!!For the ''Swordquest'' video game:
* EnjoyTheStorySkipTheGame: In a way - the games themselves are lacking even for Atari 2600 titles, but resulted in both comic books and an interesting real world story of a project that attempted a real quest for treasure.
* FauxSymbolism: ''Earthworld''[='=]s rooms are based on the WesternZodiac; ''Fireworld''[='=]s on the UsefulNotes/{{Kabbalah}} Tree of Life; ''Waterworld''[='=]s on the Chakra points; and ''Airworld'' would have been based on the I Ching. And then there are the four elements, with each game set in a 'world' of one of the elements. But it doesn't mean anything.
* HilariousInHindsight:
** The fact that ''Airworld'' is completely missing from a set that has Earth, Fire and Water brings to mind the driving plot of ''WesternAnimation/AvatarTheLastAirbender''.
** ''Waterworld'' shares the same name as an infamous [[Film/{{Waterworld}} Kevin Costner film]], both which ended up derailing their series and actor's career respectively.
* TearJerker: An ambitious gaming project that was embraced by so many gamers back in the day would find itself one of the most unfortunate victims of the gaming crash of 1983. Up until November 11, 2022, nobody took the initiative to restart the quest. Even WebVideo/TheAngryVideoGameNerd lamented the fate of this project in his review of it, rather than lampoon it as he usually does.

!!For the ''Swordquest'' comic book:
* {{Narm}}: The names of a number of the villains can be hard to take seriously. Tyrannus isn't all that bad, and even sort of works, but ''Konjuro''?
