrogantKungFuGuy in a [[HumongousMecha Mobile Suit]], Chang Wufei, in ''Anime/MobileSuitGundamWing''. Likewise, Fifi is also this for Junko Asami, before voicing none other than Ruri Hadou in ''VisualNovel/{{Demonbane}}'' a few decades later.
** In the Latin American Spanish dub, Buster Bunny was one of the first roles Marcelo Rodriguez did before moving from voice acting and becoming one of the current Spanish announcers of the Wrestling/{{WWE}}'s SpanishAnnouncersTable.
* SerialNumbersFiledOff:
** Most of the Tiny Toons, aside from a few such as Montana Max, are this when compared to the original Looney Tunes.
** Despite being Elmer Fudd's counterpart, Elmyra is almost exactly like Suzanne from ''A Kiddies Kitty''.
* TheScrappy:
** Elmyra originally averted this, as she was actually well-liked early on in the show's run, and is the definition of a character who is enjoyable in small doses. And that's the problem -- as the show went on, the network higher ups [[SpotlightStealingSquad couldn't get enough of her]], [[ExecutiveMeddling pressuring the writers to give her more screen time]], including a couple of [[PoorlyDisguisedPilot Poorly Disguised Pilots]] about her out-of-nowhere family, all the way up to [[WesternAnimation/PinkyElmyraAndTheBrain shoehorning her]] into ''WesternAnimation/PinkyAndTheBrain'' at [[WriterRevolt the protest of everyone involved]] years after ''Tiny Toons'' ended. This constant attention led to people getting a disdain for her voice, appearance, and abuse towards more popular characters of the show, and frequently faced [[KarmaHoudini no comeuppance for it.]]
** Sweetie sometimes falls into this. Mostly due to the fact that unlike her adult counterpart, Tweety, she acts less like a KarmicTrickster, and more as an aggressor. This is especially prominent in her cartoon, "Let's Do Lunch", where her rival, Furrball, was actually trying to ignore her, and not try to eat her. Furrball being TheWoobie doesn't really help with Sweetie's likability either.
* StrangledByTheRedString:
** Fifi and Hamton's entire reason for being together in the show relies purely on PairTheSpares, both being the third 'odd-one-out' of their respective {{Power Trio}}s. Their relationship started by Hamton nervously asking Fifi to the prom despite never showing interest in her before the episode, and [[AssPull "revealing"]] he secretly had a crush on her which came completely out of the blue. Also, after their date in "Prom-ise Her Anything," the pairing was only seldom referenced again in the form of [[https://tinytoons.fandom.com/wiki/Hamton_and_Fifi%27s_Relationship#Episodes_featuring_the_two_as_a_couple.2Flove_interests the occasional brief gag or vague reference]] ([[AuthorAppeal All of which were episodes written or co-written by Paul Dini who also worked on the prom episode]]). This, among other reasons, is why numerous people [[FanPreferredCouple prefer pairing her up with Furrball or Calamity.]]
** Plucky and Shirley also qualify, though it's a bit more justified as [[http://www.platypuscomix.net/people/ruegger2.html Shirley was specifically created to be a female counterpart and love interest to Plucky]] and their relationship was revisited more throughout the series. Still, their largely incompatible personalities and the mostly one-sided nature of Plucky's attraction to Shirley means that during [[https://tinytoons.fandom.com/wiki/Plucky_and_Shirley%27s_Relationship the few times they're truly 'together' onscreen]], they seem like {{Designated Love Interest}}s more than anything.
* SuspiciouslySimilarSong:
** The eponymous song in "[[DisneyAcidSequence Elmyra's Round the World]]" sounds remarkably like "[[Ride/DisneyThemeParks It's A Small World After All]]". ([[IntendedAudienceReaction Which was probably intentional.]])
** Dizzy's spinning theme is very similar to the Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov piece "Flight of the Bumblebee".
** Many times in the series, a soundalike to the Raymond Scott piece "Powerhouse" is used.
* TakeThatScrappy:
** Elmyra getting chased by zombies in "Night of the Living Pets" and then getting a taste of her own medicine after she gives the monster part of her own brain causing the monster to become like her and make her into a pet in "Night Ghoulery". Later on she would guest star in the WesternAnimation/{{Animaniacs}} episode ''Lookit the Fuzzy Heads'', which was an extended TakeThat against her.
** Little Beeper ends up being chased off by Fifi at the end of "Love Stinks", and Calamity actually wins at the end. For those who see Calamity Coyote as TheWoobie (so pretty much, like, 95% of the fanbase), this is [[CatharsisFactor immensely and utterly satisfying to see]].
** Sweetie gets one at the end of "Pit Bullied" (part of "Strange Tales of Weird Science"). She programs Furrball to crave pit bulls so that Arnold will beat him up, but when Arnold asks Furrball why he would want to eat a pit bull, Furrball takes him to the ACME Schtick Center and programs him to crave birds, resulting in Sweetie getting a taste of her own medicine.
* TheyChangedItNowItSucks:
** Voice acting-wise, this is what happened with the voices of the WesternAnimation/LooneyTunes' characters in the Venezuelan Spanish dub, since it was the first time they were voiced by non-Mexican voice actors. The controversy was ''so bad'', that WB decided to exclude anything related from them from being dubbed in Venezuelan Spanish and dubbing them in Mexico since then, regardless how much they have to pay for the dub.[[note]] Dubbing in Mexico is normally more expensive than dubbing in South American countries, due of the quality of Mexican dubs.[[/note]]
** Voice acting-wise in English-speaking countries, there are those who feel that the show went downhill when John Kassir voiced Buster Bunny after Charlie Adler quit (even though the episodes Kassir was in were the last new ones to be made before ''Animaniacs'' premiered).
* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: For Fifi fans, "The Undersea World of Fifi", since it's only narrated by Fifi; she doesn't star in it and only makes a brief appearance. It's also a case of NonIndicativeTitle, since Elmyra is the real star of the short, with Fifi only in it to be a MockCousteau.
* UnintentionallySympathetic:
** In "Prom-ise Her Anything", Montana Max is being legitimately stalked by Elmyra, who wants him to go to the prom with her. He does not have feelings for her, and does not even want to go to the dance. But because Max is the DesignatedVillain he is shown as being in the wrong for rejecting Elmyra.
** Plucky in the Spring Break Special. He is minding his own business and just tries to get a girl to like him. [[UnintentionallyUnsympathetic Buster and Babs]] are running from Elmyra and just as he's about to get his girl, they use him as bait. Only this time, he didn't do anything to deserve it. After it happens, rather than show any care for Plucky like they would, [[OutOfCharacterMoment Buster and Babs make jokes about it]].
* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic:
** Elmyra, and not just in "Prom-ise Her Anything" (see above). She's ObliviouslyEvil and doesn't want to hurt animals, but her idiotic mannerisms annoy people; her victims also make it quite clear that they want her to stop strangling them, but she doesn't seem to pay attention. Her StalkerWithACrush tendencies towards Monty (again, see above) can also tick people off, but not as much.
** Buster and Babs can come across this at times. While they mean well and are the protagonists of the show, they do questionable acts that make them look unlikable. Examples include abusing Plucky throughout the episode "It's Buster Bunny Time" where Plucky is tied up and is supposed to be their "puppet" and in "The Anvil Chorus" where they rain down anvils on Plucky and have him blasted by cannons for the "1812 Overture" ''despite him doing nothing to deserve it'' and in the [[WesternAnimation/TinyToonAdventuresSpringBreakSpecial Spring Break Special]], they place bunny ears on Plucky's head, which causes Elmyra to mistake him for the Easter Rabbit and take him away, all just to get her off of their hides.
* UnpopularPopularCharacter:
** Plucky, like his mentor WesternAnimation/DaffyDuck is a huge ButtMonkey InUniverse, but is famous outside of the show and loved immensely by a large majority of the fanbase, he even got a spin-off called ''The Plucky Duck Show''.
** Furrball is an unwanted stray cat who is often abused and unable to find a home with anyone but Elmyra (who's the most frequent source of said abuse). His status as the show's resident ButtMonkey is epitomized in the lyrics to the opening theme, "Furrball's unlucky," complemented by a piano falling on him as he's happily sniffing a flower. Yet he's quite popular for a relatively minor character, with numerous fanart and fanfiction devoted to him. Being both a RidiculouslyCuteCritter and TheWoobie probably helps a lot, as quite a few Website/YouTube commenters on his shorts express their desire to see him get a home.
** Montana Max is meant to be one of the main antagonists of the show and supposed to be unlikable due to his greedy, selfish, and overall {{Jerkass}} ways. He's also a pretty entertaining ButtMonkey (like his equivalent, Yosemite Sam) whose RefugeInAudacity qualities, including his BrutalHonesty and obnoxiously obscene wealth, provides plenty of humor. Not to mention having a [[Creator/DannyCooksey pretty cool voice actor.]]
* ValuesDissonance:
** Since a lot of the comedy is based on Looney Tunes, it was inevitable that this would end up popping up. While not ''as'' bad as some of the Looney Tunes shorts of old since most of the comedy came from lampooning then current celebrities and movies, a few gags that slipped over from the Looney Tunes era have become this.
** Much like her predecessor, Fifi has been gaining quite a bit of complaints about how her shorts were handled, as two of the four are merely GenderFlipped version of Pepe's shorts of old. Back in the 90s, this was seen as more 'acceptable' due to [[DoubleStandardRapeFemaleOnMale Fifi being female and her targets male]], something which wouldn't be viewed as 'acceptable' today. With Fifi confirmed to be returning in the reboot, it remains to be seen how she'll be handled in that compared to the original show.
** There’s also the fact that it shows some characters, even young teens, smoking. This would ''not'' fly well into children’s media today.
** Animal rights have become a much more serious topic since the 1990s, especially with the advent of PETA, and Elmyra constantly abuses animals (albeit unintentionally). This is believed to be the main reason she was initially dropped from the upcoming reboot.
* VindicatedByHistory:
** During its initial run, ''Tiny Toon Adventures'' received criticism for being a watered-down version of the classic Looney Tunes cartoons, and was often overlooked in favor of other WB cartoons. Upon being discontinued, the show was overshadowed by ''Animaniacs'', and it ended up disappearing into obscurity for a time. ''Tiny Toon Adventures'' came back into prominence via reruns on cable channels as well as home video releases, and is now considered one of the better successors to the Looney Tunes shorts of old, right down to still having quite a big fandom.
** The Creator/KennedyCartoons-animated episodes. They had a big hatedom during the early days of the internet, but that has decreased considerably. It probably helps that, for all of Kennedy Cartoons' problems, their animation on ''Tiny Toons'' still at least looks visually interesting and there were other animation companies attached to the show that had even worse animation than Kennedy's could get even on Kennedy's worst of days.
* TheWoobie:
** It is difficult not to feel bad for Furrball. He spends some of his appearances getting tormented by [[{{Jerkass}} Sweetie Bird]] unprovoked and oftentimes has to go hungry. He also has some of the worst luck out of the entire cast and is frequently [[AndCallHimGeorge Elmya's]] pet when he is not homeless. Oh, he's a kitten.
** Fifi La Fume was supposed to be the DistaffCounterpart of WesternAnimation/PepeLePew whose gag was about being outrageously persistent in pursuing love to the point of [[AbhorrentAdmirer abhorrence]], but she turns out to be a very sympathetic character. Unlike her other Acme Acres classmates, she is much poorer, living in a wrecked car junkyard, and she's just as hopelessly romantic as her predecessor, but being a teenage girl, this means that her heart is far more fragile, leading her to [[BreakTheCutie many genuine bouts of crying whenever she's rejected]], feeling that [[IJustWantToBeLoved no one would love her.]] Being in ''Tiny Toons'' means that even [[ButtMonkey her sad state and gender does not save her from slapstick]], she got a lot of abuses and at one point, [[Recap/TinyToonAdventuresS1E55ViewerMailDay blatantly shown to have been captured by]] [[AndCallHimGeorge Elmyra]] [[DownerEnding to be her pet despite her best efforts to prevent it.]] [[WesternAnimation/TinyToonAdventuresHowISpentMyVacation During her vacation]], when she tried to pursue her favorite movie star Johnny Pew, she ended up being mistreated by him in an actually non-slapstick manner, [[BrokenPedestal he revealed himself to be an unbelievable jerk]] and sent her past her RageBreakingPoint. A major part of how many fans love her is due to how the fans feels so sorry for her.
* {{Woolseyism}}: The Norwegian dub of the show sported some creative translations, where American references that Norwegian children wouldn't get were often replaced with Norwegian ones. Plucky was especially likely to reference Norwegian celebrities (for some reason he seemed particularly fond of name-dropping Kjell Magne Bondevik, the leader of the Norwegian Christian Democratic Party), though the most famous one is probably from Buster in the ''How I Spent My Vacation'' movie. In the original English, Buster's line is "You know, Babsy, in this moonlight you look just like... Morey Amsterdam!" Since nobody in Norway knows who Morey Amsterdam is, the Norwegian dub instead had him compare her to Gro Harlem Brundtland, who was the Norwegian Prime Minister at the time.

!! [[VideoGame/TinyToonAdventures The 1991 video game]]:

* NintendoHard: The game starts off innocently, but as it progresses the levels become more difficult due to the density of enemy population, and some parts require precise jumps. It culminates with the sadistic final level, taking place inside Max's mansion, with sadistic hazards and enemies. The game plays as though it were designed by [[Film/InTheMouthOfMadness Sutter Caine]].
* SugarWiki/NoProblemWithLicensedGames: This game is the first of Konami's many ''Tiny Toons'' video games that's considered fun, challenging, and faithful to the source material in terms of visuals and audio.
