* AluminumChristmasTrees: Dangeresque comments that "Homestar" sounds like the kind of guy whose butt he'd kick on an evil secret underwater aircraft carrier. While this ''sounds'' like a lot of the stuff that Dangeresque makes up to make himself sound cool, [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Submarine_aircraft_carrier Underwater Aircraft Carriers were actually a thing]] that saw use during the second World War.
* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic:
** When Strong Bad takes possession of the Trogsword and shouts out a BadassBoast (which doubles as both a ShoutOut and a SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome).
** [[https://youtu.be/QPsL9yjA7ig The opening number for Episode 1 "Handle My Style"]] which sets off the mode perfectly for the next five episodes.
* BigLippedAlligatorMoment: In "Homestar Ruiner", Strong Bad can prank call his own answering machine. The call he leaves involves him making an impression of Homestar saying he's an "attwactive woman" wanting Strong Bad to come on over. Strong Bad then remarks that it was a little weird.
* GeniusBonus: The Wii Channel animations for each episode show Strong Bad running the files for each game on his Lappy, with the extension ".wad". This is the file type for [=WiiWare=] games, comparable to the .exe's Strong Bad is usually running on his computer.
* HarsherInHindsight:
** One of the main promos on the site was a subplot about Strong Bad wandering around the offices of Creator/TelltaleGames, angrily picking fights with the employees and making repeated requests for "GOOD GRAPHICS!" Both hit a little harder after Telltale went bankrupt, and two of the most common postmortem observations ended up being [[PointyHairedBoss an abusive work environment with very poor management]], and their constant reuse of the same outdated engine.
** ''Strong Badia the Free'' had a part where [[{{Cloudcuckoolander}} Homsar's]] non-sequiturs are revealed to be coherent sentences that can be understood with a right artifact, and said artifact gets unceremoniously destroyed. The whole affair is played for laughs, but years later, ''Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 17.2'' plays this plot point somewhat seriously, with Homsar being frustrated with his inability to communicate.
--->'''Homsar:''' I hate to hang up, knowin' as soon as I do, I'll be back to "[=AaAaAah=], you're a pork rind's president!" Or maybe like, "[=DaAaAon't=] get chipsy with the chalk sauce!" Y— you know the kind of garbage that I spout!
* SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments: During the Maps And Minions segment of Strong Badia The Free, two characters on the same space normally fight, with the characters on you side losing, but there are two exceptions- one is, if you have The Cheat and Strong Mad on the same space, they will ''refuse to fight'' and instead share a hug.
* MagnificentBastard: ''Dangeresque 3: The Criminal Projective'': [[TheDogWasTheMastermind Craig]], seemingly nothing more than Uzi Bazooka's right hand The Cheat standin, is revealed to be behind the events of the episode, planning to kill Dangeresque and friends [[GloryHound so he can bask in the resulting fame]]. Creating the robotic Uzi to frame Dangeresque Too?, he has Cutesy Buttons kidnapped while Dangeresque is helping her with a job, proceeding to stay one step ahead of the detective and systematically capturing his allies. Seemingly cornered in his space station, Craig reveals that he lured them there so that he can trap them and have them blown up, making his escape and having Uzi Bazooka guard the exit. Even after being beaten, Dangeresque and Dangeresque Too? barely escape, with Renaldo successfully being killed in the process.
* SugarWiki/NoProblemWithLicensedGames: Although most people agree they're best enjoyed if you know [[WebAnimation/HomestarRunner the actual source material]], the games are still good adventure titles in their own right.
* ObviousBeta: As with many games made by Creator/TelltaleGames, there are ''many'' {{Game Breaking Bug}}s. One infamous example is on the Wii version of Homestar Ruiner; if the Wii is set to widescreen mode, and if the player talks to Coach Z in Extended Play, the game will freeze.
* PortingDisaster: The PSN editions of each episode are insanely glitchy, most likely in part due to the [=DualShock=] controller being a piss-poor substitute for a point-and-click interface.
* TakeThatScrappy: The metal detector became the most reviled item in the first couple episodes due to how finicky it was to use and having to be used often in random areas due to the placement of optional stuff not always being obvious. In the final episode, Strong Bad himself is now sick of using the metal detector and you only have to use it once where it then ends up being destroyed.
* SugarWiki/VisualEffectsOfAwesome: In the cartoon, Homestar, Homsar and The Cheat are only ever seen from side angles, due to LimitedAnimation and their bizarre designs making it ambiguous as to what shape their faces are. They somehow managed to replicate this effect in 3D; look closely and you'll see that when the camera moves, their faces stay at the same angles, even though they're three-dimensional!
