%%* AccidentalInnuendo: The lyrics for "Tickle it Out" are about tickling a cow to get milk out. %%ZCE
* AdaptionDisplacement: In America at least, where the original books aren't as known there as they are in their native UK.
* {{Adorkable}}:
** Miss Whoops is a glasses-wearing klutz who wants to help others; her nasally US voice is more pleasing.
** Mr. Nervous is a glasses-wearing coward who is huggable whenever he is scared.
* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation:
** Mr. Stubborn when he was trying to sell his car to Mr. Persnickety. Was he really just stubborn, or was he trying to scheme the buyer?
** Miss Whoops with her causing accidents. Are they just simply accidents, or is [[https://pimmy.deviantart.com/art/Just-an-Accident-99492722 she doing them on purpose?]]
** Similar to Miss Whoops, is Miss Helpful just oblivious or is she a {{Jerkass}} who intentionally messes things up for her own sick kicks? This is because in "Inventions", she runs off quickly once Miss Calamity starts having chaos in her house after Mr. Lazy uses the remote, implying she wanted to cause trouble for Miss Calamity.
** Many fans see Mr. Tickle as having a tickle fetish, Mr. Bump as a masochist, and Mr. Persnickety/Fussy as having OCD.
** Some fans have speculated that Mr. Rude has a fart fetish considering his obsession with farting seems to go beyond normal {{Gasshole}} tendencies, such as having a doorbell that makes a farting noise.
* AluminumChristmasTrees: Many of the dishes Mr. Grumpy and Mr. Fussy say in the show may sound obscure to younger viewers (e.g., Mashed Swede and yams, crepe suzette, bangers, and mash), but they are real foods.
* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJQ94LPb4hE The theme song]]. Quite a lot of the numbers within the show can be pretty boppy too, such as [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qpcrn3h3kiw "Dillydale Dance Floor"]].
* BaseBreakingCharacter: Because of how the show is done with different character traits, many fans will have different opinions on the many characters.
** Mr. Rude has gotten this treatment from the fanbase. He's either liked for having some of the funniest lines or disliked for being a [[FlatCharacter soulless]] [[FrenchJerk French]] [[EthnicScrappy stereotype]] whose entire schtick is [[{{Gasshole}} fart]] [[ToiletHumour jokes]].
** Characters like Miss Naughty and Miss Scary can be either seen as characters who either make the show enjoyable or don't get any comeuppance for their ruthless actions.
** Miss Calamity, despite being loved by many, is disliked by some for her annoying voice and character design having a more human-like hairstyle.
** Mr. Funny not being able to speak, in contrast to his book counterpart, which some fans were turned off by as they would've liked to hear him speak. Though some think it's probably a good thing he didn't, as it would've clashed with Mr. Scatterbrain (Mark Risley stated this was the reason they changed him).
* BetterOnDVD: The series is better on DVD, as the footage is 16:9, compared to how it's shown on television. This is also the case with the British version, which aside from what the American version has to offer, doesn't have the audio high pitched and contains the missing segments!
* BrokenBase:
** Some fans of the ''Mr. Men'' franchise hate this show for being unfaithful and InNameOnly to the books and [[WesternAnimation/MrMenAndLittleMiss previous adaptions]] (the redesigns of several characters, the very different Americanised setting and the DenserAndWackier tone for instance); other people don't really mind and see the show good in its own right.
** The redesigns of the characters are either good or bad, depending on your view.
*** Mr. Nosy's is one of these that fans tend to polarize. Some dislike the new look, as the old design with his long nose helps portray the character for his traits. But there's some that like the new look, as it's more friendlier looking ([[UnfortunateCharacterDesign considering the original made it look like something else]]).
*** Mr. Lazy's redesign, being the most drastic, was bound to have this reaction. Some hate the new look as it looks nothing like his book counterpart, while others feel it fits his personality.
** The different voices for the British and American versions can be like this. British viewers might find the American voices annoying, while American viewers can found the British voices bland.
* CrackPairing: Fans love to ship Mr. Rude and Mr. Stubborn despite the two only having two segments together and ultimately hating each other.
* CultClassic: The show still has a sizeable fandom well over a decade after it completed its run. It helps the franchise at large is still going.
* DesignatedMonkey: Mr. Bump tends to suffer this a lot, especially in the second season. Although it's [[MeaningfulName clearly in his name]], some fans dislike it.
* EpilepticTrees:
** The theory that Mr. Bump died by being impaled by a clock hand in "Clocks", which has infamously led to multiple edit wars.
** What happened to Mr. Noisy if he was still a whale after Travel, as he didn't appear after that episode (aside from a voiceover). Though the graphic novels show him back to his normal self.
** Miss Calamity's absence, as some fans speculated that she may've died after the first season. Though like with Mr. Noisy, the comics revealed that she still exists.
* EnsembleDarkhorse:
** Miss Calamity, despite her only appearing in the show's initial first season is loved by many.
** Mr. Funny, Little Miss Bossy, Mr. Tall and Little Miss Curious, despite not having many appearances (and in the latter two's case, hardly did anything outside of cameos) have a bit of love by fans.
* EthnicScrappy: Mr. Rude certainly applies. A walking French stereotype ([[KeepItForeign though he's given a different accent in the French dub of the show]]), his entire persona is to simply walk around being a...well, rude {{Jerkass}} towards everyone else. To make matters worse, he's also a major {{Gasshole}}, making him a cartoonish "Smelly Frenchie" stereotype.
* {{Fanon}}: Plenty of fans have their own ideas and imaginings for how the characters from the original books who were either AdaptedOut or created after the show's run would work on this show.
* FandomRivalry: An inter-franchise example: in the show's early days, fans of the show and fans of [[Literature/MrMen the original books]] were in ''flames'' due to the characters' redesigns.
* FridgeBrilliance: In "Flying", Mr. Grumpy says he started working as a flight attendant 30 years ago. 30 years before the episode premiered was 1978, when Mr. Grumpy's book was released.
* FriendlyFandoms:
** The fandom of both this show and the book series overlaps highly with the ''WesternAnimation/ThomasAndFriends'' fandom. Considering the similarities towards the two franchises, it's not all that surprising.
** It was quite common on sites like Website/DeviantArt to see this series crossed over with the ''WesternAnimation/TotalDrama'' series, as it was airing on [[Creator/CartoonNetwork the same network]] at the same time and they each have their own wacky, colorful casts of characters with different personality traits.
* GermansLoveDavidHasselhoff: Starting to become this in France alongside the franchise as a whole, where the French-dubbed episodes outnumber the original English episodes in views on Website/YouTube.
* HilariousInHindsight:
** When the show first came out, various fans of both this and ''[[WesternAnimation/ThomasAndFriends Thomas & Friends]]'' did parody clips depicting several ''Thomas'' characters as the Mr. Men and Little Misses. A year later, some of the UK and Israeli voices from the show would play characters for ''Thomas''. (Though Mr. Tickle and Stubborn's VA and Mr. Bump's VA for the Hebrew dub already voiced Thomas and Mr. Conductor Jr in ''WesternAnimation/ThomasAndTheMagicRailroad'').
** Speaking of ''Thomas'', Mr. Fussy's catchphrase (in the US) "Sweet Henrietta!" become more funny since Rob Rackstraw voices Toby, who owns a carriage named Henrietta.
** Mr. Fussy saying he doesn't believe in ghosts is funny as his voice actor would go on to voice [[Anime/YoKaiWatch a ghost]].
** Both of Mr. Stubborn's voice actors (Godfrey in the US and Lewis [=MacLeod=] in the UK) went on to voice characters in [[WesternAnimation/TheAmazingWorldOfGumball future]] Creator/CartoonNetwork [[WesternAnimation/StevenUniverse originals]].
*** His UK voice actor even voiced a character with the same name as a character on this show - Mr. Small. He left after the first season, though.
** Cheryl Chase using her [[WesternAnimation/{{Rugrats}} Angelica]] voice for Little Miss Bossy is made even more perfect when Alicyn Packard (the voice of Little Miss Naughty, Sunshine, and Whoops) joins [[WesternAnimation/Rugrats2021 that series' reboot]].
* HoYay:
** Some people get this from, Mr. Small and Mr. Nosey. They are HeterosexualLifePartners who are almost always together and share a house.
** In the episode 'Dance, Dance, Dance', after hearing that Mr. Grumpy will be his partner in a tango lesson, Mr. Tickle puts a rose between his teeth and looks at Mr. Grumpy in a rather flirty manner.
** In mid-2021, Mr. Rude x Mr. Stubborn took off, as fans began warming to the idea of them being LikeAnOldMarriedCouple.
* ImprovedSecondAttempt:
** The writers for both Mr. Strong and Miss Sunshine's comics added Miss Calamity after the fan reactions that she was removed in the show.
** Mr. Tall was given more screentime in Miss Daredevil's comic since he was hardly used in the show.
* ItsShortSoItSucks: A lot of fans who like the show were disappointed that it didn't last that long.
* MemeticMolester: Mr. Tickle comes as close as a character can for a lighthearted kids' show.
* MemeticMutation:
** "This X is CHEAP!"
** "I'll give you X!" (honk)
*** "MR. RUDE!"
* OlderThanTheDemographic: The show is aimed at young kids (ages 4-10), yet despite the VagueAge on the characters, they are depicted as adults due to them having jobs.
* OlderThanTheyThink:
** Little Miss Helpful being a SouthernBelle was actually first done in the American dub of the 80s Little Miss cartoon.
** This isn't the first time Creator/RenegadeAnimation made a cartoon about a non-American property - few people realize [[WesternAnimation/HiHiPuffyAmiYumi their last series]] was based on the Japanese pop star duo Music/PuffyAmiYumi.
* PeripheryDemographic: The show is viewed by teens and adults either because they're fans of the books or grew up with the show when they were younger or just because they spotted the show when it aired on Cartoon Network or Milkshake.
* SecondSeasonDownfall: While not considered outright bad, season 2 is seen as weaker then the first for several reasons, such as Miss Calamity being removed, Mr. Bump and Mr. Fussy's increased ButtMonkey nature, the reduced amount of shorts and the new characters not having enough screen time.
* SpecialEffectFailure: The Miss Calamity statue, as it's an edited photo of a figure of her.
* {{Squick}}:
** Mr. Messy has some rather revolting habits, especially to a NeatFreak like Mr. Persnickety/Fussy.
** Mr. Rude [[ToiletHumour passing]] [[{{Gasshole}} gas]], particularly in the 2nd season, where they changed the sounds from cartoony honks to more realistic sounds.
* TearDryer: In "Surprises", [[spoiler:Miss Sunshine's SurpriseParty has gone awry and the inside of her house is an utter mess. Miss Sunshine sees the state of her home and sadly asks if this is the surprise. Things immediately brighten when most of the other Mr. Men and Little Misses appear on a floating platform above her, yelling, "Surprise!!", much to her joy]].
* TearJerker: It may have been brief, but in the episode "Surprises", [[spoiler:when after she's told by Miss Helpful that there was going to be a surprise party for her, when she sees the chaos her home is in, Miss Sunshine looked heartbroken and hurt, almost to the point of tears. That may have been a brief moment, but you can't help but feel sorry for Miss Sunshine here]].
* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter: Mr. Tall and Little Miss Curious. For most of Season 2, they were relegated to nothing more than cameos, and even their speaking appearances had little to no bearing on the plots of the sketches they appeared in. Mr. Tall would've had great plots concerning his height, and Little Miss Curious (who only has two lines in the entirety of the show) could start one off with a question. Alas, it was not to be.
* UnintentionalUncannyValley: The Miss Calamity statue from "Trees", as it looks realistic compared to the rest of the show because it’s actually an edited photo of a blind-bag toy of her.
* UnexpectedCharacter: Mr. Tall playing a semi-prominent role in the first plot of "Travel" with no foreshadowing he'd appear. Considering he was no more than a background character before this, the fans may have been just as surprised to see him as Mr. Fussy was.
* UnnecessaryMakeover: Mr. Persnickety /Pernickety was redesigned from the character Mr. Fussy, but by the time the second season happened, he was given a drastic change in terms of looks. He was repainted dark green and renamed like his book counterpart due to Chorion wanting the show be more like the books. Some fans that grew up watching the show since the first season thought the makeover was unneeded for a few reasons. For one, his original name from the first season made him more high class sounding as compare to "Fussy" which sounds more childish. While fans like his skin color to be more darker compare to the other brightly colored green characters, some thought he should've kept the green hair color like in the first season. The last major complaint from fans was him being more one noted. While Mr. Fussy had his moments in the first season being a neat freak, he does try to be friendly with the other characters. But the second season makes him more meaner as the show focuses more on him being uptight (worse in the comics by Viz where he is strict about the rules) compare to him being fleshed out from the first season.
* ViewerGenderConfusion: Little Miss Scary, due to her deep, boyish voice (in the American dub) and spiky hair.
