* AntiClimaxBoss: Many of The King's fights usually end with the boss getting owned one way or another, and none of them has eaten The King's ill-claimed 'dinner'.
** Dieman ([[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaCDiGames CDI Ganon]]) was defeated by a tossed machine gun. Made all the more funnier if you know the reference behind this. Unfortunately, Harkinian forgot to make Ganon actually eat his shit.
** Shinenzuman ([[VideoGame/FZero Black Shadow]]) isn't fought whatsoever. He gets completely owned and told off ([[DidYouJustFlipOffCthulhu Black Shadow, YOU SUCK!]]) by Captain Falcon, just as The King arrives.
** Otakuwoman ([[Manga/LuckyStar Konata Izumi]]) not only gets her UsefulNotes/NintendoDS destroyed [[WesternAnimation/ThePrincessAndTheFrog and almost takes a page from Dr. Facillier]] on part of Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog, but she gets knocked out of the way by Robotnik's drill tank after she reveals that she has one more trump card Franchise/{{Pokemon}} up her sleeve.
** [[Manga/AzumangaDaioh Tomo Takino]], [[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown after having hit a major jackpot and owning the hell out of The King]], she hits a bad slot machine combo and gets herself squashed by a golden Robotnik statue, and eventually stung by bees, blasting off.
*** Subverted beforehand when she was in her armored robot suit. Sonic really had to put in some effort to make that thing go bye-bye.
* AssPull: No doubt played for laughs in plenty of the episodes. Making a list would be a bit unwieldy, but the defeat of Konata and [[spoiler: the floor coming out from underneath King in his prison cell]] are just a couple of examples.
* BigLippedAlligatorMoment: Lots of them, though a couple of notable offenders would be Baby Daisy's random appearance, the odd farm animals, and Scratch and Grounder reading Manga/AzumangaDaioh, all in episode 2.
* BreatherBoss: Shinenzuman was killed by Captain Falcon, meaning The King won by default.
* FridgeBrilliance: The King defeats Dieman with a thrown machine gun. If you've seen the CDI games, Ganon's defeat makes a whole lot more sense, since a special item (the Book of Koridai and the Wand of Gamelon) being thrown at him kills him instantly.
** It's possible that Tsukasa's seemingly permanent BlankWhiteEyes state is a result of being in catatonic shock. After all, two guys (Snake and Otacon) appearing out of nowhere only to start to beat the crap out of your friend is enough to do that, let alone the weirdness of this series that she happens to be caught in. Then again, it's [[TheDitz Tsukasa]]...
*** Turns into both Main/FridgeHorror and {{Main/Squick}} when you remember that Robotnik told Scratch and Grounder that they could rape them because they weren't useful to him. Why does no one remember this fact?
** Episode 4, part 1 - When Link and Zelda get a call from The King, it's nighttime, yet it shows the King in daytime. How is that possibl- Wait, Japan and Hyrule Castle are obviously in two different time zones!
* GrowingTheBeard: The first two episodes did not look nearly as good as the third one. Then again, Geibuchan ''has'' moved from using Windows Movie Maker to make the episodes to Adobe Premiere Elements. As a result, the effects and animations are much better, and set the score for later episodes.
* HilariousInHindsight: [[spoiler:In Episode 4 it's revealed that The King's shit has been a mass-marketed product in Japan. It may be PlayedForLaughs, but coincidentally at the time of the episode's release, Japan had announced a new type of burger, made by extracting the protein from ''human faeces''. Guess The King's shit really ''is'' big in Japan.]]
* NightmareFuel: The [=ReDead=] only makes one appearance in episode 2, but that's all it needed to scare the crap out of some viewers.
* SpecialEffectsFailure: Played for laughs in episode 3, during the ''VideoGame/{{EarthBound|1994}}'' spoof, the robots don't disappear (like most enemies do when they're defeated in said game because [[SelfDeprecation "Geibuchan is too lazy!"]])
* {{Squick}}: Normally, [[spoiler: shit isn't supposed to be tasty...]]
* ThatOneBoss: Both Konata and Scatterbrain in episode 3 were extremely powerful. Scatterbrain was almost completely impossible to defeat, and Konata's DS would have ensured her victory thanks in part on being a voodoo artifact. The King was undeniably thrashed, but it was probably through lucky breaks and [[DeusExMachina several timely events]] that The King actually succeeded. But no, his shit didn't make the cut for Konata simply because of Scratch, Grounder, and Coconut's interference.
